Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Good food. Excellent service!!!! We found this place looking for a bite to eat after work. We ordered New Yorker Pizza, wings, and salad. It was prepared quickly and served hot and delicious. Definitely will be back to try the pasta and subs.

Moved to the area and this has been our go to location. Good customer service and large portions justifies the higher prices on the food.

Best place for pizza in laurel. Kills papa johns, Pizza Hut, dominos. The usual suspects...the dough is good, and that's what makes a pizza for me. Always has a deal, just have to ask, and they are cool about it. Their website sucks though. But the pizza is awesome, at least for me.

Dissapointed!! Came here for a pizza craving and because of good reviews on yelp but I just wasted $10! I bought a large 1 topping pizza for $9.99. The carry out special. Now I picked this up pipin hot and it was still not good. I can't imagine how I would be delivered and cold. The crust is thin like I like it but it's too chewy. There is very little sauce and minimal cheese. It's like cheesy bread but not cheesy. When it started to cool it tasted hard as a rock! First and last time for me.

First: the name on here is "Pizza Time", but the restaurant is Pizza Prime Time" on GrubHub and their own sites. BLUF: Subs are good, delivery guys are awesome and respectful. I found this place while trolling for a new place to eat. I was craving a steak and cheese sub, and this was one of the last places that delivered that I hadn't tried yet. I was expecting a mediocre sub, but, was surprised. It reminded me of a good little sub joint I used to go to growing up. I am a big "dinner and dessert" guy. There's something about a sweet treat to top off a meal. So, I usually will order a dessert when I get delivery, a treat of sorts. I was somewhat disappointed to find that the cheesecakes were just slices of frozen cheesecakes. A lot of "mom and pop" places I've been to have actually made their own (I know, high expectations). The sub was as expected. Delivered piping hot. Cooked well, not soggy. Pretty tasty. Was even good the next day when I had leftovers for lunch. That said, the "smaller" sub can easily make two meals, the large one lasted as dinner, late night snack and lunch the next day. I usually don't go out of my way to make note, but, the delivery guys here are awesome. Very nice folks, always on-point. Delivery is not the fastest, but, worth the wait. Definitely make sure to tip these guys!

This place is a kept secret from laurel. I just moved to the laurel area about 6 months ago and was looking for a good sub shop and came across Primetime Pizza. I ordered the steak & cheese and it was amazing. Get friendly staff and quick delivery.

Stopped in for a quick meal. 10 mins later I had my pizza. Brought it home for dinner for my boyfriend and I. We thought it was good. I would eat here again.

Excellent walk-in service. Cashier/cook was very personable and passionate. Pizza was very good and the fries were also tasty, though a touch salty. Great overall!

Cheese sticks: These were okay. They weren't very hot when they arrived. Should have been stored in one of those pizza thermal boxes or at least wrapped in foil. Small pepperoni pizza: Eh. It wasn't terrible. I'd order it again if I had to. Apple pie: PREPACKAGED SARAH LEE!!! I'm totally cool eat prepackaged stuff but let me know ahead of time. Perhaps their website discloses this, but I ordered from stub hub. I'll give them another try at some point in the future.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. Does not even deserve ones star. They never get the food right. Tonight we ordered through grubhub. I ordered a Chicken Cheesesteak with tomatoes, mayo and onions. They left off the tomatoes. When I called GrubHub and requested a refund, the restaurant claimed that they DID put tomatoes on it and refused to refund or replace the food. As you can see from the picture, there are NO tomatoes on this. They also forgot the Oreo cheesecake and refused to refund it. When I called to speak to a manager, he hung up on me. Don't order from this place. They're a bunch of lazy people who only want your money and don't care if your food is correct.

Good pizza. we ordered delivery and it got here within an hour. Sure do miss the 30 minutes or less days. The toppings were generous and the pizza was good. Hard for me to give a delivery place more than 3 stars. Compared to other pizza places it may get 4 but it is what it is...pizza. Hardly eat pizza unless it is gourmet but it was enjoyable.

