I'm surprised by how low of reviews this specific Qdoba location has gotten. I come here periodically and am usually happy with what they serve. That being said, I typically only get the naked burrito bowls and burritos, so I can only speak about those two items. The meat is cooked much better than the Columbia Chipotle, and they give more of it as well. The salsas and vegetables are fine too. I've been to several other Qdobas, and I think this one stands out as one of the better ones.

Update - place continues to deteriorate. If the owner reads this - do something about your customer-facing employees because they are very difficult to communicate with. On top of that, it was 80+ degrees today inside. This was likely our last family visit here.

Went here for some queso and chips. The dish came with an unwanted side of "It's too hot in here" covered in "Perhaps the air conditioning is broken" sauce. No one could understand English well enough to comply with my request to check the AC and, sure enough, they did not. Got so hot ended up throwing away the rest of my food. Left there queasy, sweaty and cranky - the same as if I had suddenly caught the flu! I luv me some Qdoba but not this location. And it will be a LOOOONG time before I can face queso again.

One of many fastfood Tex-Mex chains in the area that offer a decent quick bite at a good bargain. The burritos tend to be more rice than meats/poultry. I usually opt for the mexican 'gumbo'. It's savory with a mix of rice, beans, and meats/poultry in a stew and topped with some crunchy tortilla. Get some spicy salsa with avocado and cream to make it a good meal in a bowl. The quesadilla are also good choice as they come out nice and hot with your choice of fillings. The lunch line moves pretty quickly and the establishment is clean and well-kept with lots of seating. A decent lunch choice.

Qdoba serves as a decent alternative for those in Columbia trying to beat the rush at Chipotle . The menu is fairly confusing to those used to ordering at Chipotle or Baja Fresh. Their online menu suggests you can pick and choose any condiment and make certain items meatless, but apparently thats not the case according to the local store manager. I like the fact that the Columbia location is clean, not crowded and has plenty of parking. We've tried the veggie burrito and a Queso chicken burrito so far and i would put the taste a notch above Chipotle and 2 notches up Baja Fresh. The grilled zuchini and avacados adds a nice smoky flavor to otherwise bland veggie burritos. On the downside, though they beat Chipotle on prices, they also skip on condiments which are usually "extra charge" at Qdoba. I asked for grilled veggies for my chicken burrito, and a few small pieces of zuchini added an additional $1.65 to my bill. And the guac is not free with the veggie burrito, which is a bummer. And their salsas are way too mild for my liking. Overall, its an alright place to get a quick fix of your tex-mex without having to wait for 30 mins at the dreaded Chipotle.

great if you are 16 looking for cheap food after school. Other-wise, save your money. Taste is nothing special (not bad, but nothing to write home about) and I seriously felt like I was back in high school with all the teenagers running around and goofing off. If you want a place where you can relax, this isn't the place for you. try the restaurant across the parking lot (Pei Wei), you'll spend a little more money, but it is worth it not to be annoyed by the other guests.

Definitely not the greatest. Somewhat comparable to Moe's / Willy's...I had the grilled steak tacos and was a bit surprised at how bland they were despite adding salsa, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and cheese. Might have gone three stars on my review if bottomless chips & salsa were included with the meal (like almost everywhere else). Unfortunately, no chips & salsa at all. FAIL. Update - reluctant visit number 2: Bland food, no chips, overpriced. Pretty lame overall. Do yourself a favor and go to R&R - their food is twice as good - and cheaper - and more authentic. Oh, and I thought it was just a passing thing, but Felt awful for the rest of the day after eating here the first time, but no. Felt terrible all day again after my 2nd visit. I even tried a different menu item this time (chicken soft tacos). EPIC FAIL.

Blah. The one in Largo is way better than this Columbia location. Came here for lunch and to regain energy after spending 2 hours in a used bookstore across the street. The guy in front of me...his wrap was torn during the process and it was simply re-wrapped in another tortilla. (Not everyone wants a 2nd tortilla. My partner had the same experience at a Chipotle and spent more time removing the torn tortilla rather than eating.) My partner's wrap was also torn after he had unwrapped the foil. I had my favorite, which was nachos, topped with chicken, black beans, hot red sauce and cheese. However, the chips had hints of staleness. In addition, the dining areas were a mess. Business was a little slow but it looked like no one wanted to clean the tables, the floor (there was a spilled drink on the floor) or the soda fountain. Now, I love Qdoba but this particular location was a disappointment.

