    My favorite restaurant in Woods Hole. Fried fish tacos: can't be beat. So fresh. Light and filling and tasty. Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Lobster Roll: Yea! So good. The basil and pea greens with the lemon aoli make this a even fresher take on a lobster roll. Very sizable and comes with a heaping scoop of tortilla chips or slaw. Tuna BLT: Honestly I can't ever decide what to get when I'm here, but my partner usually gets this wrap and oh my, is it delicious. The aoli, bacon, and tuna are a perfect balance! Churros: Disappointment, so skip those and get another beer. Live music outside on Sunday evenings in Summer. Beware of the line in Summer. Worth the wait.

    We were more than starving, we were very merry. We were very early for our Martha's Vineyard ferry. Quicks Hole was pretty close so we quickly grabbed a table, And ordered up sangria as fast as we were able. We said, "Let's eat !" and our meals came soon; Big fat burritos and a fork and a spoon. Poetry side (apologies to Edna St. Vincent Millay), this local hot spot is worth a visit if you are staying in the area or waiting for a ferry to the Vineyard. You order at the counter, pay up, grab a table number if it is busy and soon you get a great big meal. The coolest thing about this place is the number of salsas and hot sauces they offer, which are just to the right of the door as you walk in. (Love the peach salsa.) Another cool factor is the small outdoor area where music is a key element. The sangria is delicious, and they offer up various beers and wines in addition to a lot of bottled juices. This is a casual spot, where kids and weary travelers are welcome. I was not happy to see our burritos and tacos being prepared by a very nice looking person who used her bare hands. And our burritos had way too much rice. While the burritos are huge, the rice overwhelms any additions and makes the meal more bland and dull than it might have been. Shrimp, lobster and crab are featured on the menu, and you will not leave hungry, as the portions are generous. Each dish comes with coleslaw or chips. I recommend the coleslaw. Nice spot to hang out when you are in Woods Hole for any reason.

    You really cannot ask for more freshness than sitting within feet of the harbor. Not being from the area, it was devastating me that I wasn't going to be able to come back anytime soon to try more of the menu :( Absolutely get the lobster tacos! Albeit, pricey, they are phenomenal. We also ordered shrimp tacos and pulled chicken. All really really good. With my yelp check-in, I got a free gazpacho shooter and that was as you can guess... great! The outdoor seating just rounds out the whole experience Definitely a must must try.

    I heard many great things about Quicks Hole so I have to try them for lunch today. From the outside it looks small and when inside there is enough seating for at least a couple dozen people. They have Fresh salsa to go with your meals in 3 or 4 different flavors. Best part is you can have as much as you want but watch out a few of them got some serious hotness to them. I was tempted to go tacos but when I saw they had the Baja Shrimp in a bowl I had to try it. I LOVED It. It is everything you would get in a burrito but in a bowl and with rice instead of a tortilla. The shrimp were grilled to perfection with a nice flavor. All the fixings tasted fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. I could have eaten at least one more of those bowls before I left. They make homemade chips and would highly recommend ordering them to go with your meal so you can take advantage of all their salsa flavors. I am definitely going back for more at each opportunity I have.

    Really quite good for a small town. Prices very reasonable. My husband got lobster tacos and I got a baja bowl. Little guy had a hot dog and chips. Chips appear to be freshly made and are quite tasty. The baja bowl was quite filling, and my husband was a big fan of his food. Easy in, and easy out of this place.

    Simply delicious! Five in our party where we enjoyed two Pork Baja Bowls, two Pork Burritos, and one Fried Cod Burrito. Everything was delicious and enjoyed by all. We especially devoured the chipotle salsa (the best I've had).

    We stayed at the Woods Hole Inn and decided to try this place for dinner. After a long day touring Martha's Vineyard, we were pleased by the food at Quicks Hole. It's so fresh and nice portions! My husband had lobster tacos and I had fried cod tacos. It's Delicious! I wish we didn't spend money on the pricy food on the island and we could eat real food here. We certainly enjoyed our food and their salsa bar is pretty cool too. The service is good. It's nice to go downstairs and eat and then go back to our room at the Inn.

    I love Quick's Hole. In the last few years I've had pretty much everything on their menu and there isn't anything I don't like. Personally, I don't think the lobster tacos are the best thing, I'd rather have cod. But, the lobster roll is a treat! Yesterday, I went in for a burrito and enjoyed it very much but was put off by the pice tag, $16.53...it's just too much for me and a lot of Woods Hole locals who aren't in the 1% to be paying for lunch very often.

    Horrible dinner on August 23, 2015. Ordered sweet potato fries which came out cold, greasy, and limp. Also ordered Pulled Pork Quesadilla which was so spicy two people in my party had to switch dinners.... and a salad that was supposed to have hearts of palm, mango and avocado but actually had no hearts of palm, and the mango was not prepared correctly and gave me blisters all over the inside of my lips (called Mango Mouth, it is caused by not being peeled correctly). Very disappointing!

    Ordered the pulled chicken tacos, lobster taco, and seared ahi tuna salad. They place itself is okay. Typical local joint with some tables outdoors where people go to grab a quick bite possibly before getting on the ferry to MV. The lobster taco was kick ass. The chicken tacos were okay. Idk...they almost tasted more like pork. My bf, who no longer eats pork, said the same. The salad was pretty awful. It said it was pan seared and supposed to have a crust. Def failed on both. It didn't taste fresh and the dressing was not good. The peach salsa tasted very much like crushed Del Monte canned peaches with some seasoning. Few tweaks and this place would be great. I say stick with the tacos.

    Wow- impressive. A friend brought me here and I feel the love! The flavor are so bright and fresh. I had the pork taco and guacamole with chips - simple but awesome taste- a real treat. The side of coleslaw was the best I've ever had - and I'm not a huge coleslaw fan. Now all other coleslaw is ruined for me. Saw the water and good people watching from the deck. You won't be sorry you came.

    Cafeteria-style restaurant with great food. We had the clam chowder to start, which was lighter than usual, with dill and a bit if spice. I had the blackened fish sandwich, which was excellent. Swordfish served hot and with a sweetish compote. Also had the lobster salad sandwich. Very tasty.

    Great place to stop in for a quick bite while visiting Wood's Hole. Another restaurant owner recommended it to us. We split the lobster tacos which were really good with a lot of lobster. I had a lobster taco at another place on the Cape and was disappointed when it was all slaw. These, however were very tasty. The mixture of flavors in the taco was delicious and refreshing. We washed it down with the Kono Sauvignon Blanc (great pour) & Sam's Seasonal. Very good. Would go here again! Later that evening we walked by and there was live music playing outside with a great crowd that included a super chill black lab.

    Mmmm, Quicks Hole. To me, there is no better way to spend an afternoon in Woods Hole than with a lobster taco and a mason jar filled with sangria on their deck. Their service is friendly, their location is ideal, and their offerings are heavenly. On my last visit I got a sweet shrimp burrito and loaded it with their mango habanero salsa they keep in the little metal flip-container near the cash registers. Lines at Quicks Hole can be long on weekends during the summer, so plan accordingly. Our group of six had to stalk the deck to find seating and we almost didn't get a table that would have sat all of us. Our food took half an hour to come out after we ordered so if you're hungry when you show up you should order something you can take with you to your seat, like their chips and dip to hold you over. Prices, as others have noted, are not cheap but for delicious, fresh, local fare it's totally worth every penny. If you check-in on the Yelp app while you're there they gift you with a complementary watermelon gazpacho shooter to sip on while you wait for your food.

    Incredible location & fish tacos! My friend got the Baja Bowl & said it was to die for! The chowder is pretty unappetizing... it's green and tastes a little funky... if you're looking for New England clam chowder, definitely don't get it. Overall awesome, just wish I'd gotten something besides the chowder!

    Lobster tacos lived up to the advance billing, but the outside deck was filthy and the inside space not much better. Worse still, there was no working bathroom. When I asked them to unlock the bathroom door, they said they couldn't and instead directed me to the public restrooms at the Port Authority a block way. So creepy.

    This is a nice quick place to eat where you order & pay at the counter and they bring out your food. I got the veg bowl which was great. Plenty of zucchini and other veggies and beans. They have a bar menu also. We ate outside and there is seating inside also. Friendly employees.

    This place was awesome!! We had an hour to kill while waiting for the bus back to Boston and Quicks Hole is right down the street from the bus station. Our Yelp check-in got us a couple of samples of gaspacho - delicious! And we ordered the Mojo Chicken tacos, a burrito bowl and the chicken tortilla soup - all of them were tasty, filling and fresh. And the price was extremely reasonable for the portion sizes. The outdoor patio is adorable and so is the inside. We ordered at the counter and then servers brought our food to the table - efficient system overall.

    Yes. Absolutely love this place. Wicked Baja Salad with mojo chicken is right there with the best chicken and salad lunch I've had in past three months. Amelia gave us sangria pitcher. Holy crap. Loved it. I live nearby. I will be back and back and back!!!!

    By far my favorite spot in Woods Hole to grab a bite to eat! Great, friendly service, tasty and fresh, local food! I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and fried cod burritos along with a pitcher of their sangria! It's always an amazing time on Friday evenings with friends on the porch listening to Brothers Rye live music! The only negative I have is that they are only open in the Summer.

    As anticipated, the lobster tacos were great. Plenty of lobster, fresh ingredients. Lobster roll, while non traditional, was also wonderful. If you are someone who gets offended by a lobster roll that strays from the usual style, avoid this one. But I loved the addition of basil and pea greens. The lobster was still the star. The clam chowder was not so great. A little skimpy on the clams, heavy on the potatoes, and just not super. I would go elsewhere in town for chowder, but everything else was lovely, including the fries and lemonade. We got ours to go both times we visited, and the integrity of the food was preserved even after ferry rides. Can't wait to go back!

    The best place to eat in Woods Hole! It was highly recommended by the clerk at Sleepy Hollow, so we checked it out. The upstairs dining room was really crowded and noisy, with a long waiting time, so we found immediate seating downstairs at the bar. This turned out to be a great move, because the bartender was really friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly and it was beyond excellent! Vegetarians will be happy here, as will meat eaters. The portions are generous but not overwhelming. I'll be back next time I'm in Woods Hole!

