My meal was perfect ! I'm mad that the cook got into an argument with the owner/cashier! Mr. Eogar needs his cook to pay attention. This spot is good for networking and just a cool time to eat and chill in Mount Vernon. I had the French fries w the sausage, bacon ,egg and cheese wrap. Omg everything is perfect. The prices are so cheap! It's like brunch heaven lol ..,

This place is great for breakfast or lunch. The owner is really nice and you can call ahead. It's nothing too outstanding or memorable but it' gets the job done for a decent price.

All I can say is, this will be my place when I want a good hearty breakfast sandwich. I got an egg, cheese and turkey on sun dried tomato bagel.....and it was only $5. SO GOOD!

Simple breakfast spot where you will consistently get what you want. I've gotten a couple different omelettes here and also a breakfast sandwich. All of which were above expectation and of great value for the price paid. Has solid indoor and outdoor seating area. Owner is always bright and attentive while you are there and food is cooked fresh to order.

Staying in downtown Baltimore the weekend looking for brunch and came across this place great menu variety. Planning on a huge late lunch so I just grabbed a waffle & Coffee (starbucks on deck) waffle was good and quick i should have got it with some preserves on it though just to please my tastebuds a little more. Covered outdoor seating was perfect on this hot rainy day!

Really great folks operating this place. The food is all made-to-order but is very fast. I really enjoy breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, although admittedly I have found one breakfast and lunch sandwich that I love and, stick with them. But everyone I work with also loves this spot and it is very popular for meals around the office.

Visited for the first time for breakfast, and opted for two breakfast sandwiches since I was hungry and didn't want to choose! Got a bacon, egg and cheese sammy and a sausage, egg and cheese sammy, both on rye toast. Decent to solid sandwiches, though the bacon was rather rubbery and the sausage was just okay in terms of taste. The eggs are of a fried versus scrambled variety, and on both sandwiches had that thin, crusty edge that I just can't abide! My fried eggs turn out like that at home, so I cut off the edges! I know, weird peeve! Service was efficient and quick, and the coffee was pretty good for such a small place. Overall, a solid option for a quick breakfast.

This place is great! The service is speedy even when it's busy. The breakfast wraps are delicious and wrapped tightly which is a big plus. The home-fries are tasty also.

Great food, cheap. Any bagel and cream cheese and medium coffee for 2.95. It's like 1995 all over again. A HUGE diner-like menu with appallingly good execution. Bagel and lox? Check. Grilled veggies? Check. Salads, wraps and LATKES? All there. This place does it up right. With outdoor seating!

Belvedere Bagels and Grill is a small, but convenient breakfast joint. During the mornings, it can be quite busy, but the staff is pretty professional. There's good variety, and the bagels are delicious. For some reason, their bacon and eggs bagel sandwich just tastes so much better than others I've had in the past. Everything is fresh and cooked (i.e. you're not going to get microwaved bacon and eggs; rather, you'll get them nicely grilled/cooked for you). In addition, for bulk orders, I love how they bag each bagel/sandwich and label each one so that you won't have to figure it out later.

Breakfast does not need to be fancy or complicated. Breakfast CAN be fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Often, when I'm looking for a breakfast place while on the go, I'm just looking for a breakfast sandwich and maybe some homefries, and that's exactly what I found at Belvedere Bagels - A simple, tasty sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on wheat toast and half a plate of delicious onion-y homefries. The price was right, the service was friendly and efficient, and I got just what I wanted. Not fancy, but perfect.

Excellent quick food place. One of the best breakfast wraps I have ever eaten. Mmmmmm- bacon.

  • Kaitlin J.

Nothing really great about any of the food and one of the guys who works here is sexist and disgusting. It is fast and there are a few tables for outdoor seating. I walk by every day but after eating here a few times I'll never go back.

I found this place only a block away from my house. It's on the side of the Belvedere Hotel. I ordered a waffle and it was very hot and delicious, and for only 4 bucks! Amazing! Although I found it weird that the syrup was served in a refrigerated side cup, but whatever, it warmed up as soon as I put it on the waffle. This place is very unpretentious, which is rare in Mt. Vernon. I love the cheap prices and "normal person" atmosphere. I'll definitely will be eating here more.

