Yet another "it is what it is" sort of place, emphasized by the homemade signs that are rife with spelling errors (bacan!) and over-apostrophication. Stewart's is open only during the summer months, and pays tribute to its roots by hosting car shows on a regular basis. This is NOT the place to go for a healthy meal! Hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, and a number of sandwich items comprise the menu. The quantity of hot dog options highlights its status as a hot dog, burger, and ice cream joint. And they have Stewart's sodas, of course, including regular and diet root beer and cream soda. I opted for two chili dogs, forgetting that the last time I was there - and I make it a once a year sorta thing - I was disappointed that the "chili" is pretty much lightly seasoned ground beef. My two dogs were much better after I scraped off the beefstuff. The prices are relatively cheap, though not Farm Store - Seven Eleven special cheap. Service is prompt and old school, and the clientele is varied, with what seems like a good representation of regulars.

We stopped here thinking we would get a blast from the past...but not so much. The rootbeer was super low on syrup and the chili hot dog made me nauseous. It tasted very low grade. Don't come here if you're expecting a cool experience or a decent cheap meal. It's kinda gross, to be honest...which was a letdown.

This place is really more like 3.5 stars but I wanted to balance out the other guy's 1-star rating. This place makes you feel nostalgic...it definitely shows its age. I feel like it spawned out of the Elvis age and post-White Castle/Little Tavern burger age. The food is different and edible. And although, I won't say that its the best that I ever had, I would return once in a while to eat their dogs and steamburgers because its not your average taste--plus the rootbeer floats and the rootbeer itself. If you want to blast back to the past and enjoy some not-so-fast food fast food that tastes like it didn't come out of a microwave...Give Stewarts a try!

I like this place. It has hotdogs and Stewarts rootbeer. The food consists mostly of hotdgs dries and soup. I had the polish with onions mustard and chili. It was great. The cup of chili i got with it was lackluster. Soupy and not the chunky chili that I prefer. This place should get a 3 or 3.5 stars but the cream soda pushes it to a 4. So GOOD.

This is the epitome of greasy spoon dining. I could smell the burning oil in the deep fryer the moment I entered. While the milkshake was good, the place was so dirty that I really couldn't enjoy it. They even had the nerve to serve my French fries in a Maxwell House coffee cup. This is a real embarrassment to the Stewart's Root Beer name. If you want to try this place, just note that it is closed from around Labor Day to about March.

Great food and awesome drinks. I had the cheesesteak and a cream soda, loved it!