    This was an unplanned stop as we wanted a quick bite while touring Woods Hole. We scampered up to the second floor and were immediatly seated and tended by the bartender while the waitress was busy. Everyone was exceptionally nice and there were some great people watching experiences as well. My son had the cheeseburger and immediately proclaimed it as the best he's ever had. Since he's pretty picky about his burgers and has only bestowed this comment once before, I take this as high praise. I had the chowder and the "Pig Candy" along with a Loose Cannon Ale and was very happy with everything there. The chowder was one of the best (I've probably tried thirty on the Cape) and the Pig Candy was an amazing treat. We will be back next year when we visit the Cape, for sure!

    Stopped in for a quick bite while waiting for my ferry to Martha's Vineyard. And I am very glad I did. The tacos were AMAZING. Fresh, light and cooked to perfection. I got a shrimp taco and a beer battered cod taco. Both were excellent. Fish was fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. The beer batter on the cod was heavenly. This place is a MUST if you're in the area. Reasonably priced too.

    Still a favorite and thankful to have this establishment as a local, but I can't help but notice that the burritos have suddenly become nothing but rice. And if you remember from my last post, the rice was not my favorite. I will say they've definitely toned down the salt content which I'm happy about. The tacos are still the best way to go to avoid the rice. Lots of restaurants try to add in fillers to bulk up the cheaper part of the meal, but why not the beans then! People love beans. Afterall, they're what define a burrito. I'd estimate the rice makes up at least 50% (if not more!) of the burrito contents. I had to eat 1/3 of the way into my burrito the last time before I even hit any fish. Stick with the tacos!

    Have been going here since the Tavern opened. Recently experienced their brunch offer, every Saturday and Sunday 11:00am - 3:00pm. Well, once again they did not let us down. The meal was excellent and the service equally as good. My wife particularly enjoyed her veggie omelet. This is a great place to enjoy a food & beverage with a view in the Falmouth area...a must particularly if you're taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard!

    I had not one, but two fantastic meals at Quick's Hole this weekend. For lunch i chose the hamburger on the recommendation of the waiter and it did not disappoint. It was juicy, cooked to order and had some nice fresh greens on the side. For dinner I had a roast chicken with the most delicious fire grilled Brussels sprouts I've ever had, along with heavenly whipped potatoes. The server Abby was gracious and responsive to all our needs. I highly recommend it.

    Stopped for lunch before the crowd arrived. Tacos are great - almost as good as the fish tacos in SoCal. Lobster taco was a nice alternative to a lobster roll. Service was fast and friendly (thanks katie!). I'll definitely make a stop here the next time I'm in Woods Hole.

    Awesome, awesome, awesome and awesome. Amazing tacos does not do it justice. We stopped here off of the bike path along the water. Don't let the simple, cape cod counter ordering, water front decor fool you. It's awesome. Had the lobster tacos and the fried cod tacos. The fried cod tacos... My problem with this was there was so much fried cod I had to take some out to eat it. I wish every dish I ever ordered had this problem. The cod was practically melting in each bite; that's how tender it was. Came served in a flour (or corn if you prefer) tortilla with cabbage and some kinda creamy deliciousness. The lobster taco was basically a lobster salad in a flour tortilla with the same cabbage and creamy sauce. Also excellent, but I think I enjoyed the fried cod more. Really just an excellent spot off of the bike path. Would go back tomorrow if I could.

    I'm giving Quicks 5 stars for "as good as it gets on Cape Cod..." ...which is not to take away from the place, just sayin' Anyway I've known about this place for years but never went until a few weeks ago. Man was I missing out all that time. A friend recommended it recently, and until then I didn't realize what type of cuisine they have - I just assumed it was raw bar-type food. I tried to describe it to my parents, without using the word "Mexican" - just because for some reason Mexican isn't their favorite food... I think they associate it with beans and ground beef tacos or something. So the first thing I told them, is that it was one of the best meals I've eaten in Falmouth. Then I made an even bolder statement, that I had the best fish tacos I've ever eaten... I'm not hard to please, but I've also had fish tacos at a lot of good places before, including South Beach in San Diego. We went on a rainy evening the day after Labor Day. It was quiet for sure, partly due to the weather but also the time of year. The service was very friendly and personable. I got a Cape Cod draft beer, a cup of Gazpacho, and then what I called surf + turf: a Grilled Cod Taco and a Slow-Roasted Pork Taco. I expected the gazpacho to be cold as is the tradition, but it still tasted good warm. The tacos were delicious - I went for corn tortilla, against the other reviewers' recommendations - I thought they were fine. True it was a messy meal to eat with your hands, but that's what a sink is for. The flavors were great - the pickled onions, pico de gallo, and the baja sauce. My wife got the crispy Beer Battered Cod Burrito, and she said it was excellent. She was full until sometime the next day, which is rare given her fast metabolism. I like the laid-back atmosphere, after all this is Woods Hole. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes.... good food ;-)

    Cool spot! Ordering process was verrrry slow. Food was not great but not bad either. The salsa was great and made the food taste better. I'm not sure I would return. Definitely expected better. The restaurant also need a good cleaning and more cashiers. Also more expensive then I expected. Taquerias are usually for great food, quick bites, and less expensive.

    Delicious chicken tacos!! What a fun, casual place to eat a delicious, and reasonably priced meal! On Monday nights in the summer they have free, live music. The Max Courtney Duo that we heard this past Monday was great! The sangria was great too! It's not the best place to eat a meal leisurely since the outdoor seating is a little cramped, but it's a great place to hang out for a drink with friends. There's indoor seating too, but it's so hard to be indoors when the weather is so beautiful. Absolutely delicious food - I've been here a few times and always loved the food!

    Stupid name (the "why" posted inside basically says "we named it after another place"), but definitely the place to go (unless you're looking for fancy). Super tasty food, good portions, and good atmosphere. Nice patio. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. Live music. Fresh ingredients. Nice little selection of beers/wines. Menu ranging from healthy to "$crew healthy, gimme yummy!"

    Ah, California guy on the east coast. We stopped at Quick's for lunch one day based on a friend's recommendation. I am always wary of food with a Mexican flair outside of the SW U.S., based more on my expectations than anything. The food is is very tasty! Not what I would expect "with a Baja flair", but then I live along the coast in Central California. Having said that, I tasted four different dishes at my table and enjoyed all of them! I had an excellent Cape Cod Brewery IPA. Only one suggestion when you eat there: Request flour tortillas for your tacos as they serve their corn tortillas uncooked. Uncooked is nowhere as tasty as they could be when cooked and and it also causes them to somewhat disintegrate when you are trying to eat your taco...

    Not sure if it's a new policy or a fluke, but the burritos and chip servings have gotten a lot smaller since the 2013 re-opening. For a place that's borderline overpriced, the quantity was an important factor in my choosing to come here when I do. Bring back the big burritos with lots of chips!!!

    It was OK but not great. Pro: The waterview from the upstairs tables is great, the wait staff was very attentive, some of the meals like my Mushroom Risotto was very good. Con: Meals were very hit/miss. The Arctic Char was tasty but the meal was cold, the grilled Romaine was doused in sea salt. I think this would be a great place for lunch because the burgers, at another table, were huge and looked great. I'd be willing to try it again, but as stated -it was just OK.

    Perfect option when you want something different - great atmosphere - bright & cheery with fresh flowers on each high top table. The lobster tacos are amazing - one is plenty for one person. The self-serve homemade salsa bar is unique & quite tasty. My favorite was the smoky chipotle - yum!

    Located in an unassuming spot just off the main port of the Wood's Hole ferries, if you're hungry and craving Mexican food, then look no further. Once you step in you'll be greeted by a no frills almost divy, college atmosphere. There is also a small area for outdoor seating. I didn't think I was hungry until i read the menu and ended up ordering more than I could finish. I started with the "chowda" which was very chunky and hearty with fresh tasting ingredients. Even with chunks of potato, I was happily surprised that they weren't dissolved into the soup. Then I went with the arugala salad with jicama and seasoned nuts. The leaves were crisp and the jicama was refreshing, however, the nuts could have been seasoned a bit more. My last item was the grilled cod bowl, think wrapless burrito. The cod was well seasoned and not dry but the rice was a bit undercooked. And you can't have Mexican food without a bit of heat. They had counter with a good number of hot sauces and just underneath are containers of salsas and limes for the taking. The staff was young, energetic and very eager to help with any request I made. If I'm ever back at Wood's Hole, I'm definitely putting it on my list.

    This was the perfect way to end our vacation in Falmouth. This fast food/ take-out joint has one of the freshest seafood by far. It's much better than the big name restaurants we tried the last few days in Falmouth and MV. I wished I found this first. We had the lobster taco, the baja shrimp bowl, and the yellowfina tuna BLT, all were excellent. We also had the quahog chowda, which is a little too thin for my taste, but some people like their chowda less thick and creamy. It's preferential. All in all, this is definitely a place you want to try!

    Stopped in while we waited for our ferry. I love when I get so lucky as to stumble upon a place that is so delicious! I had the fried cod tacos. They were amazing. The cabbage topping and the choice of salsas were fabulous and everything was so flavorful. The atmosphere was friendly and casual...perfect for a family not dressed for a fancy meal after a few hours in the car. We will be going back...on purpose this time!

    This place had truly amazing fish tacos and a really well seasoned lobster roll. The cape cod beer on tap was the most refreshing on a hot and humid day! The location is perfect but they can expand the outside seating a little bit as the place gets crowded. Overall a very nice experience. Will definitely come back!

    Great little place right near the ferry. Order your food at the counter and sit down and they bring it to you. We had fish tacos made with fresh cod. Lots of yummy garnishes on the taco and a side of cole slaw. Very reasonable prices.

    Food is fresh and tasty but over priced, especially for two tiny fish tacos. Best buy: pulled pork or chicken burrito for $9.50 or the veggie burro for $8.95 (not including drinks). If you eat here, be prepared to spend $20 at the very least. The ordering system is very strange, too. After you order and pay upfront, you're given a number and table stand thingy to place at your seating location. About 15-20 minutes later, you'll hear waitstaff screaming your number. Then, you walk up to the front counter, give back the number and table stand thingy, and pick up your order. It begs the question...why not send wait staff to deliver your order at your table? This system kinda works during off-hours but, during peak times, the system is so chaotic and inefficient; it's so loud, you can't hear your number called; it's packed so you can't find a table; and those that can't find tables stand around and create more chaos.

