Casual place to grab a bite of food and a beer. Have not had a bad brew yet. Food is upgraded pub style. Flatbreads burgers etc. been here several times and every time the service is off the mark. Typically it is something small that takes 10 minutes or so to get like ketchup or another drink or the bill. Would be 4 stars if service was better.

One of my favorite eateries. Never had a bad meal or service here. I have gone out of the box and ordered something beyond my tastes, but still not bad food at all. Great beer too. Definitely better than another local joint down the street. The white chicken chili is to die for!!! Great burgers and salads.

The butternut squash ravioli was fantastic and the next night I has the woody pizza and it was also the best. I am very impressed with everything including the service. 5 stars!

We've been enjoying Sebago in both South Portland (or Scarborough, whichever) and Kennebunk since we moved to Maine in '09. Back then I would have rated it 4 stars. Both of them, though, have taken a turn for the worst - menus have shifted, and absolutely not for the better. I'll keep going occasionally - I do love some of their beers - but their brewery competition in the 'Port is crushing them from a food quality perspective.

For a local brew, I was expecting a cool location and hip atmosphere. When I found the place in a strip mall I was a bit less excited. We walked in and I have to say, the decor could have been any restaurant. Very generic, nothing out of the ordinary. We were seated in a far back corner, not sure if it was because we had 2 small kids with us or not. But I have to say we felt isolated back there. The waitress was pleasant, but not terribly attentive. The food was ok. Not bad, but nothing overly interesting. It's an okay place if you want something simple but don't get your hopes up for anything more interesting than a TGI Fridays!

OK, if I was just giving stars for the beers here, I would be giving away 5 stars. But you don't need to travel to Kennebunk to experience the fine brews that Sebago Brewers are bottling and selling all over the USA, of course. To be honest, I came here because Owen's Farmhouse wasn't open yet, and my guests needed to refresh before heading South to NH, so we decided to give it a try. The food stinks, that's all there is to it. We had a "flatbread" pizza, total MEH. I ordered fish-n-chips, and the fish was like Gorton's of Gloucester frozen thick batter, GROSS! And the "chips" were hard-fried nastiness. That's two thumbs down, right there. And then they served my kids apple juice in little plastic bottles with reconstituted goat pee, all the way from Ireland! WTF! Who imports apple juice from Ireland, I ask of thee? That is what I call globalization gone wrong, word to the mother! You know, this place reminds me of Federal Jack's in "Taint Town", the other brew pub in K-bunk. Both of them serve fantastic beer, both of them serve meh food at best. Of the two, Federal Jack's has the better location. So why would I want to come to a nondescript, sterile little box on old Route 1 to eat bad food and drink brews that I can pick up at any packy in the whole state of Maine? That makes no sense, dig?

Went there with my son. The food was good. I had a tuscan steak salad which was delicious my son had a pizza which was also good. We also have the soft pretzels as an appetizer those were delicious. I believe the waitress was probably fairly new she was not that great but she wasn't horrible either. She was making an effort. It's definitely pub food delicious but not super upscale, which is good. The one complaint I would have is we sat in the dining room and it was very smokey because the brick oven is open and exposed to the dining room. You get used to it after a while.

When we walked in we were first confused if we should seat ourselves or if there was a hostess. We got the attention of the bartender who said we could sit anywhere in the lounge if we wanted. Being diabetic and feeling a low I totally bee lined it to a table. And bam! Our waitress was already greeting us with menus. Well hello there! She returned within minutes to get our drink orders. She was efficient and I must say... As I was sipping the last of my drink and set my cup down she was already reaching for it and replacing it with a fresh one. Hello again! She was totally on it and it seemed effortless. Friends of ours decided to share a dinner and she was thoughtful enough to bring them separate plates with the sandwich divided as well as the side. Hello again thoughtful! This location is much like the others... Large bar with TVs playing sports (Socks v Yankees that night) and a separate quieter dining area. They brew their own beers but also have a nice selection of other drinks available. For me, the stand out was our waitress and I wish I had gotten her name!

Monday night trivia at Sebago was so fun!! We were looking for something to do while on vacation that would appeal to our whole family. The trivia night was perfect. The game was really well-orchestrated and the questions spanned a variety of topics, so we all could participate. There was a great crowd of regulars there participating, so it was lively. Be sure to get there before 7 (when it starts) so you can get a table or a seat at the bar. We were running late and ended up having dinner and drinks in the dining room. It wasn't ideal for trivia, but we could hear OK. The food and drinks were good, but honestly I wasn't paying that much attention because my attention was rapt. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Beer was average nothing exceptional, 4 stars because beer was unique. And bartender was awesome. And beer is very fairly priced .

