First off, let's talk about the music. IT'S LIVE. sorta. Well at least it sounds like it. A mega-phone is available, super-glued to the wall outside to expand the volume. Next, let's talk about how the margaritas are big- 32, and "made the night before with patron" says the waiter. They are strong, but not tasty. All of that being said, and not to mention the food is terrible, this place is dope. The folks are extremely nice and the service is awesome. Honestly who cares what the bullshit food is like. It's Mexican food in Detroit. I would come back here 100 times and in fact I'm headed back here right now.

I mainly only review on places I love. I have been to this restaurant twice and had great service and food both times. The salsa you get when initially sitting is amazing! It's the perfect amount of hot without getting too nuts! You have to try a margarita since tequila is their specialty! I went with a lime 32oz on ice and loved it. My pork and shrimp tacos were very good and I look forward to trying more on their menu!

Very disappointed. Definitely nowhere near authentic. I suggest traveling a couple miles down the road to Southwest Detroit for Mexican food. They were out of the menu items that we specifically went there for. Ordered the carnita burrito which was mainly stuffed with beans. Seasonings were overly "hot", couldn't really enjoy or determine the flavor. My friend ordered the chicken enchiladas and was also disappointed with the very dried out rice n beans she was served.

I have been here twice, both times for drinks. They have a nice drink menu and the house margaritas come in three sizes. If you get the largest one, you should probably share! I got the drink called the "south beach". It was a blue, creamy, piña colada type drink that was served on the rocks. Really good! We were also given complimentary chips and salsa which were super tasty. It wasn't very busy when we were there and my boyfriend had to wait a little bit of time for another drink. I like coming to this place to start a night out and have some drinks. I will definitely be back to try the food next time!

I was pleasantly surprised! I have nothing, but good things to say about this place. I dined on the patio with a friend on a Saturday early evening. Our server was Ross and he was excellent. He was personable, attentive and funny! We asked him for a recommendation on a marg and he directed us to the Smurfrita frozen. It was great, of course on the sweeter side, but for being frozen still had a slight kick. The small was a generous size. The margaritas go as big as a large which is a 32 oz glass! We ordered the guacamole for an app and it was AWESOME! Loved it! The ingredients all seemed fresh and it was so darn tasty! They add sunflower seeds which was different, but a nice added touch. OMG I totally recommend the gauc, I'm salivating just thinking about it. (Also to note the complimentary chips and salsa are great as well, I'm picky when it comes to my restaurant salsa and this reminded me of the salsa you get in Mexican town). For the main entree we had the enchiladas(the Ranchero not the suiza). It was a great dish. The food wasn't dry and was compacted with flavor. The beans weren't a slam dunk for me, but that's just my taste buds. My friend who has studied the Mexican culture extensively and has visited Mexico many times was also super pleased with everything! The decor is colorful, the atmosphere is fun and everything tasted great! It's a win win to come here! I'll be bringing my family in to try this place very soon!

What killed this for me was the service. Our poor waitress was waiting on her tables and bussing / cleaning the other waitstaff's tables. Not many veggie options or beans made without pork, so I had to settle for the garlic shrimp which wasn't bad, but I had like a total of six shrimp as my entrée. I asked for no rice and to double the veggies, I received nothing. And our food took over a half an hour to come out.

The night started off well... Friends, birthday celebration, whipped cream on your nose and a free shot of tequila.. And then my experience turned more into a headache. And I wish I could blame the tequila. We had a big party but it wasn't packed at all. Everyone was trying to start their night right and order margaritas and a simple dinner. Super simple like 3 tacos and rice. Our server forgot someone's drink for like 20 minutes and it seemed like he couldn't multi-task and take other orders while grabbing the forgotten marg. it wasn't even the 20 minute marg incident that made us mad, it was the service when it came to our food. I got my food first which I was happy with.. Literally the next plate came 15 minutes later and it came out one at a time... Most of the plates were wrong. The server thought he served everyone but he didn't. 3 people were still missing their food. The server mentioned talking to his manager and getting a discount because he saw our frustration. It took about another 10 minutes for people to get their food and when it came to the bill, the server got real defensive when we mentioned the discount saying he couldn't do anything for us and he'd grab the manager if we really wanted to complain. I love tacos. But not this taqo

Why did I come back here after they stole my credit card number, along with 14 other people from the same party? Because the food was decent and I could still pay cash and be safe. Not Any More - They changed the menu, the burrito was dry shredded chicken with rice and beans... nothing else. Also, no more free chips and salsa, it's now $6! Go home TAQO you're drunk

  • Rebel H.

Okay, so I tried the vegetable tacos. Not bad at all, had a nice blend of seasoning and a pretty good balance of flavors. The staff was great, they really try to make your experience pleasant. My server Christy was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice job. I would come back again in a month or so and see if they make any new types of tacos. The tacos started at about $3 to about. $6 so it's a little on the high side but the trade off is a good meal.

  • Zachary P.

Wait staff was very friendly and prompt. I ordered 3 tacos (the catfish, duck, and mahi) all were good but a little sweeter than expected on the catfish. Great overall, tacos seemed a little small compared to the other menu items even when I ordered 3 next to my wife's chicken Botona, but the prices were right for the quality food. House margarita was good as well.

I really liked this place alot, but after tonight I'm never coming back. Food was salty, service was a complete disgrace. I bring all of my friends, family, and coworkers here, but I will not be recommending this place anymore. Our waiter got almost every single order wrong. Most of us didn't even get the food or drinks we asked for. Ugh so disappointing. I was going to take everyone to Rub Pub next door, but passed on that after we finally got our bills. The management needs to whip their staff into shape and closely monitor the quality of food here.

$15.00 for a 32 ounce Margarita Great:) cant beat that price !! That's technically 3 Margaritas in one Woohoo:). Authentic Mexican Cuisine

  • Meagan M.

Excellent food. I ordered the corn dip appetizer and two tacos. I chose the avocado taco and the pork belly taco. While the portions were a little small, they were on par for the price of $3 each. We also ordered the huge house margaritas. My friend got watermelon and she said it was great, I ordered grape and it was like drinking cough syrup. The waitress offered to send it back but I finished it as we were on our way to a concert at The Fillmore. I think the margaritas were a little pricey at $15 and should probably be listed on the menu as such. I was shocked that 2 margaritas, 4 tacos, and an appetizer cost $50.

Back for more at Taqo. Got down early for the Tigers and a large margo has my name on it.