    Their shrimp taco is the best I've ever had! I tried the fish(cod) taco as well, but not as impressive as the shrimp one. Super fresh, cooked at the right time, tons of flavor as well. If you go biking along the shinning sea bikeway, you don't want to miss quick hole after a good workout. :) Oh, did I forget to mention their dessert? You'll be surprised how good they taste. Ohoh, did I also forget to mention their different varieties of salsa? yummm!! Can't wait for summer to come and go down there again!

    "M" stopped in here while the ladies went shopping. The draw was the outdoor seating and beer sign. On tap brews were all local cape cod beers. We had a cape cod summer and a cape cod red. $5.50 each. A great spot.

    This is a fabulous "quick hole". A taco and salad restaurant with a bar, it is perfect for lunch. My husband and I wandered in on a mid August Thursday and ordered a lobster taco, a grilled fish taco, and an arugula salad. The fish taco was light and super fresh: pickled onions, cabbage, great fish, a bit of queso fresca and a drizzle of creme. It was a satisfying mound of crunchy, lush pleasure. Try it on the soft corn tortillas. Delicious! The lobster taco had a hint of mayo and was also satisfying. Highly recommended.

    If you're looking for something other than fried seafood this is the place. This is a fun, casual, eat in or take out restaurant. I went during lunchtime and ordered the sweet Baja Shrimp bowl to go. Basically a burrito without the tortilla. It was fresh and tasty. Didn't have to wait long either. The portion size was a little on the smaller size (i.e. this is no Chipotle sized burrito) which wasn't a problem for me, but with America's obsession with getting more for you're money/super sizing, some may find it isn't worth it the $13 price tag. Ill take quality over quantity.

    Rainy day on the cape, so went to visit Woods Hole. This was right across the street from Landfall, but we decided to have lunch at QH as wanted something quick and cheap. Stopped for lunch at QH and spent $39 for two cod burritos, chicken fingers and a hot dog for the kids. No drinks. The burritos were good, but not fabulous. The chicken fingers were like shoe leather, and the tiny hot dog wasn't nearly enough to satisfy an 8-year old boy. For the money, I had expected much more. But, then again, it's tourist season!

    I love Quick's but am putting 2 stars to bring attention to my biggest disappointment about the food and that is the cold "raw" corn tortillas that form the base of the tacos. I noted it on other low ratings from others. Corn tortillas out of the package are edible but not ready to eat. Heating them on a griddle, even a little, warms them and brings out the corn flavor and makes them feel 'cooked.' We make, as well as buy, corn tortillas and NO ONE wants them cold out of the package. We always heat them first. I would pay extra just to have them heated up. Not fried, not dried, not even browned. Just put on the griddle to toast them slightly and warm them up so they don't look like the underfinished foundation of the meal that they are. Try it and taste. You'll see!

    One of my favorite spots on the upper cape. I'd come in a couple times a week for a fried fish burrito and a fountain soda (I'm a sucker for free refills). They're staying open this winter for the first time, and had updated the menu with some interesting things--lobster mac-and-cheese, enormous plates of nachos. Folks that run it are trying their best to be local and creative with the food. Burritos can be a bit dry, but the salsa bar (when they have it up) was the perfect redress--especially the fresh peach. As a regular, I was regularly annoyed that the person at the counter will interrupt you to ask you name as you start to place your order. This must be a function of their order interface requiring that info first, but it needs to change. Also, there is a bit of a bottleneck around the counter where orders are taken, but you have to wade through the line of people waiting to order to get to your food when it's ready. An easy solution would be to put the ready food on the other side of the register nearer the seating area where people are waiting for it. Better yet, hand people a numbered table tent and deliver food to the table (come to think of it, this would solve the whole, "What's you name?" thing, too).

    Word of advice: If you put a bunch of bland things together, it'll just be a ton of bland! I ordered the beer battered cod burrito (comes with chips or cole slaw) for $12, since the lobster roll was a ridiculous $20. It was reasonably large, but filled with barely seasoned rice, pinto beans, cheese (maybe? I couldn't even tell!), and some pieces of soggy, mushy cod. It was a lot of food and I ended up pretty full but I regretted every bite. The only thing making the situation better was the delicious serve-yourself chipotle salsa that I had to put on every bite to make the burrito taste like something. The "Wicked fresh coleslaw" tasted like it had been bought at the grocery store. On the upside, my friend got a Blackened Swordfish sandwich ($17) which was deemed "delicious, but messy". Also, don't call yourself "Quicks" if you're not quick at all! Four people working in the kitchen for a short queue of people, and it still took a good 25 minutes to make a bland burrito! I'm from upstate New York so I am no seafood connoisseur. But I've had much better than this place in Boston proper!

    Ate here three times during a recent stay in Woods Hole and had the tacos each time: lobster (where have you been all my life?), grilled cod, shrimp. Great flavor, good portion size, different salsa options. Live music on Sundays. I liked that Chef Stephanie was there making food each time I was there. Lost a star because of dessert: I ordered the churros and they were kind of a disaster - gummy in the middle.

    This has become our "go to" place in Woods Hole for fresh, great tasting food. There are a number of regular items on the menu that have become favorites, such as the gazpacho, chicken or lobster tacos and the salads. But, we always keep our eye out for the seafood specials -- scallops, shrimp etc. usually served with a delicious sauce of one sort or another and presented with locally grown greens. The live music on Thursday and Sunday at dinner time makes sitting outside on the deck watching the sunset and sipping a pitcher of sangria really memorable.

    While waiting for our ferry to Martha's Vineyard we stopped for a quick bite. WOW, the lobster tacos were fabulous! We even stopped by on the way back from MV and I had a great lobster quesadilla. It's sometimes difficult to please a Californian with tacos & quesadillas, but Quicks Hole was fantastic. Too bad I'm now back home and 3000 miles away.

    So I grew up in Woods Hole and have seen this place change hands a few times. Reading a few peoples' reviews I got a little upset. First of all it is probably the cleanest est. in Woods Hole (seriously) and yes the food is a little pricey but welcome to Cape Cod but at least it is fresh, as well as local and not skimpy. Try the yellowtail BLT for size it is awesome. This place is a great addition to my town they support a lot of local business' and they are the "greenist" restaurant around.

    My family and I spend some time in Woods Hole a couple of times each summer and finally made it to this relatively new addition to the Woods Hole restaurant scene (I think it showed up in 2011). I would describe the fare as Mexican but with an appropriate nod to its location through the integration of seafood into their menu. I was very impressed with the freshness of their food. The food was delicious; I had the crispy fried beer battered code tacos with corn tortillas and fresh tortilla chips on my first visit and liking this so much returned for a second visit and had the lobster tacos (also with fresh corn tortilla for the shell and fresh chips). On my first visit, I was lamenting not having any salsa for my chips but spiced it up a bit with hot sauce from one of the varieties that they had on their counter. It wasn't until my second visit that I discovered they had a fresh salsa bar right below the hot sauce counter! Wow! Perfect! These salsa's here were just what I was looking for on the first day. The perfect accompaniment for the chips and nice and chilled to combat the 90+F temperatures outside. The salsa was wonderfully fresh and exceptionally executed. The salsa bar is a bit hidden; they have a stainless steel ice chilled built-in cooler underneath where the hot sauces are stored. After my first visit I would have ranked this at 4 stars (knocking one off for no salsa) but this was my error, after discovering that they actually do have fantastic fresh salsa I'm giving this the full 5 stars. The freshness of the food, its look, fair price, and relaxed atmosphere were all just right. This rating is ranking it relative to its class of establishment which is informal, small, quick, counter ordered, seat delivered service. Staff was friendly and prompt. The general attitude of the place seemed just right. Great Job!

    If you want delicious, fresh mexican food this is the place to go in and around Woods Hole. I stayed in Falmouth last week and came here after reading the reviews. I couldn't understand why there are such negative reviews after seeing the menu/prices but when you get inside you will see that its more of a self service or takeout place and most people would expect to pay much less for "fast food". For me and my family is was perfect for our last night in Cape Cod. We had a pitcher of Sangria with their special (lobster mac & cheese) , fried cod taco salad and shrimp tacos. The seafood was fresh and amazing ! The lobster mac&cheese was expensive but when you dug in the whole container was filled with the best lobster we had in Cape Cod. Highly recommend it..

    Quick's Hole is incredible. We had the shrimp burrito and lobster tacos which were both delicious. Moreover, the customer service is fantastic. The staff was very pleasant and patient with our orders. We also accidentally left a bag at the restaurant and got on the ferry. Someone from Quick's Hole ran our bag over before the ferry left. Really above and beyond. i will definitely eat there whenever I am in the area!

    Stopped by here on the way home from Martha's Vineyard. We decided to grab a quick bite to eat before the drive back to Boston. We stumbled upon Quicks Hole, not more than 2 minutes from the ferry. We were instantly drawn towards the live music playing on the patio outside, and the menu looked good so we decided to try it. The live music was great, Iwish we could have sat outside to enjoy it more! It was packed outside, so we ended up at the bar inside. Seating is definitely limited here. Really enjoyed the baja salad (greens, cucumber, tomato, avocado, hearts of palm) with seared tuna on top. Greens were fresh and varied (no iceburg!), and the tuna was cooked a nice medium rare. The menu was creative - the yellowfin tuna BLT and lobster tacos were tempting, but I was in the mood for something a little lighter. I also really liked the salsa bar concept - so many types to choose from. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Definitely would recommend for pre or post ferry food!

    Found Quicks last year and brought 6 other friends this year. Food was fantastic, love the lobster tacos, BLT (bacon lettuce and tuna) wrap. The butternut squash bisque was outstanding. Love the food in this quaint little restaurant. Our server, Danni was a real pleasure and made sure our entire party had a wonderful time, really brought on the Texas charm. Quicks Hole is a small venue near the ferry landing and parking can be a challenge but the food and waitstaff make it must visit on every trip to the Cape. 5 stars for the food and service

    hubby had the lobster roll with basil, I had a bite and it was soooo good. I had a tuna BLT, and it was equally good. We went in right in when they were closing for a bit to switch over to dinner but they still took care of us and brought us out our food, even though we had a rather large group. The staff was cool and laid back. Great atmosphere. Not too bad on pricing, and I liked the outdoor seating. If your waiting on a ferry, this is the place to grab a bite to eat and drink.

