I don't know why I came back. I walk in around lunch time and they were busy, but not overly busy. There was still plenty of seats available. I'm seated right away, and there I sat. After 5 minutes, the hostess that sat me asks if I want a water and apologizes for "double seating" me, whatever that is suppose to mean. 11 minutes later (16 minutes since I was seated) my order is taken. Overall I was there almost an hour. I love the "fast break" headline on the lunch menu. Nothing has changed here, slowest buffalo wild wings I've been to. I'm done, I'll just go to one of the mom and pop style restaurants in the area. Fast and cheaper.

I'll always call Buffalo Wild Wings "BW3", which derives from their original moniker, "Buffalo Wings & Weck" or I'll call it Bdubbs. Either way, this location is no different from all the others. I like them, though, so that's a good thing. It's "coooool" to have one Downtown Detroit and I'm SO glad the hype has come down to a normal level because it was NOT easy getting in when it first opened. Parking can be an issue, but as with any establishment that doesn't have a parking lot or garage, you make the most of it and do what you can do. This location does have several floors, so okay that's different and nice. I've been to this location a few times and have had good service each time. No complaints there.

OK It's a BWW, BDubs, Buffalo Wild Wings....It's the biggest one in Michigan. Read the reviews and decide what is important to you. Yah the parking sucks although I was able to park right across the street (Keep in mind this is in the middle of the city, parking isn't really in their control), after 7 PM no one under 21 allowed, (not totally true my 6&4 yr old were allowed, I can see it. Downtown Detroit I'm guessing they had problems before), The food is basic BWW, kids loved it. Was the Beer cold? Check Could you see the game from every seat in the house? Check Was it a loud and lively environment? Check Was the food unhealthy, fried and super yummy comfort food? Check Did the waitress take our order, bring our food and was reasonably attentive? Check Sounds like the BWW experience... 3 stars....if my Boneless wings were a little better I'd give them 4 stars. Been here twice and both times it didn't impress but it also didn't disappoint. For a downtown Detroit BWW it gets 2 thumbs up. FYI Both my girls gave it 5 stars as every BWW gets 5 stars from them, "the best mac and cheese ever" When both my kids eat all of their food it's saying something.

I went to this Buffalo Wild Wings location this past Saturday and I've never experienced such horrible service. I was happily greeted at the door however, when sitting at the bar we couldn't even get the server to look at us like she had some sense. It took the bartender/server about 15 minutes to acknowledge us, 15 - 20 minutes to get our draft beers, 30+ minutes to receive 12 wings and never once asked how the food was or if we needed anything else. Meanwhile, she made sure to ask the guy next to us was taken care of. I overall didn't appreciate the service from her and didn't catch her name because she didn't have a name tag on and didn't introduce herself. She was short, white with curly hair dark brown hair. I hope no one has to experience horrible like this.

B Dub's is not really my thing...you guys know I like to keep it local. But...I'm a Murican too, and who doesn't love Wing Tuesdays? Apparently the Greektown location doesn't love it too much because the special ends at 4pm. 4pm, really? You couldn't even give the after-work crowd 50 cent wings? That's SO LAME. There really is no reason for me to return. I also worry about this location because of its size. It's huge. 3 floors to be exact. How long can this place go empty? The servers are always very nice, and there are 5 million screens to watch, but if you're looking for Wing Tuesdays after 4, head to one of the suburban locations.

The food and beer has always been good when I've been here. The service is a hit or miss, but if you want a place before the game to get a tall glass of Soft Parade or Bell's, then this is a good place to go if Rub Pub, or DBC is too busy.

  • Erik M.

I hate this place, in general. These mega-corporation sports bars gross me out, and end up not even really being a good place to watch the game, because you are bombarded with television screens on all sides. I can't pay attention to anything, and end up being slightly more ADHD. Forget having a real conversation here - Give me a dive bar any day. (don't get me into the lack of craft beers). I do love the wings, and they are the reason I continue to go. I would not go on any day other than Tuesday or Thursday, when their wings are cheaper, because paying 13 bucks for ten wings is too much. They're good, but they're not THAT good. BWW has been relegated to a place I can go to pick up wings on two days out of the week for lunch. Nothing more, nothing less.

