The place looks like a bit of a hole in the wall but you know what they say about those places...sometimes they are hidden treasures! I have never ordered anything here that was not good...the prime rib on Saturdays and fish and chips are great! The only downfall of place I can think of are the salads and the bread. But never had bad service or experience :)

The food is pretty good and the portions are plenty. The décor needs some work as it reminds me of a 1980's finished basement. The wait staff was friendly as well. We will be coming back for a casual bite to eat.

Simple menu and daily specials on the cheaper side. Really needs an investments in ambience and training. Service is worse than a Coney Island which I guess isn't fair to the coney islands. No systems, no uniforms, no training and bad attitudes if you care to venture into this local bar.

Its a bar! They can make almost any type of drink as well as make a burger/sandwich or appetizer.... I came with a group of ladies to celebrate the end of the week. I ordered the southwestern eggrolls. I got two egg rolls cut in halves. They were pretty dry. It came with an "avocado ranch", but it was bland. I wouldn't get it again, but there are a lot of other options. Someone in our group got nachos and said they were good. Service was pretty good. As of 3/2015 the happy hour special included .50 off drinks... I'd come back, but there are plenty of bars to visit in Canton.

My husband and I went in for dinner there and the food was good and a good price...we were enjoying our food and drinks when 9 o'clock rolled around some EXTREMELY LOUD rap music came on that was the most VULGAR nasty music I have ever heard...and have NEVER heard in a public place. IT REPEATEDLY said the f word n word and every word in between. I ASKED for the manager and their response was don't come in here loafter 9. WORRY NO MORE...I will never go back!!!lo

Meh says it all. Came in here with the family for the Friday Fish Fry. When you walk into this place, it feels like you're walking into someone's basement bar to a party which you were not invited. So...right off the bat, you feel out of place. Our server was just okay. When we asked for silverware, she put a pile of napkins, forks, and knives on the table. I get that this is a bar and not a four star restaurant, but it's not a coney island either. Walk around the table, put the napkins down, and set the fork and knife on top of the napkin. That's why you get tipped...to do your job. Our waters went empty for minutes on end. The food wasn't bad. I ordered a pork chop special. The flavors were good, but the pork chop was overcooked. Everyone else seemed at least decently pleased with their food. We got seated right by the kitchen so it was noisy, dishes were constantly crashing into the bus bin and the waitstaff was congregating near our table and socializing with each other. Overall, I'd say that for the size, the place has potential. It is in some serious need of some management though. It seemed like the place was way overstaffed, yet somehow wasn't doing a good job of catering to the needs of its patrons. First time here. Last time here.

I have gone to 4 friends many times being that I have lived in Canton over 20 years. Food is ok, and the entertainment is pretty bad except for one band that they have occasionally eye2eye who is very good. They should have them play there more often, if they did my friends and I would go there more often.

Reminds me of going to a 1970's basement that was finished with a bar. Wood paneling and a mix of chairs that don't match. I came because I heard the food was decent and a good price. Well that turned out to be half right. It was a good price but the quality wasn't very good. I had a steak and it was overlooked. Think it was one of those steaks that are injected with something. Texture and taste was terrible. And lastly as the night got later there seemed to be a lot of bikers. Made me a little uneasy but I left shortly after they were coming in. Definitely a one and only time going there.

I went here for dinner and thought it was pretty good. I had the all you can eat fish and chips and coleslaw. It cost about $9.95 for that meal. The coleslaw was okay. It was different. I think they might have used Pepper and vinegar, I've never had coleslaw like that but I somewhat liked it. The bread basket was below average. The soft bread they served tasted a bit stale. It just wasn't what I expected. The fish and chips was excellent. I haven't had better fried fish anywhere. The fish was so tender and crispy. The fries were definitely above average in my opinion. The waitress was friendly and attentive. It could use a bit of updating. It's ironic the sign says "the new taste of canton'. It probably been there for 25 plus years. They have wood paneling for there walls. For sure 70's or 80's decor. I would come back for dinner another time.

This is a very *regulars* type place, the age also skews 50ish. Needless to say I did not fit in at all, even when dropping in with my friend who is a regular. Atmosphere was smoky it seemed everywhere even though I assume we were in the non smoking section. I think they have bad ventilation. Not much to speak of, seems a bit run down and generally unimpressive. The food was very meh but cheap. We went with a group from work and everyone other than our friend was less than impressed. Typical burgers and sandwiches, my chef salad was very iceberg and the meats on it were obviously Meijer-ish. Dressing tasted bottled. I know one of our group had to send back her ham sandwich as it tasted off to her but mine tasted fine (although not top quality) on the chef so.... Another night I met her for drinks. Not my crowd at all but the drink (a long island) was fine, fully loaded and decently priced. Just not my thing at all though.

Horrible food. Steak tips were rotten and the chips in the nachos were stale along with the meat on the nachos you could tell it had been heated and cooled numerous times. Friendly service and cheap drinks but we will never be back. Long islands were 3 bucks but was very little alcohol.

We went here to hear a friend's band. It was a great time. The bar is small enough that you don't feel overwhelmed walking in for the first time. It's easy to find the people you're trying to meet up with. Luckily it also wasn't very crowded. While we didn't try eating anything, our waitress was quick and nice. She kept us in drinks and was somehow even faster about helping the band with their orders on their break. I'd recommend 4 Friends as a great place to meet up if you have friends in the area.

My wife and I stop in here whenever we're in the Canton area. They have good food for a great price, most meals around $8.50 and nothing over $15.00 on the menu that includes Prime Rib a couple nights a week and a good selection of daily hand-cut steaks! Real good Fish & Chips and Burgers, I think they're 1/2 lb.burgers as well as a decent Mexican selection. They have live entertainment and a dance area on weekends. As for the 50-ish crowd I think the age group is a little more varied than that, from 25 yr. old's to 60, but the music is generally middle of the road rock, and of course smoke free now, which was a problem in the past. The kitchen stays open 'til 11:pm on weekends! I don't see the problem at all with the 'Regulars" as the others have remarked about. All good bars need regulars to pay the bills. I'd suggest it as a good non-chain place to eat in Canton.

Most ignorant bar in Canton. Told a man he can't smoke in the bar after he lights up, and a waitress tells him to get out. After his return, a manager that had been drinking told me I had a problem with her friend who was the manager who was smoking. She said who cares there's not enough enforcement to enforce it and told me to leave.

When we walked in, I swear I had been mysteriously transported to north-east Flint circa early 1990s. It just has the Buick City shopworker feel to it, to me. Heineken is about as fancy as the beer list gets - we settled on Killian's from the tap. The chicken fingers and fries were hot, good and cheap. I think the chicken was battered in Drake's (closer to tempura than Kentucky fried). You can take this all as a plus or a minus, depending on what you are looking for. Despite their penchant for cussing like sailors when chatting among themselves and with the regulars at the bar, the waitresses were very friendly and we got great service (I agree with Liz W that this is a very 'regulars' sort of place). I will probably go back and try their prime rib when the smoking ban goes into effect.

I have come here quite a few times and have always enjoyed it! I think that they have the best fish and chips of anywhere I've ever been. Large portions of food and great prices.

This was a very good food value place up until about 2-3 years ago. It has taken a half step backwards since then but it is still worth visiting, albeit not as frequently as in the past. Pretty good menu, most of which is ok. Decent prices, decent quantities, decent quality.