    OMG this place is sooo good, I can't wait for the summer when I can go back. Once I ordered the fish tacos but had them put swordfish in them. The fish was so fresh and I love the hot sauce/salsa bar. Its so nice to sit out on the patio and eat delicious fish tacos. This is my favorite spot in woods hole. I wish they always had sword fish because I really hate cod...last time I went I ordered a burrito bowl with black beans and it was awesome!!!! This place is so great!

    We stumbled into this place after we literally watched the 2:30 ferry pull away from the dock. We had an hour to kill and we were starving. We grabbed a couple cold beers from their decent selection and headed to the deck to sit in the sun. We decided on the Lobster Tacos since it was written on the sign out front - we made the right choice. They were delicious and big enough to share. The came with tortilla chips and they have a make-your-own salsa bar. The food was fast and tasty. If you are looking for a quick lunch before you catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, definitely check out Quick's Hole.

    Sat outside on the small patio for dinner: 1. Arugula with jicama, avocado & almonds *with lobster on top - absolutely fabulous 2. sangria - pretty good 3. lobster tacos with chips - very tasty, tortillas stuck to wax paper, good for sharing with a salad or something to go along 4. lobster burrito with chips - good portion lobster, would've been better if we'd put condiments (located out of sight inside below the cutlery) 5. amazingly yummy grapefruit fizzy juice soda...darn, what was that brand... 6. side orders of guacamole for chips - simple but very nicely seasoned. Overall a great first experience. Somewhat pricey but by far the best food we've had in this area all week. I give it a 4 star because we've only eaten here once and the inside atmosphere is rather dark and stuffy... Went a second night and had a similar experience, had the deep fried cod taco which was pretty good too.

    My husband and I came here for a quick lunch just before embarking on the ferry to vacation in Martha's Vineyard. Every menu outside the neighboring restaurants was priced higher than we wanted to pay for a quick lunch, so we kept walking until we came upon this quaint little place. Their slogan is "wicked fresh" and I'd have to say they lived up to it. They have tons of freshly made sandwiches, tacos, and soups, all at decent prices but with good sized portions. My husband and I both got the pulled chicken quesadillas for $8.50 each. We were both impressed when we were given two humongous quesadillas practically overflowing with tender, juicy chicken and melty cheese. It came with a side of sour cream. They have a complimentary fresh salsa bar with four delicious, house-made salsas which we were happy to indulge in as well. For around $17 we both left full and satisfied with just enough time to meander back to our car and board the ferry. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick, delicious, fresh place to eat that won't blow the bank.

    Really good food, fast service, great prices. Although they are known for the Lobster Tacos, which were quite good, both R and I agree that the Shrimp Tacos are MUCH better. The sweet potato fries were also very yummy - you can ask them to replace the chips with fries. We also had the Sangria which was strong with a generous pouring.

    Sweet and crunchy. Soft and warm cod. Crispy vegetables. With a side of nacho chips and fresh spicy salsa. $11. Oh-my-gosh-I'm-in-fish-heaven delicious. The beer-battered fish tacos were one of my guilty pleasures over the summer. It's too bad I finally went to Quick's Hole only a few weeks before leaving Woods Hole, but even as I left town, I picked up some of these tacos for the road. They serve beer and wine here too, along with other mouthwatering fish burritos, salads, and lobster rolls. Yes, it's a bit more than your average taco, but it's well worth the money!! Fresh fish and lobster? Yes, please! It's a small place, so 10 of us had to scavenge chairs from other tables to all sit together inside. You can find additional seating outside. The owner even brought us free cupcakes to our table of 10! My only complaint is that it takes a while to get your food. At least 10-15 minutes, so be prepared to wait a bit. But it's worth it.

    A really old review, but I felt the need to finish it. So after lastnight's horrific dinner at Shuckers, today we played it safe by limiting ourselves to something simple. So we heard the lobster tacos were outstanding here. And to be honest, it wasn't half bad. So what does that mean? It also wasn't half good? I would say it leaned more towards good. I want to give this place 3.5 stars. Since another reviewer gave them 4 stars, but also wanted to give them 3.5, I figure my rating will help get that average. I can't give more stars because of the limited tasting we did, but I can say if you are hungry and want something simple and fast, just try their lobsta' tacos. It's isn't half bad. Just a quick update. We went back to have the lobster roll. It was very good. I'm giving it an official 4 stars now.

    Avoid is my suggestion the place was neither quick or clean. Stopped in because the place looked cool. They could not take a order. I was keep waiting to order because they overcharged another customer (due to a faulty table card). I think it took 10 or 12 minutes just to order. Only one person could take the order at lunch as the other person set up the bar and took phone orders. The place was covered with flies... I kid you not... there was a lot of flies inside (did not eat on the deck.) It also looked dirty - it is hard to believe they promote themselves as a new place. When the food came, it tasted good and looked very good (except for our soft tacos stuck to the wax paper). I would avoid the place. (also they promote lobster but never saw the market price). I would avoid this place in the future.

    I haven't found too much inventive food in this part of the Cape, so I really wanted to love this place. It had a super fun vibe, awesome location and was Mexican-inspired. We'd been in once before just to check it out, but this time we meant business. Immediately I was put of by the sheer number of flies in the place. They were EVERYWHERE. I know it's the summer and the door was constantly swinging open, but with an open kitchen it's unsavory. I quickly got over that when I glanced at the menu. We ordered take out: Wicked Fresh: Arugula with jicama, avocado & almonds $8.95 Sweet Baja Shrimp $13.95 Mojito Marinated Chicken $8.95 Total: ~$33 Pricey - but it's the Cape. Had the food been delicious, I wouldn't haven't minded. But the food was just ok. The salad had completely wilted by the time we got home (~15mins). It had good flavor, but the texture at that point left much to be desired. The shrimp in the shrimp taco were the most delicious I have ever eaten, plump, juicy and well seasoned. I could have eaten those all day. The tortilla on the other hand was gross, flimsy and chalky tasting. The chicken taco was sub par, the chicken was incredibly dry and not well seasoned. I would probably go back and give it a second shot if I was in Woods Hole, had money to burn and was not feeling the traditional fare, but this definitely isn't at the top of my list.

    This place has great food. It surprised the hell out of me, because Woods Hole gets away with serving the worst food. This place has flavor like you don't find in Cape Cod. And they have a cool patio. Somewhat pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

    Went to Quicks Hole with my husband for a quick and light lunch. We split a salad and lobster burrito. I believe the salad was watercress and avocado with a lime viniagrette, served in a taco shell bowl. It was very nice and refreshing! The lobster burrito was tasty. The chips and salsa were good. We had a side order of guacamole. It was fresh tasting with a very smooth texture. It wasn't chunky, but still tasted good. We did think that the prices were a bit high. (Perhaps because of their location on the water and close proximity to the Steamship Authority?) The burrito was a medium-sized burrito, not the oversized burrito that you'd get elsewhere - Anna's Taqueria, Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. I felt that they skimped on the chips. Usually whey I eat a salad from a taco shell bowl, I like to eat some of the shell. The shell here was so-so. I broke a piece off and was all set. Originally, we sat at the bar and took a look at the menus there. We sat for almost 10 mins before I finally got their attention to put an order in. (They weren't paying attention.) And at one point, one of the waitresses bumped into a stack of cups, knocking them to the ground. They lauged about it, picked them up and restacked them...which I thought was a bit unsanitary. I was hoping they'd throw them away, after all, who wants to drink from a cup that's touched the floor? Otherwise, the overall experience was decent. For the most part during my visit to WoHo, there were always folks eating there - and a lot of times, that's a good sign!

    Certainly not what I expected. The food was pretty basic and decent, I guess. The service was chaotic. We waited for 4 take out orders to be filled before anyone even brought us the chips and guacamole we ordered..... it's not like either were being made fresh! By the time we got out food, 45 minutes later, they didn't even have the kid orders ready.... and still no chips! We had to ask repeatedly about when our food would be out. We noticed that people who came in after us had a much shorter wait because there was no take outs. I guess it's shame on us for thinking we should eat there and not get it to go. Don't go if you're in a hurry.

    As I understand it this business was sold late last year and has new owners, expensive prices, inexperienced help and a new decor. We used to enjoy their lobster burritos last year and didn't mind the thrown together atmosphere it had. Tonight we wanted something light, and they now had lobster rolls, for nineteen dollars.... We were thinking for that money must be like a Chart Room roll, so we splurged. Now we live here and expected an overflowing, fresh and tasty snack, additionally so when the order taker said that they were big, bulky as she indicated with an expansive gesture. We opted for a side of cole slaw. Added another order of fries, two smart waters and good to go. Fifty-three dollars and some change, ouch. We took it to go planning to watch the sunset at stony beach. Good thing I checked to see if there were plastic forks in the containers as the order taker seemed a bit addled. They weren't.... The rolls were a major disappointment I would say they contained the equivalent meat of one half a tail of a chicken lobster. They used some flavoring in their sauce and for the life of me I couldn't taste lobster. Stay away from this place till they get their act together, and provide value and some pizazz for these kind of prices.

    I love to sit here in the summer, watch the sunset and eat their vegetable tacos or one of the interesting salads. Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. The sangria is a little sweet, but sometimes that's what you want in the summer. I love that they try to stay local with the food and music. Great place to sit and watch the ferry traffic.

    My husband, son and I were down in Woods Hole on a gorgeous pre-summer day. Looking for a casual place with a great atmosphere. Decided to try Quicks Hole and we were absolutely amazed! The lobster taco's were one of the best meals I've had a long time. My husband loved his cod taco's and he isn't even a seafood lover. The food was so fresh, tasty and plentiful. The chips were fresh crispy and wonderfully salted. 5 stars all around! The view on the patio was great too!

    Like reviewers before me, I split the watercress salad and a lobster taco. I do think it was overpriced (I paid $27 for those two items). I thought both the lobster taco and the watercress salad was good, but not outstanding. The salad's taco shell bowl reminded me of Chili's (not in a good way). They do have great outdoor seating with a view of the water.