3.5 stars. I was torn between 3 and 4, so i went with 3.5! Date and I came here after a long day at the Detroit Science Center. We were starving and had his kids in tow, so we wanted someplace that was sort of kid friendly. We had a good time here, and I think I like it better then other locations I've been to, but it's still Bw3's. This place was busier then I had anticipated. Downtown Detroit's really changed, and having a chain restaurant here helps bring the city back. I commend Bw3's for investing in downtown, and contributing to taking up empty space and making it fun instead of scary to come down here. When we entered, it was busy for 3 PM on a Sunday. People were at the bar, drinking and watching the game. A large party was seated for what seemed like a teenagers birthday. Other parties (like us) were scattered through the rest of the place. Good to see that people are coming down here again. I went with the build your own burger, and the kids got kid meals. I couldn't remember what the date got, but we all seemed to enjoy our food. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything went smoothly. Server also let us know that it was happy hour, but since i had a drive home, I decided not to have a beer. The burger was okay, nothing spectacular. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, and good times were had. On another note, parking here stinks!

At least you know what you're getting food wise. The problem here is the service. The waitress acted annoyed that we were there. No greeting, took 15 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink and the place was practically empty. Food came out cold and never even had the waters refilled. Pathetic.

Another one of the Buffalo Wild Wings locations that puts whatever amount of wings in their orders that they please. I ordered a medium. Used to be their 18 size. Got 14 pretty small wings. Paid 16.99 at this location. Garbage. Get some consistency, BWW. Please. Oh...and it's typically considered good customer service when you actually respond to constructive criticism. No response after waiting one month? 1-star Yelp review for you. Boom!

BWW is this phenomenon that I can't understand. It is a chain restaurant that does not have great wings (they are "ok" but not amazing). I could be biased tho because I grew up in Windsor Ontario Canada and we have some fantastic local wing pubs. I don't particularly enjoy this place for food, it is just "meh ok" to me. I've only been to this chain if coworkers or friends really wanted to go here and over-ruled my vote. It all comes down to what you are used to tho. Some people swear by BWW, I do not.

Great service! We had a party of 16 and they split the bill up per person which every single place we usually go to has a huge problem with. Food was correct and timely as well.

I always loved Bdubs been going to the suburb ones for long time but this one in particular (downtown Detroit) is the worst customer service I ever experienced... Tried it few times... They will not take order over the phone, online didn't work few minutes before they open... It's very inconvenient for people who works In the area to get a quick carry out. Also young kids working there have no knowledge of restaurant etiquette..... Good food but with poor customer service I will never go this place

For a Buffalo Wild Wings I did not see anything wrong. My group had sat in the bar area and were served with water and drinks right away. It was after a lions game but you wouldn't have even notice with the quick service and food. I have nothing bad to say and would defiantly recommend this BDubs to anyone! Also can't wait to see the second and third floors!!

Being from downriver, I'm no stranger to b dubs. So you can imagine my excitement when I got carry out from the downtown location this afternoon. Lets start from the beginning. I ordered me wings on-line, which I normally do not do due to my fear of credit hackers. My credit card numbers were once stolen and the criminals bought subscriptions to pornography on my dime. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time. If it does you can safely assume that the employees of Buffalo Wild Wings enjoy their pornography. With it being Thursday, I was a smart shopper and got the boneless wings. I like boneless wings better than "traditional" wings because I am a sophisticated city man and I dont like to rip my meat off a bone. I'll let a factory do that, thank you. I know what you're thinkin, Ryan, throw me a bone here and get down to the meat of the Yelp review! Well, Alrighty then (Jim Carrey)...I had two flavors: Thai Curry and Caribbean Jerk. If you find yourself choosing between the two, say see ya later jerk and hi to Thai. The Thai flavor was better. To the owner of the silver Malibu if you are reading this: I hope you were able to retrieve your car in time and it wasn't towed. God Bless

They refused to take an order over the phone, said to use their app. Downloaded the app and you can't choose sauces for your wings.

  • Brittiany R.

I'm writing an update to this review because my last 2 experiences at this venue have really urged me to prevent anyone from going here until they shape up. If you love your 8 boneless wings with 2 sauces like most of us do, DO NOT COME HERE. For some God forsaken reason they will not allow you to choose 2 sauces if you only order 8 boneless wings. Also, after 9pm on ANY day (weekdays included) you cannot enter the venue unless you are 21 and up or with a legal parent. I saw the manager kick out an entire family of people with 2 young ladies in graduation caps because some of their family members did not have a legal parent with them. It was a family group celebrating a great accomplishment and the dude kicked them out in the POURING rain. They are a restaurant first and foremost so I am not sure why they feel the need to run this place like a VIP club in Las Vegas. They aren't sprinkling gold and diamonds on your wings so if you really have a hankering for Bdubs, go to a different location. THIS ONE SUCKS!!! And it is so unfortunate because I truly love Bdubs.

