The wicked tail - fried lobster tail was delicious. Great spicy sauce. The home-made cole slaw with capers was excellent compliment to this tasty and meaty fried lobster tail. Disappointed that the pesto, spinach, tomato, grilled chesse sandwich was not available. The lady behind the counter told us it is only available every now and then as a daily special. Settled for a grilled cheese sandwich without the pesto.

Interesting little place... It's a take out place, but I ended up waiting 30-40 minutes to get my food. Absolutely absurd. There was one girl making food, one ordering. The girl making food was making food one order at a time (I. E. She would wait for an entire order to complete before starting the other!!!). She would then be singing and dancing while making food and even spent the time to stop, go to the register to change the music... Twice! I want my food, I'm not here for entertainment. They're lucky they're in such a friendly place as Kennebunkport, would never survive in a city. Not recommended. Unless you want to wait 30-40 minutes to get decently good food (not amazing) and get super frustrated in the middle of your day along with all the other customers. Operations are horrible Food is above average, though it's all fried and buttered (which is hard to screw up!)

Great fried lobster tail, lobster roll and shrimp po boy. 4 1/2 stars deserved. Well worth taking the shuttle into kennebunkport.

I ate lobster grilled cheese here yesterday and the experience is still singing through my mind today. It was perfection. Beautiful bread with tons of lobster, bacon and avocado with cheese. Grilled to perfection in front of me. I was leaning toward the lobster poutine. Or the shrimp poboy that the man behind me was nudging me to try. But so glad I made the commitment to the grilled cheese. This is no light meal. And you will not be hungry again till morning. But it is worth every morsel. Simply excellent. Apparently this seasonal place has been here only a short time. Located right next to Rococo ice cream. a must have dessert after your Wicked tails.

The food here is amazing and one of the best deals in kennebunkport. This is a take out restaurant so unfortunately there is no seats unless you are lucky enough to get a spot on one of the benches outside. Even if you can't get a seat, stand somewhere and eat or just find a curb to sit on. The restaurant is named after their signature dish the wicked tail which is a fried lobster tail on a stick. There is the perfect amount of whatever they use to coat the lobster so that it is on not inside, but still just enough to add some crunchy texture. You have the choice of butter (traditional) or chipotle aoli (very spicy) but get the aoli because if you wanted butter why would you get a non traditional way of having lobster served? The tail also comes with a slaw that is amazing. I've always heard capers are kinda salty/briny but in this slaw they meld perfectly and you should definitely try it. I'm always a big fan of poutine, so I tried the clam chowder poutine which was loaded with a big scoop of clam chowder instead of gravy and plenty of bacon and cheese curds. This should be split with someone else though because the mixture of fries and chowder are filling. Finally, I tried a spinach pesto grilled cheese. I had doubts because normally I hate strictly vegetarian foods but this blew me away. The pesto should be added to every grilled cheese. The only downfall is that this was s daily special so it might not be available for someone else. Just go eat here, perfect for lunch.

When you visit a place like this you are looking for a quick, tasty meal, and then get on your merry way. They have a nice selection of food to choose from, and in most cases you should only have to wait 10-15 minutes for your food. You take your first bite and boy are you surprised, "This is actually incredibly tasty!" After enjoying several great meals here, it is a place that easily recommend to others feeling confident that they will take well care of anyone I send to them. Stop by...you won't regret it!

This little hole in the wall (as much as that's possible on the Kennebunkport strip) provided exactly what we were hoping for before hitting the road: a quick, fresh and reasonably priced seafood meal. The classic lobster roll was exactly what it purported to be while the lobster poutine put a Maine twist on this hearty classic. We went out on a limb with the chowder dog-- New England clam chowder and bacon slathered over a hot dog-- and were pleasantly surprised by the combo. If you want to follow it with some ice cream, Rococo's next door is the way to go.

The lobster rolls and seared haddock sandwich we had were some of the best food we had on our trip to Maine. The lobster roll had just the right amount of mayo, not overwhelming like some places, and the seasonings and sauce on the haddock was perfect. There's no real seating here, but get something and take it up the street a little way where you can sit by the ocean and enjoy

We tried the tail and didn't disappoint, great flavor and good batter. Maybe I would put a bit more batter in it but it was really good despite that. I loved the spicy sauce that comes with it. Highly recommend it as part of the whole Kennebunk port experience.

