Pho Kevin Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Coming from Seattle which is full of amazing Vietnamese food, I'm incredibly impressed! My brother and I ordered a bowl of pho and the chicken wings. The wings were great. Tempura wings I'd call them. Came with the standard sweet chili sauce though, which was disappointing but they were great so whatever! The pho though! It comes out and the air is filled with the amazing scent of the broth. You can really smell the star anise. The plate of mung bean sprouts, basil, etc was all super fresh. Some places give you browned basil or soggy sprouts. Not here! The beef was super tender and tasty. Normally I go all broth and leave the noodles, but the broth seasoned the noodles so well I was eating them too! That broth is just so good. No bland pho broth here! I'm so happy to have found Pho Kevin, and I'm sure my husband and I will be in often while were stationed out here. :)

How often do you get to eat at a restaurant with your name in it? They should've named this place Kevin's Pho :p We walked in and the smell was wonderful- like really authentic Vietnamese aroma. We were seated with our menus. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to come by and bring us our water which never got refilled during the meal. Even though there was like 4 other people dining there, the wait for everything was so long. I like to eat pretty things and today's presentation was anything but appealing. The egg rolls came with like 3 strings of carrots on a plain plate with no lettuce. I think they only put pork into the egg rolls with very little mushrooms etc etc that are suppose to be inside. The pork was overwhelming. The raw meat that came out did not look fresh at all. Pho is all about the broth and at Pho Kevin the broth was off. It was bland and not very flavorful. It's like it was diluted with water. After seeing all the good reviews about this place- it's sad to say that I've had much much better.

I didn't want to give this place 3 stars, but it didn't deserve 4 stars because that's how I rated other pho places in Maryland (Catonsville and Rockville) that were better. This place is good for being located in Laurel. The pho tastes just like pho, however the cuts of beef in the soup are a little lacking. A little variety among the meats would be nice. Additionally, it felt like they kind of skimped on the amount/volume of ingredients in the soup. I know inflation happened, but still... Other places in the area give patrons a ton of food in the soup (or they use smaller bowls). I also had the banh mi here. It tasted alright, but was a pretty simplistic banh mi, lacking much of the nuances of other variants of banh mi that I've had. No spiciness of jalepeno, no earthy pate, very weak pickled taste from the pickled carrots.

4 stars bc I'll be back to try the Pho and Ba Mein? Sandwiches. Tue afternoon. Not crowded. No lunch specials. Food came out quickly. $10.95 for shrimp noodle bowl that included an egg roll. Lots of flavor. 4 large shrimps and Pickeled something was really good. I'm stuffed. Fairly large menu with lots of Boba and drinks to choose from. Good job Pho Kevin. Good job.

SO GOOD THAT MY HUSBAND GRABBED HIS TO GO BAG OF BUN CHA GIO GA NUONG AND STARTED WALKING OUT THE DOOR WITHOUT OUR BABY. HAHAHHAHA. We have been here at least once a week (sometimes as much as three times a week, we have a problem). It gets better every time. The people are awesome. The food is authentic. It reminds me of home (Southern California). We tried more on the menu and we can vouch for the pho, bun, and rice dishes. The thai tea is brewed and so good -- because everywhere in the area serves thai tea from some powder concoction. The boba/bubbles are fresh, not hard like other places in the area. Cafe sua da is great. Spring rolls are fresh. (Other places pre make and refrigerate and the wrapping gets hard... NOT here!) Sometimes I just order two orders and I am good for the rest of the meal. This is by far... The best we've had since we moved to Maryland. And, we've tried a lot of Vietnamese food... so glad we can stop looking.

The best pho I've ever had. I've tried a handful of other places in the area, but I always come back to Pho Kevin! The food and service is incredible. I've only had the pho so I can't speak on the rest of the menu. The bubble tea is pretty good too!

It makes sense that this place used to be a Chinese restaurant, the decor is super Chinese. My mom and I came here for an early dinner, mom got the chicken vermicelli without egg rolls and I got the #6 pho. Both were pretty good and the staff were all really friendly. Ordered a Thai tea on my way out and wish I had ordered twoo. So unfortunate that this place is so far from my home, I will be back for your Thai tea :)

Came here mid week and there was no other customers which was a bit concerning. We decided to try it anyway and we were not disappointed. The service was good and the food was prepared quickly (which was expected since no one else was here). It was flavored well and not overbearing. The only downside is the restaurant decor is in need of being updated.