    I love finding good food that is healthy, fresh with local ingred., fabulous tasting, owner on premises, AND a cheap. This fits the bill. Our fish tacos were rockin'. Just the right combo of feta infused saucy garnish, fresh shrimp and battered cod, and veggies. Mango salsa and chipotle salsa were both delicious, and the salsa bar had a cover and was CLEAN and sanitary. Three thumbs up.

    After stopping in on a recommendation, I was very pleased with the menu options, small but plenty of things to choose from. The staff is good looking, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the local beers that they feature. I got a small sampling of everything, this is how I like to eat...I tried the chicken tortilla soup, delicious and hot, a little bit spicy which is exactly how it should be. It tasted fresh, like it had been made that day, you can always tell when a soup is store or heat in a bag type and this isn't that at all! I had the nachos with the salsa variety, nice touch. The guacamole is awesome, all of this leading me to think the Chef loves what he/she does ( think it was the one in the bright green jacket?) and really puts heart into it. Entrees: I had a shrimp buritto which was awesome! The fish was piping hot, just enough spice but plenty of seasoning, the rich was perfectly cooked and there was amazingly no mess eating which is hard if you don't roll it right. My friend had the chicken buritto also very good. The chicken was moist, loads of flavor in both of these sandwiches and a pleasant surprise. I saw that they use local farms, purveyors and that is also very commendable and just for that reason you should stop in and give them a try! They also have great bands on the weekends, which I do plan on trying to catch next time I'm in the area...Don't fall for the haters on here, the food is priced accordingly, and you get a great meal for what you pay for!

    If there were half stars, I would give this place 3 and a half. The food here is really good. They have great tacos, salads and burritos. The service leaves a little to be desired. 3 times we have requested no dairy on items and 3 times we have had to send food back and they weren't always happy to remake items (dirty looks, picked cheese out, etc). But the wine and beer is good and the focus on local food and vendors is great. I would definitely check this place out, but don't come expecting great service and if you have special requests, definitely check your food when you pick it up.

    hubby had the lobster roll with basil, I had a bite and it was soooo good. I had a tuna BLT, and it was equally good. We went in right in when they were closing for a bit to switch over to dinner but they still took care of us and brought us out our food, even though we had a rather large group. The staff was cool and laid back. Great atmosphere. Not too bad on pricing, and I liked the outdoor seating. If your waiting on a ferry, this is the place to grab a bite to eat and drink.

    OMG this place is sooo good, I can't wait for the summer when I can go back. Once I ordered the fish tacos but had them put swordfish in them. The fish was so fresh and I love the hot sauce/salsa bar. Its so nice to sit out on the patio and eat delicious fish tacos. This is my favorite spot in woods hole. I wish they always had sword fish because I really hate cod...last time I went I ordered a burrito bowl with black beans and it was awesome!!!! This place is so great!

    We stumbled into this place after we literally watched the 2:30 ferry pull away from the dock. We had an hour to kill and we were starving. We grabbed a couple cold beers from their decent selection and headed to the deck to sit in the sun. We decided on the Lobster Tacos since it was written on the sign out front - we made the right choice. They were delicious and big enough to share. The came with tortilla chips and they have a make-your-own salsa bar. The food was fast and tasty. If you are looking for a quick lunch before you catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, definitely check out Quick's Hole.

    Sat outside on the small patio for dinner: 1. Arugula with jicama, avocado & almonds *with lobster on top - absolutely fabulous 2. sangria - pretty good 3. lobster tacos with chips - very tasty, tortillas stuck to wax paper, good for sharing with a salad or something to go along 4. lobster burrito with chips - good portion lobster, would've been better if we'd put condiments (located out of sight inside below the cutlery) 5. amazingly yummy grapefruit fizzy juice soda...darn, what was that brand... 6. side orders of guacamole for chips - simple but very nicely seasoned. Overall a great first experience. Somewhat pricey but by far the best food we've had in this area all week. I give it a 4 star because we've only eaten here once and the inside atmosphere is rather dark and stuffy... Went a second night and had a similar experience, had the deep fried cod taco which was pretty good too.

    My husband and I came here for a quick lunch just before embarking on the ferry to vacation in Martha's Vineyard. Every menu outside the neighboring restaurants was priced higher than we wanted to pay for a quick lunch, so we kept walking until we came upon this quaint little place. Their slogan is "wicked fresh" and I'd have to say they lived up to it. They have tons of freshly made sandwiches, tacos, and soups, all at decent prices but with good sized portions. My husband and I both got the pulled chicken quesadillas for $8.50 each. We were both impressed when we were given two humongous quesadillas practically overflowing with tender, juicy chicken and melty cheese. It came with a side of sour cream. They have a complimentary fresh salsa bar with four delicious, house-made salsas which we were happy to indulge in as well. For around $17 we both left full and satisfied with just enough time to meander back to our car and board the ferry. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick, delicious, fresh place to eat that won't blow the bank.

    Lobster tacos are great. The fried cod tacos are also great. Here's a hint... get all the fish and shellfish tacos without cheese. The cheese is not that great with the subtle flavor of the beautiful fish also don't order the corn tortillas (super dry).

    Really good food, fast service, great prices. Although they are known for the Lobster Tacos, which were quite good, both R and I agree that the Shrimp Tacos are MUCH better. The sweet potato fries were also very yummy - you can ask them to replace the chips with fries. We also had the Sangria which was strong with a generous pouring.

    Sweet and crunchy. Soft and warm cod. Crispy vegetables. With a side of nacho chips and fresh spicy salsa. $11. Oh-my-gosh-I'm-in-fish-heaven delicious. The beer-battered fish tacos were one of my guilty pleasures over the summer. It's too bad I finally went to Quick's Hole only a few weeks before leaving Woods Hole, but even as I left town, I picked up some of these tacos for the road. They serve beer and wine here too, along with other mouthwatering fish burritos, salads, and lobster rolls. Yes, it's a bit more than your average taco, but it's well worth the money!! Fresh fish and lobster? Yes, please! It's a small place, so 10 of us had to scavenge chairs from other tables to all sit together inside. You can find additional seating outside. The owner even brought us free cupcakes to our table of 10! My only complaint is that it takes a while to get your food. At least 10-15 minutes, so be prepared to wait a bit. But it's worth it.

    A really old review, but I felt the need to finish it. So after lastnight's horrific dinner at Shuckers, today we played it safe by limiting ourselves to something simple. So we heard the lobster tacos were outstanding here. And to be honest, it wasn't half bad. So what does that mean? It also wasn't half good? I would say it leaned more towards good. I want to give this place 3.5 stars. Since another reviewer gave them 4 stars, but also wanted to give them 3.5, I figure my rating will help get that average. I can't give more stars because of the limited tasting we did, but I can say if you are hungry and want something simple and fast, just try their lobsta' tacos. It's isn't half bad. Just a quick update. We went back to have the lobster roll. It was very good. I'm giving it an official 4 stars now.

    Avoid is my suggestion the place was neither quick or clean. Stopped in because the place looked cool. They could not take a order. I was keep waiting to order because they overcharged another customer (due to a faulty table card). I think it took 10 or 12 minutes just to order. Only one person could take the order at lunch as the other person set up the bar and took phone orders. The place was covered with flies... I kid you not... there was a lot of flies inside (did not eat on the deck.) It also looked dirty - it is hard to believe they promote themselves as a new place. When the food came, it tasted good and looked very good (except for our soft tacos stuck to the wax paper). I would avoid the place. (also they promote lobster but never saw the market price). I would avoid this place in the future.

    My favorite restaurant in Woods Hole. Fried fish tacos: can't be beat. So fresh. Light and filling and tasty. Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Lobster Roll: Yea! So good. The basil and pea greens with the lemon aoli make this a even fresher take on a lobster roll. Very sizable and comes with a heaping scoop of tortilla chips or slaw. Tuna BLT: Honestly I can't ever decide what to get when I'm here, but my partner usually gets this wrap and oh my, is it delicious. The aoli, bacon, and tuna are a perfect balance! Churros: Disappointment, so skip those and get another beer. Live music outside on Sunday evenings in Summer. Beware of the line in Summer. Worth the wait.

    We were more than starving, we were very merry. We were very early for our Martha's Vineyard ferry. Quicks Hole was pretty close so we quickly grabbed a table, And ordered up sangria as fast as we were able. We said, "Let's eat !" and our meals came soon; Big fat burritos and a fork and a spoon. Poetry side (apologies to Edna St. Vincent Millay), this local hot spot is worth a visit if you are staying in the area or waiting for a ferry to the Vineyard. You order at the counter, pay up, grab a table number if it is busy and soon you get a great big meal. The coolest thing about this place is the number of salsas and hot sauces they offer, which are just to the right of the door as you walk in. (Love the peach salsa.) Another cool factor is the small outdoor area where music is a key element. The sangria is delicious, and they offer up various beers and wines in addition to a lot of bottled juices. This is a casual spot, where kids and weary travelers are welcome. I was not happy to see our burritos and tacos being prepared by a very nice looking person who used her bare hands. And our burritos had way too much rice. While the burritos are huge, the rice overwhelms any additions and makes the meal more bland and dull than it might have been. Shrimp, lobster and crab are featured on the menu, and you will not leave hungry, as the portions are generous. Each dish comes with coleslaw or chips. I recommend the coleslaw. Nice spot to hang out when you are in Woods Hole for any reason.

    You really cannot ask for more freshness than sitting within feet of the harbor. Not being from the area, it was devastating me that I wasn't going to be able to come back anytime soon to try more of the menu :( Absolutely get the lobster tacos! Albeit, pricey, they are phenomenal. We also ordered shrimp tacos and pulled chicken. All really really good. With my yelp check-in, I got a free gazpacho shooter and that was as you can guess... great! The outdoor seating just rounds out the whole experience Definitely a must must try.

    I heard many great things about Quicks Hole so I have to try them for lunch today. From the outside it looks small and when inside there is enough seating for at least a couple dozen people. They have Fresh salsa to go with your meals in 3 or 4 different flavors. Best part is you can have as much as you want but watch out a few of them got some serious hotness to them. I was tempted to go tacos but when I saw they had the Baja Shrimp in a bowl I had to try it. I LOVED It. It is everything you would get in a burrito but in a bowl and with rice instead of a tortilla. The shrimp were grilled to perfection with a nice flavor. All the fixings tasted fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. I could have eaten at least one more of those bowls before I left. They make homemade chips and would highly recommend ordering them to go with your meal so you can take advantage of all their salsa flavors. I am definitely going back for more at each opportunity I have.