This is my first Yelp review - after having the worst restaurant experience that I have encountered in the last decade here, I was compelled to leave this one. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes to get our food - it was singularly the worst Mexican fare that we have had in a very very very long time. We had the Carnitas and a Burrito, both horrible, nearly inedible, and horrible indigestion followed. Run, do not walk, as fast as you can away from this place. It won't allow me to put zero stars so it shows here as one, way too generous!

    (1)
  • Ashley M.

I only came to eat the tacos. Two were good, one was way overly salty (chargrilled fish tacos). There were some good flavors going on in the tacos, but I just feel like it wasn't really worth the money. The tacos were pretty small, even for being $3-$4. We sat outside and the restaurant music was blaring super loud dance music even though it was only 5pm.

We went on a Friday night, Tiger game day downtown.. We first tried to get in to the Bucharest Grill, then Rub's but both places were packed, so we were lucky enough to get seated right away at Taqo. The service was good and the food was plentiful . We chose taco's, Shrimp Pork belly and Pork. I am a fan of the Pork belly (how could anyone screw up pork belly, right)the other ones were just average. We are not big fans of Margaritas but, if you are you might want to check this one out, they are huge and decorative and they boast a large selection of Tequila. The rating would have gone up a little if they had a larger selection of wine and if it was served in the proper wine glass but, its Downtown right. Recommendation, I might not hurry back or make a special trip to eat there again but, I would defiantly go back if my other choices were full.

Food was good and had a great bbq taco (I highly recommend). Great price, a little slow so don't come if you're in a hurry.

Seems like management gets back to everyone but reading other post problems don't seem to get resolved take some time to get the complaints taking care of instead of trying to make people think you actually are concerned by writing back.

Deliciously flavorful food with generous portions. My husband had the taco salad. He was not as impressed as I was with the steak fajita. Not a guacamole lover but this was amazing.

    (4)
  • Tricia H.

Meh is about right. Not really great considering downtown is where you get good Mexican. The last time I was there they were out of a lot of things - including iced tea. The service has always been spotty - food comes out at different times for groups, forgotten orders, etc. I want it to succeed as with anything downtown - but they have a ways to go.

    (2)
  • Mike S.

Friendly service, but kitchen is horribly slow. Chips are not warm and salty greasy the way I like them. Rather bag plain. Food is tasty when it finally came. Guac is below average which is my defining line. Biggest Margaritas I've ever seen and decent Mexican beer selection in draft. Not a must do place, but never at capacity, so take good with the bad.

Went there last night! Great food good service I had the Steak Taco special, it was full of flavor Friend had Tuna Tostada it looked fabulous she said it was great. I will be back for a Game Day for sure

I wish there was a "Negative" star because this place does not deserve a star at all. This review is not intended to be inflammatory, but the experience we had last August was very upsetting. On August 14, a group of coworkers and myself went to the Tigers' game, but before the game we stopped at Taqo for lunch. We had a group of 5 and were able to get a table within 10 minutes, considering that it was a Tigers' day game this was not bad. The waitress was very friendly and suggested the guacamole and roasted corn calamari for appetizers, we order these suggestions and were good. Three of us order "El Taquero" and we chose "pastor" instead of having a combination of tacos. The other two ordered Carne Asada and Enchiladas Suizas. These last two items were OK, but the El Taquero al pastor were HORRIBLE. We believe the waitress must have informed the manager because he came to our table to find out what was wrong with our tacos. We told the manager that we were very disappointed with the Tacos al Pastor, the meat was boiled pork meat instead of the traditional guajillo/achiote marinated roasted pork. To our disbelief the manager's response was "I know, but Gringos don't know better." I told the manager that plenty of "Gringos" go to Taqueria Lupita where they serve great Tacos al pastor; therefore; "Gringos" do know better. His response was "I know, but the type of Gringo that comes to the Tigers' games doesn't know better." We could not believe that "the" manager was putting down 99% of his restaurant customer base. We were very upset and told the manager that we would not come back to the restaurant. Our group was a very diverse group: a coworker from Mexico City, a coworker from El Salvador who had lived in Mexico for 10 years, a "Gringo" from Maryland and a "Gringo" from Michigan. These two "Gringos" had lived in Mexico for at least 14 years. Lastly, "me." I was born in Texas and am of Mexican descent. So, you can imagine how disgusted we were with the manager to express himself the way he did. We felt that regardless of the ethnicity of the restaurant, it is the obligation of the establishment to educate its customers of authentic ethnic food, be it Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Ethiopian, etc.. Better yet, NEVER underestimated your customers.

Yet another "got my credit card stolen here". Was with a group and everyone's cards were swiped - fraudulent charges started showing up less than 48 hours later. Being that I dine out downtown regularly, I actually keep a specific card just for using at shady places when I don't have cash, and I'm really glad I used that one to pay my bill. As far as the food and actual service goes? Meh to bad. We were basically the only ones in the restaurant and they still had trouble keeping track of who had which orders and getting things out in a timely fashion. On a previous visit, my plate of sizzling fajita vegetables sat sadly alone as they approached room temperature while I had to ask at least 3 times for someone to actually bring out the tortillas that are supposed to come with them. One member of my party actually managed to finish his meal prior to my tortillas arriving, so it had to be a good 20-30 minutes. If you want any semblance of good mexican, there's a better option two blocks south-east. If you want some drinks, there's a plethora of options nearby that should satisfy. If you want to not get your credit card used at Jewel Osco in Chicago and you're dead set on Taqo, bring cash.

Went quickly before a Lions game. Ordered a chicken quesadilla w/ added grilled veggies. Portion was huge, and it was delicious! Guac was pretty good. Had a side taco which was meh.. With two beers I was outta there with $20 tax/tip included. Pretty solid. Looks like we were lucky we paid cash!

This place is amazing! It was during the week with only a few customers but we were intrigued by the margarita machines soon as we stepped in. The bartender was attentive and made great food and drink suggestions. The margaritas were awesome and super sized! We ordered a variety of specials (not just the normal Mexican Town offerings) and Chef Stephanie came out to see who was sampling the new menu. She is a passionate chef/manager who really knows her stuff. We are now kindred family! Give it try, you won't be disappointed.

  • Maria L.

We tried this place after a good experience and were disappointed. It seems like some of the items were taken off the menu that we really liked. The vegetarian options seemed limited again. The salsa still needs a lot of help and the service has really gone downhill over the past few months. I would never return. the place is also filthy

We made reservations for 10 people on New Years Eve before going out for the night. We were seated immediately- the place was EMPTY! We had a wonderful waitress, Candy, who was just generally great. The food was great, although I was pretty disappointed that they were out of tamales. One weird thing was that they don't actually have regular tacos on the menu unless you get them as part of a combination plate. This is strange for a place called Taqo...