I ordered the Summer Rolls as an appetizer and they were so soft with just a perfect balance between the greens, noodles, and shrimp/pork. Going to other Vietnamese restaurants, they either have too much lettuce or too much noodles, but this was perfect. For my entree, I had the Pho Sate, which is pho with chili pepper in it. It was great, but after a while I got a little tired of the broth, but that's probably just me. One thing I can say for sure is that this is the hottest broth I have ever been served. Usually the broth chills very quickly after serving, but the broth stayed hot throughout my entire meal, YASSS. My mom ordered the Pork with Vermicelli, but she preferred the one from Pho Siagon better. I think I might have to agree on that one as well.

I am completely impressed with this place! The wait staff is amazingly friendly and fast. I order the Pho Sate and was very pleased! The chicken wings and shrimp rolls were delicious! I was pleased with my experience and I will definitely return. If your in the area I recommend that you give it a try.

I read an article in the Atlantic sometime ago on the movement of family owned and mostly foreign food-holes from city centers to suburban strip malls. Essentially, the piece postulates that due to the increase of real estate development in formerly urban spaces immigrant-small business owners are forced out to the more sparsely populated less trendy outskirts. Time and time again (New Jersey, Houston. DC) this has been demonstrated as a reality with Pho in particular. Pho Kevin (whats up with that name) has options (veggie, chix), sauces (chiles, hoison) and the rest. The service is subtle yet helpful. And above all the broth there is just sweet enough to counterpoint any spice you might add (I like chili flakes), slight acidic notes up front -- a salty reminder of sorts -- and has a nice round warm finish. You want to go to there

Ordered the #10, loved it, the broth was perfect. Served with plenty of noddles even for the regular size. The restaurant was empty, and the carpet was pretty filthy. I would go back for the soup but will not dine in again.

My family and I are regulars. I'm originally from northern VA, where its basically Asian central. And good authentic Vietnamese food is everywhere. I'm just so happy pho Kevin opened, and I don't have to drive all the way to falls church (Eden) for good Viet food. It's like I found a gem in laurel, because all the other Pho spots around here.... Suck!

WORST SERVICE/RUDE MANAGEMENT/MEDIOCRE FOOD. I came here around 7pm on a Friday with 2 other people. There were about 10-15 people and only 2 employees. One girl just serving water, and 1 man (I think the owner or manager) was taking orders and bringing food. We had to be somewhere before 9, and didn't think time would be a problem. Because since when does a pho place take 2 hours to bring you a couple drinks and food.... WRONG. It took 15 minutes to take our drink order. It took FOURTY-FIVE minutes to bring the drinks out. Once the food was ordered, it took forever to get it. Every. Single. Order was wrong. When they finally brought out new food, my friend's order was covered peanuts when nowhere on the menu were peanuts listed. At this point we would have sucked it up if she wasn't extremely allergic. When I told him this, the jerk smirked. We were running out of time so decided to just leave after eating a little bit. I heard someone near me complaining about what it would take to get check in this place, so I decided to just go to the register. He told me $45 without printing out a receipt. I asked to see one and he responded "I am not trying to scam you". It's funny, because the entire experience was a scam. DO NOT go here. The food is mediocre and not worth the staff/service. If someone had just once apologized or been friendly I wouldn't be here. But that apology would have probably taken another 2 hours to arrive....

So far, everything I have tried here has been fantastic! The staff are fast, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend, well, just about everything. I'm particularly fond of the coconut water as a dessert. Appetizers, Pho, and rice or noodle dishes are all spectacular!

Excellent Food, excellent service! Pho Kevin has become our favorite Pho in town. The menu has more options than just soup, and everything on the menu looks worth trying. We'll definitely be back! I hope to see you there!!

Just ok. Feels like a dirty dingy Chinese restaurant.. The heater was not on or barely on.. I had to eat with my jacket on. I ordered bbh which was pretty good. Bf ordered pho sate. So... As we eat and add the sate sauce.... I see a hair in my sate sauce. Greeeeeeeat. Not coming back. Im on a spree of bad restaurant Gahhhhh! Late review for a lunch in dec 2014.