I love sebago brewing company!! The atmosphere is awesome, you have plenty of options of where to sit. There's the dining room which mostly consists of booth sitting(which I prefer) and then theres a decent size wrap around bar in the center of the lounge which Is made up of a few booths and mostly high set bar tables. There is also a small area for outdoor seating as well. Set in the heart of Kennebunk it also is open till 12AM which is a rare thing around here so it's great to grab a drink and dinner once us local folk get out of work ourselves! They have some pub food favorites but have a lot of other yummy options too!! Wood fired pizza, HUGE salads, and yummy sandwiches and soups. Sebago is great spot for anyone looking to try some great local brews and grab a yummy inexpensive bite to eat!!

Monday night trivia night is a great time to go if you are looking for something fun to do AND grab a bite to eat with friends. As a previous Yelper stated, make sure you get there before 7 because the bar seats fill up fast!

Absolutely awful. We ordered the meatloaf meal and wings. Meatloaf was dry. Gravy on top already hardened as if it was sitting for a while. Veggies were cold. Mashed potatoes were old and translucent. Wings were dry. Only ate 3 wings of the 12. Told our waitress and she asked if we wanted something else. No one apologized or tried to make it right. 66 dollars later we are still hungry and not impressed. I won't be back here.

Service was a little slow but she was very busy and we had a big party. Food was good. Dumpling app and sauce was great. I got the st Patrick flat bread. I wish it had a bit more corn beef, but overall I enjoyed it very much! I will be returning to get some beers on tap..

I've been here 3 times. I always try to give a place a solid chance. Overall I am left feeling the food is sub-par and far from a good value. The staff is lovely, I just with the food was as well.

JUST OK...... More of a restaurant than a brew pub. Very open and a little cold feeling. We were greeted by the hostes with a warm smile and the option to be seated in the dining area or seat ourselves in the pub. We choose the pub setting but after 8 - 10 minutes without being acknowledged we asked to be seated in the dining area. The pub had maybe 14 people in it, 8 at the bar and 6 at tables, not busy at all so no excuse for waiting to be served. We also waited a few monutes for our waitress in the dining area but was pleased with her personality and efficient service when she arrived. We ordered the beer sampler and split a ruben sandwich with onion rings. The food and service were eccellent but the beers fell short of full bodied craft beers. The Trout Stout did offer a rich flavor but the IPA, Ales and heffeweisse seemed to be over hopped or watered down. We will try to locate a more friendly feeling pub for our next stop and hope our experience improves. For a fair experience stop here, but for that true brew pub experience try elsewhere. Remember, this is JOOFMO....just one old fat mans opinion solely, based on 60+ years of personal experiences.

Maybe Billy Carter was thinking about Sebago when he said something like 'There is no such thing as a bad beer. It's that some taste better than others.' .. Some beers here maybe taste better than others, the beers i tried were all pretty OK but sadly none were exceptional - I have had Sebago beers before in bottles and my memory of them was better than what i had at the brew pub... for food I started with the warm pretzels (seemed to be coated with a stick of butter) and also had a falafel burger.. it was OK. This location was easy to get to off 95, and it was open late. Kinda feels like a chain strip mall restaurant and not a cool local brew pub.

I might just be in love. I'm not sure how to describe this feeling inside. It's a little bit butterflies, a little bit blushed cheeks, a little bit jaw-dropping astonishment. When I think about my experience at Sebago last night, I get a funny, fluttery feeling in the pit of my stomach. If I could have, I may just have dropped to one knee and asked our waitress to marry me. I don't mind sharing her with other patrons so long as she can be my waitress forever and always, through sickness and in health, through French fries and salads, local brews and lemon water. Here's how our fairy tale romance unfolded: We sat ourselves in the bar/lounge area and were promptly greeted by our waitress. I have to admit, I didn't really pay much attention as she took our drink orders and then retreated. I didn't even learn her name!! Everything was going according to normal first date rules with a wait staff when she brought out our drink order and asked for our food. But then, somewhere between the NY/Red Sox showdown on the four televisions around us and the delivery of our appetizers it happened. She swooped in and took me by surprise by refilling our drinks at the precise moment they were emptied. Could it be?! Could she be THE ONE? The waitress against whom all other waitresses would be judged? How else could she have slipped in so unobtrusively to swap out glasses? We were engaged in conversation and BAM! New drinks! She was an apparition. A beautiful apparition that can apparently carry a tray. I don't know how this ghost stuff works but she did it and, in doing so, she claimed my heart. And then, when my husband and I decided we wanted to split our meal, she thoughtfully brought out our food cut in half on two separate plates. When does that ever happen?! IT WAS AMAZING. Almost 24 hours later, I'm still thinking about her. If you're out there magical Sebago waitress, I love you.

