Stick to the pizza! I ordered the Thai boneless wings and let's just say...thumbs down But the gluten free pizza is delish! I ordered one of their vegetarian pizza with the GF crust using a groupon deal. You can taste the freshness of ingredients and in the crust they order from a local company. Overall I will be back as long as they keep their specials and groupon going! Besides that its very pricey. Definitely a treat for the price and quantity. Also the customer service was great very laid back and chilled. Which was perfect since it took me 20 min to figure out what to order

If Yelp would let me, I'd give this place no stars, because Yelp describes this restaurant as "open," yet the printed sign on the establishment says it is closed due to mechanical problems. Mailbox full to overflowing, last Yelp review several months ago...hmmmm...there may be more serious problems than simply "mechanical."

Decided to give the place a try through a groupon offer. When arrived on a Sunday afternoon when states they are open a handwritten sign was on the door saying they will be back at 3:30. Waited the 15 minutes for them to reopen and proceeded to order. Got 2 specialty pizzas BBQ pulled pork and another along with 2 entree salads and total came to $52 dollars for salads and 2 large pizzas. Overpriced to say the least. As for good ran out or roasted red pepper for pizza so could not get all toppings and te dough was tough and Chewy without any flavor. Sad to say domino's and jet's have better pizza and wish would have went there instead and paid half for what paid there. In other words don't waste your time or money going to this place for they may be closed when supposed to be open and the prices are way overpriced for below average rating pizza. Good thing for groupon for paid $28 instead of what could have been $52. Still disappointed spent that much for dinner.

They wouldn't even answer the phone so I could place my order at 3 o'clock on a Friday. Zero stars if I could~

I liked their pizza and wings. The service is incredibly slow. While waiting in-store for 20 minutes, I noticed them miss multiple phone calls. Hopefully they are just working out some kinks, because I certainly liked the food enough to go back.

I ordered one large pizza and it was excellent! I ordered half of one type and half of another type and it came out great; the tandoori and the everest. The tandoori was a but spicy so be prepared. The service was fast and friendly and I would definitely get pizza from here again!

After finding this place through Groupon we decided we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The Buffalo wings were very tasty along with the two pizzas that were ordered. There is a small bar up against the window so that you can enjoy your meal there if you would like, but this place it definitely catered more for take out. We will definitely be back.

I also had a groupon that I was anxious to use. I ordered the individual sizes of the Mont Blanc, and, I think The White Out. (I can't remember what I asked for, & it's not written on the box. That's odd in itself.) I also got the Back Country Betty salad. I didn't order in advance, & it was an off-time, so I had some time to talk to the 2 guys running the place. While they were sort of friendly, they didn't seem very happy there. One of them told me how hard it is to prepare for the weekend because there are so many items on the menu and that they have to start doing that on Wednesdays. We also talked about their location (You'd never find it if you weren't looking for it, as it is in a residential area) and how that's hurting their business because people don't just see them while passing by. While I personally didn't mind the conversation, the joking (saying I had 32 seconds to make up my mind, and one guy saying not to take his seat in his "office" -- the stool across from the register), I think others could be put off by it. The pizzas were, indeed, small; 4 little pieces. If I'd paid the nearly $7 each for them, I would've been upset. The White Out (or whichever vegetarian pizza I got) is very spicy. The Mont Blanc was more to my liking, but too salty. Unlike other people who commented, I actually liked the crust. The Back Country Betty salad, however, is very good, with fresh spinach leaves, big chunks of feta cheese and lots of bacon. The candied walnuts and carmelized onions are tasty, too. The lemon vinaigrette dressing complemented the salad nicely. (They gave me 2 large containers; I only needed a little splash, so I have plenty for other days.) It is also a rather generous portion; enough that I only ate half. Sadly, I don't think this is a place I'll go back to -- unless I want that salad again. There are just too many other places that do pizza so much better and/or cheaper.

If you want a machine made, perfectly round, perfectly 1/4" thick overpriced Little Caeser pizza that is 'gourmet' because someone put broccoli & red onions on it, come here & overpay for underwhelming. Not worth it. If you want good pizza go to Amici's, Crispellis or even Como's instead. There may be a good reason why this is the former location of Amici's (who seem to still be thriving in Berkley) Tried 2 different pizzas, one vegetation, one meat. Underwhelmed by the taste & ingredient quality, kind of tough crust due to its thickness. Not bothering to come back. Sorry to the owner, but this franchise is a fail. If I want that quality of pizza I can get it at Dominos, Little Ceaser's or Hungry Howies for 25% the price. The only positive is that the pies are big, but $48 for 2 18" pizzas is just too much.

The crust is hard as a rock, my jaw hurts from having to chew so much to get the pizza down. Not a ton of flavor , would not recommend.

Good specialty pizza for the price. Won't blow you away...but better than dominos little caesars etc. But is still cheap. Very diverse menu. I wools recommend.