Pho is very good, it is true pho, we like it very much but banh mi should not be on the menu. Banh mi is all about hollow crusty baguette, they use American sub soft roll

Pho Kevin Rocks!! I found this place because I was craving Pho and was 10 minutes too late to get it at Pho 89 down the street. I did not even realize there was a Pho place in the Shoppers Shopping Center (which is closer to home) so was very happy to find Pho Kevin, and that it was open after 8:30 pm - I haven't been back to Pho 89 since. Pho Kevin - the owner "Kevin" is super nice and his family and staff are always really friendly and courteous. I usually order take out - the Pho is good, not the very best I have ever had (just got it tonight and needed more noodles, but very good). I really love the spring rolls and pork and vermicelli noodles (which makes a great next day lunch or dinner). I need to branch out and try some other dishes - but definitely, this is my new favorite place for Take-out!

I believe that Vietnamese food is one of the most diverse dishes to pick from. The mixes of ingredients are health-conscious and solely based on flavoring and technique. Pho is a tasty amazing little entrée, especially when served by Kevin and his Mother. Their Pho (only entrée I have had the pleasure to enjoy/order here) is made with fresh herbs and healthy greens, delicate broth and artfully composed meats. The noodles where cut at a flawless length and their width fit perfectly between chopsticks. Pho can be made with chicken, beef, pork or shrimp (I tend to stay away from ordering Pork since watching specific episodes of HOUSE has prevented me from doing so). Kevin is a great host and takes the time to meet with every person as well as helping them pick out their order. Once he heard that I liked spicy he took away the Siracha sauce and said "Don't use. I have something for you." When my Pho entrée came out there was a small dish of freshly cut red peppers and herb sauce that he placed on the side, just for me =) I would say that I am impressed with the way that he took an old dirty Chinese Restaurant and remodeled the area into a clean and (a bit more) modern looking.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Got the summer rolls and two bowls of chicken pho. The Pho broth has great flavor! I also got an iced coffee. Yum! We would eat here again if we were passing through.

Pho Kevin specialize in Vietnamese Pho but my favorite dish is Grilled Pork with rice here. The Pork was so tender and tasty and the fish sauce they serve with rice plate was just so right and taste so good. The restaurant is simply decorated but look very nice and the employees know how to take care of their customers...

With only two reviews, I want to be as fair as I can. First off, our waiter couldn't be nicer, more attentive, friendly. Really first class. The restaurant has kept some of the furniture from the previous tenant, and it looks better than some Pho build outs I've seen. Kevin the owner came out to say Hi. Nice guy. We even checked out the remodeled bathrooms. Big plus here- modern, clean, with neat tile, and a great XLerator hand air dryer that actually works! To compare it with my favorite- Pho Saigon in South Laurel? It's tough to do. The big bowl of Tai I got has about the same amount of meat, but has noticeably less noodle. And the taste seems a bit blander than Saigon. The win goes to Saigon. But the presentation that Kevin does, well, it's really nice. It shows he cares about your dining experience(see my photo). So that win goes to Kevin. Prices are about the same. Kevin's physical menu is better- more restaurant-y, less Pho-y. He gives free refills in the Cokes. But the flavor is so important. I'm calling it. It's a tie!!!! Next time, I'll try my favorite- BBQ pol with rice and cucumber. Maybe that'll sway me.

I love this place. No frills. Just great Pho. I always get the Chicken Pho and add in the brown sauce and siracha! The broth is super flavorful. Vegetables are always fresh. They recently added Bahn Mi's that are soooooo delicious. I have only gotten the pork. This is the only place I can sit and have dinner alone and not wonder if people think I'm lonely. Judge all you want...lol...best on rainy days, cold days, heck everyday. I would give them a 5 but sometimes there is a little wait on your food and its always super cold. However, dont take a long wait on food as an indication that they are not attentive because they are...

I've picked up carry out here a few times times out of convenience.. The Good: -Always good to have another vietnamese food option around town -Good service -Has Bun Bo Hue, good portions, not bad either (no pork blood tho) -Pho was decent, not the best but not bad. The Bad: -Bun Bo Hue has no pork blood -HORRIBLE banhmi (pretty much killed their rating for me b/c of how egregious the offense)... no fresh baked baguette. They use store bought sub rolls, blegh, and deli ham instead of more traditional Vietnamese cold cuts, such as sliced pork or pork bellies, ch la (pork sausage), head cheese etc. NO liver pâté, not even a drop in the sandwich, instead a ton of mayo.

The area is saturated with pho restaurants but this one's my favorite to date. The best bun bo hue, with a truly spicy, lemongrass broth. And the bahn mi are the cheapest around though I've not tried them yet.

