I can't comment on the food for this visit, but I walked in to use the restroom before I ordered and when I opened the door, it looked like something out of a horror movie. The restrooms are nasty, nasty. Gnats, flies, and other bugs flying all around and crawling on the walls. If I didn't have to pee as bad as I did, I would have ran out! I went to tell the employees and the three standing by the register seemed less than interested when I brought it to their attention as both they and I were shooing bugs away from our faces and food. Gross location. I will never eat at this location again.

I generally like chipotle but this particular chipotle is not good, most of the times their rice is undercooked and the veggies are also not very fresh.

It's your run of the mill Chipotle. Food is always good because it's a franchise. But this one in particular has the slowest service EVER. Every visit is at least a 15-20 min wait in line. They also do not honor their online ordering. An online order is never ready when you show up and they make it when you show up, so don't order expecting to grab and go.

I like this location. Service is fast and friendly, however there is usually a pretty long line when I go- which is weeknights around 7-10. If you want to get the most of your chipotle order, get a burrito bowl with tortilla on side, extra rice, extra meat and you will be good to go for two people or lunch for tomorrow. Enjoy!

the staff is not friendly, I had Jessica make my order and she wasn't paying attention. she was rushing to get the line down. they had a order and she burned their food another co-worker told her to make it and she refused. I will never go back.

This is the greatest of all time location of Chipotle Mexican Grill. I hear that this location generates the most revenue in all of Montgomery County. The line is always long, but do not let this deter you. While you stand in line, there are many things to do. You can excitedly socialize with your friends and speak loudly so that everyone else can look at you. There are many hot girls to gawk at, too. On average, there are at least five stupid bad girls inside. We typically speak in code when talking about who is the baddest, and we judge each couple to determine if the guy or girl overachieved in the relationship. Or one can simply look into his or her phone and stare at bikini pics on Instagram. I recommend you do the former, i.e. put your phone away and check out the eye candy in person. Once we get to the counter, there are a wealth of options to choose from. Black or pinto beans? White or brown rice? I always get the vegetarian burrito. Ask for more guacamole, and you will receive. The employees here are very down-to-earth. They ought to receive a certification for efficiency. I have many fond memories of this Chipotle. I came here for Halloween in 2006. My friends and I wore aluminum foil on our heads, and we received free burritos! I think Drew was there. Another time I came here after my AP exams in 2008. That was the first day I ever went out for lunch while at Gaithersburg High. I ate with Suraj and K-Chod that day. I remained jealous of K-Chod because at that time he was dating Marissa, my high school crush of four years. Marissa is single now, but she has also become really fat.

Horrible!! Has to be the worse Chipotle in DMV. Lousy food&service. I write this after four or five consecutive bad experiences. Please patronize a Chipotle store elsewhere. Close this one down. You make it bad for the entire name/business/brand of the restaurant(s)...

Sooooo tasty! I got a chicken bowl on a Friday at 2pm and it wasn't a very long line (only about 3 people ahead of me). Only $7 for a big serving of food that lasted 2 days.

Chipotle is Chipotle. That much is true. It is usually packed and the lines are long. What makes this Chipotle bad? It is the cleanliness. It is one of the older stores that really needs a good scrub down. I have been to this place so many times during high school and my worst experience is going to Chipotle and getting a burrito bowl, sitting down, and flies circulating me. Really.....Not an exaggeration, but there were several flies flying around the table. It may have been the table or the person who sat there before, but I cannot fathom what happened to have that many flies at the table. I had to get up and throw my bowl away because flies were bombing my bowl. After that moment, I never went back and only go to newer stores.

I've been to tons of chipotles, most during times when the line is long. This chipotle doesn't seem to have a handle on things as much as others I've been to. Employees are very slow, the people don't listen to you and are always screwing up your order. The employees have a general 'I don't want to be here' attitude. They don't smile, and they they look down and don't talk to you while fulfilling your order. I'm giving it three stars because the food is still good, but the customer service is among the worse

