Went here for the first time today, so good! The people there are so nice and sweet! You can try flavors, and they have a nice variety. They also have soft serve (24 flavors) which is huge. They also have fudge, sundaes, malts, freezes, floats, snow cones, etc. Plus cake, sugar and waffle cones. Prices are good too, definitely will be coming back!

Generous scoops of frozen goodness for not a lot of cash - what's not to like? Serving up Hershey's Creamery ice cream in a dozen and a half flavors, Frederick Fudge & Ice Cream makes the walk from the main shopping drag worth the time. Nestled on a corner a few blocks from downtown, it's located across from the Eveready Square and Shab Row shops. We got two sugar cones with sizable servings of Roadrunner Raspberry and Cappucino Crunch, and handed over a five dollar bill and some change. Grab a cone and wander the back streets of historic Frederick on a summer day. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon.

Thank you to the nice young ladies working tonight that let us order even though we arrived a few minutes after closing :) The ice cream here is delicious!! Oatmeal cookie for the win!

The bear in a tie stationed outside drew me in and I'm glad he did. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was yummy and the single scoop serving was huge! I'll be back to try the fudge!

It's not a bad ice cream place at all. They have very many selections. I got the cappuccino toffee crunch which is coffee ice cream with bits of dark chocolate and toffee mixed into it. Really good. My husband ordered soft serve - cheesecake flavor. This is the first time we've seen if done with the syrup. Basically it's vanilla soft serve, and then they have the cheesecake flavored syrup. They mix the two together and then run it to another machine to get it into your cone. The thing is, it did taste a bit "artificial" in that you can sort of taste the syrup-y nature of the mix... but it wasn't bad. Just wasn't like any other soft serves that we've tasted that's all. They also have lots of other candies inside - mainly m&ms and such... but yeah. I'm not sure if I'll come back here, but it wasn't a bad experience. I'll definitely try the ice cream again... but I'll probably try soft serve elsewhere.

I don't know why everybody rated 3 or 4 stars, but had nothing negative to say about it!!! They have parking area that you can park your car and a nice sitting area that you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. The staff are always friendly and polite. They also have plenty of flavors to offer. They are all good and yummy. They price is really cheap for the big scoop they give you. Please leave a good review and give it 5 stars, when you don't really see anything bad at this location :)

Yeah, it's an ice cream shop but unlike what the other reviewer said, I think this place is slightly better than the average ice cream shop. They have some really good flavors here. I really liked the banana ice cream. They also are a candy shop since they sell fudge and other candies. The outdoor seating is a bonus too.

Every ice cream flavor i have had here has been fantastic, the fudge is delicious, and the service is always friendly and attentive.

I love this place. Over 20 flavors of soft served in addition to the great selection of hard ice cream and candy. It can be a little bit pricey but it is well worth it!

Not bad, had some good flavor combos like almond joy and the service was excellent. Taste to me was good but nothing special, but portions were generous and the price is not bad either.

This place serves Hershey's ice cream. It's a little tight and narrow but def a great place to get an ice cream when walking around downtown. The small cone is def one giant scoop and they offer a decent amount of outdoor seating but practically nothing indoors. Prices are pretty fair and they have a decent amount of flavors (playdoh always gets me).

Just your average ice cream and fudge shop with offerings of candies, ice creams, soft serves, snacks and beverages. The flavor varieties of the soft serves are from syrup pumps, so for frozen dairy go for the ice cream. The extreme chocolate was surprisingly not too rich despite the mud color, and the mocha ice cream had a hint of caramel creaminess to it. No indoor seating but plenty of umbrella-covered tables with chairs on their porch. Note: $7 minimum for credit card charges. Also no bathrooms - you'll have to go across the street for that.

Great ice cream...I couldn't make up my mind between Extreme Chocolate and Cappuccino Toffee, so the girl at the counter gave me half of each (a very generous half scoop, I might add!). Service was very friendly...the shop smelled great. It was chilly out so we sat at the swivelling stools in the back. Sitting outdoors is very nice when the weather is a bit warmer. Will definitely go back.