Pretty good pho. Smaller portions than you see in some other pho places but still enough for me. A lot of seating. Friendly staff and military gets 10% discount.

I stopped pass Pho Kevin yesterday to grab a mango bubble smoothie and Thai iced tea with bubbles and it took FOREVER!! There were a total of 5 tables being occupied but had about the same amount of dirty tables. I couldn't understand because the place was far from crowded. Clean the tables! It took approximately 20 minutes to fix two simple drinks. To put it in perspective we ordered a deep dish pizza from Little Cesar's just before walking down to Pho Kevin and ordering our drinks. The pizza was done and getting cold by the time our drinks were ready. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I finally took a sip of my long awaited bubble smoothie to find that it tasted like fish. Not sure how/why a bubble smoothie would taste like cod liver oil was poured into it, but it was disgusting! Needless to say I will NEVER visit this place again. Horrible first impression. Will drive 20 minutes to College Park to Ten Ren Tea Time.

Drive as far as you need to to get here! This is the best pho we have found in the area, including Columbia! Great prices, great portions, friendly staff. The #4 Pho is incredible! ENJOY!

Kevin quickly and happily greeted us. He seemed so excited that we, the hubby and I, visited his restaurant. What used to occupy this space before, was dim oriental restaurant. The very bright chandelier in the middle of the restaurant, made the place seem much more inviting. Not much else was done to the restaurant and even the buffet partition was still there. The broth for my pho soup with meatballs was not overwhelming, but flavorful and was accompanied by fresh sprouts, jalapeno slices, thai basil and lime. We also ordered the grilled pork banh mi and fried chicken appetizer. The water glasses are a bit small. Between Kevin and the older lady, they were running laps near our table, to refill our glasses. Kevin did seem to get his exercise in this evening, for besides him and the other lady, there was no other help in sight. Kevin at the register; Kevin getting us our water: Kevin bagging up a carry out order; Kevin seating people. I was exhausted just watching him. The hubby's diet coke was fizzless. Kevin went to put more carbonation in it, but it still tasted flat. My first bite into my banh mi tickled my taste buds, with the cilantro and pickled veggies. My second bite, made my eyes water. What's in this thing? I asked the older lady if there was something spicy in my sandwich. She said no. Third and fourth bites packed a nauseating punch for me. Ah ha, the culprit was slender slices of jalapeno. Yeah, I'd call that kinda spicy. Going back to the soup and forgive me for jumping around some. Like I said prior, the broth was nice, but what's with the spongy meatball halves? The meat's texture was pressed, something I'm not used to. I was anticipating a ground beef kinda meatball, not this spongy thing in my soup.

I eat Pho weekly and I just moved to the area and I'm super exited I found this place. The egg rolls were one of the best I've had and if you want spicy pho this is the place to go! I will be returning. They do carry out as well.

  • John C.

One of the better Pho restaurants on Laurel. The staff are always so nice and attentive. The Pho is top notch and bit very expensive. The summer rolls are very fresh and clean tasting. I always take friends here for their first bowl of Pho. Whether you're going to dine in our carry out, Pho Kevin always seems to get it right. They also offer a 10% military discount as well.

I love this place. It's never crowded and serves great food. I have tried their pho noodles, fried rice, pork with rice, and desserts and I enjoyed all of them. I would especially recommend the fried rice and pork with rice; they were simply delicious. The dessert was tasty; I got the 3 color thing and it was fine. Weird texture at first but it gets better. It was my first time trying a Vietnamese dessert and I enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and the prices are great. The place is quite so it is a good place for dates and conversations. It is spacious and can work for groups. I am definitely coming back and often too and would recommend this place.

Best pho in Laurel and I've had them all . Meat was fresh tasting unlike other places I've been too before. Also have other menu items besides pho that I can't wait to try

This place is great, got a traditional Vietnamese sandwich the grilled beef, $3.50 and a regular bowl of Pho. Really good and fresh and not salty. Place is super clean and well lit staff is very nice and friendly. Hope they give Pho98 a good run for their money.

Pho Kevin is the most consistent and reliable place I have frequented in the area for pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). The price is reasonable $7-$10 for a large bowl with plenty of selections of meats and seafood for the soup. The basil, bean sprouts, and lime are always fresh. Their Vietnamese coffees and teas are perfectly done, and the smoothies and boba are are a great way to finish the meal. The staff is family, and always in a good mood and smiling.