What? This is a Chipotle? Of all the Chipotle's I've been to, this was clearly the worst. There was no real line, and yet, they just didn't listen to anything I said. "No dairy" means no cheese OR sour cream. I'm glad I'm just opposed to dairy on my otherwise delicious burritos, rather than intolerant. Speaking of usually delicious burritos...this was not one. I love the steak at Chipotle...it's always been a highlight, so of course, I ask for a double steak bowl. Well; I was happy to see that they were fairly generous with the steak (although not as much so as some of them...), but the steak was so overdone I may have well thrown some vaguely Tex-Mex seasoning on my car's tire and went to town on that. Maybe it's because I went "after" the lunch rush but I was not impressed. yet, I'll try it again, because this is the only Chipotle I've ever been to that I've had this experience, and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt

Chipotle is my far my favorite thing to eat, ever. I eat it 3-5 times a week. I just started a new job in Gaithersburg and have given this location 3 chances. It is absolutely horrible. They give you half of the normal portion size. I'm pretty sure their corn "salsa" is just plain corn. I kid you not I had under 10 pieces of chicken in my burrito bowl that I ordered online. It is a complete rip off and it saddens me to have to leave a negative review for my favorite food but this place is unacceptable and needs to be fixed ASAP.

You can never go wrong with Chipotle! The bowls are my fave!!... You can also get tacos or a burrito. The chips and guac, to die for!

Very great food. Good portions. The line tends to be very long, so go 30 minutes before you want your food. Very good at making online orders, always on time. I would recommend this location!

Really 2 1/2 stars. As others have said Chipotle is what it is. My granddaughter wanted her birthday dinner there--really? Tried to bow out but she gave us "the look" so we joined the party. Went around 6:00 on Wednesday and there wasn't a long line. There were a bunch of employees filling bowls and burritos so the line moved fast. The seating area was small, but most seemed to be doing carry-out, so we were able to get seating together for 5. The reason I bumped up to 3 stars is they have margaritas!?! We were sitting eating our meals and facing the menu board and daughter-in-law noticed margaritas listed. No idea what they taste like, I'd already settled in with my diet soda. Plus the place was so noisy and busy I'm not sure who would want to sit and "enjoy" a margarita. And they may (probably) were just bottled. Don't live in the area, and don't seek out Chipotle so probably won't be back, even for the margaritas.

delicious. Chipotle always hits the spot. The service is always fast here. Can't complain

  • Audrey K.

The burrito bowl portions are good, and the servers are nice. The seating is limited. In nice weather it's not bad because there's plenty of outdoor seating, but when it gets cold, plan on takeout, arriving during non-peak hours, or hit up Panera across the parking lot. The east side of the 270 corridor in g-burg could definitely use more Chipotle restaurants.

This location always has the longest line ever. No matter what time you come in here you will be waiting a minimum of 15 before you reach the first employee. Once you're there expect to get stared at like you're speaking a foreign language and not asking for a chicken burrito. I try to avoid this place at ALL COSTS!!!! Or just use the handy dandy Chipotle app and order ahead of time. The food is...eh Chipotle. They are consistent with the recipe and I have no compliants about it.

Chipotle - I tried emailing you vs. blasting you on Yelp but then I'd get an "invalid form" message. And YOU NEED TO HEAR this! Please make your employees use hairnets! I just picked up my chicken bowl and had to get back to work so I couldn't inspect my food until I got to the office. There was a huge strand of hair mixed in to my guac. I picked it out and ate my burrito (don't judge me!) because I can't ever throw away a burrito (people who do go to a special place in hell, I hear) and I don't have time to come back in to make a "formal complaint" but I just wanted to ask SOMEONE to please talk to employees and make them wear hairnets. My soul died a little at having to throw away some guac. :(

Still a bit of a wait (5min or so) but at least I did get food today. The chicken burrito was good and the service was sufficient.

*Rolls around with super preggo belly full of burrito and baby* ITS FLIPPIN AMAZEBALLS *pass out from food coma* This Chipotle is a pregnant woman's wet dream, I swear. The burritos are the size of freakin footballs and everything inside is sooooo yummy. I always get double steak and double cheese, pinto beans, that awesome awesome cilanto-lime rice, and guacamole. Sometimes they put too much onion in the guac but...oh well :/ still tastes good to me! :D The ladies that work the line work pretty fast. Its always majorly busy, with a consistent, forever-revolving line at or out the door, but I've never waited more than about 7-10 minutes from start to paying for my meal and leaving. They pile on the contents by the very generous spoonful, which makes me sure that I'm not wasting my $6.50 on a flimsy stick skinny burrito with nothing in it. *cough cough taco bell* The grumpy, picky, pregnant lady is very happy with this branch of Chipotle, so have no fear getting your tex mex on :)

I've seen rats and roaches in the bushes right outside during daylight!!!! ughhh thats extremely unsettling. I wonder what the restaurant is infested with? I always go to Kentlands or Shady Grove location but I came here once or twice before I saw that. Never again.