I had never been to a BWW and won't be back anytime soon. This downtown Detroit version had horrible food, rude service and the most unfriendly bartender I have ever ordered a drink from. There were six of us (3 couples) sitting at the bar for nearly three hours and not once did she ask us if we needed a drink or if everything was ok. And when we did want a drink it took time to get her attention while she texted on the phone and otherwise ignored the customers. And when we complained to management they just ignored us. A complete joke of a restaurant.

Beautiful interior, they took an old building and b-dubs'ed it. Lots of TV's! Full great bdubs menu. I'm glad that bigger companies are recognizing Detroit is a market!

Both times have gone here before tiger game good service and prompt. Surprised how good service was for being downtown. This is just like the other Buffalo Wild Wings but to a much larger scale. Lots an lots if TV's so would be great place to watch a game. Good wing specials on Tuesday and Thursday with boneless and bone in wings those days. Daily drink specials to enjoy.

Was in town staying across the street at the Hilton and went to BWW on a Saturday night. There was a Tigers game and a UFC showing, so the place was packed. First, and most importantly, I have never been to a sports bar with the amount/quality/positioning of TVs. What an awesome place to watch a game. I ordered wings and they came out extremely fast (like 5 minutes). They were hot with excellent wing sauce. I was extremely impressed. I came back the next night and had the same fast service and quality wings. My gf got some appetizers and they were fast, also. I had very low expectations walking into the Detroit BWW, since the ones here in Virginia are terrible (wings taste differently depending on the restaurant and are often soggy). The Detroit BWW, however, is by far the best one I have been to.

This downtown Detroit location has the potential to be a great one.......large facility, multi-level, balcony. And yet, it seems to under achieve with each visit. After 6 visits in 2 years, I have 2 positive and 4 not so good. I don't understand why they often close the upper level on days of weekend Tiger games. The upper level is far better than the lower level in my opinion with a balcony and open air setting. When it's open, there is usually little or no wait for seating. Today we arrived an hour after the end of a 1pm Tiger game to find a long wait for a table. Of course the upper level was closed. We headed straight for the bar, passing many open tables. We found 2 seats at the bar and were never even acknowledged by the bar staff. After 10 minutes we left to have dinner elsewhere.

  • Kristina N.

This has to be the worst Buffalo Wild Wings from all their corporate and franchise locations. Everything took forever and it appeared their staff was overwhelmed when they 1st opened so we chalked that up to being new and extremely busy. Over a year later things are just as bad. You can't get in and out during lunch in a decent time, which is a shame because it's such a busy area with SO many people working downtown. Heaven forbid you try to place a carry out order over the phone, that is way too complicated...you must place it online or go in. Compared to other b dubs, this location needs help.

  • Travis J.

No reason to rate the food. I have never been a big fan on BWW food but some love it. So taking food out of the equation this review is dedicated to everything else. Start with the good. Atmosphere. Its typical BWW, clean, bright, lots of tv's. While the game is going on you can still somehow manage to have a conversation probably about the game. So all good. Now the bad. Service is just bad. Not much else to say. I have been a dozen times and have never had good service. And it doesnt really seem to matter when you are there. Busy or empty figure long wait if not forgotten items and a general sense they don't care.

    (2)
  • Brianne S.

I don't have much to rate this on since the two ignorant men working the front door would not even let us in. After the Tiger's Season Opener a group of us went to grab some dinner before heading home. Before we could even make it in the door we were told that we would not be served and to "get out". I asked their reasoning and was told that we knew why and that we needed to get out now. NO one in my group knew what this was regarding or had been to this establishment before. Regardless if it was Opening Day or not, everyone sporting Tiger's apparel should not have been assumed to be drunk. By no means was I or anyone else in my group "wasted" or acting out of line. This was absolutely absurd. This specific location will prevent me from ever going into a Buffalo Wild Wings again.

Nothing special, it is a chain, you kind of get the same thing across the board, but food was good and fresh and atmosphere was nice... Place feels pretty new. Great location in Greektown and pleasant waitstaff. Quick service and open air feel to the main room.

I've loved me some Buffalo Wild Wings since my college days. And I'm psyched to have one here in the city! The largest one in the nation, even? Cool! I will briefly reiterate the same things I have posted for my reviews of any other area location - a Bdubs, is a Bdubs, is a Bdubs. Love the beer specials, the tasty wings, and the electronic trivia. At Bdubs, you always know what you'll be getting, and you'll never be let down. In my few visits to this location, the service has been above and beyond, from the doormen to the servers to the bartenders. The biggest gripe? Parking. That's the only thing that will probably stop me from coming here much more often. Greentown can be great for hopping around, but the downtown popularity has made parking more trouble than it's worth just to stop into one place. It's a little far from the structure, but sometimes I'm lucky and catch a street spot. Either way, this Buffalo Wild Wings is a very welcome addition to downtown, and I think they're going to do huge business here for many years to come!