It's probably all the butter... I consider myself a connoisseur of breakfast foods...and I've been around the breakfast bagel block in Baltimore. Multiple times. And no place can come close to delivering a bagel sandwich as good as Belvedere. This two man shop is a well buttered machine. The bagels are large, thick, and chewy without being dry and bready (like some major bread themed chain who shall remain nameless). The eggs are always fried/scrambled to order, and they must used the extra large eggs, because the portion is never skimpy. The serving of bacon will make you weak in the knees, and it is salty and fatty and crispy in all the right places. The actually carry real cheddar, and it's the good stuff, not that neon yellow plastic you'll find at fast food dives. And then there's the butter (swoon). Together, the proportion of meat, egg, cheddar, and BUTTER marry perfectly in what is hands down the most wonderful breakfast sandwich in charm city. If you're a tourist, it's worth the detour from downtown for a quick and cheap breakfast or lunch. If you're a local, it's a worthy #treatyoself breakfast detour before the daily grind.

If you live in or close to Mount Vernon, Belvedere Bagels and Grill really should be your main spot for a hot, quick breakfast. Most of the other cafes don't offer substantial fare, and City Cafe is much pricier. The Belvedere hits that sweet middle spot. I've only ever had different versions of their bagel sandwiches (which are incredible for the price), but my wife's been very happy with their omelets as well. The Russian guys who run the place are friendly, and if you walk in wearing a Caps jersey, you can expect a great hockey talk!

I'm from NJ where the breakfast sandwiches are a staple of everyone's diet. This is one of two places in Baltimore that makes me think I'm sitting in a genuine NJ breakfast joint. On point!

Stopped by this morning before a short trip to DC. These bagels were incredible! The guys were super nice and extremely welcoming, and the food came out fast, and perfect. Their chive cream cheese was amazing, slightly spicy from the garlic, and a great texture. The sun-dried tomato bagel was perfect, and they toasted it to perfection. I will definitely be back to try out their breakfast sandwiches!!

  • Ateet A.

Wow! I did not expect to get good food from this small place that is located on the side of the Belvedere in Baltimore. We were walking around looking for a place to get lunch before our event started at the Belvedere and decided to go in and get some sandwiches. We were between a few choices and they recommended the turkey artichoke sandwich from our narrowed down choices and it was AMAZING as were their fries which had some kind of interesting and flavorful garlic taste. This is truly a rare gem to find. Like I said a small yet place that I would eat at again. i tried to go the next day(Sunday) to eat again but they were closed. I will have to go back when I am visiting Baltimore!

  • Everly B.

Combining Soviet inefficiency with breakfast food, the Belvedere Bagels and Grill is still popular. Bagels are grilled (not toasted) and that makes their breakfast bagel sandwiches superb. On the lunch side, there are appealing potato pancakes with sour cream. Lots of other omelettes, waffles, salads and subs are on the menu, but remain untried by me. Get it to go! There are two seats crammed against the window and freezer and that is it.

  • Joe P.

Hands down the best breakfast sandwich in Baltimore. Strange hours, closed on Sundays, but you can't beat their bagel breakfast sandwiches. Also try the fries which are tossed in garlic sauce. Cheap, fast and the best tasting breakfast sandwich in bmore.

I eat here once a week or so good Bagel sandwiches nice staff good sandwiches as well, if your looking for a Bagel with nothing on it go elsewhere i didn't care for the flavor but sandwiches on a bagel toasted bagels with cream cheese this is AOK

I love that they serve breakfast ALL DAY! I really enjoyed my enormous, 3-egg $6 omelet with yummy stuff inside. I also tried a "panini," which was basically a melt because they made it with two slices of white bread. Hah. Though it was good for my first few times I was there, I haven't been back in a few weeks because my panini had an extra little garnish: black curly with skin + root. Seriously. And I know it wasn't from me, let's just say. I'm just happy it didn't make it into my mouth. Pubehairnets please.

  • Aaron D.

I love this place! Very delicious food and unpretentious, friendly service. The garlic fries are out of this world. I like sitting outside with some friends and a breakfast sandwich and watching everyone walk by. The beverages could use some improvement--the coffee sucks, there's no iced coffee, and there are only bottles of soda and bottled water. Otherwise though I highly recommend it!

The Belvedere bagels and grill is what I miss the most about living in Mount Vernon. The Russian dudes that own it are the best, and they always try hard to please their clients even if they are busy. Best . Breakfast. Food. Ever. I know people might think that there isn't enough of a choice with drinks, or some other complains, but honestly - their food is so great that I hardly ever cared about anything else. Only thing that sucks is when they are closed :)

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