Most awesome food. All very fresh. Lobster roll is lobster on a roll not a roll with some lobster in it. The tail is done just right. Very good slaw. Would have eaten much more. A great find.

This is by far the best food in kport!!!! They have the best sliders ever!! It is a bit pricy but worth it! It does take a little bit of time to get ur food but not that long! For 5 peeps it takes about 15 min to get ur food but it is worth it!!! I highly recommend the sliders and after having some sliders, the best ice cream place is right next to it so it is perfect for a quick stop or a nice dinner!!! I highly recommend this place! I have been coming to kport for 12 years and this is the best!!! GO HERE!!!!!!

This place was reasonable and delicious! We had tried lobster tail ($10) and lobster grilled cheese with avocado and bacon ($14). The fried lobster tail came on a stick with a spicy dipping sauce on the side. So good! But even better was the lobster grill cheese. It was out of this world, definitely one of my favorites of all time. Grill cheese usually sounds so boring but this was one of the most unique sandwiches I had in a long time. It was a big sandwich full of lobster, Munster cheese, meaty avocado, and crispy bacon. Even the cole slaw (which I usually never eat, was different but good). Going back for another tomorrow. :)

Excellent sandwiches, great fries and awesome service. Lobster, grilled cheese is one of the different types of sandwiches you will see on the menu. Just great food!

Great lobster tails, try the spicy one! Amazing old bay fries. Super friendly service too. Would be great if they had a few places to sit, but not a huge problem.

If you're in the area and want something easy and portable you HAVE to check this place out. It feels like a place that would be in Portland, but it's in Kennebunkport which is awesome and a standout from the usual fried clam/shrimps/lobster roll fare. Food is made with intentionality here and it shows- even down to the sides. Usually the fries that come with lobster rolls are sad little things but these were delicious and I inhaled all of them. Also the cole-slaw - with capers and fennel- just a really nice touch. What I got: -Lobster Roll (a must get, because this one is perfect) -Lobster Tater Tots -Shrimp platter Lobster Roll was on point- bread perfect, just the right amount of mayo where we could still really taste the freshness of the lobster meat (there is a "naked" version for the mayo-averse). It is probably the best lobster roll I've ever had and much cheaper than other places that sloppily throw their rolls together. Lobster tater tots- more of a "lobster cake" if you will, so prep yourself for these patties haha. Not sure if this is up my alley but I could still tell that ingredients were fresh and not overly greasy. Shrimp platter- Can I say a big THANK YOU to you guys for creating the perfect batter to shrimp ratio?? Nothing makes me sadder than a fried shrimp that is 75% batter and 25% shrimp. I'm a big eater- and lived in NY for 4 years, Los Angeles for more years than I can count and now MA and I can say that this place stands up to the test. Such a wonderful little joint- and you can get icecream next door at Rococo after!

I visited Wicked Tails today based on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed whatsoever. The fried lobster tail on a stick with chipotle dipping sauce was amazing and hands down the best lobster I have had yet. The hand cut fries were just as good. A member of my party got the haddock sandwich and it was "awesome". The staff were very friendly and we got there just in time to beat the line! Grab a bench or curb as there is no seating but thats ok because the food and the gorgeous day made up for it. A place that shouldn't be missed!! Very reasonably priced too.

I don't know where this lady learned her stuff, but she employs magic. There is actual magic in the food. We had the fried lobster on a stick and the clam chowder poutine. The dipping sauce that comes with the tail hovers between an aioli and a tartar sauce with a small kick and a smokey finish. Wow. The clam chowder poutine, boy, that is the stuff! The first bite seems salty, but then the chowder comes in like a silken white gravy and you can't believe how she balances the whole thing between rich and light. And then the cole slaw! It comes with the fried tail and, of all the places in Kennebunkport, this one had THE BEST. Maybe best ever. I don't know what all she puts in it, but I thought I got flavors of anise and tarragon and there was definitely a smattering of capers. Genius! And this is coming from a purist. The fries are perfect. Are there amulets in the window? A cat familiar? I wouldn't be surprised if the lovelorn came here. The memory of flavors we had still haunts me.