I'd never been to BWW so i decided to go because they had .60 boneless wings. The savory wings are far to salty and the honey bbq one weren't as good as KFC's, but the fries were good. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful. I would go back just not for the boneless wings.

    (2)
  • Chad A.

Been here several times for lunch. I love their wings so i keep going back. The service is consistently bad at this bw3 for some reason. Their prices have gotten out of control. Every time we go back they have gone up.

Would like to say I could review on the food but unfortunately I can not. Called this place at 12 and they said they served food for 45 more minutes, so arrived at 12:20 looking forward to it. To our surprise the door was locked at 12:22 when we got to the door which has posted open "until 1 am" on this Thursday. After driving down here clearly this was quite frustrating so I called and spoke to a manager who had said "Yea, we do last call half hour before close for kitchen and drinks and have everyone out by 1". I asked since it was 40 minutes before 1 why the door was locked and he said "well we did last call". Way to set a great standard for Detroit Buffalo Wild Wings and thanks for wasting our time.

I mean... It's Buffalo Wild Wings so we already know the food isn't the best.... The least that could be done to make that better would be have great service.... Welllllll you won't find that here. The service was subpar at best.

Slow food. Drinks not full and filled with ice. Mouthy manager. Other local options are recommended unless you need mediocre food.

Upon entering on a week night evening (4 adults in our late 40 s, 5 teens in our party) we were asked to provide I.d. to enter- enter the restaurant! Not very welcoming. We came for food and we were asked to show I.d. just to enter the dining room! When some of the adults ordered beers we waited 10 minutes and then the waitress brought the entire table water. We asked AGAIN for the beer and the waitress just looked confused. We eventually received our beer but we sat for almost 15 minutes before that happened, the place only had a few other patrons, not even close to half full. The service got worse from there, she was clueless, had no idea what to do. She screwed herself out of what would have been a large tab from a group that normally tips generously. We left after 1 drink an an appetizer and we're insulted by the fact that an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our charge cards- is that legal? No stars, would never return. We were treated poorly as if we were not welcome. We eat and spend in downtown Detroit often this was a joke.

  • Mickie W.

I'm not a fan of chains. This place was pretty big and really loud. Our service was good. The waitress came to our table immediately and we had our food and drinks quickly. Everything on the menu is fried, covered in sauce, or really heavy. I'm trying not to be too negative because it's just not my cup of tea. If you are looking for good bar food and want a steady menu then this is your place. Good french fries, cold beer.

Although it serves the exact same fare as every other BWW, the location in Greektown is worth a visit to experience the lovely exposed brick interior and cool sports murals. I've heard that it's the biggest BWW in existence. With three stories and a huge footprint, I believe it.

This location hired all new staff. Had a rushed opening thus training period. The city gave this store all sorts of run-around and still is. This store provides jobs for individuals from the city ranging in ages as young as 17. Instead crying about your wings being more "butter-y" then you remember consider all the positive first. They're still working out bugs, that much is obvious. They'll get there. Things such as parking are out of there control BTW. Your negative review likely influences very little in regards to business. Moreover, your probably causing yourself more stress than is necessary. RELAX. This store will be just as great as all the others sooner than you know it and will be providing something great to the city.

Great service, the manager walks around and helps and the food was solid. Overall though - ALL B-Dubs' need to run better promos since you can't get out of there filled up on grub for under $15.

The Good: The wings are always good here. The staff was very friendly. I really like that this is now a lunch option in downtown Detroit. Try adding to your fries whole your here. Great place for a large group. Food is served within a reasonable amount of time for the lunch crowd. The Bad: Loud! Stead clear of here on a Friday or sat night when there are no games... Hood Rat central. (Sorry)

There are so many tv's! It was awesome watching the football games with t.v.'s all around you. The food is like any other BWW so you know what to expect. The crowd was cool and the waiter was very nice. The only issue I had was with them not opening the upper floors when several people were waiting. It looked like the wait was about an hour long but they never even opened the upper floors. People were turning around and leaving which seems like BWW is doing themselves a dis-service by not capitalizing on their investment! Just a thought. They also have an elevator to take you up to the upper levels but the first level bar did not have any low seats for wheelchairs, not sure about the upper level bar.

It's a BWW. It's exactly what it should be. Beer, chicken, and sports. Bar staff is always on point. Wings are good and I was even surprised the salad tasted fresh. Living and working downtown means I'm very ok with making this place a regular part of my week.