My family and I try and come to Pho Kevin once a week. The service is always wonderful and the server is always very kind to my 2 year old daughter. The sandwiches are very good and the pho is great. My daughter really loves the meatballs. I love the fine rice noodles with chicken. It's amazing! The summer rolls are also great. We also love the smoothies!

  • Jerry S.

The decor hasn't changed much from the Chinese restaurant that previously occupied the space. Pretty good pho, nice aroma, well seasoned broth, plenty of noodles and beef. Friendly, quick service. My one gripe is that one tea bag is not enough for the hefty pot. Solid 4 ****. Will be back to try the banh mi.

I always go to Pho kevin because they have amazing food. I LOVE the authentic vietnamese pho and i also LOVE the smothies there. The workers there are very freindly. You should come to pho kevin

Average quality Vietnamese food. Nothing stellar; menu items are standard fare. The pho dac biet has a nice broth, but I've had better. The vermicelli noodle bowls with BBQ pork and egg roll are decent. The portions seem very 'controlled'...meaning don't expect to walk away with leftovers. The restaurant is clean and nicer than some other Vietnamese restaurants in the vicinity. The service is a little slow and they tend to forget some things if you order a lot of food. I will say that their smoothies/boba selections are great! The avocado and mango ones are my favorite!

  • Amanda B.

By all accounts an excellent Pho place. Unfortunately that's all I tried so that's all I'm rating as far as food goes. The pho had plenty of good meat, tons of noodles (maybe too many for some) and the broth was hearty. Personally I would have preferred more broth, and maybe an option for a large or small size bowl, neither of those complaints warranted less than 5 stars though. The Thai iced tea with boba was tasty as well but a bit heavy on the ice. Would definitely come again though if I'm in the area. Service was quick, friendly and attentive.

I have been to Pho Kevin twice and both times were pleasurable experiences. I'm new to pho so I went with my Vietnamese friend to check the place out. He said "it reminds me of my moms pho." So it sounds like a winnahhhh! Service: The staff was very friendly and observant. A little lacking with the English skills, but I was able to communicate just fine. Food: yum! Very tasty and flavorful. Decor: nothing fancy, but I'm not going for the decorations. If I want decor, I'll go to Pier 1 lol. Price: very reasonable. I felt like I got a good value for what I paid. Overall: I really like this place. Friendly staff, great food... what more can I ask for?!

Having recently moved from Laurel to Frederick, I really miss this place. I will happily make the hour long drive to come back when I am able. The Pho is tasty, hot, and the servings are generous. The service is attentive but not intrusive. This is where I take friends when I want to introduce them to Pho and make sure they are going to love it.

Coming from SoCal and having tons of Vietnamese restaurants to choose from - this place was OK. My son loved his grilled BBQ pork. I had the rare pho - broth lacked flavor so, I needed to add all of the condiments to tastify my tastebuds. I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls but, they only came with shrimp but, the older lady was kind enough to bring me another one with pork added to it this time. However, the younger server didn't understand english very well and my son specially asked for NO boba in his drink and of course it came WITH boba. I would just repeat your order several times to the younger waitress to make sure you get the proper items.

So happy we found this place! I loved the pho. I had the steak and brisket pho while my hubby tried the chicken, both were very flavorful. We ordered chicken fried rice for our daughter and it was also delicious. We ended up polishing off a good amount of rice too. I loved the addition of bean sprouts to the rice. It gave it a pleasant little crunch. The service was fast and workers were very nice. We will definitely make this a regular place now!

The food was excellent and displayed beautifully - lots of flavor served hot. The waitress was very attentive and polite. A clean restaurant and comfortable booths. We had appetizers, main dish and desserts and made an afternoon of it. I'm looking forward to going back.

I just had a bowl of special pho and a Vietnamese ice coffee. You can't go wrong with this combination. The bowl of pho has plenty of meat and very tasty and the iced coffee just perfect. They're both delicious. My friend loves her grilled pork vermicelli. She never had fish sauce before but she really likes it. This is our favorite lunch place now!