    We stayed at the Woods Hole Inn and decided to try this place for dinner. After a long day touring Martha's Vineyard, we were pleased by the food at Quicks Hole. It's so fresh and nice portions! My husband had lobster tacos and I had fried cod tacos. It's Delicious! I wish we didn't spend money on the pricy food on the island and we could eat real food here. We certainly enjoyed our food and their salsa bar is pretty cool too. The service is good. It's nice to go downstairs and eat and then go back to our room at the Inn.

    I love Quick's Hole. In the last few years I've had pretty much everything on their menu and there isn't anything I don't like. Personally, I don't think the lobster tacos are the best thing, I'd rather have cod. But, the lobster roll is a treat! Yesterday, I went in for a burrito and enjoyed it very much but was put off by the pice tag, $16.53...it's just too much for me and a lot of Woods Hole locals who aren't in the 1% to be paying for lunch very often.

    Horrible dinner on August 23, 2015. Ordered sweet potato fries which came out cold, greasy, and limp. Also ordered Pulled Pork Quesadilla which was so spicy two people in my party had to switch dinners.... and a salad that was supposed to have hearts of palm, mango and avocado but actually had no hearts of palm, and the mango was not prepared correctly and gave me blisters all over the inside of my lips (called Mango Mouth, it is caused by not being peeled correctly). Very disappointing!

    Ordered the pulled chicken tacos, lobster taco, and seared ahi tuna salad. They place itself is okay. Typical local joint with some tables outdoors where people go to grab a quick bite possibly before getting on the ferry to MV. The lobster taco was kick ass. The chicken tacos were okay. Idk...they almost tasted more like pork. My bf, who no longer eats pork, said the same. The salad was pretty awful. It said it was pan seared and supposed to have a crust. Def failed on both. It didn't taste fresh and the dressing was not good. The peach salsa tasted very much like crushed Del Monte canned peaches with some seasoning. Few tweaks and this place would be great. I say stick with the tacos.

    Wow- impressive. A friend brought me here and I feel the love! The flavor are so bright and fresh. I had the pork taco and guacamole with chips - simple but awesome taste- a real treat. The side of coleslaw was the best I've ever had - and I'm not a huge coleslaw fan. Now all other coleslaw is ruined for me. Saw the water and good people watching from the deck. You won't be sorry you came.

    Cafeteria-style restaurant with great food. We had the clam chowder to start, which was lighter than usual, with dill and a bit if spice. I had the blackened fish sandwich, which was excellent. Swordfish served hot and with a sweetish compote. Also had the lobster salad sandwich. Very tasty.

    Great place to stop in for a quick bite while visiting Wood's Hole. Another restaurant owner recommended it to us. We split the lobster tacos which were really good with a lot of lobster. I had a lobster taco at another place on the Cape and was disappointed when it was all slaw. These, however were very tasty. The mixture of flavors in the taco was delicious and refreshing. We washed it down with the Kono Sauvignon Blanc (great pour) & Sam's Seasonal. Very good. Would go here again! Later that evening we walked by and there was live music playing outside with a great crowd that included a super chill black lab.

    Mmmm, Quicks Hole. To me, there is no better way to spend an afternoon in Woods Hole than with a lobster taco and a mason jar filled with sangria on their deck. Their service is friendly, their location is ideal, and their offerings are heavenly. On my last visit I got a sweet shrimp burrito and loaded it with their mango habanero salsa they keep in the little metal flip-container near the cash registers. Lines at Quicks Hole can be long on weekends during the summer, so plan accordingly. Our group of six had to stalk the deck to find seating and we almost didn't get a table that would have sat all of us. Our food took half an hour to come out after we ordered so if you're hungry when you show up you should order something you can take with you to your seat, like their chips and dip to hold you over. Prices, as others have noted, are not cheap but for delicious, fresh, local fare it's totally worth every penny. If you check-in on the Yelp app while you're there they gift you with a complementary watermelon gazpacho shooter to sip on while you wait for your food.

    Incredible location & fish tacos! My friend got the Baja Bowl & said it was to die for! The chowder is pretty unappetizing... it's green and tastes a little funky... if you're looking for New England clam chowder, definitely don't get it. Overall awesome, just wish I'd gotten something besides the chowder!

    Lobster tacos lived up to the advance billing, but the outside deck was filthy and the inside space not much better. Worse still, there was no working bathroom. When I asked them to unlock the bathroom door, they said they couldn't and instead directed me to the public restrooms at the Port Authority a block way. So creepy.

    This is a nice quick place to eat where you order & pay at the counter and they bring out your food. I got the veg bowl which was great. Plenty of zucchini and other veggies and beans. They have a bar menu also. We ate outside and there is seating inside also. Friendly employees.

    This place was awesome!! We had an hour to kill while waiting for the bus back to Boston and Quicks Hole is right down the street from the bus station. Our Yelp check-in got us a couple of samples of gaspacho - delicious! And we ordered the Mojo Chicken tacos, a burrito bowl and the chicken tortilla soup - all of them were tasty, filling and fresh. And the price was extremely reasonable for the portion sizes. The outdoor patio is adorable and so is the inside. We ordered at the counter and then servers brought our food to the table - efficient system overall.

    Yes. Absolutely love this place. Wicked Baja Salad with mojo chicken is right there with the best chicken and salad lunch I've had in past three months. Amelia gave us sangria pitcher. Holy crap. Loved it. I live nearby. I will be back and back and back!!!!

    By far my favorite spot in Woods Hole to grab a bite to eat! Great, friendly service, tasty and fresh, local food! I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and fried cod burritos along with a pitcher of their sangria! It's always an amazing time on Friday evenings with friends on the porch listening to Brothers Rye live music! The only negative I have is that they are only open in the Summer.

    As anticipated, the lobster tacos were great. Plenty of lobster, fresh ingredients. Lobster roll, while non traditional, was also wonderful. If you are someone who gets offended by a lobster roll that strays from the usual style, avoid this one. But I loved the addition of basil and pea greens. The lobster was still the star. The clam chowder was not so great. A little skimpy on the clams, heavy on the potatoes, and just not super. I would go elsewhere in town for chowder, but everything else was lovely, including the fries and lemonade. We got ours to go both times we visited, and the integrity of the food was preserved even after ferry rides. Can't wait to go back!

    The best place to eat in Woods Hole! It was highly recommended by the clerk at Sleepy Hollow, so we checked it out. The upstairs dining room was really crowded and noisy, with a long waiting time, so we found immediate seating downstairs at the bar. This turned out to be a great move, because the bartender was really friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly and it was beyond excellent! Vegetarians will be happy here, as will meat eaters. The portions are generous but not overwhelming. I'll be back next time I'm in Woods Hole!

    This was an unplanned stop as we wanted a quick bite while touring Woods Hole. We scampered up to the second floor and were immediatly seated and tended by the bartender while the waitress was busy. Everyone was exceptionally nice and there were some great people watching experiences as well. My son had the cheeseburger and immediately proclaimed it as the best he's ever had. Since he's pretty picky about his burgers and has only bestowed this comment once before, I take this as high praise. I had the chowder and the "Pig Candy" along with a Loose Cannon Ale and was very happy with everything there. The chowder was one of the best (I've probably tried thirty on the Cape) and the Pig Candy was an amazing treat. We will be back next year when we visit the Cape, for sure!

    Stopped in for a quick bite while waiting for my ferry to Martha's Vineyard. And I am very glad I did. The tacos were AMAZING. Fresh, light and cooked to perfection. I got a shrimp taco and a beer battered cod taco. Both were excellent. Fish was fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. The beer batter on the cod was heavenly. This place is a MUST if you're in the area. Reasonably priced too.

    Still a favorite and thankful to have this establishment as a local, but I can't help but notice that the burritos have suddenly become nothing but rice. And if you remember from my last post, the rice was not my favorite. I will say they've definitely toned down the salt content which I'm happy about. The tacos are still the best way to go to avoid the rice. Lots of restaurants try to add in fillers to bulk up the cheaper part of the meal, but why not the beans then! People love beans. Afterall, they're what define a burrito. I'd estimate the rice makes up at least 50% (if not more!) of the burrito contents. I had to eat 1/3 of the way into my burrito the last time before I even hit any fish. Stick with the tacos!

    Have been going here since the Tavern opened. Recently experienced their brunch offer, every Saturday and Sunday 11:00am - 3:00pm. Well, once again they did not let us down. The meal was excellent and the service equally as good. My wife particularly enjoyed her veggie omelet. This is a great place to enjoy a food & beverage with a view in the Falmouth area...a must particularly if you're taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard!

    I had not one, but two fantastic meals at Quick's Hole this weekend. For lunch i chose the hamburger on the recommendation of the waiter and it did not disappoint. It was juicy, cooked to order and had some nice fresh greens on the side. For dinner I had a roast chicken with the most delicious fire grilled Brussels sprouts I've ever had, along with heavenly whipped potatoes. The server Abby was gracious and responsive to all our needs. I highly recommend it.

    Stopped for lunch before the crowd arrived. Tacos are great - almost as good as the fish tacos in SoCal. Lobster taco was a nice alternative to a lobster roll. Service was fast and friendly (thanks katie!). I'll definitely make a stop here the next time I'm in Woods Hole.

    Awesome, awesome, awesome and awesome. Amazing tacos does not do it justice. We stopped here off of the bike path along the water. Don't let the simple, cape cod counter ordering, water front decor fool you. It's awesome. Had the lobster tacos and the fried cod tacos. The fried cod tacos... My problem with this was there was so much fried cod I had to take some out to eat it. I wish every dish I ever ordered had this problem. The cod was practically melting in each bite; that's how tender it was. Came served in a flour (or corn if you prefer) tortilla with cabbage and some kinda creamy deliciousness. The lobster taco was basically a lobster salad in a flour tortilla with the same cabbage and creamy sauce. Also excellent, but I think I enjoyed the fried cod more. Really just an excellent spot off of the bike path. Would go back tomorrow if I could.