Horrible... I would generally give most B-Dubs locations (Warren, Mt. Clem, Fraser, Ferndale) a 3 star rating for good service and atmosphere. You know what you're getting when you go there, generally. This one is God awful. Other commenters are correct when they say that they won't let people in after 9pm unless they're over 21, which I can't understand why. What else? Where to begin... I went there for a charity event (on a Wed., FWIW), but it was not packed. There were a solid 5-6 tables open in the dining room, and absolutely no wait for seating. It took forever to get our drink order, the person bringing the drinks was different than the person we ordered them from, and apparently we couldn't order more drinks (or anything else for that matter) from the person that brought the drinks. It's somewhat normal to have someone expedite tables, and it's generally not an issue that you can't order from the person doing the expediting. What was an issue was our waiter, Derek, was horrible, as were most of the other servers in the joint. Derek came much, much later to take the drink order of the two late arrivals to the table, then disappeared again for a tremendously long time, so long in fact that the manager that was sweating profusely (and smelled... like when you leave laundry in the washing machine too long smell), obviously overly stressed-out and unable to handle his position, brought over an order of complimentary chips and salsa. Nice gesture, right? Would have been... Someone ladled the wrong red stuff into what was supposed to be the salsa bowl, and they gave us chips and marinara sauce. Now, I know what you're thinking, it was probably just really watered down, or extra tomatoy salsa. That's what I thought too when the first person tried it, and said "that's weird, it's marinara sauce"... Nope... The sh#t was straight spaghetti sauce, served HOT! I couldn't believe it. Hot spaghetti sauce and tortilla chips. Edible, but not good... Worse than that was the spinach and artichoke dip was awful, served with the wrong chips (supposed to be pita chips per the menu), and when I pointed out the two errors the waiter just said "Oh wow, that's really bad," claimed that they were "super busy" (they weren't) and didn't do anything about it, just walked away. I was floored. The flat bread pizzas (the buffalo chicken pizza and the chicken parm) weren't very good, the way they do their wing pricing at this location is crazy (I don't know if they all changed, but you have to order in upsizes of 5 (5, 10, 15), but you can't order 5-10-15, you have to order in multiples of 2 and somehow 10 doesn't count (8 or 12, maybe it's multiples of 4). It could be that I'm just a B-Dub noob (I only go on Tuesdays or Thursdays when they're priced individually), but ordering over-processed, over-battered fried chicken shouldn't be that difficult, even if they do have a ton of sauces. Oh, on top of all of that... Don't park in the street out front. There aren't any "No Parking" signs, but you'll get a ticket - a $20 F.U. to end the night, if you pay it on time... Awesome...

Another great dinner! I usually request my fav waiter Thomas but he was not working tonight and we got the delight of meeting a new server named Gage! He made our visit to this location like we were dining at a 5 star, fine dining restaurant ! So helpful, friendly & cheerful. It's so uplifting have a server like this who actually talks to you and isn't in a rush to grab your order and run off ! He deserves a raise! Besides that our food was great we ordered garlic parmesan, medium buffalo and honey BBQ and the jalapeño poppers.. Everything was great!

I like the wings every now and then when I'm feeling fat and sassy, but I suggest carry out because the service here is bad. And even getting carry out I've had bad service. I just don't understand how they decide who gets hired here. "Do you have an "I don't care" attitude and no experience?" "Duh" "Ook you're in!" I went to get carry out and there were 4 workers standing around talking and finally one asks if they can help me. Then the girl who is helping me check out was chewing on a pen which she then handed me to sign my receipt with, which is totally gross regardless of the fact that this is taking place in a restaurant where my food is handled. A couple of my friends have had multiple instances of bad service as well, which include messed up orders, a dumbfounded waitress when asked if dressing for a salad could be on the side (like, all of the dressing?), missing food from carry out orders, and just genereal blank looks and bad attitudes. Wings=good, service=awful.

The experience was as expected, however when it came time to pay things took a turn for the worst. I had two beers and 10 wings, this apparently came out to $140. After arguing with the manager Paul I gave in to paying $41 (which still seems incredibly high for the little I had). Then I check my credit card summary the next day, they went ahead and ran my card again without approval for the full $140. This buffalo wild wings is not a place worth spending your money. I will be filing a major complaint with corporate, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

I understand its new but the place is not ready to be opened. First the place had a 2 hour wait which is understandable since its new but there was only 1 1/2 stories open out of the four. Staff didnt know any food items and drinks. She would have to go back to the bar tender and ask each time which took up half hour just to ask and get a reply. 45 minute wait between drink orders. Our food came out medium to cold 1 hour after we ordered it. My thing is look I understand that its only been 2 weeks but train your staff correctly and run a tight ship prior to opening.