We used their groupon to try out this place for the first time. We love it. I have been craving an indian style pizza which i first tried in hamtramck. Finally i found a place in the burbs that serves it. It was called "the spice route." We also tried the thai wings and the powpow or whatever it is called. We have several other pizzas that we want to try next time. I would not be surpised if we have this once a week. The service was excellent because they delivered to Clawson and allowed us to do delivery with the Groupon. I hate when coupons restrict you. The delivery guy was super friendly and talkative. My boyfriend who is a chef said it was the best pizza we have had delivered. Previously his fave was green lantern.

Hit and miss, but mostly miss. These guys moved into the old Amici's Pizza location, and, sad to say, they don't hold a candle to Amici's (but my very favorite is, forever, Tomatoes Apizza, sadly, nowhere near my house). I have ordered several "gourmet" pizzas, and the only one I really liked was the "something-cow," a white pizza with fontina and roasted walnuts. Everything else tasted off, as if they tried very hard, but got it completely wrong in the end. The "Thai" salad was extremely expensive, big on lettuce and downright skimpy on chicken and other tasty ingredients.

I've had Extreme Pizza many times in other states and I was so excited to see that they are now in my neighborhood! You can taste the freshness of each one of their pizzas and all the different combinations are worth a try! Very vegetarian and gluten-sensitive friendly! The location is off the main Birmingham strip, but it's easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. Carryout and delivery options are available. Take advantage of their coupons while they still have them! Gentleman who took my order was very courteous. I am definitely going back again and again!

I love their pizza and was very excited when they opened here in Birmingham as I used to order from them all the time when I lived in San Francisco. Unfortunately, this franchise seems to be seriously lacking. We have tried to order for delivery probably about 30 times in the last 6 months, but have only been able to order maybe 5 times. Usually they are just closed when they are supposed to be open, many times we have been told to call back later or that there is only one person there and they can't deliver. If this restaurant were open when they were supposed to be and were not staffed by the laziest people of all time it would be thriving.

PROS: Pretty good GF crust (taste's like Udi's), and they cooked it properly (IMHO most pizza places undercook GF crusts). MOST of the toppings on the pizza were fresh (Drag it thru the garden). CONS: Menu indicates "marinated" artichokes. The ones they used for my pizza and salad where not; they were the plain water-based canned kind - big difference especially on a salad. VERY expensive. Look for an Amazon Local or Groupon for sure Ordered the Antipasto Salad (entree) and it was essentially a container of romaine lettuce with a few chunks of tomatoes, a few pepperoncini, black olives, and cheese. There was LITERALLY MAYBE once slice total of salami (which was super duper thin), and MAYBE a half-slice of ham. Do yourself a favor and save some $$ and order a side salad instead (or none at all). *********in response to Barry W on 9/14/14********* Hey there, I am the manager at this location and I figured I would check it out and see if you followed through on your threat from last night and I am glad you did! However, There are some parts of this story that are missing. When I took your order I explained that we had some orders ahead of yours and that with would be around 1hr and 20 mins to get to you and you responded with "I guess I don't have a choice". Now, Within 37 mins you were calling to see if the order was on the way and it was again explained that our driver had taken 3 orders out and yours would be brought to you when he returned and that it was going to be cooked when he returned and brought directly to you. In the next 21 mins you called 2 more times asking where the order was, Now that puts us 3 calls regarding a matter that was explained to you prior to you placing your order. Now, Once my driver left with your pizza the young man was unable to find the 555 building, Which anyone who knows Birmingham would agree is almost impossible. When you called and spoke to the young lady on the phone she told you it was on it's way and you responded with "I don't want it now" which is understandable and your choice I hate when I order something and it's 17 mins late also. Now, this leads to our final conversation of the evening when you told me you ordered Dominos and I should give you free pizza for future orders if I didn't give you free pizza last night you were going to write a bad yelp!, So if you recall correctly you will remember me telling you enjoy your Dominos and have a good night and I hope you did! Oh and Mondays at our Birmingham Location we have Monday Madness a large 1 topping pizza and extreme bread for $15.99, Mention this and I will give you a free Cookie!!!!!!!

Can't comment on the pizza, but their marketing is a little suspect. Decided to give them a try because I had a restaurant.com certificate. When I arrived, they told me they wouldn't honor the $10 certificate on the $26 order I had placed. I let them keep their pizzas and went to Jets. Why make an effort to get new customers if they first thing you're going to do is make them feel cheated. Maybe that works on the people in their B'ham neighborhood, but I had driven from Royal Oak to give them a try.

This pizza was pretty poor. We had a regular large pizza with a couple of standard toppings on it. The pizza was small and they did not put much of the toppings on it. Most importantly, it was just not very good.

Two stars because at least it looked like pizza. This place fits right in the neighborhood. Overpriced and horrible quality. If you want to spend $45 on two large pizzas and some breadsticks, order Hippies in Royal Oak. At least you'll pay for quality. The dominos around the corner is far better and half the price. The pizza we just picked up was bland, overcooked, and dry. We ordered a 'dragged through the garden' and a custom pizza for the kids. The crust tastes frozen, the sauce tasted canned. My nine year old wanted some Frank's red hot to make it taste like something. That being said, the area seems to continue to support sub par establishments so I'm sure that Extreme Pizza will do just fine.

I absolutely love their pizzas. I had Mont Blanc and Pandora's Box and they are great. Thin crust and light! I order at least once a month.