    I'm giving Quicks 5 stars for "as good as it gets on Cape Cod..." ...which is not to take away from the place, just sayin' Anyway I've known about this place for years but never went until a few weeks ago. Man was I missing out all that time. A friend recommended it recently, and until then I didn't realize what type of cuisine they have - I just assumed it was raw bar-type food. I tried to describe it to my parents, without using the word "Mexican" - just because for some reason Mexican isn't their favorite food... I think they associate it with beans and ground beef tacos or something. So the first thing I told them, is that it was one of the best meals I've eaten in Falmouth. Then I made an even bolder statement, that I had the best fish tacos I've ever eaten... I'm not hard to please, but I've also had fish tacos at a lot of good places before, including South Beach in San Diego. We went on a rainy evening the day after Labor Day. It was quiet for sure, partly due to the weather but also the time of year. The service was very friendly and personable. I got a Cape Cod draft beer, a cup of Gazpacho, and then what I called surf + turf: a Grilled Cod Taco and a Slow-Roasted Pork Taco. I expected the gazpacho to be cold as is the tradition, but it still tasted good warm. The tacos were delicious - I went for corn tortilla, against the other reviewers' recommendations - I thought they were fine. True it was a messy meal to eat with your hands, but that's what a sink is for. The flavors were great - the pickled onions, pico de gallo, and the baja sauce. My wife got the crispy Beer Battered Cod Burrito, and she said it was excellent. She was full until sometime the next day, which is rare given her fast metabolism. I like the laid-back atmosphere, after all this is Woods Hole. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes.... good food ;-)

    Cool spot! Ordering process was verrrry slow. Food was not great but not bad either. The salsa was great and made the food taste better. I'm not sure I would return. Definitely expected better. The restaurant also need a good cleaning and more cashiers. Also more expensive then I expected. Taquerias are usually for great food, quick bites, and less expensive.

    Delicious chicken tacos!! What a fun, casual place to eat a delicious, and reasonably priced meal! On Monday nights in the summer they have free, live music. The Max Courtney Duo that we heard this past Monday was great! The sangria was great too! It's not the best place to eat a meal leisurely since the outdoor seating is a little cramped, but it's a great place to hang out for a drink with friends. There's indoor seating too, but it's so hard to be indoors when the weather is so beautiful. Absolutely delicious food - I've been here a few times and always loved the food!

    Ah, California guy on the east coast. We stopped at Quick's for lunch one day based on a friend's recommendation. I am always wary of food with a Mexican flair outside of the SW U.S., based more on my expectations than anything. The food is is very tasty! Not what I would expect "with a Baja flair", but then I live along the coast in Central California. Having said that, I tasted four different dishes at my table and enjoyed all of them! I had an excellent Cape Cod Brewery IPA. Only one suggestion when you eat there: Request flour tortillas for your tacos as they serve their corn tortillas uncooked. Uncooked is nowhere as tasty as they could be when cooked and and it also causes them to somewhat disintegrate when you are trying to eat your taco...

    Not sure if it's a new policy or a fluke, but the burritos and chip servings have gotten a lot smaller since the 2013 re-opening. For a place that's borderline overpriced, the quantity was an important factor in my choosing to come here when I do. Bring back the big burritos with lots of chips!!!

    It was OK but not great. Pro: The waterview from the upstairs tables is great, the wait staff was very attentive, some of the meals like my Mushroom Risotto was very good. Con: Meals were very hit/miss. The Arctic Char was tasty but the meal was cold, the grilled Romaine was doused in sea salt. I think this would be a great place for lunch because the burgers, at another table, were huge and looked great. I'd be willing to try it again, but as stated -it was just OK.

    Located in an unassuming spot just off the main port of the Wood's Hole ferries, if you're hungry and craving Mexican food, then look no further. Once you step in you'll be greeted by a no frills almost divy, college atmosphere. There is also a small area for outdoor seating. I didn't think I was hungry until i read the menu and ended up ordering more than I could finish. I started with the "chowda" which was very chunky and hearty with fresh tasting ingredients. Even with chunks of potato, I was happily surprised that they weren't dissolved into the soup. Then I went with the arugala salad with jicama and seasoned nuts. The leaves were crisp and the jicama was refreshing, however, the nuts could have been seasoned a bit more. My last item was the grilled cod bowl, think wrapless burrito. The cod was well seasoned and not dry but the rice was a bit undercooked. And you can't have Mexican food without a bit of heat. They had counter with a good number of hot sauces and just underneath are containers of salsas and limes for the taking. The staff was young, energetic and very eager to help with any request I made. If I'm ever back at Wood's Hole, I'm definitely putting it on my list.

    This was the perfect way to end our vacation in Falmouth. This fast food/ take-out joint has one of the freshest seafood by far. It's much better than the big name restaurants we tried the last few days in Falmouth and MV. I wished I found this first. We had the lobster taco, the baja shrimp bowl, and the yellowfina tuna BLT, all were excellent. We also had the quahog chowda, which is a little too thin for my taste, but some people like their chowda less thick and creamy. It's preferential. All in all, this is definitely a place you want to try!

    Stopped in while we waited for our ferry. I love when I get so lucky as to stumble upon a place that is so delicious! I had the fried cod tacos. They were amazing. The cabbage topping and the choice of salsas were fabulous and everything was so flavorful.     Great little place right near the ferry. Order your food at the counter and sit down and they bring it to you. We had fish tacos made with fresh cod. Lots of yummy garnishes on the taco and a side of cole slaw. Very reasonable prices.

    Food is fresh and tasty but over priced, especially for two tiny fish tacos. Best buy: pulled pork or chicken burrito for $9.50 or the veggie burro for $8.95 (not including drinks). If you eat here, be prepared to spend $20 at the very least. The ordering system is very strange, too. After you order and pay upfront, you're given a number and table stand thingy to place at your seating location. About 15-20 minutes later, you'll hear waitstaff screaming your number. Then, you walk up to the front counter, give back the number and table stand thingy, and pick up your order. It begs the question...why not send wait staff to deliver your order at your table? This system kinda works during off-hours but, during peak times, the system is so chaotic and inefficient; it's so loud, you can't hear your number called; it's packed so you can't find a table; and those that can't find tables stand around and create more chaos.

    Their shrimp taco is the best I've ever had! I tried the fish(cod) taco as well, but not as impressive as the shrimp one. Super fresh, cooked at the right time, tons of flavor as well. If you go biking along the shinning sea bikeway, you don't want to miss quick hole after a good workout. :) Oh, did I forget to mention their dessert? You'll be surprised how good they taste. Ohoh, did I also forget to mention their different varieties of salsa? yummm!! Can't wait for summer to come and go down there again!

    This is a fabulous "quick hole". A taco and salad restaurant with a bar, it is perfect for lunch. My husband and I wandered in on a mid August Thursday and ordered a lobster taco, a grilled fish taco, and an arugula salad. The fish taco was light and super fresh: pickled onions, cabbage, great fish, a bit of queso fresca and a drizzle of creme. It was a satisfying mound of crunchy, lush pleasure. Try it on the soft corn tortillas. Delicious! The lobster taco had a hint of mayo and was also satisfying. Highly recommended.

    If you're looking for something other than fried seafood this is the place. This is a fun, casual, eat in or take out restaurant. I went during lunchtime and ordered the sweet Baja Shrimp bowl to go. Basically a burrito without the tortilla. It was fresh and tasty. Didn't have to wait long either. The portion size was a little on the smaller size (i.e. this is no Chipotle sized burrito) which wasn't a problem for me, but with America's obsession with getting more for you're money/super sizing, some may find it isn't worth it the $13 price tag. Ill take quality over quantity.

    Rainy day on the cape, so went to visit Woods Hole. This was right across the street from Landfall, but we decided to have lunch at QH as wanted something quick and cheap. Stopped for lunch at QH and spent $39 for two cod burritos, chicken fingers and a hot dog for the kids. No drinks. The burritos were good, but not fabulous. The chicken fingers were like shoe leather, and the tiny hot dog wasn't nearly enough to satisfy an 8-year old boy. For the money, I had expected much more. But, then again, it's tourist season!

    I love Quick's but am putting 2 stars to bring attention to my biggest disappointment about the food and that is the cold "raw" corn tortillas that form the base of the tacos. I noted it on other low ratings from others. Corn tortillas out of the package are edible but not ready to eat. Heating them on a griddle, even a little, warms them and brings out the corn flavor and makes them feel 'cooked.' We make, as well as buy, corn tortillas and NO ONE wants them cold out of the package. We always heat them first. I would pay extra just to have them heated up. Not fried, not dried, not even browned. Just put on the griddle to toast them slightly and warm them up so they don't look like the underfinished foundation of the meal that they are. Try it and taste. You'll see!

    One of my favorite spots on the upper cape. I'd come in a couple times a week for a fried fish burrito and a fountain soda (I'm a sucker for free refills). They're staying open this winter for the first time, and had updated the menu with some interesting things--lobster mac-and-cheese, enormous plates of nachos. Folks that run it are trying their best to be local and creative with the food. Burritos can be a bit dry, but the salsa bar (when they have it up) was the perfect redress--especially the fresh peach. As a regular, I was regularly annoyed that the person at the counter will interrupt you to ask you name as you start to place your order. This must be a function of their order interface requiring that info first, but it needs to change. Also, there is a bit of a bottleneck around the counter where orders are taken, but you have to wade through the line of people waiting to order to get to your food when it's ready. An easy solution would be to put the ready food on the other side of the register nearer the seating area where people are waiting for it. Better yet, hand people a numbered table tent and deliver food to the table (come to think of it, this would solve the whole, "What's you name?" thing, too).

    Word of advice: If you put a bunch of bland things together, it'll just be a ton of bland! I ordered the beer battered cod burrito (comes with chips or cole slaw) for $12, since the lobster roll was a ridiculous $20. It was reasonably large, but filled with barely seasoned rice, pinto beans, cheese (maybe? I couldn't even tell!), and some pieces of soggy, mushy cod. It was a lot of food and I ended up pretty full but I regretted every bite. The only thing making the situation better was the delicious serve-yourself chipotle salsa that I had to put on every bite to make the burrito taste like something. The "Wicked fresh coleslaw" tasted like it had been bought at the grocery store. On the upside, my friend got a Blackened Swordfish sandwich ($17) which was deemed "delicious, but messy". Also, don't call yourself "Quicks" if you're not quick at all! Four people working in the kitchen for a short queue of people, and it still took a good 25 minutes to make a bland burrito! I'm from upstate New York so I am no seafood connoisseur. But I've had much better than this place in Boston proper!