    (4)
  • Kelly B.

I don't even need a bunch of words to review this meal. It was hardly edible mush. Gross. Although food baked into my beer glass. And pretty sure the bartender was bartering "something" with another guest. Won't be back.

I like Taqo for what it is; a Mexican joint around the corner. It's a nice place to stop in and have a quick lunch. The food isn't the best or most authentic I've ever had, but I have never had a bad meal here. I enjoy getting the combination plates and trying new items each time I come. So far, my favorite has been the chicken tortilla soup. The chicken is so tender! Overall, it's a great atmosphere and perfect for accommodating large parties (I've been here several times with 10+ guests).

We were greeted right away and seated promptly at our choice of table. The service was prompt and thorough, we never waited more than a minute or two for anything. The tequila list is massive and we were recommended something delicious by our server. The free chips and salsa was a nice touch and the food was amazing. Some of the best tacos in a while, hands down. We recommend this place and would definitely visit again.

    (4)
  • Meghan R.

Only reason this gets the second star is because the food was good. Service was awful. Waitress forgot drink orders and messed up food, didn't even come back to check. Manager took off our bill but really looked like she would rather be anywhere else.

Cool Mexican spot in the heart of Downtown. Allow a little extra time here because food & service is a bit on the slow side when there busy.

  • David J.

My party and I had the lunch portion fajitas and coca-colas. Man it was good and man do they have some large portions. Soda was bubbly and sweet, fajitas were moist and flavorful. However, we were not offered waters with our meal. Service was fast to replenish the chips and salsa. Man, that Mexican Tiki Fun atmosphere provides what feels like a small slice of Mexico in Detroit. The tequila selection is extensive allowing options for your new born niece to your centenarian elders. BONUS! DID I MENTION THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION????? You can't beat that kind of service! Keep up the good work sweetcakes! ATTN: Canada. I have a mitten shaped wasteland on your border for sale. High hopes for this place. I'm a tequila enthusiast and couldn't wait to stop here. As soon as you walk in you feel an amazing vibe. Great location, welcoming staff, and the wall of bottles, it's all very well put together. Food was sub par, flavorless chicken that taste like it was boiled in chicken stock and then shredded. Chips were deep fried in old grease. Boring flavored frozen mixed drinks. If it wasn't for the great Mexican beers on tap, and the best tequila selection I wouldn't be back. Next time I won't be eating though, that's for sure.

Was very diaapointed when i came to eat here. Looks can be decieving and unfortunantly this was one. I ordered enchiladas with a side of rice and beans. It was the driest food ever. The rice was very soggy with no flavor at all. I am hispanic and this food was nothing close to a taqo place what so ever. Would not reccomend this place if you were really starving at all. I ended up throwing everything in the gabage when i got home my poor baby wouldnt even eat it. Highly overpriced for such poor quality food.

Came here for a drink and to share an appetizer before the Wings game. Our server was young and eager to recommend her favorite appetizer. It was shrimp in a big margarita glass in a red, salsa like base. It had avocados and cilantro in it. It's served with crackers but I preferred the tortilla chips instead. It seemed odd but was actually pretty good. The margaritas were large so it took awhile to finish. The food looked good from what I could tell. I'd definitely come back for lunch or dinner. It's a new, solid restaurant in downtown Detroit.

  • Lindsey P.

Does not even deserve 1 star - Worst restaurant/dining experience I've ever had in Detroit. Waitress made every mistake possible - forgot drink orders, forgot water, no silverware which I noticed long before our food came and once we were sitting with food and still no silverware, I asked again - she came back with some silverware that wasn't wrapped in a napkin set and my fork was dirty with a piece of meat stuck in it! GROSS! I walked up to the bar myself to get a set of clean silverware. Food was nasty - wound up just grabbing some food at the ballpark because it was that bad.

  • Nina M.

I don't find it to be better than Mexican town and the service was not something that would have me come back. I ordered basic tacos to go (ala carte is take out only). I was not thrilled and would suggest a visit to Alley Taco just a few blocks away.

    (3)
  • Silvanah G.

Food horrible. I got taco salad, boyfriend got tacos.. Both disappointing. Friend got monster burrito-- he liked. Not worth the 1.5 hour wait

  • Chris L.

Good concept, bad execution. Can't pick the tequila for your margarita? Are you kidding? Server told is they were pre-mixed...Eater advertised they were not. Strike one. Got our first drink orders wrong too boot, strike two. And then were unable to leave sour cream off the food we ordered. Strike three. And the food was no better than Chili's or On The Boarder. If you're looking for a place to get an OK but overpriced margarita check it out, otherwise avoid at all costs.

BEWARE! I was at this location along with a large group of people a few weeks ago. Everyone in the group had their card number stolen a few weeks later and was used at Meijer or Kroger or for cash advance. Keep reading below, this is not the first time this has happened. When making a police report, I was also advised this is not the first time this has happened there. BEWARE!!!

This place has it all. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food is phenomenal. If they keep this up, Taqo will be around for a long, long time. They're right across from Comerica Park too, making this a prime spot for a pre-game meal.

Downtown area needs this! The stadium area was in need of some good Mexican food with a fun atmosphere. Wife and I stopped in on a Friday afternoon to get some lunch with another couple. My first impression was Mexican Tiki Fun but done tastefully. We were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered a medium size frozen margarita and a strawberry daiquiri. Man they are good and man do they have some LARGE size drinks. BONUS! Did I mention over 200 kinds of tequila? Chips and salsa showed up and were good but event better because we ordered a guacamole which we really liked. On to the meals. Wife had the veggie quesadilla and thought it was great. They have zucchini in their veggies which was a nice surprise. All the veggies were cooked well and quesadilla had a good amount of cheese. 2 of us had the chicken fajitas and Shrimp fajitas which we both really liked. We had corn and flour tortillas that came warm wrapped in foil. The lunch portion was only $7.99 for chicken and $9.99 for shrimp. It was plenty of food! Other meal we had was the botana grande (basically large nachos). We had these with ground beef and they were good. Not greasy but not dry. Had fresh jalapeno and all the fixins. All meals came with rice and beans which I liked. Seems everyone has their own taste for rice and beans so this is a tricky one. I enjoyed Taqo's. Overall review: Great location w\ patio Great fun atmosphere and friendly staff Good quality food with a good variety menu Good drinks Decent prices with a lunch and dinner menu Fast service Taqo will continue to grow if they continue to produce quality food for a good price. The location is tough for businesses as we have seen many come and go in the area. I hope Taqo stay around! We will be back soon.