Not dissimilar from any other BDubs, which is good for downtown Detroit. Sat in a large group for a sporting event and didn't expect top priority service, but orders were dropped and even with a busy place, felt forgotten. The food is OK, but a local bar with an aggressive fry cook could improve on their menu. Lots of TVs, fun environment, but few specials made for a lack of bang for the buck. Not sure I'd return, especially with better BBQ and bar options only blocks away.

So this place just opened late December and it is more than obvious that they are still trying to figure things out in May. When I first came here in December the table next to me had a piece of the ceiling fall unto their table (it was not anything that would had harmed them, but it was a nice chunk of material that fell from the ceiling, ha). Additionally, the service staff is quite slow and some lack knowledge of the menu. I asked them what they had on draft and the girl was unable to list all of the beers that they had, nor had she written them down. The would rate the food as just okay at this B-dubs because by the time I received the food it was somewhat cold - who likes cold fried food? The one cool part of the evening is when the manager DID realize that many tables around me were dissatisfied with the service and he comped all of the food for my table (that was nice, yet... somewhat expected). Additionally, the building in itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is great for watching games with your friends in many of the big screen TVs.

So me and a group of friends decided to head to the BWW in Greektown to watch the Red Wings playoff game 7 against the Ducks. It wasn't too packed because it was a Sunday, and gametime was at 10pm. Service was good, food was also good. But they had the nerve to kick EVERYONE out, when the Wings game was still in the 3rd (GAME 7, PLAYOFFS FYI)! We couldn't believe it! We were in Detroit, repping the hometown and they kicked their own fans out with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd with a close game on hand.. on top of that, we informed our waitress at the start of the game if we could watch the whole game, and she insisted we could. Hypocrites! Most of the staff had NO idea the importance of the game. If they are willing to kick their own fans out in a such a crucial game, you can get an idea of what philosophy is behind the management of this location.. they don't care about you just as long you spend money. If your going to catch a late game, def go somewhere else.

Ok, this could really work well but the wait staff needs to get its act together. The first time I chalked up the bad experience to it being newly opened. And the 2nd time, and the 3rd time. But this place has been open for almost two months now and last night I went for the fourth time and big surprise, nothing's changed. Here are a few highlights of my experiences here: A waiter who doesn't know what beers they have on tap, once seated a 45min-1hr wait for food (one time caused by the waitress "waiting" aka forgetting to put in our order), appetizer brought out with food even though we asked for it first, wait staff that doesn't check on you or offer refills, six different people who each get you random things but none of whom are actually your server, sitting and staring at your food while it takes 5 minutes to get silverware, a manager getting short with our group when we asked for the celery they forgot to bring with our wings, and the cherry on top...when our group asked to cancel our order after waiting over an hour for food, the server replied "SURE!" with a smile on her face and bounced off. No apology, no explanation. I live a few blocks from this place. I like BWW. It's awesome that Detroit is home to the nation's largest. But the way it's run right now is a joke. Have any of the servers worked at a BWW before? Do any of them have any serving experience in general? I get it, it's new but that excuse is getting old. Please find a way to fix it. It's not just about making money and slinging wings, you know.