This is fast food Mexican similar to Baja Fresh and Chipotle as others have mentioned. I don't like their burritos or tacos better than Chipotle, but it is nice that they have a larger selection of items for people who are looking for something a little different. I like the quesadilla and salad options.

Used this location for catering a shower. Price was great, everyone loved the food, and the catering comes with everything you need from sternos to serving spoons etc. The manager Francisco greeted me at the door when he saw me looking at the catering info and explained everything. Very nice to work with!

Decent, consistent food and good service. Nice menu, with more variety than Chipotle. Meat doesn't have the same organic origins though.

Yeah, For a chain they do really well, try the naked burritos, all kinds of stuff piled into a bowl. So good.

I love Qdoba (Dobbin Rd)eversince it was introduced to me by a part owner named Felipe. I like the variations in their menu compared to Chipotle, although the latter is closer to my place. My favorites are chicken quesadillas and mango salad. The more I love Qdoba when my name card was drawn and a manager named Francisco called me on my cellphone telling that I won dinner and I get to take any number of persons with me. So, I scheduled the date and invited my friends, relatives and co workers to a Mexican Party at Qdoba and we had fun! Among the 70 people that I invited, 44 showed up and we had a great time! They liked Q doba`s food and said they are coming back....THANK YOU VERY MUCH to the people behind this promotion. I was so excited to have had a free party and to have helped Qdoba in promoting their restaurant to the people that I know. MORE POWER TO YOU, QDOBA!!!

Qdoba has a variety of menu options, like Baja Fresh and in contrast to to Chipotle. For a burrito, I'll choose chipotle over Qdoba everytime, and probably Baja Fresh over it also. I did enjoy their queso, which Chipotle doesn't have. It is really good and better then Baja Fresh. Maybe this should be a 2.5 review, the 0.5 for the queso. The service is good--just like Chipotle. You work your way down an assembly line. The plaza its located in is not too bad during the lunch rush, but its getting back there through all the other traffic that can be annoying. I've only been there twice, and honestly remember nothing noteworthy besides the queso. I will eventually go back and order something else like a quesadilla or a salad--hopefully that will be more impressive then the burrito.

Okay, I am going to save you some trouble at Q'Doba. If you must eat there, look at the fillings before you order. Look at the pork, it looks good, right? Well it's wet. Nasty wet. It's about half water and think about what happens when you put water in a taco. It ruins the tortilla and pours out everywhere. It doesn't taste half bad but good God, if you're going to sell tacos learn how to produce one that doesn't suck. I wish Yelp could aggregate reviews for chain restaurants so that everyone would know how wet Q'Doba tacos are.

Decent, but Chipolte wins on flavor and value any day. They are truly cheap with the toppings...dare ask for extra (bland) salsa, and they charge extra. Queso dip is good, but not necessary. They do have more menu choices than, say, Chipoltle, but overall I am unimpressed.

As far as chain food goes, this place is great. Good large, burritos. My favorite are the Fajita Ranchera Burritos.

They were going to get 1 star but I decided to be fair and wait for the resolution of my issue with this location. I must say, they handled it well because we received 6 free entree coupons from them. However, their workers are still pretty rude and unprofessional. My family decided to grab some burritos and soup on our way home during the beginning of the last big snowstorm. It was coming down hard and every other store was closing early. Some cars were getting stuck on the road. We have a 4wd but I knew I needed to be quick and get home fast. Only one other person was in the restaurant when we walked in. The staff were all standing around chatting in Spanish as we approached the counter. The lady making the food was rude and rushed our order. When I asked for the new Mexican gumbo she said I couldn't order it a la carte but I needed to get a pick 2. After rushing me to make a decision (remember- NO ONE WAS THERE except a guy sitting in the back) I gave my order. I wasn't feeling well after battling the flu all week, so I decided to ignore her bad attitude. That was a mistake. The staff was laughing and chatting in Spanish looking over at us as the cashier rung up our order. I thanked them and we left but as I was driving away, I realized they didn't give me the soup. The parking lot was covered in snow and the snow removal truck was attempting to clean it. I had to wait for him to move in order to pull back up to the restaurant. My daughter goes in and tells them they left out my Mexican gumbo. The woman who made the food says she has to go back outside (IN THE SNOW!) and get my burrito because it was not the right size for the pick 2 with the soup. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! She made the mistake but wanted to inconvenience us even more by getting a burrito they would just throw away to make me a smaller one??? I was getting really pissed, so I told my daughter to tell them to just sell me the soup by itself. Well, they sold her some tortilla SOUP but not the gumbo after all of that. At this point, I was fire mad and went back in the store to confront them. It was not pretty. The cashier yelled at me and I yelled at him. He gave me my money back, cursing at me. I was ready to jump over the counter but too sick to do anything but swear I'd contact their corporate office to complain. He said to go ahead, who cares? I wrote an email as soon as I got home. Surprisingly, the regional manager emailed me back in 48 hours apologizing at their lack of professionalism but assuring me it was a one-time issue. He seemed very concerned. When I didn't respond within 48 hours, he even emailed me again. So they get stars for their quick conflict resolution. We just went back in to use our coupons, and of course the cashier I argued with was probably really the store manager LMBO. He came out from the back after we cashed in our coupons and glanced at us. Too funny! I'm sure he was reprimanded and good for Qdoba, otherwise I would never go there again.

