Good people running this place, live bands all the time and great food can't get much better than that. I'd definitely recommend trying it out!

Come on! Going to a restaurant in the early days is always a crapshoot, and this is place is far better than most reviewers give it credit. My husband and I have gone twice in the last 2 weeks. Yes, the menu is very limited with salads and sandwiches and a dinner special. That said, we've been pleased with our meals both visits, and altho the waitstaff is young, they are attentive and must be fast learners based on some of these reviews. And the terrace is LOVELY. Give it a chance, we did and will keep coming back.

Was excited to come and try this place out. They've only recently opened and only have a lunch menu going. Sandwiches, burger, and salads. We were there on a Wednesday, at about 6:00 PM. There was live music going on out on the terrace, but we opted to eat inside. We were out by 7:00 PM. There were three of us, we had a terrace burger, a strawberry salad, and a Sonoma sandwich (brie, apple, sprouts, honey mustard, tomato and greens). The two non-salads came with pita chips. The burger was good, though it can be prepared a little bit better. The bread could have been toasted a little (or be a little fresher?), as it was falling apart toward the end, and the patty itself could have been formed a little better. But, I found the burger to be delicious. The spicy ground beef was just right, and matched with the blue cheese made for a good burger, despite it falling apart a little bit. I tried the Sonoma sandwich, and I thought it could have been better, though I normally don't eat brie. The apple could have been a little snappier, providing a crunch to the sandwich. I did not try the salad, but the plate was empty by the end. We tried a cupcake for desert that had caramel filling. It was good and sweet, though I thought the cake part was a little dried out. The burger will definitely bring me back, as will the dinner menu once it has begun to be served. I give this place three stars because its new and still figuring out the kinks, and each item could could be improved ever so slightly. The fact that I liked the spicy burger helps. A promising place so far.

Good food and drinks - great selection, and they encourage samples. Pleasantly surprised during our first visit. Staff was helpful and very attentive. Will return.

My wife and I have eaten at the Cafe many times. We like the Cobb Salad for lunch, although have had some fantastic dinner entrees as well. Great chef. Knows his stuff. Owner makes the place feel warm and welcoming. As Wrentham residents, we've waited years for a comfortable place to eat that's close to home with dependable food. Hopefully those who rated it with one star will go elsewhere. They are the type of atmosphere we've successfully avoided by dining at the Terrace Cafe!

Having commented on this establishment in the past, We decided to give it a try. Moderately busy Friday night. Quaint little place seats maybe 50 with a sit down bar The Cafe, ambiance wise, is very nice. Has that hometown cafe feeling albeit a bit tight. Service was fine. So came for dinner. For Apps we wound up ordering the Calamari and Buffalo spring roll, at which point we were informed that they no longer served any of the spring rolls listed on the menu. So we got the Hummus and Pita chips. For dinner we ordered the signature Chicken al la Terrace and The Lobster Ravioli. truthfully, we didn't care for any the dishes. The calamari was overcooked and was tasteless the Hummus as sort of a roasted pepper hummus but the "Pita" Chips looked like deep fried tortilla wraps....that to me is a no no..... The lobster ravioli were overcooked and the sauce they put over it they called a "bisque"....who tops a $20 dish..yes $20 for lobster ravioli, with a bisque?? apparently they do..maybe clam chowder topped cod soon? The signature dish tasted bland. The chicken was tough, the sauce was overpowering with wine and the garnish veggies were mush. It is their signature dish, so maybe that's the was it was suppose to be, if so...not my cup of tea. I'm told this is a good lunch place...the sandwiches looked good so maybe We will be back to try out lunch in a few weeks, but for dinner, they need to do better if you're going to charge those prices... ALOT Better!

I went here for lunch the other day with a coworker because we were in the area. Great place to go grab a sandwich. The pita chips and homemade red peeper hummus were an excellent added treat to the sandwich. I got the roast beef sandwich, with the horseradish sauce, which I believe is homemade too. I hear that the Coco is the biggest seller on the lunch menu. Next time I am in the area, I would definitely stop in again.

Had lunch there this afternoon. My first visit. Was pleasantly surprised by the very interesting menu. Everything tasted really fresh. The bread was hearty and well toasted. Prices were reasonable and the service was very prompt and friendly. Another couple came in after us, said they had only half an hour. They were served and left within the half hour. I saw that they have $2 drafts on Tuesdays. Will certainly be back!

I think people are judging the Terrace a bit harshly considering it just recently opened, and it's not like Wrentham is some mecca of exquisite cuisine where the Terrace can be compared against 5 star restaurants. Any new place is obviously going to have kinks in its operation for the first couple of months, but you cannot say that the place doesn't have potential to be a wonderful addition to Wrentham Common. The burger is by far the standout item on the menu. It's just a hint of spicy that you don't normally find in a burger, but makes it delicious. I will keep going back to the Terrace for the burger alone. And for the people complaining that "kids" are running the place. You do reason the head bartender (though he may look young) is an Afghanistan Vet in the Army? I'm not surprised a bunch of townies are trying to talk down the Terrace though. I mean, Nicky's has been in business for how long now? Shows you what they know. But hey, it's a place in the middle of town, and it serves beer. When was the last time we had that?