I love chicken wings, but everything about this Buffalo Wild Wings is a joke. It's so bad that, even though I live 3 mins away from Greektown, I'd rather drive out to BWW in Troy. Things that are bad about this place (in chronological order): 1. Parking. It is non-existent and a total pain in the butt during game days. 2. The hostesses have no clue. Seriously. We arrived ~6:30pm and were told of a 55 minute wait. When did we get seated? Over 2 hours later, ~8:40pm. What. A. Joke. This is after we spoke to the hostess multiple times. When our party of 12 placed our names on the list or whatever, we were not informed that, due to some fire marshall regulation, we'd be split up into tables of 6. I don't friggin know about you, but it's seriously annoying to have MULTIPLE tables of less than 6 be seated, and then be told 2 hours later that oh btw, we know you waited, but we can't seat you in 1 table. Learn to communicate effectively. Not sure if this is an issue between management/hostesses or hostesses/guests, but the lack of communication is annoying. If it wasn't for a friend's birthday, we would have already left by then. 3. Our waitress. I try my hardest to be really patient and understanding of people who are new to their jobs (I was informed that this location hired all brand new employees), but either train your employees or hire people with common sense. A few of the many displeasant aspects of our meal: we were seated at 8:40pm but did not have our orders taken until 10pm; our waitress did not provide any utensils or napkins other than the cocktail napkins they give you at the bar; she mixed up our orders and forgot some of our food in the kitchen; we had to ask MULTIPLE people MULTIPLE times to bring out water/our waitress/our food/etc. This service is seriously unacceptable. Maybe your waitresses are new, maybe you're understaffed, but I've never received such poor service. Ever. 4. Another gripe about our waitress. I brought a cake for our friend and asked her if they could store it in the kitchen for us. I had to ask her 2x and the manager once before the cake went to the kitchen. It does not take 80 mins (8:40pm to 10pm) for you to remove a cake from my table and put it in the kitchen. Then, when we were ready to have the cake brought out, I asked the waitress to bring it out. We had to ask her 2x, and I actually physically stood up, went to find her, and asked her myself a 3rd time. No action. We asked another waiter. Finally, someone comes out with my cake in its f-ing box and bag. Sorry, was I not clear when I asked you to bring the birthday cake out for the birthday boy? Oh, and she excused the untimely delivery of the cake by letting me know their computers were down for 15 mins. I understand, but bringing out a cake for us to enjoy and punching in our tab are 2 completely different things. 5. The food. Something about it is off...not sure what it is, but my chipotle bbq wings were more butter-y and cheese-y than normal. Bottom line: save yourself some frustration and drive out to the bdubs in Troy. I spent over 5 hours in this bdubs dealing with subpar food and customer service that lacked in every way possible. I'd love for bdubs to succeed in Detroit, but they seriously need to step up their game.

This is based on a carry-out order. Ordered 48 wings boneless and regular with every flavor on their menu. All were hot top notch except for the salt and vinegar which seemed to need more seasoning. The order was taken over the phone by a pleasant person who I met when i picked my order up. A nice thing was they opened each container to ensure the accuracy. The only drawback being downtown is a pull up call ahead curb service would help as there is no parking on the street to get a carry-out.

DEBIT CARD STOLEN BY WAITER!!!!! I would actually leave 0 stars if I could. I am an avid Buffalo Wild Wings fan, and I have been to many over the years, so I was very excited when this one opened up near my work downtown. Had been there a handful of times, my experiences were ok, service was fine, food was good, but very busy, so service times were bad which is to be expected during lunch hour. What caused me to never go back to that location was that when I was trying to get out of there in a rush (only have an hour for lunch and was running behind due to service) I accidentally left my debit card on the table. Long story short it was my waiter that picked up my card and decided he would like to use it to go shopping. I called the store to notify them, and was basically blown off. I then filed a police report, and there is now a warrant out for his arrest, he was caught on various surveillance footage. I hope that he no longer works there, but when I notified the company about the situation I received a generic letter apologizing. I would suggest not visiting this location!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visit #2 and this place has not improved much. Service was friendly and we got a table fast, which should be expected since we arrived at about 11:30. It took foreeeeeeeeever to get our food, turning what could have been a quick lunch into a 1.5 hour odeal. Thankfully there are ample TVs and trivia to keep you occupied but the rumbling of your tummy takes over after too long. For the love of god, get your act together!

2 of us were there over Memorial Day weekend before a Tiger's game- we sat at the bar and it was full, but nothing crazy. Our food (sliders, wings & app combo plate) were served cold- we didn't have time to ask for new (warm) food because we wanted to make it to the game on time. Bartenders were not attentive either as it took a long time to get drink orders and also get our check. Pretty disappointing- at least we checked out the "new" bdubs, but would not return.

I've come down to this location to eat a few times and had a great experience. The servers have been fantastic and very attentive. The food sometimes takes a bit, however, it also depends on the time you come in. They have a fantastic beer selection, too! I would definitely come back.

About once a month I have a junk food meal and this time around I'd remembered that Buffalo Wild Wings was now open downtown. So I went. This was a mistake. I wanted to take my order to go, so I was pointed to the cashier who dealt with that. Before I was able to order, I had to give her my first and last name and my phone number. What is this, Radio Shack? I've never been asked to give this kind of information before when ordering food. Furthermore, I doubt the people eating in were asked for the same thing. Can you imagine your waitress writing down all your personal information before taking your food order? I should've left right then and there but nooooooo, I had to have my little cheat meal, didn't I? What a mistake. I ordered wings, celery and buffalo chips. When I arrived at home(5 mins away in Corktown), I realized the celery was nowhere to be found! Then the buffalo chips were cold and some were even firm as if they weren't fully cooked! And the wings. Holy mother of god the wings. You know how they're supposed to be cripsy on the outside? These were not. It was like eating a layer of fat just to get to the meat. It was pretty bad. I phoned the restaurant and spoke with the manager, who immediately gave me a $25 food credit. I returned the following evening to experience my food credit. To experience a satisfying (but completely unhealthy) meal, to EXPERIENCE REAL buffalo wings. When I arrived at the counter, the woman working the register asks, "who are you?" in response to me mentioning redemption of a food credit. After a couple of minutes of back and forth, the manager sorted it out. This time I got boneless wings. Hard to mess up, right? Wrong. Listen, this place is bad. Do not waste your money there. The service is terrible and the food is pretty much unmentionable.