I went for the first time last week, it was okay. I'm hoping the are working out the "opening" kinks. * The tacos were really good, I will be getting them again. So was the rice. * The tequila list is impressive, however, the margaritas are not. The house margarita is made with sour mix, which is really gross! The only thing that saved it was I got to put in my favorite tequila. They also didn't have a lot of margaritas to select from, I was hoping for some unique ones. * The guacamole was awful, it tasted like it was pre-made and frozen. As it sat on the table, water was pooling in the bowl. * Salsa was fresh and really good. * Our service was amazing, our server was very on top of it and very attentive. * The atmosphere was great.

Someone who works there is stealing credit card numbers and using them to make purchases around the metro Detroit area. At least 6 of my co-workers Credit Card Numbers have been stolen. My credit card company called telling my my card was compromised and issued me a new card. We have traced it back to eating there. DO NOT EAT HERE!

  • Alayna O.

If I could give a negative star I would. This place is officially the worst. Not only can they manage to mess up nachos, steel people's credit card info they now have opened a club above them that blasts their music so loud it shakes my apartment.

    (1)
  • Angela R.

    1. Your music outside is too loud and annoying. I would be pissed if I had to listen to that while eating outside RUB. 2. Make sure your salsa dishes are clean when you put them out for guests. Maybe add some flavor to your salsa too. 3. Take the torta off the menu. Your bread is too thick and seriously the thing was the most dry sandwich I ever tried to eat. The service was great - the food was not.

I was really excited to try this place. The atmosphere was wonderful and I love the decor. However, I wish they spent more time on the food and drinks. -On Eater Detroit (where I learned about their opening), they claim to not use any mixes for their cocktails. Our group ordered margaritas, that were shockingly salty (even salted rim for a specific no-salt request) and tasted very similar to margarita mixes we've all had. So I'm little suspicious of their claim.. or they've surprisingly decided to mix up their own margarita to taste like a cheap mix. -I got the Mexico City Salad. mango, jicama, pineapple, and steak... wow sounds delicious! Well, I got steak covered in cheese (not listed), 3 small slices of mango and a couple of carrots over greens. I asked my waitress "hey is this the right salad?" She was polite but perplexed. A few minutes later a gentleman brought over a bowl of pineapple and apologized that their local supplier was out of jicama. Perhaps an opening kink, but they should have handled it upfront instead of serving something up and acting like it was the menu item I ordered. -Others got carnitias, steak fajitas, the plate of seafood (shrimp/scallops,etc.) and seafood fajitas. We also shared salsa and guac. All the dishes were really mediocre. We were all really disappointed. Overall, I recommend this place if you're just looking for drinks (they're cheap and the quality matches), but after a baseball game at Coamerica park nearly across the street, that's probably all your group might be looking for. I do not recommend ordering any food here. It is disappointing. I hope the owners are looking at these reviews and realize that they probably need to figure this out because as more folks try this place, I think the word "disappointing" will be on everyone's tongue. So good luck - please do better....

My Card # Was Stolen: Along with 15 other people in one night, my card number was stolen and used at a suburban Meijer after dining at Taqo. The drink was fine, the food quality is mediocre, but the card theft en masse is unacceptable. I would not recommend Taqo to anyone.

We went here on Saturday evening (12/27) about 8:15. We walked in and got seated right away. There were only three other tables that had diners which seemed odd for a Saturday night. We sat there and waited and not one person acknowledged us, approached us, brought us water, etc. We counted at least seven employees all around us (seemed to be four servers, a busboy and two bartenders) and not one even bothered to come over. Long story short, we walked out after 20 minutes of waiting. It looks like they have a huge tequila selection which would be great, but with all the restaurants sprouting up downtown, this one will/should be gone soon. In addition to the lack of service, the place reeks of bleach as it seemed they were cleaning the table tops which some sort of bleach water. Yikes.

I got aroz con pollo, was great, I'd order it again. Rice had lots of flavor. Staff was very nice. Chips and salsa was good also. I wasn't expecting much going in but was overall very pleased with the meal. I'd recommend this place for sure.

First of all, I'd like to say that the service here was awesome and that our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Secondly, I had a peach margarita here and it was excellent. We also tried the queso chorizzo dip for an appetizer and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the food at this place was a let down. For the price, I expect better. I've been to other Mexican restaurants in this price range that were much better tasting and better quality. I had the chicken enchaladas. It was disappointing that they only had a dribble of sauce on them. The place had recently changed their pricing so almost everything was an "upcharge". Want rice and beans with your dinner? Upcharge. Want the basic chips and salsa they give for free at most other Mexican restaurants? $6 upcharge. I would go back, but only for the margaritas and queso dip.

The food is good but... I, along with several others had their credit card information stolen from this place. They attempted to use mine at a Wal-Mart in Livonia, while others had theirs used at a Meijer or Kroger in the same area.

Big proponent of this place however I'm pretty sure both me and my coworker had our identity stolen here(happened within one week of eachother and card was used around Michigan. Never use the credit card I used here but did bc I forgot my debit card that day). Use cash if you can!

I went to Taqo for lunch and my food was definitely good! I had the chicken tacos and I added the spicy red sauce to them. They were delicious. I also liked the fact that they were double wrapped because I could remove one of the shells (save some carbs) and still hold the taco together. We'll definitely be back for Margaritas next time :) They looked huge.

Friends and I were looking for a quick bite to eat before a show. We had about an hour, plenty of time for Mexican food surely. Maybe anywhere else but here. We were seated fast enough, no wait, maybe that was the first bad sign. We sat there for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We ordered drinks and were brought chips and salsa. Their chips were grease soaked and tasted like the dryer hadn't been changed since they opened. The salsa was flavourless. The drinks were good enough, they did their job. We ordered food, and waited for what seemed an eternity. Finally, one of my friends got up and talked to a manager. She said drinks on her. We were already late, so we got up and left. There were other customers there that looked unhappy, and I can't blame them. It shouldn't take an hour to get dinner and drinks, not with Mexican food. And the service was poor as well. We were ignored, even after our order was taken. Our waitress wouldn't make eye contact with us or look in our direction. To say the least, we were very disappointed. If you have a desire to wait a long time, eat terrible chips and salsa, and be ignored, this is the place for you! Enjoy!