Ok for starters, the brewery is really small and attached to a big restaurant. The bartender was slow, not friendly. I sat down, she handed me a beer menu, I looked at it and decided, she served someone else who came in after me, then checked out a take out order and disappeared to help him to his car. So, after about 15 minutes, she finally asks me what I want and I ordered a lake trout stout. I asked for a half pint, she said they don't serve half pints, that I could get 5 5oz beers instead of a 16 oz beer.... Hmm 20oz vs 16 oz. I told her to just put half a pint in a pint glass that I would to drink the full pint (I was driving and being responsible).... She said ok... Stocked the bar, left the bar yet again for some other reason, so I left sans beer. I wanted to try this microbrewery, but they may be more of a food place than a beer place.

Great atmosphere, okay food...bad service. Overly priced for what you're really getting. I go as a last minute option but it's only okay. Pizza is good. That's the only "great" thing on the menu.

This is one of the few spots in town withe late night specials. Food I mediocre, but the beer is pretty good and if you catch the right drink specials it is a good deal. Tough to find those during tourist season.

visited in sept 2012 -- friend's wedding weekend. arrived in town somewhere close to midnight; checked in and desperately looking for something warm to eat. then fiance's "gluten free app" pointed us here; it being one of the last places open at the ungodly hour, didn't really have much of a choice. classic pub fare. sat at the bar; lady bartender was nice, though they seemed to be cleaning up for the day. beer tab looked enticing; i ordered one along the amber lines, pretty good. food... blah. not horrible, but not something to rave about. we do thank them for staying open that late, though.

Stopped in here for a late dinner at the suggestion of a local bartender over the 4th of July weekend with my father and was totally impressed. True, the atmosphere is slightly contrived and a bit cafeteria feeling, but the food, drinks, and service was superb. I live in NYC and would be really pleased to have similar quality in Manhattan or Brooklyn. We asked to share a seafood special and it came out on two plates neatly arranged... this was unexpected and an impressive touch. Great job sebago!

Burgers & beer at the bar, Excellent burgers with home made chips and large sweet potato fries on a soft pretzel roll along with IPA and Saddleback ale... Was able to sample some beers on tap from Chris the bar tender that night, he was fantastic! Yes a new building in the front of a strip mall, very clean with many TVs at the bar... 4 locations in Maine, will be back fer shure, ah yep...

Sort of surprised at the low rating. The food is really pretty darn good and big portions to boot. I've certainly had worse food at sports bars and brewpubs. The beers I've had are all pretty solid too. The feel of the place though is generically sterile. The main thing I'd change would be the atmosphere and better ventilation in the kitchen. Smoke was billowing out thus I left smelling like a grill. Even after those minor complaints this is still worthy of 4 stars. I'd certainly come back to catch a game.

Chicken looked and tasted frozen and was very over priced...mac and cheese lacked seasoning. Coffee had alot of grinds in it.

Although not in the touristy part of town, it's a great place for a casual meal. Our teenagers love the pretzel bun burgers and I often have a salad or fish. It has a bit of a "chain" feel, but the food is much better than a 99 or someplace like that, and the beer is awesome.

We went over 4th of July weekend, Sunday evening and we were rolling deep. They were able to set us up with reservations for 30 and the service was great. We beat the rush in the rest of the place and you could tell with how attentive and kind our waitstaff was. They were out of the Full Throttle on tap settled for the Fry's Leap which was a good choice. Split the Au Natural pizza, no one in our group had anything negative to say. Only strange thing was they declined to add the typical 18% gratuity to our meal with a party that large you would have thought it would be a given. They took care of it and spread the bill out over 4 cards without too much of a problem.