  • Liz N.

This place is super packed 5 mins after 12:30, so try to come a little before or after. If you're waiting by the door you'll get your food and sit down in 7 mins or less. The food is obviously standardized for all Chipotle therefor it's delicious. I hate the additional charge for guac, it's a little WAYY too much, but other than that, amazeballs as always.

Received an email offer for free samples of their new vegetarian dish and visited this location to get it. Showed the printed offer upfront, they say is ok, but after a long line till my order was placed, someone came giving me several excuses, some of which were against what is written in their own advertisement and rejected the offer. Great way to advertise a new product ! It wasn't even for free since I was going to pay for extra sides that were not included in the offer and yet came out empty handed from this place. So if you receive offers from this company, give it a second though cause you may actually get anything. Also if is lunch time and you are hungry, there are better options than this place. many others and much better.

I absolutely love Chipotle but I can't speak for the food or portion size at this location. I've tried going to this Chipotle multiple times and the line is always super long and slow!! I've waited ten minutes and the line just won't budge. I've been to many Chipotles with long lines and they usually go fairly fast. What's going on with this location?!

The food is horrid!!! Yuck!!!!! Omg I cant believe people go bat shit for this!!!!!! I ordered tacos with balboa meat (sp) the meat is horrible. Doesnt even taste like beef...It could have been venison or horse meat for all I know. The staff are cool. And give good service but it stops there. The food is horrible!!! the salsa!!! I know its not homemade. It lacks a lot of stuff!! tomatoes and onions doesnt cut it!!!!!! The dont know how to roll a burrito!!! One girl was struggling in folding her burrito that it rip!!! So back to my tacos. I got hard tacos. When I got home, they were soggy!!!! I was beyond mad. So usually, I grin it and bear it but not this time. I went back and asked for a new order. The employee was like they put too much stuff on the taco!! I felt like congratulating the rocket scientist for figuring out my utter dismay. So they remade it okay. This time they separated my salsa, guac and spicy sauce...Again the meat is horrible. Everything here lacks flavor!!!!! If you like water down version of Mexican food by all means spend your allowance here. Otherwise, make some time and go to Uncle Julios or Guapos. This is just nasty nasty. I gave a extra star to the genius employee for figuring out why I returned my tacos.

I was on my way back to the office and offered to pick up lunch for some of my colleagues. The consensus was Chipotle. This one was the location on the way. I placed my order from my mobile app (yes, I eat Chipotle a lot, maybe too much) so ordering was a breeze. I picked up the food 10 minutes later. A line had already started to form, but I was in and out easily. The cashier was super nice and even let me add onto the order, which other locations have actually told me I would need to wait in line or wait a certain amount of time. This woman didn't give me a hard time and was extremely nice. I was out in no time, and my colleagues were happy. The food was consistent with other locations. Parking is easy.

  • Andrew H.

I think this is the best chipotle I have ever been to. I want to give it 5 stars but the dining room is always full and hard to find a seat. That said parking is never an issue. That might sound like a bad thing but think about it...the fact it is busy means they are constantly preparing food and it is fresh. I really think this is the best chipotle I have been to since they actually give you an honest scoop of whatever you ask for.

  • Jill S.

I love Chipotle, and usually this location is pretty good, but it's really gone downhill lately. I almost always order a salad, and I have to regularly remind them that rice goes inside a salad. The customer shouldn't have to remind the employee what goes inside the product. It's right on the line, you do the same thing all day, and it's your job. It's not rocket science. What's worse is when you order online and get it home or to the office, only to find that your order is messed up. They really need to be better about checking things, and management needs to be more on top of training people the right way.

  • P K.

Chipotle has tasty food in my opinion. We like it. However, as a fast food place, food is less bad than other options, but prices are high for fast food. This place is usually very busy and you may have to stand in line for a while.

