6 months ago I wrote the below review. I just realized I had the restaurant "Sunny Side" confused with "Sunrise Kitchen" that is next to the RMV. This review was ment for Sunrise Kitchen. I apologize to the Yelp community and most of all the people at Sunny side. Will not go back! Went there "Grand Opening" weekend. Place your food order at counter they deliver food to the table and you never see them at your table again. You are limited to one coffee refill that you have to go to the counter and get it yourself. A free lemonade was offered when we ordered our food (grand opening freebie). Not sure how many people drink lemonade for breakfast. I live in the town and will return to the other three breakfast place.

Had the Reuben and it was amazing, one of the best i'd ever had. Service was there, but not incredible. Had to ask a second time for a side I had ordered and it was cooked up after I finished my meal.

This is a decent greasy spoon style diner. My daughter and I had a breakfast sandwich with peppers, egg, and cheese, as well as a blueberry pancake. The food was ok, though there was only one egg in the sandwich so it was a bit skimpy. It came with home fries, which were a bit underdone. The pancake was tasty - we finished every bite! This place was convenient for a meal after a visit to the RMV, but I probably wouldn't go back otherwise.

My wife and I go here often, almost once a week. The food is consistently good, not the best dinner food ever but well above average. I think I have only ever ordered breakfast so I cannot comment on the lunch food. The hash is standard canned hash, the Belgium waffles are good, my wife likes their omelets and they have a good selection of meats (hash, bacon, breakfast sausage [patties and links], kielbasa, linguica and Greek locanico sausage). I haven't tried the muffins yet but they look delicious and we regularly see people coming in just to pick up a few. The chef is nice and handles special requests easily. I tend to be a picky eater and if I ask for my food a certain way she always delivers. The one thing I expect and require from a dinner is properly cooked eggs and we've had poached, over medium, over easy, scrambled and omelets and they have been spot on every time. They tend to make the hash on the light side but again just ask for it well done if you are a like me a want it crispy on the outside. They only take cash - make sure you stop at an ATM first. The service is good without being overbearing. The place is fairly small a counter with 10-12 seats and 5 booths if I remember correctly. While it does get busy it rarely fills up; when it does the wait is usually less than 10 minutes.

I've lived in Wilmington for 4 years and I finally ordered from here. This place is tucked away and easy to miss. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches to go which were very, very good. The English muffins were perfectly grilled and my ham was real ham and not the usual deli ham. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. I also heard that they are expanding their weekend hours. I'm getting way too old for wild late night snack sesh's but I'll keep them in mind if I'm ever reliving my 20's.

It's a simple little breakfast place tucked in a side street plaza. The food was good (homefries could use more flavor or seasoning), but all was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was quiet, but nice and offered good service. Maybe they read the Jerry B's review because we were offered many coffee refills free of charge. My only suggestion is that they greet you with a smile and a hello when you come in. My mom and I came in and stood there while three employees looked at us without saying a word. One of them finally said "you can sit wherever you like". I am stickler for great customer service!
