Takeout Chinese food is usually pretty basic. You have your deep fried , your salty, your General Tsu's...but what makes Goodie's attractive is the freshness. You dont usually get that with Chinese. Trust me. I know how old the refried "fried" rice really is. I've lived right near this place for years and never went in but today I'm glad I did. The tofu is good, crisp and nor that soggy shit most places serve. They ALWAYS give you two egg rolls. And the cutest part ? Its a family establishment! The children help out in the shop and keep you company as you wait. Although its literally a block away from my usual China spot, I'm gonna be back to Goodie's!

Never been disappointed with their food! They have always been very pleasant and nice, and the food tastes great!! Their prices are also great. I can get triple the food for a lot less then a competitor down the street.

The best option south of Columbia. I'm never disappointed. I always order the steamed dumplings, veggie fried rice, and sesame chicken. It's not greasy, nor leaving to question the meat. They are friendly, quick, and damn good. They have a website, despite its not listed and you can order online.

I was in town visiting family and we stumbled across this great place. We ordered orange chicken, crispy beef, Mongolian delight, and the house special chow mein. We've been on the hunt for good take out Chinese, and this is the best in the area. Not only is the food delicious and good quality but the owner is very nice and helpful. They also deliver with a $12 minimum order. One note: We're from the west coast and for us chow mein means soft noodles. However, here chow mein is more like a chop suey with crunchy wonton strips. They were great about the mix up and gave us a side of soft noodles, which they call lo mein. So if you're looking for soft noodles then order the lo mein.

Pretty good. We've tried about 5 Chinese carryout places in the area, and this one is probably the best (though the best dine-in one is Hunan Manor in Columbia). We ordered the hunan chicken, mongolian delight, and hot & sour soup. A few of the reviews said that 2 spring rolls come with the order, but we didn't get any. I'm disappointed that there were no coupons attached to the menu like a lot of the other restaurants do. Regardless, we'll probably be going back.

First time here. I'm a little disappointed. Ordered House Special fried rice (shrimp, chicken, pork). I asked for it be a little spicy. Not spicy at all & rice is very dry. It needs more oil. Very little meat/shrimp. I will try more substantial dishes next time.

I like this joint. The food is good and the people are nice. Of course, it's a MD carryout, but this is one of the better carryouts I have been to in the area. Definitely give 'em a try.

This was our first time trying out Goodies. I must say it was a good experience with good food and great service. The orange chicken was crispy and had candied orange peels in it that were quite delicious if you accidentally ate one. The crispy beef wasn't quite crispy by the time we got home but it was still tasty. The kids had trouble eating it, although, because it was a bit chewy. We also got 3 free vegetable (AND pork!) large eggs rolls with our $39 order. We had lots of leftovers with 4 main dishes feeding 3 adults and two small kids. All in all the service was excellent and we'll definitely be back!

Whenever I am back home and looking for some delicious wings, this is my spot!! This sauce is on 10 with a side of fries makes for a wonderful meal! The sauce is not a Mumbo sauce but close. It's the MoCo sauce!! 301!! III be back!! Make sure you get you some!

So today Me, my boyfriend and my boyfriends tried goodies delivery for the first time. I ordered two large fried rice on chicken and one shrimp, and 2, 4 piece wings with french fries. Let me tell you. The rice tasted plain did not look like rice rice. Looked like they had poured soy sauce right in the middle of the box. On top of that there was more veggies then meat in the fried rice. Now on to the chicken and fries. All of the fries were mushy and over cooked. The chicken was absolutely just disgusting. It was sitting in a puddle of oil which was leaking from the box, It was dryer than anything will the oil leaking off of it., and it was tasteless. Just horrid. The best thing i got out of this order was the 2 rock creeks my boyfriend and brother received, sense i ordered a Pepsi and did not receive for myself. I WILL NEVER BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

They are super nice and super quick! Always my go to Chinese food because you order it and it's at your door within 30 minutes! They always have coupons for $3 off or free egg rolls and the more you order the more they throw in free food! Fantastic!

Not bad, the food is good, they could speed up the delivery time, but other than that this is my go-to place when I need to grab a bite but don't feel like driving. I would say try the wings, cheesesteak, and even the seafood platter isn't so bad.

I tried Goodies for the first time last night. I used their delivery service which was a big mistake especially in light of how close we live to Goodies. I called 40 minutes later and was told that the order was en route. I was going to rate Goodies one star because it took over 50 minutes to deliver; but the food was worth the wait. The General Tso Chicken was great. The Kung Pao Chicken tasted a bit different than what I have had before, but it was top notch. Egg rolls were OK. I'd rate this five stars if it were not for the delivery time. I plan to give Goodies another try, but next time I will pick up the food.

Hubby and I discovered this place back in February when we decided to go to my parents' house one night but were too lazy to cook so we decided to pick up some food. So, as soon as we stepped inside, I had to remind myself that it was a carryout, because the place was nowhere close to what I had in mind. I was kind of hesitant because it seemed like nobody ever comes here, it was so quiet and sad. Well it just goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover, because this has been our favorite Chinese place ever since. They make the best crispy beef and combo lo mein ever! Our usual order- Crispy beef, combo lo mein, double cooked pork and crab rangoon. When we order all these it comes up to about $30 something, and then they give us free General Tso Chicken. We got our parents hooked into Goodies too, so much, in fact that they order Chinese every week.

I am a huge fan of Goodies Carryout. My girlfriend and I order from them at least twice a month. The garlic chicken is always good. And if you are in the mood for a vegetarian option the bean curd and vegetables is the best I have had in the area. My gf loves the beef lo mien and the beef & broccoli. And something should be said about their wings, which are really flavorful. The service is good. The girl who answers the phone speaks really loudly but she is a pro. She usually takes your order quickly w/o having you repeat things over and over. The delivery drivers are quick and courteous. And we usually get free egg rolls with our order. If you are in the mood for Chinese or just don't feel like cooking, I recommend giving Goodies Carryout a call.

So good, so fresh, so affordable. The food is so good here. They cook everything per order, even the soup. That bring said, their hot and sour soup is the BEST I have ever had. Been going here for years and will continue.

good food, good prices and good service. Can't ask much more from the only Chinese carry out/delivery joint in Burtonsville. I love the way they throw in the free eggrolls for every $20 you spend. We have ordered multiple times and were satisfied each and every time. Can't go wrong with this place.

I've been ordering from Goodies for the past five years since I moved to Burtonsville. Always the same lady on the phone and she is always accurate and fast, the food is always hot and flavorful. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the food, and usually get delivery. I stopped looking at other chinese restaurants when I found this one!

This place is great! My fiance and I go here WHENEVER we want chinese food. I like trying new places but ever since we moved to Burtonsville a year and a half ago she hasn't let us go anywhere else. We tried Hunan Manor which is a stone throw away, and did not enjoy it nearly as much. If you pick up the food is always ready within 10-15 minutes no matter when you order it, we have been there early and very late and they have never let us down. I am not sure about the delivery time, we have never gotten it that way. It also always comes with 2 free egg rolls, I think you have to spend $15 to get that which isn't hard for 2 people. Well its been about 10 minutes so I have to go pick up dinner!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