    Ate here three times during a recent stay in Woods Hole and had the tacos each time: lobster (where have you been all my life?), grilled cod, shrimp. Great flavor, good portion size, different salsa options. Live music on Sundays. I liked that Chef Stephanie was there making food each time I was there. Lost a star because of dessert: I ordered the churros and they were kind of a disaster - gummy in the middle.

    This has become our "go to" place in Woods Hole for fresh, great tasting food. There are a number of regular items on the menu that have become favorites, such as the gazpacho, chicken or lobster tacos and the salads. But, we always keep our eye out for the seafood specials -- scallops, shrimp etc. usually served with a delicious sauce of one sort or another and presented with locally grown greens. The live music on Thursday and Sunday at dinner time makes sitting outside on the deck watching the sunset and sipping a pitcher of sangria really memorable.

    My family and I spend some time in Woods Hole a couple of times each summer and finally made it to this relatively new addition to the Woods Hole restaurant scene (I think it showed up in 2011). I would describe the fare as Mexican but with an appropriate nod to its location through the integration of seafood into their menu. I was very impressed with the freshness of their food. The food was delicious; I had the crispy fried beer battered code tacos with corn tortillas and fresh tortilla chips on my first visit and liking this so much returned for a second visit and had the lobster tacos (also with fresh corn tortilla for the shell and fresh chips). On my first visit, I was lamenting not having any salsa for my chips but spiced it up a bit with hot sauce from one of the varieties that they had on their counter. It wasn't until my second visit that I discovered they had a fresh salsa bar right below the hot sauce counter! Wow! Perfect! These salsa's here were just what I was looking for on the first day. The perfect accompaniment for the chips and nice and chilled to combat the 90+F temperatures outside. The salsa was wonderfully fresh and exceptionally executed. The salsa bar is a bit hidden; they have a stainless steel ice chilled built-in cooler underneath where the hot sauces are stored. After my first visit I would have ranked this at 4 stars (knocking one off for no salsa) but this was my error, after discovering that they actually do have fantastic fresh salsa I'm giving this the full 5 stars. The freshness of the food, its look, fair price, and relaxed atmosphere were all just right. This rating is ranking it relative to its class of establishment which is informal, small, quick, counter ordered, seat delivered service. Staff was friendly and prompt. The general attitude of the place seemed just right. Great Job!

    If you want delicious, fresh mexican food this is the place to go in and around Woods Hole. I stayed in Falmouth last week and came here after reading the reviews. I couldn't understand why there are such negative reviews after seeing the menu/prices but when you get inside you will see that its more of a self service or takeout place and most people would expect to pay much less for "fast food". For me and my family is was perfect for our last night in Cape Cod. We had a pitcher of Sangria with their special (lobster mac & cheese) , fried cod taco salad and shrimp tacos. The seafood was fresh and amazing ! The lobster mac&cheese was expensive but when you dug in the whole container was filled with the best lobster we had in Cape Cod. Highly recommend it..

    Quick's Hole is incredible. We had the shrimp burrito and lobster tacos which were both delicious. Moreover, the customer service is fantastic. The staff was very pleasant and patient with our orders. We also accidentally left a bag at the restaurant and got on the ferry. Someone from Quick's Hole ran our bag over before the ferry left. Really above and beyond. i will definitely eat there whenever I am in the area!

    Stopped by here on the way home from Martha's Vineyard. We decided to grab a quick bite to eat before the drive back to Boston. We stumbled upon Quicks Hole, not more than 2 minutes from the ferry. We were instantly drawn towards the live music playing on the patio outside, and the menu looked good so we decided to try it. The live music was great, Iwish we could have sat outside to enjoy it more! It was packed outside, so we ended up at the bar inside. Seating is definitely limited here. Really enjoyed the baja salad (greens, cucumber, tomato, avocado, hearts of palm) with seared tuna on top. Greens were fresh and varied (no iceburg!), and the tuna was cooked a nice medium rare. The menu was creative - the yellowfin tuna BLT and lobster tacos were tempting, but I was in the mood for something a little lighter. I also really liked the salsa bar concept - so many types to choose from. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Definitely would recommend for pre or post ferry food!

    Found Quicks last year and brought 6 other friends this year. Food was fantastic, love the lobster tacos, BLT (bacon lettuce and tuna) wrap. The butternut squash bisque was outstanding. Love the food in this quaint little restaurant. Our server, Danni was a real pleasure and made sure our entire party had a wonderful time, really brought on the Texas charm. Quicks Hole is a small venue near the ferry landing and parking can be a challenge but the food and waitstaff make it must visit on every trip to the Cape. 5 stars for the food and service

    So I grew up in Woods Hole and have seen this place change hands a few times. Reading a few peoples' reviews I got a little upset. First of all it is probably the cleanest est. in Woods Hole (seriously) and yes the food is a little pricey but welcome to Cape Cod but at least it is fresh, as well as local and not skimpy. Try the yellowtail BLT for size it is awesome. This place is a great addition to my town they support a lot of local business' and they are the "greenist" restaurant around.

    Certainly not what I expected. The food was pretty basic and decent, I guess. The service was chaotic. We waited for 4 take out orders to be filled before anyone even brought us the chips and guacamole we ordered..... it's not like either were being made fresh! By the time we got out food, 45 minutes later, they didn't even have the kid orders ready.... and still no chips! We had to ask repeatedly about when our food would be out. We noticed that people who came in after us had a much shorter wait because there was no take outs. I guess it's shame on us for thinking we should eat there and not get it to go. Don't go if you're in a hurry.

    As I understand it this business was sold late last year and has new owners, expensive prices, inexperienced help and a new decor. We used to enjoy their lobster burritos last year and didn't mind the thrown together atmosphere it had. Tonight we wanted something light, and they now had lobster rolls, for nineteen dollars.... We were thinking for that money must be like a Chart Room roll, so we splurged. Now we live here and expected an overflowing, fresh and tasty snack, additionally so when the order taker said that they were big, bulky as she indicated with an expansive gesture. We opted for a side of cole slaw. Added another order of fries, two smart waters and good to go. Fifty-three dollars and some change, ouch. We took it to go planning to watch the sunset at stony beach. Good thing I checked to see if there were plastic forks in the containers as the order taker seemed a bit addled. They weren't.... The rolls were a major disappointment I would say they contained the equivalent meat of one half a tail of a chicken lobster. They used some flavoring in their sauce and for the life of me I couldn't taste lobster. Stay away from this place till they get their act together, and provide value and some pizazz for these kind of prices.

    I love to sit here in the summer, watch the sunset and eat their vegetable tacos or one of the interesting salads. Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. The sangria is a little sweet, but sometimes that's what you want in the summer. I love that they try to stay local with the food and music. Great place to sit and watch the ferry traffic.

    My husband, son and I were down in Woods Hole on a gorgeous pre-summer day. Looking for a casual place with a great atmosphere. Decided to try Quicks Hole and we were absolutely amazed! The lobster taco's were one of the best meals I've had a long time. My husband loved his cod taco's and he isn't even a seafood lover. The food was so fresh, tasty and plentiful. The chips were fresh crispy and wonderfully salted. 5 stars all around! The view on the patio was great too!

    I got a chicken quesadilla and while it was really good, I thought it was a little expensive for a non-sit-down restaurant. But I loved the salsa and everything tasted yummy and fresh. My husband got the lobster burrito and he really liked it. A good place to grab a quick bite.

    Like reviewers before me, I split the watercress salad and a lobster taco. I do think it was overpriced (I paid $27 for those two items). I thought both the lobster taco and the watercress salad was good, but not outstanding. The salad's taco shell bowl reminded me of Chili's (not in a good way). They do have great outdoor seating with a view of the water.

    I love finding good food that is healthy, fresh with local ingred., fabulous tasting, owner on premises, AND a cheap. This fits the bill. Our fish tacos were rockin'. Just the right combo of feta infused saucy garnish, fresh shrimp and battered cod, and veggies. Mango salsa and chipotle salsa were both delicious, and the salsa bar had a cover and was CLEAN and sanitary. Three thumbs up.

    After stopping in on a recommendation, I was very pleased with the menu options, small but plenty of things to choose from. The staff is good looking, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the local beers that they feature. I got a small sampling of everything, this is how I like to eat...I tried the chicken tortilla soup, delicious and hot, a little bit spicy which is exactly how it should be. It tasted fresh, like it had been made that day, you can always tell when a soup is store or heat in a bag type and this isn't that at all! I had the nachos with the salsa variety, nice touch. The guacamole is awesome, all of this leading me to think the Chef loves what he/she does ( think it was the one in the bright green jacket?) and really puts heart into it. Entrees: I had a shrimp buritto which was awesome! The fish was piping hot, just enough spice but plenty of seasoning, the rich was perfectly cooked and there was amazingly no mess eating which is hard if you don't roll it right. My friend had the chicken buritto also very good. The chicken was moist, loads of flavor in both of these sandwiches and a pleasant surprise. I saw that they use local farms, purveyors and that is also very commendable and just for that reason you should stop in and give them a try! They also have great bands on the weekends, which I do plan on trying to catch next time I'm in the area...Don't fall for the haters on here, the food is priced accordingly, and you get a great meal for what you pay for!

    If there were half stars, I would give this place 3 and a half. The food here is really good. They have great tacos, salads and burritos. The service leaves a little to be desired. 3 times we have requested no dairy on items and 3 times we have had to send food back and they weren't always happy to remake items (dirty looks, picked cheese out, etc). But the wine and beer is good and the focus on local food and vendors is great. I would definitely check this place out, but don't come expecting great service and if you have special requests, definitely check your food when you pick it up.

    While waiting for our ferry to Martha's Vineyard we stopped for a quick bite. WOW, the lobster tacos were fabulous! We even stopped by on the way back from MV and I had a great lobster quesadilla. It's sometimes difficult to please a Californian with tacos & quesadillas, but Quicks Hole was fantastic. Too bad I'm now back home and 3000 miles away.