Great draft beers as well as explanations of the beers by the bartender... we luuuvved the bbq wings as well as a huuuge mushroom swiss burger and a very tasty cornbeef sandwich!!!! Would defintely go back!

Large beer selection (obviously). The food was pretty standard American food. I got a mediterranean salad. The chicken on it was surprisingly good but the rest was serviceable. Nothing great here, but nothing bad either. Totally standard meal.

Went in and sat at the bar for a light dinner on a Saturday night. The decor was bright and clean and service was prompt and very friendly. The A/C was cranked up a little more than necessary. The menu consists of standard bar fare and calories are listed for a few items. A separate list nutritional information for all of the menu items is available on request. Never having tried their beer before, I ordered a flight consisting of the Saddleback Ale, Runabout Red, Frye's Leap IPA, Boathouse Brown, and Lake Trout Stout. I typically prefer a darker beer but I really enjoyed the Saddleback Ale. I found the IPA flavor a little muddy and the stout tasted too much like coffee for my taste. The brown and red were decent. To eat, I had the Vermont Panini and my wife had a cup of the White Chicken Chili and a Lobster Roll. The panini was tasty, the chili was good but the texture seemed too thin. Jill's lobster roll was large and in need of seasoning. We would go back. It's a great place to grab a casual bite to eat with some good beer.

Stopped in for late night dinner since nothing else was open in the area. I was pretty surprised at the Beer Battered Fish n Chips, I don't order that often but it's probably the best I've ever had. The portion was huge, and very crispy. The chips weren't typical french fries, they were homemade style potato chips which were also crispy and delicious. Neither chips or fish was overly greasy.. Tried their Saddleback Ale and thought it was excellent. Bright light gold in color, crisp, clean hoppy finish. Service was also great, bartender was attentive and friendly. I'll go back next time I'm in the area..

I just recently returned home to Maine to find Sebago Brewing Company established in Kennebunk. Their beer is fairly good, and the food complements the beverages well. Try the Saddleback for a crisp, summer Pilsner. The menu has just recently been revamped with some great additions. I've had quite a few items on the menu and haven't been disappointed once. The Cuban Panini and Hop Daddy Chicken are great sandwiches. The wings are probably the largest I've ever had, and the soft pretzels are second to none. Great brewery atmosphere with very friendly staff. Stop in and check out a great addition to Kennebunk!

stopped in for lunch this weekend and will never return....not a fan of "chain-like" restos but this one is localish so we have been here once before and were ok with it. this time, we waited. and waited. and waited. for everything. food was ok, but the fact that we had to get up and ask for everything we needed irritated the heck out of me. the last straw was me getting up to find our server for the bill. i walked through the entire restaurant never to find one sebago employee. i hate having to wait to pay. during this whole experience, we watched a manageresque type person not even notice us. staff your restaurant sebago.

appetizer decent - soft pretzels with honey mustard dipping sauce. Meals were all disgusting. Had to send mac and cheese back to kitchen because it had coagulated into tiny curds of crud. Steak tips were dry and gray and inedible. Burger was tasteless and desiccated. and bill for lunch for 4 came to $70. Total rip off.

Great pizzas but a tad expensive. Worth the price though. Atmosphere was nice and service was fine. Beer is the best in the area. Much better in my opinion than federal Jack's. Bass ackwards blueberry ale was especially great. Would definitely go back. Love the beer and the wood fired oven!

Good beer, but inconsistent food quality. Ordered the pizza and salads on a Friday it was great and we couldn't wait to come back to try it again, came back the next Tuesday and ordered the pizza and salads again that was a mistake, not good this time. I wanted to give this place a better review, but with the inconsistent food quality three stars is the best I can give.

Two of us walked into Sebago at 7:30 on a Wednesday night. We waited a couple minutes for the hostess to show up and when she did we opted for the bar area at a table. We got water right away, but made the fatal error of not ordering something right off the bat. Prepared to order beer, appetizers, and entrees, we sat for 15 minutes (literally) with no sign of a server. We were already dubious of the very random menu items, but the wait was unreal. Leaving was extremely easy as there were no servers or hostess to be found. We made our best decision of the night by trying out Pedro's in Kennebunk - that was an awesome meal with impeccable service!

The bar tender here on Fri/Sat nights is the best ever!!! She is so cool and fun :) After 10pm the brews are 2 bucks each and apps are 4.00 each. Very chill and cool way to relax.