I haven't been to a qdoba in a few years. I was craving queso so we came here for dinner. We asked if the chicken was white meat and were told yes. It wasn't. I asked for my salsa on the side the lady ploped it ontop of my naked burrito. The food was ok but nothing spectacular. I would not come back here unless I was with a group of people who all wanted qdoba

Having been brainwashed via the magic of advertising in to thinking Chipotle was the best, I decided one day due to the influence of a vocal opinionated Yelper to try other things. First, I went to Moe's. It's mucho better. Then, Qdoba. It's also mucho better. Can you say queso? I admit I was less familiar with their menu so when I asked for a taco salad without lettuce (it looked browned and unappetizing), they explained I was actually ordering a bowl or something to that effect. OK. I learned something today. Woohoo!

First time at Qdoba and not the last. Food was fresh and tasted great. Service was fast and friendly, no complaints. Best of all, no ridiculous lines out the door. Chipotle is good, but not that good. Qdoba is my new go to for quick tasty Mexican fare.

The food is great and so is the service! The owner is such a friendly man! The service and people makes this place just better than chipoltle...yes I said it! Better than chipoltle! Get the shell and create your own salad bowel it is really refreshing!

How did i never know of Qdoba?!! WHY have i been going to chipotle all this time?!!!! I LOVE IT HERE. Quick, prices are good, they have queso!!! lots of quesos. My favorite part of this places are the grilled veggies. They are SO GOOD!!! I got the bowl with chicken and veggies, some queso...and i went back the next day for more.....don't judge me. It's hard to find some healthy alternatives with faster food that can be flavorful and this is definitely one of them. Skip the rice, get black beans, voila....a very satisfying healthy "burrito bowl". Also on th fri and saturday they have someone in the parking lot guarding a Qdoba only parking section....it gets REALLY packed in that parking lot those notes because of the Ale house, i believe. So it's really nice to know you're going to have parking. Go here and turn your back on chipotle as i have. They simply can't compare!

I love coming here for breakfast. The breakfast burritos are great and you get free coffee. Then for lunch, the Diablo Queso is amazing. Can't get enough of it.

I was so pleasantly surprised w my experience here. I ordered the fish tacos, my husband got a burrito and my daughter got a kid's meal. We all had plenty of food- good food, too! The fish was really good (and is something I can't get at Chipotle... fish is important as I'm a pescetarian). I can't speak to my husband's or daughter's meal but they seemed pleased :) We tried the new mango salsa and YUM! Two small complaints: - no changing table in the bathroom! For a national chain restaurant I was really surprised by this - I had a little difficulty ordering as I hadn't been in a LONG TIME and didn't realize there were so many options involved. The lady at the register was 'adaquetly helpful' but probably could have been nicer / more helpful... My family's overall experience definitely outshines the two small complaints. (first review ever: done!) :)

Quest is one thing I come in here for, but they have declined in quality and flavor of food. Everything taste like mush, chipotle a definitely better.

I love Chipotle but Qdoba's guacamole is so much better and you can't go wrong with the queso.

Qdoba' new smothered burrito is not really a smothered burrito. I got the smokey red chipotle sauce as an option. The sauce is very thick almost like a sauce you put in your subway sandwich, more like a condiment. The burrito I got was not hot but more like room temperature and sauce itself was more thick and pasty. There is nothing about this burrito to be considered a smothered burrito!

This is by far the best qdoba i have been too. It gets busy on Tuesdays. The staff are always friendly. Im not a fan of the smothered burrito, but i am able to order the way i like it. Everything is always fresh.

