Nice little coffee shop inside a caboose! I stopped here on my way into Kittery, ME for a work trip. They serve New England coffee which is not my favorite, but an ok choice for cup in a pinch. I do have to say they have a pretty good amount of flavor selections, so you aren't just stuck with a house roast if you want more. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a onion bagel - definitely a good choice, the sandwich was made neatly so the inside weren't spilling out everywhere when I unwrapped it, a definite plus. No time for sloppy sandwiches, folks. Especially when I've yet to have coffee! Don't expect anything out of the ordinary, but if you want a regular cup of joe and breakfast sandwich, stop in.

Stopped here for lunch. Very friendly, quick service. Got a roast beef sandwich on a bagel. The bagel tasted fresh and was soft enough for a sandwich. Got mustard, Boursin cheese, lettuce tomato and pickle with a little bag of chips for $5.50. Cute little train car shaped dining area with a few tables. In and out in less time than it took to write this. Probably 3.5 stars, but I'll go 4 for the friendly service.

The owner is rude. My in-laws were visiting and we went to eat at the table out side. My father in law is a bit of a hefty man but with severe back injuries and when he sat the whole table came with him as he fell back and his hot coffee fell all over him. The owner's response? "Ze table iz for ze children". Really?! Not even a sorry that happened or anything. Thank God my father in law didn't hear it bc he would have TKOed the guy right in the kisser! Not going there again!

I was traveling through and stopped in here for breakfast. I ordered egg and cheese on a spinach bagel. I got a rubbery bagel (even though it went through a toaster) with zero flavor (clearly not freshly baked and kept in plastic bags). Microwaved eggs (at least I think it's eggs). Processed American cheese. Almost $7 for the sandwich and an OJ. Barely edible. Nice people at the counter.

This place looks amazing but the food is horrible. I live in the neighborhood and believe me it's not worth it.

Right off the Kittery circle I nice little local "fast" food place. They offer a variety of coffee and a ton of bagels and cream cheeses. I've never had a bad experience, the food is always quick, good and good service.

Huh? I do not get the high ratings for this place at all. The bagels are not good. Egg and French Toast bagels were more like roll consistency...and not good rolls.

My husband was a paramedic up in Kittery for a few years and always raved about the awesome bagels, homemade cream cheese and the perfect cup of coffee. On our vacation up to moose head region we manages to get breakfast there twice and he was so excited. The bagels are great and the cream cheese was out of this world. Cinnamon raisin of course. I bought the same coffee they serve in one of the grocery stores and still can't make it as well as they do.

Great selection of bagels and toppings. The caboose interior is really homey and cute, too. It's the first place I've ever gone where I ask for a 'light amount of cream cheese' and they do the perfect amount without slabbing a ton on. I'm a fan!

The Bagel Caboose is exactly what you expect from a Frenchman serving bagels out of an old train. Really though, I like the place. Best sandwiches/bagels ever? No, but everyone has different tastes. I have a friend who loves them. I do like the iced coffee. I don't know why but its the reason I go back so often.

Traveling to my Summer place, I've stopped at the caboose many times. What a great surprise to see the caboose cleaned, and painted top to bottom. The new owners have done a wonderful job both inside and outside, I could "feel" the cleanliness. I had, what was called, a South of The Border breakfast sandwhich. Delicious! The help told me they plan on having weekly specials and a new menu in the future. I plan on stopping every time I pass by, and I've told all my neighbors to be sure to visit them. Congratulations to the new owners.

Closest thing I've had to a New York bagel since I moved up here. Bacon scallion cream cheese is to die for. The owner is very friendly as is the rest of the staff. I heard the owner might be selling the place, so if you haven't tried the caboose get down there before it's too late

Best bagel sandwiches in the area also the french guy is pretty cool. Large selection of cream cheeses to go with your bagels and bagel sandwiches. Assorted pasteries too. Also the spiced chai tea is legit!

Warm cream cheese, gross bathrooms, and really rude servers ........ Don't go if you can avoid it .

My boyfriend was raised in Kittery and was telling my all about the Bagel Caboose and how the bagels are amazing. So on a little hometown tour, he took me to his old home, while on the way we passed the bagel caboose. I knew we had to stop, but sadly they looked closed. He was determined to show me his favorite bagel shop, and that he did. The owner was closing up, and the staff had already left, but he let us come in and order. This sweet French man made my afternoon, and he made my boyfriends, love it when that happens. The lox bagel is so delicious, couldn't have asked for a better bagel in small town Maine. I don't care for cream cheese so I ordered a bagel toasted with butter, and it definitely tickled my fancy. I would love to come back and enjoy a breakfast sandwich on the patio. it is such a cute place inside and out. Until next time Bagel Caboose!

The Bagel Caboose is an adorable red caboose that has bagels, cream cheese, bagel sandwiches, muffins, and quite a few flavors of coffee every day. My favorite thing? They have tofu cream cheese! My least favorite? The bagels aren't great (I firmly believe that bagels must be boiled) and I don't think they make them there - I arrived really early one morning (6am or so) and the bagels weren't even the tiniest bit warm. Nonetheless, it's a good place and I like it.

My boyfriend, knowing I'm a Jew who loves her Jew food, took me here yesterday. We both got bagels and lox......something I haven't eaten in over 10 years. My multigrain bagel was really soft and fresh and the lite veggie cream cheese I got was awesome too. The lox were thinly sliced and tasted so good and smokey. The cute, little French man who took our orders asked if we wanted capers....and boy have I found that I LOVE capers. Unlike small, hard as a rock capers that I am used to, these were big and soft and perfectly salty. We're definitely coming back soon.

Didn't know what to expect when i first walked in the adorable little red caboose, and was pleasently surprised. The small room was dimly lit and they had a lot of different spreads u could put on your bagel or croissant including boursin with chive and homemade creamcheeses. The bagels are ridiculously soft and deliscious. Im a purist so i got a sesame with butter and was not dissapointed in the slightest. So good that i bought a half dozen to bring home with me :). Oh and when we went it was monday morning and the most adorable little frenchman served us. He was very kind and theres nothing like a french accent in the morning!

The place is cute but the bagels are not! These are pieces of bread not bagels. If you are starving like I was and want a snack, a toasted bagel could stand in for a slice of toast. Not worth stopping for if you are looking for an actual bagel.

The Bagel Caboose is a charming eatery located minutes away from downtown Kittery on what is commonly referred to as the "Golden Mile" of Kittery, Maine. The Caboose is just that, a renovated caboose which operated previously in a rail station in Portland, ME. The interior offers tables for customers to read the complimentary papers while munching on their favorite bagels. The bagels are fresh daily, and the cream cheese spreads are homemade. The menu ranges from bagels with spreads, to sandwiches, bagel pizzas, and different soups. The shop is cute and inexpensive; a perfect combination for both the regular traveler on their way to work, or a hungry person 'from away' who has traveled over from the near by Kittery shopping outlets and wants a bite to eat. Stop in and have a bagel with your choice of cream cheese for $2. Personal recommendation: garlic or 'everything' bagel with bacon & scallion cream cheese.