A friend's order one day was Pho Tai, or Rare Eye Round Steak Noodle Soup. The bowl was filled with a slightly murky soup surrounding a mound of rice noodles and topped with slices of raw lean beef, thin enough to be gently cooked by the piping hot broth. Having a sip of the liquid, I could taste the use of cinnamon and star-anise in the broth, as well as the use of beef bones causing the pieces to lend its marrow goodness and depth of flavor. My Vietnamese friend gave his approval with this bowlful as he thought that it was up to scratch. My order on that day was Bun Bo Hue. It is a Spicy Beef Noodle with various "pieces" of uhm, meat and etc. The noodle was the proper kind, being the round thicker version not found with the regular noodle soup, moistened by a beefy soup made spicy with whole dried red chilis. What makes this dish unique is the use of "off-cuts" in the dish: skin, tendon, knuckle, and other unrecognizable pieces. Unfortunately, the traditional use of congealed blood was not served which was a bit of a disappointment for this diner who doesn't mind that funky bite. The customary serving of the slightly fishy shrimp paste and a dollop of dried chili paste added to the unique experience, along with a plateful of chopped cabbage, fragrant Vietnamese mint (Rau Ran), and a slice of lime that added some crunch and citrus kick. I have not found many Pho places serving this unique spicy bowl, and I'm glad that this is close to my house. To read rest of review and view photos, check out my blog at Wongeats.

My husband and I met friends here and it was great! The service was excellent, food was tasty, drinks continually refilled.. Lee was a great waiter. We really liked the spoons that kept it from falling in the pho! Yummy and highly recommended. Go there!

After a delayed flight and a rainy arrival to BWI, we were starving and craving pho. There was too much traffic to make it back home, and not too many promising places listed on yelp that were less than 20 min away. The fresh spring rolls were good, but it's hard to mess those up. Cha gio is normally my favorite, but it was lacking. We also each ordered a bowl of pho- the broth was bland and they ordered us large bowls although we both wanted regular. Other than the mix up in size which was a minor annoyance and extra cost, the service was very nice. Free refills on the soda. This was the first time we have ever had any real attention at a pho restaurant. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably endure the traffic to hit up my favorite place in nova. It satisfied my hunger, but not my craving.

Food was ok. Not great. Small portions. Watch out for the $1 "to go " fee they charge people without knowing. they should at least let customers know before adding additional fees to the bill. Would not go back

I tried the Pho Ga (chicken) today and the meal was just average. I ordered the large size and the amount of chicken they gave me was smaller than a handful. Even the vegetables were very small amounts. Very disappointing. I also was missing the sauces that you normally get with Pho like sriracha sauce. The overall taste was just bland and I most likely won't be returning here. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly.

PHO was borderline (have to eat there again and I did @ 2-14-2014) I can't make a decision AT FIRST if its good or so so.. not so good.....Second try was OK but did not " Wow" me. I don't really know what would "wow" me in PHO ? Ambiance was very oriental and nostalgia of the "Chung King" Chinese restaurant beside SHOPPERS yet newly painted. The place is very nice and cozy. Service was pleasant, courteous and fast . Seems like the soup was lacking in flavor and some aroma yet its was aromatic but missing some key notes.. There are not many good PHO places in this part of town. I hope this restaurant will have a steady soup recipe and not be a daily hit or miss soup consistency. Seems like it lacked star anise, maybe cinnamon or meaty flavor..... I ate around 730 pm..unless the soup was watered down ??? Yeah that's how it tasted. sigh Great location after eating stroll to TJMAXX, PIER 1 or SHoPPer 's. Great location for me . How will I beat this place ?

I loved their grilled pork and rice dishes. They're so tasty, especially the meat. I wishes they gave more meat though...

SLOW and a bit pricy. The flavors were ok but I've never had to wait so long for pho before. When i walked in i was standing around for a couple minutes before somebody came out from the back. I prefer An Loi in columbia over this place.