All of these other reviewers are crazy. I grew up 8 miles north of Mexico (Chula Vista) and I have to say, for a Mexican restaurant in Michigan this is some pretty damn good food. My boyfriend said the Margarita was really good and was not a mix. I got the Asada waffle fries and they were delicious. This place is new, hot, and happening I'd say come here for some good food

We had been looking forward to trying Taqo since it opened, as on the outside it looks a high-end tequila/taco taqueria, but on the inside it's a janky Tex Mex restaurant. Once seated, our chairs and table wobbled, we received no waters, our simple meals came out wrong, and to our table before our drink orders (which we placed immediately) arrived. Once our meals arrived, they had no flavor and were thoughtlessly prepared. The limes for my Corona and my carne asada tacos had clearly been sitting out too long and were dry. How do you screw up a LIME? THEN they tried to bring out MORE food we didn't order to our table. Horrible staff, complete chaos all the way around, overall lousy service, and not even adequate food. They DID give us 20% off our bill once we bitched. Taco Bell is better than this place. If you're going Downtown to a show or a game, avoid this headache... just lookin' out for you. Read the other negative reviews, they are on point, too bad Taqo isn't, because Downtown Detroit needs GOOD restaurants, not schlocky crap like this and it's adjacent also below average and dirty Rub Pub BBQ. Both suck.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. We had a team lunch and our waitress was great. Then we ordered our food. While the chicken, chorizo, and steak were fine the beef smelled and tasted like a chemical had been put on it. It was a worse taste than rancid beef (which I would have rather been served). The chef then came out to tell us he just mixed fresh well cooked meat with some burned meat. Thing is we have all had burnt meat and it never tasted as bad as that beef did. 6 people at the table had ordered something with beef and all had the same reaction and now are having cramps. As someone who has worked in the food industry you 1. Don't mix product and 2.if multiple people are telling you something's wrong you don't fight them with it, you grin and bear it taste your food and if it's like they are telling you, you toss it and make a new batch. Will never be going back for fear of much worse happening.

Food is very good, quick and good service. Disappointed they stopped the chips and salsa. Their salsa was very good, but not work paying appetizer price for. Margaritas are very good. We will likely return

I'll first say that they might be still working some kinks out. If I return, which I most likely will, and have a different experience, I'd be happy to update my review. Truthfully, I'm somewhat picky about Mexican food, so I had pretty low expectations of this place. Even with that in mind, I and no one I was with particularly enjoyed our food. Keeping this from a two-star (or even one-star) rating would be a few specific things. While we've all seen it before, the decor and atmosphere for a tex-mex place is well done. I saw some other reviewers have issues with service and that was not the case for us. Our waitress was awesome and everyone else we dealt with during our visit was super-friendly and helpful. Their chips and salsa, while not life-changing, were pretty good. Bottom line: I anticipate being back here for drinks, for dinner I'll go somewhere else.

It's ok here. The food is not authentic at all, but it's Mexican style and decently priced. The chips are very thin and salty. The staff is courteous. If you like tequila they have about 100 different types.

I should've kept all my taco experiences in SW Detroit. Dried out rice, blandest refried beans I've ever had. I had to mix the salsa (which was also pretty bad and only beat out for the "Worst" designation for items eaten at Taqo by their complimentary tortilla chips, which tasted stale - somehow it made the beans and rice salvageable). I wish two house margaritas would've made the experience more worthwhile, but for $8-9 each...they did the opposite, just reiterating how much I was overpaying for subpar food. Had a pork tamale and a chicken enchilada as the main meal items. Lukewarm. Bland. Just baffled at how they're still in business. Maybe it's the tequileria-side of things and the liquor markups keeping them afloat. All because Bucharest was filled to the brim and I succame to hunger. I wish I had kept my $27+ and hunger pangs instead.

I wish I could give 0 stars. We went with a group of 20 tonight and received awful service & food. Many of us had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. The restaurant was never more than half full the entire time we were there, so it wasn't a busy issue. It took over 10 minutes to get drinks each time anyone ordered, and several times the server had to be reminded of the order. My favorite part of the evening was when we all received our food and realized not one person received any beans. When we asked the server where the beans were...she stated, "I guess we are out." A Mexican restaurant with no beans? Really? Never once did a manager come over to apologize for slow service or the lack of beans. The manager was well aware of the service issues as she was present when I went to the service bar myself to retrieve drinks that had been sitting there for over 10 minutes, and I asked her specifically for appetizer plates, more salsa, & silverware. No one finished their plate, as the food was not good. The flautas were lightly deep friend enchiladas. The rice was dry & tasteless. The chips were stale. The enchiladas were packed full of dry meat with a sprinkling of flavorless sauce. As we were a large group, it was expected that 18% gratuity was added to our tab, but that was robbery. We were charged for food that was inadequate, and not what was advertised, and the service was sub-par. Also, loud house music, really? And every time an employee went out back to smoke, cold air rushed it. As well as when someone came in the front. We all had to wear our coats. Skip this restaurant, and hopefully it will close and something better will come in it's place.

I went to this restaurant during its first month of existence. THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE OPENED. I went in with my wife to check it out, as we leave less than a block away. We were seated swiftly, and welcome with tortilla chips. Nice. We finished the basket of chips after several minutes passed.....but our waitress had yet to greet us. After about 10-15 minutes, or waitress came over. We asked several questions about the menu, but rarely got any educated response back. She wasn't very familiar with the menu, not sought out somebody who was. We ordered the "Mar Y tierra" and the "Taqo Torta". Flank Steak was very similar to chewing gum. Was very hard to chew and wasn't properly done. We ended up calling the manager over who had trouble explaining the condition of the food. He offered a margarita on the house. We got the margarita, and the drink was full of salt (not on the rim, but IN THE DRINK). It's safe to say we will not be back here.

I went for my first time a few weeks ago, awful experience. They were understaffed, the server was confused, and the food was bland. I got two tacos and asked to not have the beans and rice meal, which was $7 - they still charged me the $7.99 for the two tacos. I didn't bother saying something, it just wasn't worth it an hour and a half after our meal. I gave them a second try this week, hoping they improved. I ordered carry out - two shredded chicken tacos, with just cheese and lettuce. When I returned to work, I opened my food, and they gave me fajita chicken tacos, with onions, a ton of cilantro, and their salsa verde. The only good thing I heard about this place are the margaritas....but those can't be hard to mess up, unlike their entrees. Will not be going back here.

