Perfect Chinese take out! I love that it's not overly greasy, everything is delicious & their fried rice has the texture of steamed white rice. Definitely my go to for Chinese take out!!!

This place seemed to have good reviews, so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. The food was: meh..Not overcooked, or a chewy "yesterdays rice is also today and good enough for tomorrow's rice" nor greasy, just didn't seem to have much flavor. I love Boneless spareribs, but again, not much flavor, The chix fingers were kinda greasy, but the crab rangoons weren't bad. The General Gao's chicken was NOT spicy, more like Duck sauce Gao's chicken, more sweet than spicy. I've had better food from The Royal Garden (which the food quality has declined under new ownership) My suggestion is going to Mandarin Tokyo Restaurant in Marshfield, however, they don't have dinner specials. This place seems sad, and the food says: I'm depressed, but putting on a front to make you think otherwise. The should spend a buck and at least put a PDF menu online.

We read the good reviews on Yelp and decided to venture all the way to Whitman to check out this place. It's located in an unusual spot off the main path and next to some auto repair places, but it's got a big interior however mostly geared toward take out. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was that it was FREEZING! We had to put our gloves on when we got inside! It was warmer out in the Massachusetts December air. That's not a good thing when you've gotta sit there for 20-30 minutes waiting for takeout, and there is no way anyone would choose to eat in that place. As you walk in there's a counter where you order and the whole kitchen is exposed. The kid at the counter was friendly and it seems clear that he works there for his mom & dad who were also there but maybe don't speak English as well. Either way they were really friendly and even gave us a free 2-liter with our order. We ordered the scallion pancakes which I thought were very good. We also got the spare ribs which were meaty and a good value but lacked any substantial sauce that would make it a repeat order. The crab Rangoon order was plentiful but not flavorful so this wouldn't be out spot for those either. The Peking ravioli were pan seared and I'm not sure there was a steamed option, but they were good if not more oily than we like them as we usually go steamed. We also got the house special fried rice which was a good sized portion. Overall, the food was good and we would go back, but if your thing is crab rangoons, maybe this isn't your place.

The best Chinese food you will be like to find on the south shore. They still give bread with the meals which is nice. They have appetizer style combo plates too. You can get a little bit of everything that way and everyone wins.

Kung Pao Chicken is gross. Tiny bits of chicken swimming in celery with the blandest and mildest sauce I have ever had in a Kung Pao. Seriously Trader Joe's Kung Pao Chicken is better than this and a fraction of the price. It seems from all the positive reviews I just ordered something they don't know how to make. So take this as a warning against the Kung Pao Chicken.

This is our "go-to" Chinese restaurant. They Deliver to Hanson and their food is way better than any of the other Chinese food places that will deliver to us. I think that they cover Hanson and Whitman. They are always easy to order from and deliver in the time frame that they say they will. The prices are reasonable and comparable to like places. I love their Spare Ribs (boneless) and their Pork Fried Rice, but everything I have ever had from them is great and I will continue to order from them!

If I didn't live so close, or maybe if I wasn't so lazy and didn't feel like it was worth it to head for Golden Roll or Waikiki, this place wouldn't necessarily hit the three-star mark. But for convenience and the fact that the food doesn't suck outright, I can give it three. I mean, it's fine. The place looks all but deserted and it's not like they've gone out of their way to make it more appealing, but since the vast majority of their business is take-out, who cares? The food is standard issue--order a combo plate and prepare to scarf down a pound and a half of rice. A large order of Peking ravioli packs plenty of deep-fried goodness. Avoid the crab rangoon. It's like they just show a wonton wrapper a picture of cream cheese and call it even. Chicken fingers are fine (they're pretty hard to screw up right?), though I've gotten a few that clearly sat in the oil bath for too long. General Gao is uninspiring here, and I do love me some Gao. Again, it's passable and that's the best that can be said about it. Oh--make sure you avoid their duck sauce. It's like someone melted jelly. Sweet enough to rot the teeth out of your head at 10 paces. When everything else is closed, I'll stop by South China Gourmet. But it won't be my first choice.

We got quite a spread and everything we had was excellent. Definitely my new local Chinese food place. Food quality is a step above other local places and delivery is just icing on the cake. My personal favorite was the crab rangoons

We ordered two dinner specials. The food was good and the owner is very nice! On the phone i asked for a menu so we could order again, and when he delivered our food, he brought a free big bottle of pepsi! So thoughtful I will deff be ordering again. The crab rangoons taste like straight creme cheese though..

This place is awesome! I am especially happy because my boyfriend lives so close. We tried it last week and found ourselves craving it again this week. The chicken is white meat, also the rangoon and fried rice orders orders are generous. Its always kinda scary trying a new Chinese restaurant because you don't know what you're going to getting into. This place definitely exceeded my expectations, and defies all stereotypes of Chinese take out. The dining room is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is prepared quickly. In fact, its some of the best I've had.

This has been my go to Chinese restaurant since I was a kid. Nothing fancy here, just good food and prices.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
