Went there with a group of friends because everyone was craving for their soup. The service in that place can be hit or miss. Last time that we were there, the waitress seem to be so impatient and definitely did not seem too friendly.

It's an Olive Garden people! A high school attempt at Italian in America. The funny thing is that Canadians flock here because they don't have one in their country and we have so many of them they make Chef Boyardee look like a competitor in a can. What they need is a serious redo on their bread (bread sticks they're not) and enhance that plain salad.

Good service, terrible meal. The quality of the food is disgusting and the prices keep going up. My husband and I ate there this evening and we won't be returning. We have eaten at Olive Gardens from Florida to Maine for over 20 years. The Bangor restaurant was practically empty and now i know why. Sorry to see another restaurant bite the dust but it is only a matter of time.

Always delicious food, but watch out for salt level!!! Fast service, attentive service staff, most of the time quick service. Nice mint chocolate as a bonus treat at the end if the meal. No more mixed grill dish on the menu:( Don't try the new kiwi melon lemonade, its sooooo tasteless. No kiwi, no lemon, just a very little toucg of melon. Don't try the strawberry lemonade, it is too sweet...

Great food, but the service here tends to be hit or miss. We've been here many times when the place has been absolutely jammed and have gotten some of the best service ever. However, we came here today, on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was almost empty and it took a good 10-15 minutes before our waitress even came to our table after we had been seated and the service was extremely slow. We didn't even get refills on our drinks because she never came back until the end of our meal to bring us our check. However, the food here is consistently awesome and you can't beat their salad and breadsticks. If their service was more consistent, I'd give them 4 or 5 stars, but because of our experience today and the inattentiveness of our waitress, I'm only giving them 3.

Have eaten here a few times. The food is consistent from trip to trip. It's your basic Olive Garden. I've always found that this chain has a great value for your money. The breadsticks and soup are very nice, as are most of the entrees i've tried. Service is usually great. If you are looking for Italian food, but don't want to risk trying an unknown place this is always a safe bet. The only time i've ever seen a line to get in here was on Mother's Day/Graduation Sunday.

First a reminder, I usually hope and expect any dining establishment to be good so I try to enter with a positive attitude about my visit, most of the time. I was not really excited about coming to Olive Garden but still gave it a try. Now I remember why. With that said, this was the third worst and semi-pricey meal at $110 for 4 + tip) and visit to a restaurant in recent memory. The good, the staff and the decor. It all goes down hill after that. Because it was Good Friday, a 45 minute wait was a bit long but expected. The table turn around and meal delivery was fairly fast which should have been a warning sign. Ate have of the bread stick as it was just unappetizing. No one really appreciated the Calimari even though I was so looking forward to it. My wife had the eggplant which clearly came out of a box and tasted as such, one bite and left all 3 pieces on the plate. I had a seafood combo of shrimp, clams, and scallops in a red sauce. Couldn't finish it and stomach still bothering me 4 hours later. Sauce was pasty and flat. No seafood (fresh ocean) taste to it. My son had the trout (ate only half) and again, left the pasta on the plate. My daughter had a Shrimp Alfredo which she thought was okay. Again, overall, putting this place down as a "bad night to remember" but it does reminds me of why I do not enjoy these TGIMcFunsters establishments that much. To say really disappointed, especially about the Egg Plant and Calimari is me trying to be nice. Should have stuck to the Angler Restaurant in Hampden instead, especially for Good Friday.

Very quick service for our party of 10. The two waitresses were completely professional and attentive. The food came out pretty quickly and as per the norm at Olive Garden it was great.

As always book ahead by phone on the wait time - save you from standing around with all the walk -ins . They do not take reservations - only call ahead method , tell them you are coming and they can give a approximate time on a table. I like the meals, you get great meals overall . After all its the Olive Garden The meals there are worth it - service was lacking - I think bringing the bill while we are still waiting for our meal is just not great service.

I decided to treat the family to a nice dinner. I had never been to this particular Olive Garden, so I thought I would give it a try. The wait was an hour long with no place to sit. Several people came in after us and were seated first. I can excuse this as reservations. However a party of 16 came in after us that did not have a reservation and because they knew someone there was able to get seated. When we were finally seated we had a very nice waitress. She is the only thing pleasant about the experience. The food is overpriced for what it is. I will not be going there again.

A slightly above average Chain restaurant. The food is always okay, but it is certainly not really good or great Italian food. The menu features good chain restaurant formula food, but not as good as Carrabba's Italian Grill, a chain owned by the Outback folks. Too bad the standard for great Italian in the Bangor area has such a low bar. Several really excellent Italian restaurants have failed in Bangor in the last 20 twenty years because of pricing in an area where inexpensive equates with top notch. Fortunately there are now several new locally owned Italian restaurants in Bangor now, but the prices there will definitely be a reflection of the cost of finer fare.

We've been going for years and have always had great service and enjoyed the food. The wait can be long, though.

Goes to show when a chain does things well how nice it can be. Not everything I've ever had I liked there, but it's consistent which has it's benefits! Professional service, I don't have to here the servers exploits from the day before.

Holy salt batman! MSG-land, here we come! I really had to use salad to cut the salt in the whole meal. Who doesn't serve pepsi in Maine? Olive Garden. The "chicken spinach gnocci" soup was good, if not as thick as I imagined. Our waitress was pretty good and even split the check 5 ways without complaint.

The Olive Garden here is consistent with the others in the chain, meaning fresh salad with free refills, garlicy breadsticks, and pretty good veg options for pasta. This time I tried the portobello ravioli, but had it with marinara sauce instead of the smoky mozarella sauce that came with it. I do appreciate the option of personalizing, as I want to stay away from the cream sauces when I can. But if you like wine, stay away from their house red: very acidy taste, and from an open bottle in the dining room area.

So good. The food is always delicious and the service is always great. I love that you can get takeout for those Friday nights when you want some OG, but don't feel like waiting for 45 minutes in line.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