Went here recently and the service was very poor. They didn't seem to know who our server was, so one of them finally took ownership of the table. The food was lukewarm at best and not very good. I had enchiladas and the cheese was barely melted. I also saw a staff member knock over a clean cup and put it back with the clean cups after if hit the floor! I was disgusted. I will not be returning.

The atmosphere is awesome and I love the decor, but that is it. I was really excited to try this place, as I work in the building next door and also LOVE Mexican style food. It took a minute for the server to acknowledge, but that's ok. I ordered the nachos, or as they are called at Taqo, the Botana Grande: "fresh chips layered w/ your choice shredded chicken or ground beef, beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and guacamole". Other meat is $1.99 extra. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. It took 40 minutes! For NACHOS! Ok, fine, it better be really good, right? No. The chips are stale and soggy from the REFRIED beans, white QUESO cheese sauce, and JALAPENOS. There was no lettuce and no tomatoes. I realize that the menu description leaves room for apparent interpretation, but Queso cheese instead of melted cheese needs to be spelled out. I hate Queso and never would have ordered them if I knew that was what was coming. Finally, I get the bill. The waitress charged me for additional meat: chicken. I thought that was included in the price? It was in the description...But at this point, I am done. I pay (and leave a 20% tip) and leave. I'm not sure if I should give them some time to work out the kinks (as they opened just a couple weeks ago), but at this point I don't want to waste my money there. I hope if you try it, you have a MUCH better experience!

What a disappointment. First, the servers couldn't decide whether it was lunch or dinner prices. Then our server didn't understand what vegetarian meant, which was understandable since there were only two vegetarian options on the menu. She also did not know how to pronounce menu items. Lastly, my ice tea cost the same amount as my friends margarita. Not impressed.

Went for a quick bite to eat after a game. Our waitress Destine was great!! Made great recommendations. The Margarita + Corona was great! And I'm a margarita snob. Food wasn't authentic but better then most Mexican restaurants. Overall good experience. Great atmosphere in the heart of the city. We will be back.

Went on a warm Saturday night with my boyfriend and the place was packed. Found 2 seats at the bar, I had grabbed a menu on my way in, so while waiting for the bartender to wait on us, we looked it over. The back lists all the tequilas they offer, in 3 different rows. When the bartender came I over I asked him to explain the groupings and he said they were arranged by flavor, I asked for a little more info and he very condescendingly said, the 1st row is like vodka, the next one rum and the next one whiskey and then walked away as if that explained everything. I commented to my boyfriend about what an a** the bartender was. We ordered vodka drinks instead and he made them wrong. I then went to the 2 stall restroom and discovered no toilet paper in the holder in my stall, but a large industrial style roll on the back of the toilet, water everywhere, no paper towels to dry my hands. In other words, the bathroom was a pig sty. We should have left then, but decided to try the food. I told a bouncer type person when I came out about the state of the bathroom, and he said ok, let me tell someone, but when I went back in just before we left 30 minutes later, nothing had improved. We ordered 2 beef tacos and 1 chicken quesadilla. My quesadilla was a folded over flour tortilla with chicken inside, no cheese and garnishes on the side. The tacos were open faced with beef & cheese. Neither tasted great. We also tried the chips and chili con queso, which was the only food choice we were happy with. Maybe they're still working out the kinks, but I wouldn't go back until they clean up inside, get some decent friendly bartenders and make the food tastier.

Update: I posted in early Dec that credit cards were getting skimmed at this place. The manager posted that I was making "serious accusations" on here. I now see about 10 more posts that say the exact same thing and very recently, too. Sounds like this place has a problem & hasn't figured it out. I guess my accusations, as they call it, we're pretty much right on.

We decided to try this place again in spite of our bad experience previously. Our server, Candice, updated us on the menu changes and how to order a margarita if you did not want it premade. She was very knowledgable about the menu and the different tequilas available for up-charge. She was attentive and readily available despite the amount of tables she was serving at the time. The food was still delicious, less onions this time in the monster burrito (than previously stated in my last review) because boyfriend asked. The piña colada is so good and recommended. I ordered my smurfarita as well (hand made) this time and it is definitely better than the premade. Upcharge for your own tequila is worth it. Other than the DJ being extremely loud (due to game days which is understandable) this experience was way better than the previous one. They seem to have a few new staff members as well. All in all, I will continue to come here for lunch or dinner and see the progress of this upcoming restaurant. Especially since they are updating their drink menu and I love my margaritas.

I'd been wanting to try Taqo. When a friend and I tried to get into RUB before a concert last week and couldn't, we took the owner's advice and went to his other restaurant next door. I've been to RUB a couple of times and really enjoyed it, so I had high hopes for its sister restaurant. The atmosphere at Taqo was bright, clean and festive. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food, though, was a major disappointment. We both ordered the taco salads, which were so spicy and loaded with jalapenos that we honestly could not eat them. Our waitress noticed and offered a replacement, which she said the mildest item on the menu: soft chicken tacos. Again, they were so spicy, that we couldn't eat them either. Before you write me off as someone who only likes bland food, I frequently dine in Mexican restaurants and recently returned from a trip to Mexico without burning my throat out! As we were leaving, after commenting about the spice level of the tacos, our waitress suggested perhaps we'd have been better off staying at RUB. Even though I was slightly offended, I'd have to agree! On a positive note, the margaritas looked great,! I probably won't return to Taqo, unless it's just for drinks. I've posted a picture showing the ridiculous amount of jalapenos on my salad.

We had a great experience at Taqo with our awesome waitress, Kristi! The margaritas are fantastic and plentiful. The food is pretty good, but the best part were the chips/guacamole and the overall experience.

Loved it all but the fact that the server forgot my order, however; it was well worth the wait! The waffle fry appetizer was AH-MAY-ZING! It was like a waffle fry nacho OH! And you must get the steak on top!!! Loved it! So sad I left my leftovers at work but now Friday won't be the only reason the workday goes well!

Really was excited to try out another new restaurant in Detroit.HUGE disappointment!! LOUD!! BAD SERVICE!! Bartender was very unhappy to be working I am assuming. As he was not very prompt or very friendly. Wanted a handmade margarita NOT one from a slush machine!! He didn't seem to want to make one. Tried to select a tequila from the list to make a margarita were out of the first three I chose. Finally settled on one. When I asked how he made it he told me he put oj and pineapple juice in his margaritas. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Been a bartender for many years. Have made many delicious margaritas. NEVER put those two things. I told him how I wanted it made. AND he totally ruined it. Should have and would have taken it back but just wanted to get out of there. NEVER will we go back.