This is a hidden gem that more locals need to check out and support- the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable with great decor. There was a musician playing tonight with a guitar singing a range of songs from James Taylor to Jason Mraz. I don't love any restaurant with TVs but it was bearable with only a couple behind the bar. The buffalo wings with rootbeer sauce- I give 10 pts to the sauce, the wings were a little dry. The salad had a few tired limp bits to it but the homemade cilantro and lime dressing was amazing. My butternut squash ravioli was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful but the sauce tasted slightly watery. The service was pretty good but there were only a few customers and she spaced out on a few things. Honestly it is a fabulous place and I truly admire that they are doing a good job- but maybe just need to do a tiny bit more QC to perfect the experience. I will definitely go back and will encourage friends to give it a try- the burgers are ALWAYS great and they have tasty draft beers that won't break the bank. One suggestion- maybe dim the lights slightly to create an even cozier atmosphere. We LOVED that there are cards on the table- it tells us that we are not going to be rushed out the door when we are done eating. Thanks Terrace Cafe and good luck

My Wife and I went here for lunch just before going to the outlets. The food was okay. My wife got a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was way over cooked. I got a burger which was good but the meat to bun ratio was way off. The bun was huge and the burger was small. They give you Tortilla chips with some humus instead of fries which is okay but honestly I would rather have fries. The chips were big and awkward and when ever restaurants give you those I always feel like they will re-cycle them if I dont finish them... or maybe I got someone else's... there really isn't any way to know... You cant do that with fried.. Long and short of it.. it was okay... not amazing...

I want to LOVE this place but with such a limited menu, it's hard to. I really think a couple apps, salads/soups, better sides to the dinner menu would make a big difference. With such a small dinner menu, those with picky eaters will get turned away. Also I think the chicken breast sandwich on the dinner menu should be replaced by a good chicken entree. It's dinner time, not lunch. The ambience and the outdoor seating are a plus. I also really like the entertainment. If the menu was ramped up, I would be a regular.

First timers here. We ordered a few dishes and we were slightly dissapointed. We did eat all of it and I did.not send admitting back. I would give the food a 3.5 and the service a 3 so that's why I settled for a 3 star review. The eggplant and ricotta pizza, first off when I hear brick oven pizza, I think crispy crust and fluffy dough and saucy with fresh ingrediants. The ricotta was so dried out and the pizza was way too thin that some of the slices were really soggy. I hate to say it tasted like frozen pizza! Hot wings with rootbeer sauce were beyond spicy but the rootbeer sauce was delicious and the pasta and chicken in pink sauce- I added spinach and mozzarella cheese to it. The dish came out with palm sized chicken nuggets which is not appetizing. The waitress said it was diced. That is boneless chicken wings, honey! It was so gross looking. Also it seemed like They melted the mozz cheese right over the top in the microwave bc you can see all of the oil in the sauce separating. They forgot to add my spinach as well. I ate around all the chicken. Pasta was overcooked and sauce wasnt as creamy as vodka sauce should be. It lacked flavor, still edible. Service however, eh not so good. The girl was super nice but seriously we were the only ones in the restaurant and she was super impatient with us ordering. She would keep disappearing. She took a really long time to get things. When I told her about my missing spinach she sincerely apologized and she brought my cooked spinach on a side plate! Ummm or you could've had the chef toss it in with the pasta??? She didn't clean off our table in a timely manner and when the pizza came, it sat there for 5 minutes while she got new plates. Newsflash-plates are to be set before the meal comes to the table. I HATE to be so mean but this isn't rocket science. Its common sense. Im scared to return with it being a packed house. I cant imagine what service will be like and what food quality will be like. All in all I like to give places second chances. It just won't be any time too soon.

By far my most unpleasant dinner in recent memory. Some of the negatives- 1. There was a TV blasting local news outside next to our table, we were the only ones on the patio (5 P.M.) and the staff refused to turn it off. 2. Part of the reason we chose to eat here was a 10$ fish and chips special advertised on a chalkboard out front. Three of the six people in my party ordered this, only to be told 10 minutes after that the special "was for lunch only and had not been taken down yet", and had to order new entrees. 3. I ordered a glass of red wine and was brought white. When the waitress brought it back, she returned with a glass of red which was absolutely coated with white fuzz. When I mentioned it to her before she had even handed it to me, she muttered something like "it's from the towel". I finally received the wine in a clean glass 7 minutes later, with no eye contact or comment. 4. My girlfriend had a long hair in her house salad. 5. Service was almost comically slow despite a virtually empty restaurant. A meal with no dessert or appetizers took almost two hours, and I had to hunt down our server after he disappeared for 10 minutes after giving him my card to pay. The food actually wasn't bad, but the service and experience made me feel like I was in a "before" segment of Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible.

I am not from Wrentham, I was only visiting last weekend November 17th. I know my family is VERY excited to have The Terrace a short walking distance to their house. My only suggestion would be to ensure that a bell is rung to indicate "last call." It was a little frustrating to be told they were no longer serving. We were not given any advance notice. I hope that The Terrace continues to attract local customers in Wrentham. New restaurants are a good thing!

What a great local place!!! Last time I had even been here it was an ice cream parlor, so I don't know when this evolved to a café. This is a much better venue. Fantastic outdoor dining. We mainly ate appetizers. Excellent. And wood oven pizza, also excellent. I only give it a 3 star because 2 of the bottles of wine we ordered they did not have in stock. Will definitely go back.

The Terrace burger was HUGE and delicious, served with hand-cut FRIES. The woman running the joint and the older woman in the back put together a delicious meal. Seats by the window are comfy, cute and neat. It's dressed down enough to be casual but posh enough to be fancy (outdoor dining too). All of the complaints noted in other reviews seem to be either completely false, or these guys pay attention to their yelp reviews and fix whatever's broken. Anyway, we had an awesome lunch here and it was only $21 bucks!

I have to update my previous review from over a year ago because since my last review the Terrance Café has grown leaps and bounds! The food is always top-notch and the since the menu is frequently updated there is always something new to love! I love going on the weekends and listening to live music and am looking forward to the summer to enjoy some food and wine on the terrace!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