One of the cool things about Laurel is all of the quote mom and pop type of places. Found this diamond in the rough while I was craving some non 7-11 pizza. Located right before the motel Valenzuela in a very small building. They have $2 cheese slices and $2.25 pepperoni slices. Now granted that could be considered a little pricey compared to other places, but the taste of the pizza is worth the 5 min drive on my lunch break. This is also one of the only places I know of in Laurel that sell by the slice. Place is due for a major upgrade. You walk in through a screen door that's older than me. Employees are always very polite and courteous went I stop by. They always offer plates and napkins. Bottom line pizza could be a little cheaper, but you can't always get what you want. Rolling stones pun intended!

  • Subha S.

Love it! The owners are great and there was just one time that there was too much cheese on my pizza however we have ordered there at least 5 or 6 times and that was our only complaint. Tastes like the best of Papa Johns and Domino's, (sauce is more comparable to Donato's) combined if you normally order from pizza chains. Otherwise, I would describe the sauce as being more robust rather than meaty and hearty (maybe they go easy on the oregano? I dunno much about Italian herbs so don't take my word for it!) , tastes like classic New York pizza sauce. Crust is wonderful, never overdone and chewy, thick enough to handle the toppings, thin enough to not feel like you are eating more crust that sauce and cheese.

I was super hungry I wasn't sure what to eat then I ask the Clark he recommend steak sub and once I ate it I bought another one. The Brad was melting in my mouth I will come over here, from now on.

Stopped in here for a quick bite based on the Yelp rating. This is a small hole-in-the-wall type of place that shouldn't be judged by how it looks! I went in a got a slice of pepperoni pizza and a soda for $3.75 for a quick lunch. The cheese was good and plentiful, the dough was good and the crust was nice and crispy on the outside with a soft inside. Definitely gonna stop in here again for my lunch pizza fix!

After seeing all of the great reviews for this place on Yelp I decided to go today, I ordered a Large pizza with extra pepperoni and extra cheese. I must say this pizza can go up against Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's any day and just might win! Other than Ledo Pizza this is my new favorite place.

    (5)
  • C D.

I am a Ledo's pizza lover! So since Ledo's does not deliver, you need a back-up. Searched yelp, and Pizza Time had great reviews. To be honest with you, I said no I will stick with what I know, Pappa John's. My gut said try something new, and I am so glad I did. Pizza was hot, toppings were fresh, and delivery was on time. What more can you ask for?

  • Diana H.

Would have given it a zero if that was an option. Called at 6:28 for pizza. Was told that it would be 45-50 minutes. Called back 1 hour later and was told that it would be less than 10 minutes. The store is 1/2 mile away. Over an hour and fifteen minutes later and still no pizza. How hard is it to make & deliver a pie? After an hour and a half I cancelled my order. They put me on hold for over 7 minutes to cancel too! Good luck getting ur food if you order from them.

I was driving around after 11 PM Monday evening looking for someplace to be open and grab a bite ... There were slim choices I will say, but then I saw an open sign as I was driving back to the motel ... The place is in an odd plaza and there is no place to sit and eat so its 100% take out and or delivery . I walked in and it wasnt much to look at .. I was greeted quickly and asked for a few moments while i looked at the paper menu .. Lots of specials and lots of choices for a nice little late night stop. I chose the wings and pizza deal and french fries on the side .. After watching the odd night life creep around the lot sneaking out of the adult store and or the massage parlor my order was done . Got salt pepper and ketchup to go and off to the room I went for the feast . Excellent pizza crust .. Not too much sauce and the cheese was excellent .I actually wish i had ordered extra cheese.. Chicken topping cooked right and the fries were really a nice plus .. Sooooo if you are looking for a late night snack and you are able to eat in hotel , motel , or car , then check them out .. Pizza , subs , pasta platters ..

This place is great for a slice or a whole pie. I have been working in Laurel for a litle over a year and Pizza Time has become a go to choice for company lunches. Delicious pizza and friendly staff make it an awesome Laurel staple.

Definitely my favorite pizza place growing up. Love the ham topping on the pizza especially. Nice people work there and if I still lived in the area I would be going back all the time.