Went here twice - First time was just for a drink - wanted to try the Marguerita's. Sat at the bar - our first clue should have been when we asked the bartender about the tequilas and he really didn't seem to have a clue. The name of the place is Taqo and Tequila - get your staff trained. I guess if you are already well versed in Tequilas - you can go here as they have quite a wide selection. While there, looked over the menu and thought we'd like to come back to try the food. 2nd Time (and last) - In anticipation of the less than knowledgable staff - we did some research on Tequilas and got an idea of the kind we would like to try. First off the music is SO LOUD - seriously, most of the time we were just screaming at each other "what?". When we asked our waitress about one of the tequilas on our list - she said she would check - she came back with a bottle of hot sauce! Seriously! We tried to explain - no it's a tequila - she brought someone else over who actually seemed like he "might" know what he was talking about. He informed us that no they didn't have that one - but did give us a couple of good recommendations and also recommended a good cocktail with pineapple juice. OK - a little tic upward. Now to the food - first off, I'm with a couple of vegetarians and we will often pick Mexican restaurants as they are usually very veg friendly. In looking over there menu, there wasn't much "veg friendly" meals. My one dining companion decided to go with the fish tacos.

I have been to Taqo four times so far. Each time has been with a different group of people and everyone has loved it. The food is great and the staff is good. The owner is very friendly. One night we came in with a group of 12 people right after the kitchen closed. The hostess said we could only order drinks, but then the owner greeted me since he recognized me from earlier in the week. He personally made us 12 (delicious) burritos even though the kitchen was closed. Everyone I was with was blown away at the food and service.

we decided to try this restaurant for the first time tonight... boy was it a disappointment. The inside and decor was very nice and fitting to the restaurant. However, the food and service was terrible. Our waitress Melissa didn't know anything about the menu. There were so many fruit flies around our food and drink it was disturbing, I didn't even want to eat. we ordered a chicken dish, and ended up with a beef dish and fajaitas with no tortillas. This place is not worth your time and needless to stay I would not recommend it to anyone, nor will I EVER return.

First off our server Rene was wonderful.... I work in the service industry and unfortunately this is hard to come by nowadays! Tequila ...yes please... They have 200 types! The chef Vincent came out and checked that all with our service was impeccable.... and whaaaaat? bought us a shot, the unexpected authentic element is absolutely what Detroit needs - so yummy!!!! Get some!!!!!!!

Excellent margueritas! I had the Classic, and I was not disappointed. You can pick from three sizes too. 24 oz was the perfect amount! I was just in for drinks, but the food looked good with giant portions. Kristi was our server and we had great service. Sad to see the place so empty, but it made it easy for us to get a table for a large party. Definitely will need to come back to try all the wonderful sounding marguerita flavors!

While the food was "ok", the rest of the restaurant shows a great deal of mismanagement and neglect. The servers seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people in the restaurant (it was less than half full) and rather than check on tables to refill water or see how the food was stood by the water station and chatted. When we mentioned that we got burned chips and that a food order was incorrect the waitress stood there unsure of what to do. Everyone at the table commented that they felt Taqo was going to close down soon. There was an overall feeling of people being untrained and neglect. The bathrooms were awful and consisted of rolls of toilet paper sitting on the floor and stalls with broken locks. The margaritas were ok although definitely not worth $10. No one in our party would come again.

Okay. So after the reasoning for less tortillas, I have to increase my rating to 4. I was hoping to see a chimichanga on the menu (I could have missed it because I was starving and wanted to quickly order). I have eaten a chimichanga at every Mexican restaurant in the Detroit area.... I'm just sayin' :-)

I live in downtown Detroit and have eaten here on three occasions. It's typical Tex-Mex. Some dishes are better than others. You just have to try things and see what works for you. They have some reasonable lunch specials. I'll be going back, though I would find it hard to eat here every week.

Restaurant has a nice atmosphere but not trustworthy. I, too, along with 2 of my friends, had our identity stolen from this restaurant. My card number was placed on a pre-paid Visa card (no ID required) and used numerous times at a nearby shopping mall last night.

Went here with coworkers and after work one night and all of us had our credit card information stolen and used. When I mentioned this to friends I keep hearing other stories of other people with the same experience. Don't go here, find a restaurant that isn't full of thieves.

Awesome place. Greeted by the owner right away. Great service-- the waiter convinced me to try three different types of tacos. All very fresh and authentic. A welcome reprieve from fake Mexican that we typically get in Michigan. The prices were awesome for the fresh, high quality ingredients. Will definitely be back to try the margaritas.

Taqo did a nice interior decorating job. But the food is horrible. For anyone that has a taste for Mexican food, I would recommend staying away from this place, until they get their act together. Can't comment on the drinks, I hope they are better than the food. Simply awful.

Still waiting for lunch. 10 of us from work deicded to try Taqo for lunch. Great website, menu looks delicious, and the restaurant looked really cool. We were excited. We arrived, sat, ordered and after an hour were still waiting for our food. The waiter kept telling us it would be right out and that he was checking on it, but could never tell us when it would be out. We finally left after an hour. The manager said he was sorry, but we all have jobs that we needed to get back to. Great potential but most likely won't go back. From the reviews, looks like I'm not the only who had to wait a long time for food.

While in the downtown area conducting busines, on a Monday around lunch hour, I was waved inside by a pretty anxious server. My friends and I made our way inside to an empty restaurant. The decor is lively in a Mardi Gras Mexican style. Which I appreciate, and could easily see myself with friends enjoying tequila and margaritas. The garage door style entrance was enjoyed until a pigeon entered and began flying around our table, the staff ran around screaming at another staff member "I told you not to feed them." After that entertainment was over a nice server set a basket of hot salsa chips on our table which was enjoyed until my friend discovered a baked fly on our chips. The salsa is not fresh either. After telling our server of our discovery, she didnt apologize, she just offered another basket of the possible fly chips, Which we declined. I observed her take the basket to the maitre d or whatever the hell he was, which he responded by flagging her away with the basket of chips. They don't server traditional beef tacos at this location. Only steak, chorizo or chicken. So, In for a penny, in for a pound, I tried the steak tacos which tasted good, and were seasoned well. I felt the manager should have apologized for our experience, but all we received was the check and a feeling of regret for not going to Mexican Town.