Went there around 5:30 on a Friday. It was empty. Only one other person in there. The place lacked customer service but the food was good. Update: it's now 7:00. Ate the food and is sick as a dog... Im guessing lack of customers, mean that the food just sit out and can possibly go bad. Not going back.

I consider myself to be kind of a fat, food snob. For years I thought places like Chipotle and Qdoba were beneath me... I was convinced they couldn't serve real Mexican food. But you know what, a Qdoba burrito REALLY hits the spot. And I don't care whether its authentic Mexican or not. I've had a few dozen burritos this year and their always hot, fresh and delicious. Plus they don't break the piggy bank. I usually go with the pulled pork... the chicken and steak are a bit dry for my pallet. My lady gets the naked salads and she seems to like them a lot. I will say that the ladies behind the counter could be just a tad more friendly but the guy with the Mohawk at the register is outgoing and upbeat so it makes up for it. Compared to Chipotle I choose Qdoba ANY DAY. There's more selection to choose from and the food doesn't have the funky ass after taste that Chipotle gives you. I used to eat Chipotle when I lived in Towon and whenever I burped I would almost pass out from the odor that crept its way out of my mouth. It was bad, like I ate a dead carcass or something. With that being said I don't get the bad aftertaste, the stinky burps or bad breath with Qdoba. Therefore I choose Qdoba. Long live the burrito. May they one day grow to be the size of human babies.

It was around 9 pm, and the place was empty. The eating area is a nice size and it was clean. Since it was so late I didn't expect the food to be good or fresh. I always order the take 2 deal with two hard tacos and tortilla soup, which is hot and a tad bit spicy. Overall, I had a great experience. There weren't long lines and a huge crowd, so I'm definitely returning.

It's fair. I've had better Qdoba's at the airport. There are better choices in the area.

My giant burrito was delicious, cheap and made correctly. I made the mistake of going at a peak hour, and the line was nearly out the door with annoying high school age kids, so I stood in line wincing as teenage girls couldn't decide what to put on their lettuce, and privileged Columbia kids yelled overly loudly and slowly at the predominantly Spanish-speaking staff like they didn't know the words, "Beans, steak and salsa." So I don't know if I was more annoyed by the place or other customers. I didn't like, however, when they are busy like that, the food part of the service moved so much faster than the cashier that my burrito was made about so far up the line in front of me that I had a hard time watching it get made or asking for toppings, so when the veggies were left out, it had to go all the way back to where I was standing. Again, they were just really really busy and trying their best. My ginormous burrito was well constructed, despite its impossible size. The beans and vegetables were delicious. I think they were a little heavy on a general taco seasoning flavor that they didn't need to have though. Glad I skipped Chipotle for a night and tried something new, and should I ever want a burrito on a not-peak hour, I would have to definitely consider returning.

I'm only rating this as a result of the experience I had the last time I had visited this Qdoba location. Usually I have nothing but great things to say about this location, But my last visit gave me second thoughts about it. My mom and I couldn't understand what the workers were saying a good portion of the time and I felt bad for not being able to understand clearly so I had to ask several times what they said. Another thing is that my mom asked for queso and normally it comes in a medium sized bowl, after letting them know she wanted queso and having them asking and making sure that's what she wanted, at the end they had forgotten. So she went back up and asked for a side of queso again and had paid $3 for a tiny cup of it. The last thing is that I went to grab a brownie, Which are my favorites there and usually fresh, But it was hard and seemed stale. Maybe we just came in during a bad day, Hopefully we get a better experience next time!

I'm pretty surprised by all the negative reviews. I have to admit I've only been to this Qdoba twice, although I have frequented other Qdoba's much more. Each time I was there, it was not really busy at all during peak lunch hours. I know why, because the Chipotle across the street is always ridiculously packed nearly all day. I have only ever ordered the chicken tacos from this Qdoba, with the verde sauce and cheese. I always thought it was good. The flavor, especially with the verde sauce, is great. Not as good in my opinion as Chipotle, but good. Since I prefer Chipotle over Qdoba, I go there instead. The lines are long and parking is a pain, but it's worth it. I found this Qdoba each time I was there to be very clean. Never experienced rude workers or patrons. In fact, each time I was there, I saw a lot of military workers from nearby Fort Meade.

I love this place! They always get it right, the food is delicious, and my pockets don't cry when I leave. Staff is pretty decent, too. The assistant manager is great and always helpful. My only negative, since the Ale House next door opened its doors, parking has become scarce making it very difficult then necessary. Overall, I'm a repeat offender... I love this place!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