Yeah baby, it's my birthday! It's my birthday! It's my birthday! I asked (made) my husband cancel whatever beautiful, romantic, sweet dinner plans that he was making - to take me to Chipotle. What can I say, I'm a bit of an addict. AND as it was my birthday, I was going to get TWO, count them...TWO fully loaded burritos and not feel any guilt for gorging myself with enough calories to sustain a classroom of children for a month. Hey, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY. So, either you're a fan of Chipotle or you're not - so I won't get into the whole thing about the deliciousness of the lime and cilantro seasoned rice...or the crisp and crunchy tastiness of the fajita mixture...or how tender and delicious the meats are...or how spicy and rich in flavor the salsas are. But if you need me to break it down to you - just pull $6.50 out of your pocket and go to Chipotle and experience it yourself. Really. So, what makes this Chipotle worthy of a Yelp review (or basically, what makes this Chipotle unique)? Well, to start with, the ladies at this Chipotle gives a VERY generous scoop of that yummy lime and cilantro rice. Yum. THEN, when I ask them for more of the fajita mixture (I heart green peppers and onions), again, they give a VERY generous scoop. Sometimes, when I'm only ordering one burrito, I make them give me triple the fajita mixture, and the ladies don't even hesitate. They may judge, and they make be mocking me in Spanish - but they don't even pause as they load up my burrito with mixture. Again, super generous with the meats (for my double burrito birthday, I got one with steak and one with barbacoa). Actually, they are so generous with all of the portions, that my burritos are usually the size of a 2 month old baby. Oh yeaaaah. Also, as I like my salsa on the side (I don't want the burrito to get too wet), they will put extra salsa in a small container, and not charge me extra for it. I love these people. The slight unfortunate thing is that I have forgotten how *huge* the burritos from this Chipotle can be, so getting two may have been a tactical mistake. Oh, don't get me wrong...I still ate them both. Plus a pie (it was a vegan pie...so it doesn't count, right?). But man, at one point I looked like I was about to give birth to a burrito. So yeah...after my perfectly delicious and marvelous double burritos, my husband and I spent the rest of the night playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on DS. Shut up. It's my birthday, I can celebrate any way I want. Even if my way is lame and boring. :P

I'm sorry. I just can't get into Chipotle. I've tried. Give me the hollering idiots at Moe's anytime. I find the selection limited, the place always crowded, and the staff generally useless (I'm sick to death of having asked for a lil kiss of guac and getting a metric ton heaped on...actually, I think they charge extra for it now...). One star bonus cos I finally found a meat that isn't dog food like- The carnita is all right. So when my wife howls to go to Chipotle, I will eat a handful of carnita and drink some water.

I like Chipotle but this one is not that great. The food is bland. The one in Fairfax, VA, Hagerstown, MD, and Tyson corner is better.

It was ten pm and there was a long line. When I saw four older Hispanic-looking folks sitting and eating bowls of food, I figured it must be good. Waited in line for 10 minutes, and it was worth it. The servers were all Hispanic looking, and that appearance gave it an authentic flavor and ambiance.

Sigh... Oh how I miss Chipotle... This was the go-to place for us High Schoolers in MoCo if you wanted a burrito the size of a baby. Big. Tasty. Fresh. Yum. I love their rice and burrito bowls too.

She Said..." If you are in the mood for a good burrito i would choose this place. The burritos are huge and very filling, i always finish mine though. All the food is right in front of you so you can pick what you want. They also have tacos, burrito bowls and other things to choose from. I recommend the steak burrtio or the tres tacos with steak. The guacmole and chips are amazing so i would recommend to get those as well. I have never left this place unsatisfied and i have been there a lot. I am def a fan!" He said..."eh...I'm not a big american mexican food fan so this was rough for me. I will say its not as bad as Moe's. I had two soft chicken tacos for 7 bucks. I could of gone to taco bell and gotten the same meal for 2 bucks. It is fast and they make the food in front of you I guess so that you know there is no funny business going on I suppose."

  • Tim R.

I like Chipotle. The food tastes good, just discovered that they have a kids option. However, I am annoyed that they come out from behind the counter and make me pay for my food before I can even see the counter. I expect that they do this because they often have a really long line and if they get your money, you won't give up and leave. If they would wait until I get to the counter and then take my order, I'd give them another star.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