This place is like the build-a-bear workshop for ice cream! The decor is so cute and animated- it's like an ice cream + chocolate wonderland! The shop itself is colorful, cute, bright, (insert any positive adjective in here and you'll probably be right) and cozy! They have some stools and a bench in the store- but they have a whole lot of nice tables and chairs outside! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I had no idea they had parking in the back, but that doesn't even matter because this place is pretty much at the heart of downtown frederick- why not just park further away and walk around/enjoy the scenery/get a creamy scoop of ice cream/soak up the sun? You can smell the waffle cones the minute you step inside the store- a waft of this place will make you weak in the knees! I sampled a few flavors before choosing moose tracks. They have a huge selection of flavors- the ones I tried were equally sweet and smooth! They also sell fudge (which I didn't purchase this time around but maybe next time) The ice cream scoopers are friendly. Atmosphere is light and playful. Ice cream is perfect. This is a great spot to go to with kids/family/a significant other/friends/pretty much anyone!

Great place, too much to try in one visit but will definitely be going back soon. Also the service was with a smile which is always a pleasure.

The kind of place you come back to again and again, so much to try that is great. Their "Outrageous Oatmeal Cookie" with soft oatmeal cookie chunks, caramel swirl and chocolate shavings was absolutely fabulous.

Inexpensive, tasty, and a charming patio! Couldn't ask more from an ice cream shop. Their single scoop sugar cone is *actually* two scoops. And they let me have two flavors! It was also only $2.50. Score! Loved my cake batter scoop the most. They have some pretty creative flavors here, too. We came initally because of the photos of the patio on Yelp, and boy am I glad we came. Just wish we had a business like this in Rockville...then again my waist line would only expand even more, so I'll keep this place as a treat for when we drive up to Frederick for BBQ.

Ok. First off, the "single scoop" legitimately qualifies as at least a double. Second, the ice cream is seriously delish. I personally had the salted caramel plus the chocolate peanut butter cup. Divine combo. But...to top it off, the staff is fantastic! We made an ad hoc stop on a bus with 40 kids on a U.S. History tour of D.C. and surrounding areas. We needed a treat on the road to Gettysburg at 7:45pm. The store owner kept the doors open for us and made the best single-day proceeds in a snow-covered March ever! And we filled up 8th graders with enough sugar to keep them bouncing off the bus walls for the next 2 hours.

Great little ice cream shop, with many flavors of hard ice cream, plus soft serve and fudge. Very nice patio in the back, which makes up for the lack space in the cramped store.

Been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. They have a large variety of hand dipped ice cream, as well as soft serve, sundaes, snow cones, and fudge. Staff have always been friendly and quick to serve, but not in a rushful manner. The inside is pretty small, so dont worry if theres a line out the door. They also have a good sized patio which is the best place to sit with some ice cream on a summer night!

Bigger isn't always better, both in the portion sizes and the bold flavors this creamery attempts to put out. One scoop of ice cream is huge, and is relatively inexpensive, so at least you're getting bang for your buck. But to be honest, it's almost too much. And the ice cream flavors themselves are too much to handle as well. Of course you have your standard chocolate and vanilla amongst the others, but every sort of creative flavor they attempt feels like they threw everything in but the kitchen sink. It's too the point where a lot of the flavors seem redundant. Everything from chocolate pieces to peanut butter pieces to caramel and chocolate swirls; almost every flavor has these same sorts of additives that would be better off chosen by the customer if they wished. Sometimes you just want plain ice cream. I've had a few pieces of the fudge and I wasn't impressed, but that's not really what I would go there for so I can't really knock them for that.

This place gets five stars for deliciousness, friendliness, and menu selection. Choose from fudge, ice cream, soft serve, old-fashioned candy, fresh lemonade, floats, snow cones, malts, and several other fantastic treats (including a pretty good version of an orange julius). I'm always greeted with friendly service and patience while I mull over the options. The patio is a shady and welcome setting right near a group of shops, and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Best chocolate malts in Frederick hands down. Take any flavor you would like of their ice cream and turn it into a delicious thick and creamy malt. This is a must stop if you are close by. Get a malt and walk around downtown, you will be in heaven and have a beautiful little town to see in the process. They also have other treats for you to purchase. Lots of chocolate covered selections, candies, assorted colors of vibrant M&M's and a nice array of fudge (which you can sample before you commit to a whole square).