Great little hidden gem in Laurel. I had the Pho Dac Biet which is basically everything including tripe. It doesn't seem like they use any MSG. If they do then it's very little because I _didn't_ walk away super thirsty with a slight headache and feeling bloated. If you've eaten at Pho 75 in Arlington, Va - I think Pho Kevin's pho is better because I think Pho 75 uses a lot of MSG. I know most people use MSG in pho, but you don't have to. The best pho ever (very biased) is still made by my parents who don't use any MSG and it still is full of vibrant flavors and Pho Kevin comes close to how my parents' pho taste. They are also better than Pho 14 in DC who uses too much cinnamon to compensate for lack of flavor. Only critique is that they need to add a little more cilantro. But they get As on the following: broth was very hot, fresh meat, flavorful broth, weren't frugal with the Thai basil or jalapeño, a good portion of noodles with right broth to noodle ratio which is super important, and last but not least, they weren't annoyed by me asking them if they could cook my bean sprouts. Raw bean sprouts change the flavor of the broth too much. I think what makes Pho Kevin the best from any pho place that I've eaten at is that they're amazingly polite and friendly. They actually smile at you and don't give you the evil eye because you need a few more minutes to decide. I think you common Pho 75 goers know what I'm talking about. My wife had the chicken banh mi and liked it a lot. She said the ingredients tasted very fresh. She had Vietnamese ice coffee for the first time and loved it. So much that we went back the next day to just pick one up to go. We also had the summer rolls and egg rolls. Both were also good. The summer rolls could use some herbs, but I'm probably just used to my parents version. This was a nice find and we'll be back again. Don't be concerned if you come late in the evening and there aren't a lot of customers. Seems like they do well with carry out and pho is typically a breakfast dish. We're glad we stopped in to try it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Update: I've been back several times now and they've been consistently great and that's why I upgraded my review to five stars. Other dishes that are worth trying: pork or beef rice vermicelli noodles (bun), beef with rice, beef banh mi, combination fried rice and the beef with rice. Yeah, their beef dishes are very flavorful.

The BEST Pho/Vietnamese restaurant in the Fort Meade/Laurel area! I always search for Vietnamese restaurants everywhere I'm stationed and have tried 3-4 other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but after finding this gem, I won't go anywhere else. If you are new to pho (Vietnamese vermicelli noodle soup), try the pho tai (sliced eye of round steak). I also highly recommend the banh mi sandwiches (the grilled pork is my favorite).

I wanted to love this place but my rating is mixed. The food is phenomenal, with portions large enough for two to share, but service is really lacking. We arrived between lunch and dinner (eating on California time) and we were the only guests in the restaurant for most of our meal. When we arrived we were seated right away and given menus. Our server came right away and took our appetizer order, then returned with water and took our lunch order. Unfortunately, when the appetizers arrived, they were wrong. We had ordered vegetarian rolls and were served pork and shrimp rolls instead. The server apologized for the mistake and offered to let us keep the incorrect order while we waited for the replacement. We told him we didn't want meat and he argued with us, trying to convince vegetarians that meat was okay. Sigh. When the correct order finally arrived, we still didn't have any cutlery or plates to eat with and all of the serving staff had disappeared. Since it was just vegetable rolls, we ate with our hands. When we were done, a little girl (maybe 7 years old) finally brought us chopsticks. Our meals were delicious, although they were all delivered to the wrong people and since we couldn't tell which was which everybody had a dining adventure, not realizing until well into the meal that we were not eating the food we had ordered. After the meal, the staff made themselves scarce and we waited nearly 20 minutes before someone emerged to take the money for our meal. I never received a receipt nor an itemized list. The overall impression is of authentic Vietnamese food, but lacking any good customer service.

Nice designed restaurant, very warm and welcoming. The food taste delicious. Price is very good, too! We had 1 bowl of bun bo hue, 1 bowl of pho, summer rolls for appetizer, cafe sua da for drink and Che 3 mau for dessert. It was only $31.00. Wish there is a restaurant like this in Woodbridge, Va.

This place is AMAZING! The food is consistent in its greatness. The service is wonderful. And the prices are good prices for the food and quality of service. I am so happy that Pho Kevin decided to come to Laurel. Please stay here!!!

This restaurant has been my most favorite Vietnamese place so far. They have a variety of noodle dishes. I was happy with the taste and the quality of the food. Their summer rolls were great as well as their pho noodle soup. I would recommended this place for noodle lovers in this area.

The pho is decent. The crispy chicken wings are good. The grilled pork is sweet but not bad. The fried rice is a bit plain but overall not a bad place in a pinch.

I finally got around to writing a review! I love this place! So does my boyfriend. He would never suggest getting Pho... (Or want Pho more than once a month) Until we came here. Now we come here a few times a week. He loves this place and always get the Pho Tai with meat balls on the side. I always get the Beef Spicy Noodles when we dine in. For pick up orders I'd get the Banh Mi Cha (sandwich). I love that the smoothies are made with real fruit and not powder stuff like some places. And mainly... They have other dishes aside from Pho. And I live in Russett so they are just less than a minute away. Glad that they're in the neighborhood because we don't go anywhere else for Pho. Nowhere is as good as here. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