We had an interesting experience here.. my friends and I loved the atmosphere and the vibe. Everyone was nice and made us want to come back. But they honestly need to fire the cook. We all ordered different entrees from tacos to both types of enchiladas and we were all disappointed. The margaritas were the only plus as far as the food/drinks. Mexican staples should be executed well. I should be able to get a great taco at any Mexican restaurant. Please get a new cook asap because the place offers a great experience otherwise.. but the food is key!!

Been here three times since they opened and it's been good each time. Service has been quick and friendly in my experience. The barrio tacos are very good. I'm not a huge margarita fan but thought theirs are alright, not overly sweet. Plus they have an excellent tequila selection, including several ultra premium choices. Overall it tops Loco as the best Mexican place downtown, and you'll have to go to Mexicantown to top it.

  • Olivia B.

Overall the experience wasn't bad, definitely not spectacular, but still not bad by any means. I got the house margarita on the rocks which for the price I thought was definitely worth it, but I wish they had more specialty cocktails incorporating all that tequila they have. The free chips they gave us were pretty stale and not that good, but they were free so I'm trying to not hold that against them too much. However that was the first thing we tried so immediately we were concerned the rest of the food was going to suck and it didn't give us the best impression. I got the torta with steak which I personally really liked so I was surprised by the negative reviews of it. The steak wasn't anything special but the sauce and toppings on the sandwich were awesome. I forget what my boyfriend had but it was pretty much a platter of rice, chicken, etc. He said for the price he had no complaints but he wouldn't order it again. Overall the quality and price of everything reminded me of a place like applebee's or the like. It's clearly better than Taco Bell but if you're looking for high quality Mexican food/margaritas hit up Mexicantown or a place like Mex or Imperial. I'll probably be back, but I wouldn't really care if I didn't go there again.

Waitstaff was bratty. Food was bland. Tacos were overpriced. And the menu had a lot less options than they show on their website. I won't be coming back.

    (5)
  • Zachary P.

Wait staff was very friendly and prompt. I ordered 3 tacos (the catfish, duck, and mahi) all were good but a little sweeter than expected on the catfish. Great overall, tacos seemed a little small compared to the other menu items even when I ordered 3 next to my wife's chicken Botona, but the prices were right for the quality food. House margarita was good as well.

Food was good and had a great bbq taco (I highly recommend). Great price, a little slow so don't come if you're in a hurry.

I don't even need a bunch of words to review this meal. It was hardly edible mush. Gross. Although food baked into my beer glass. And pretty sure the bartender was bartering "something" with another guest. Won't be back.

I don't find it to be better than Mexican town and the service was not something that would have me come back. I ordered basic tacos to go (ala carte is take out only). I was not thrilled and would suggest a visit to Alley Taco just a few blocks away.

BEWARE!!!

I got aroz con pollo, was great, I'd order it again. Rice had lots of flavor. Staff was very nice. Chips and salsa was good also. I wasn't expecting much going in but was overall very pleased with the meal. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Yikes.

Enjoy!

This place has it all. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food is phenomenal. If they keep this up, Taqo will be around for a long, long time. They're right across from Comerica Park too, making this a prime spot for a pre-game meal.

  • J A.

This place is a find! Great margaritas, amazingly friendly staff, and best of all good food. So close to the Tigers and Lions too. I'm a fan.

It's ok here. The food is not authentic at all, but it's Mexican style and decently priced. The chips are very thin and salty. The staff is courteous. If you like tequila they have about 100 different types.

Worst place ever to go to. Food is horrible. I seen a roach crawl across the counter top and i had my kids with me

  • Amanda C.

  • Jeannette B.

Almost everyone I went to this restaurant with had their credit card numbers stolen and had fraudulent charges at different Meijer stores around the area.

  • Danielle A.

I don't find it to be better than Mexican town and the service was not something that would have me come back. I ordered basic tacos to go (ala carte is take out only). I was not thrilled and would suggest a visit to Alley Taco just a few blocks away.

Food horrible. I got taco salad, boyfriend got tacos.. Both disappointing. Friend got monster burrito-- he liked. Not worth the 1.5 hour wait

If I could give a negative star I would. This place is officially the worst. Not only can they manage to mess up nachos, steel people's credit card info they now have opened a club above them that blasts their music so loud it shakes my apartment.

  • Angela R.

BEWARE!!!

I got aroz con pollo, was great, I'd order it again. Rice had lots of flavor. Staff was very nice. Chips and salsa was good also. I wasn't expecting much going in but was overall very pleased with the meal. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Yikes.

Enjoy!

This place has it all. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food is phenomenal. If they keep this up, Taqo will be around for a long, long time. They're right across from Comerica Park too, making this a prime spot for a pre-game meal.

It's ok here. The food is not authentic at all, but it's Mexican style and decently priced. The chips are very thin and salty. The staff is courteous. If you like tequila they have about 100 different types.

we decided to try this restaurant for the first time tonight... boy was it a disappointment.

  • Dan N.

I'll probably be back, but I wouldn't really care if I didn't go there again.

if you like mexican avoid at all costs you think with the tequila list they would have excellent margaritas but Nope guacamole was tastless just truly pissing money down the drain taco bell is better

    (3)
  • Aly S.

    (5)
  • Nicki C.

    (1)
  • Brooke J.

  • Rola S.

    (2)
  • Kelsey G.

Waitstaff was bratty. Food was bland. Tacos were overpriced. And the menu had a lot less options than they show on their website. I won't be coming back.

  • Kelso H.

    (1)
  • Zachary P.

Wait staff was very friendly and prompt. I ordered 3 tacos (the catfish, duck, and mahi) all were good but a little sweeter than expected on the catfish. Great overall, tacos seemed a little small compared to the other menu items even when I ordered 3 next to my wife's chicken Botona, but the prices were right for the quality food. House margarita was good as well.

    (5)
  • Bethany J.

Food was good and had a great bbq taco (I highly recommend). Great price, a little slow so don't come if you're in a hurry.

Deliciously flavorful food with generous portions. My husband had the taco salad. He was not as impressed as I was with the steak fajita. Not a guacamole lover but this was amazing.

Took over an hour to get our food, made us late for the Tigers game. Never going back.

  • Kelly B.

I don't even need a bunch of words to review this meal. It was hardly edible mush. Gross. Although food baked into my beer glass. And pretty sure the bartender was bartering "something" with another guest. Won't be back.

  • Fingers On B.