This was our first time eating at this particular B-Dubs, needless to say we weren't super impressed. The location is great, and with it being the biggest B-Dubs in the country, it's neat to be at. There are lots of seating options, they let you pick. The food is so-so, we got nachos for an appetizer which consisted of about 70 percent lettuce, 20 percent cheese, and 10 percent chips, not good, and we also got wings as our main meal. I'll continue to go because this is the only place you can get cheap boneless wings and watch the game. It was the service we had the problem with, however. We were never checked on to see if we needed anything/how our food was, our drinks were empty most of the time, and the times that someone did come and refill our drinks or bring our food out to us, it wasn't even our waiter. We had to flag him down (we finally got his attention after several minutes) just to ask for our bill, then it still took about 10 minutes for us to actually get it. I think the problem was under-staffing, which if that's the case, management needs to be looked at, but either way, it was very bad service.

I've had 4 or 5 good experiences here with maybe one where the waitress was a bit clueless. Mostly, though, the food is great, the service was prompt and friendly (especially upstairs with Kirsten), and the atmosphere is amazing! I still choose my local hot spots over the chain place, but it's been a great success in terms of the crowds and attracting people downtown.

For this being advertised as the biggest and best BWW's in the country, I was highly disappointed. On Christmas Eve some coworkers and I went there for lunch thinking it would be a quick, solid experience as BWW's usually is. Wow, was I wrong. There were 5 of us in our group, all of which ordered food and drinks. I ordered a crispy chicken wrap (one of their standard menu items). All of our group members received their orders at different times, and I personally waited for over 2 hours to get my food, and never ended up receiving it! 2 HOURS, that's ridiculous. Me, being the nice person that I am, did not take it out on the manager because it was the holiday's. Overall, the service was horrible, the wait time was horrendous, and their lack of urgency and organization is what really surprised me. You think opening a BWW's that big they would have been prepared for large crowd's and orders. I work across the street from this location, and I have to say originally I planned on attending lunch there pretty often.....You can forget that! Best of luck to you and yours when attending this BWW's location!!

I tried again. This time to watch a hockey game. Food was the same. No issues. The waitstaff is still trying but they seem totally confused. Where is management? Where is the training? I don't think I will be returning until management figures out how to run a downtown business. Way too many delays in getting food and no control of the customers. A few seem to have figured out how to "play" the staff into free food or drinks.

Pros: The food at this location is the same quality you'd expect to find at every other bdubs in the country. The location is spectacular! I went there on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait for a table. Everyone working was very nice and I liked that there was on site security. Cons: There is a bit of a disconnect at this place. The wait staff seems to be a bit off. Food was brought out slow and no one offered refills. You can tell some of these people are new, but it needs some help. Management was attentive and came up and asked us about our meal. Overall good experience and would go back.

Went to this BWW after the TB v. DET game at Ford Field. Place was a zoo, but we lucked into a table in the bar area almost immediately. Jammed packed but great, quick service. Stick to the place's namesake here and order the wings. A number of the choices (Asian Zing & Garlic Parmesan) are pretty awesome. Will definitely go back.

I love that B-dubs is here! It's a symbol of what's happening in Detroit and everyone needs to know what Detroit will be again, someday. With that said, please get your waitstaff familiar with their menus! I'm not sure if this location had a chance for a soft opening, but I believe all of their kinks will get worked out. We live close and will give them another try for sure! Thank you for bringing business to the City of Detroit!

    (5)
  • Carolyn E.

  • Lylian D.

The food and beer has always been good when I've been here. The service is a hit or miss, but if you want a place before the game to get a tall glass of Soft Parade or Bell's, then this is a good place to go if Rub Pub, or DBC is too busy.

    (3)
  • Jon G.

    (1)

    (3)
  • Joe V.

Boom!

  • Nikki C.

Been here several times for lunch. I love their wings so i keep going back. The service is consistently bad at this bw3 for some reason. Their prices have gotten out of control. Every time we go back they have gone up.

Have you ever dreamed of eating chicken at ABC Warehouse? If so, this is the place for you. Ive never encountered so many tvs at once. I felt like I was part of the air force one control center. PS, there are no buffalo here.
