Great beer selection! Friendly service, cozy inside.

So my bro introduced me to this spot, and I fell in love. I've only been here five times but five good ones :) Great food, awesome beers, great staff, great atmosphere. You can get a beer card and when you fill it up with beers you've tryed you get a plaque with whatever you want on it put up on their wall. If you like good beer and nice south shore people this is a good place to go. Nice crowd, chill vibe, lots of good size tv's. Only thing is that its a bit small and parking can be tight, when the tables and bar are full there is nowhere to stand, so if that happens your kinda screwed. lol

I'm still giving it four stars for the beer selection, but I just have to give a head's up to anyone thinking of going here that the regulars here kind of blow. I went the other night with a friend and we sat next to these loud trashy bimbos with their meathead boyfriends doing shots (WOO-HOO! @6pm btw), playing videogame golf (YEAAAAH! I GOT IT IN!!!) and stuffing "hitz" from Jammin 94.5 onto the jukebox. I've been here a few times and sadly this can be the norm. But I guess the bar is in Weymouth, so that's to be expected. I'm a lifelong resident so I guess I can get away with saying that. The food still blows too, sadly. But the beer selection still makes up for that.

I am going to give it a 4 for the very good draft beer selection, and the nice bartender Heidi who we have had both times we have tried this place. The drafts were all fresh, no crappy lemony taste meaning lines that needed to be cleaned. Did the always great Wachusett Blueberry, Brick House Red. Nachos with chicken ok, no complaints, they were not a 4, but the overall experience was, even with the regulars all kind of eying us as we walked in (there were other couples there so it wasn't the sausage fest kind on glare).

this place is amazingly consistent! great food and awesome selection of microbrews!!! number one in my book

This is the first bar I have ever drank at. (Since before I was 21!) They have an excellent selection of beer, nice patio area but bad service. (You have to really scream to get your drink, which is not fun) I find the clientele here to be a tad "douche baggy" at times and in spite of this (and so-so food) I have a lot of really good memories here and it will always be a special place to me. I recommend you take the 99 Beer Challenge so you can get a plaque with your name on it put on the wall. My Recommendations: Wachusett Blueberry, Harpoon Winter Warmer (my favorite beer ever) and Delirium Nocturnum (you have to be three sheets to the wind to drink Delirium)

This place is a wonderful spot to catch up with the guys after a long day at work. The beer selection is great, and the food prices cannot be beat. the only reason i gave it 4 instead of five stars is the parking situation(very limited street parking if the lot is full then you may have to park accross the street, and it may become very crowded at times for such a small place) other than that i have always had a wonderful time.

  • Alissa M.

Best bar around! Great food, tons of beers, friendly staff. If you drink all 99 beers(not at the same time of course) you get a plaque on the wall (mines in the back 5th one in). There's a great patio outside to catch a game, the only downfall is that they can't play music outside anymore.

  • Daryl S.

Great food, nachos, prices, and service. Crowd is usually good too.

  • Julie C.

Pretty good food here. The burgers will satisfy your craving. Spicy fries are awesome. Place is pretty small with about a handful of high top tables and you seat yourself. About a dozen beers on draft and then a 99 bottles of beer on the wall list. Only downside, it gets loud in here and you almost can't even hear yourself talk unless you are shouting. but with our 4 beers and 2 burgers, our bill came to $40 not including tip. So decent prices. Parking can be tricky but overall a nice neighborhood place to get food, drink good beer and watch the game.

The Union Brewhouse has one of the best beer selections. There is truly something for everyone. The food is cheap and excellent as far as bar food is concerned. Friendly wait staff/bar tenders. Bar tenders are knowledgeable about available beers and helpful in finding something you will enjoy.

    (4)
  • Leland C.

The pizza is great the wings are huge and the buff chicken dip is the bomb. Tons of great beers on draft and a great place to hang out.

  • Terry M.

Cozy, friendly little bar. The beer selection is wonderful and, at least during the winter, the gas fireplace is welcome. The waitress was prompt, friendly and helpful. The food is run of the mill bar food (thus the four stars) - this is not a put-down, but simply a fact being stated for the review. The atmosphere was local bar and relatively comfortable - if you want to be in the crowd, there's room for that and if you want to be out of the way, there's room for that!! All-in-all, we liked this little place and will return again soon as I suggest you do if you're in the mood for one of 99 beers and some filling bar food!!

  • Daniel P.

This is my favorite local bar. Great beer selection with "no crap on tap" My only complaint is the food, it was way better years ago. The last time I was there it took over an hour for nachos, and the were burnt....I'll just stick to the beers. The bartenders are always great.

    (4)
  • Kevin S.

Best spot for draft beers in the area! Great bar pizza and aps as well. My only complaint is that it can get a little crowded.

  • Mallory S.

We went here because we wanted to find a good bar near Quincy that had decent microbrews so Yelp led us to the Union Brewhouse. We were happy with the beer selection.. but I don't recall what the prices were. We were able to get a table for the five of us on a Friday night but not too long after Golden Tee stole the show. We didn't have any food, so I can't give any insight there. Would definitely go back with friends or to try a new beer!

  • David L.

If I lived near this place I'd be here every day...seriously. The fact that it has 99 beers is great and it says to me that they take beer seriously. I've yet to have them all and I probably never will but I do love trying new beers and this is where I discovered one my lifes great loves, Flying Dog Pale Ale. Try the BBQ Pizza or the Marguerita Pizza. You will not regret it! The place is always busy, but it's ecclectic mess of folks including the meatheads and yuppies previously mentioned. There really only two downsides here: It's small and the parking blows. However, during the summer the patio doubles the size of the place and the plaza across the street provides more parking.

    (4)
  • Gina R.

Ordered takeout pizza from Union this weekend. The BBQ chicken was really good, but let it sit for a few minutes. At first, it was really runny but after about 10 minutes, it was like a totally different pizza. The pizza is bar room style so you might as well get one pizza per person!

  • John W.

Great little bar. Good food, great beer list. Tom, the owner is great. Try this place....you will go back!

    (4)
  • Anthony S.

I got 99 beers and a Bud ain't one. PS The steak Cesar salad is awesome.

    (5)
  • Luke M.

The food is outstanding and 99 Beers to choose from (about 73 of them taste like back sweat), there is always something new to try. It's a good spot to watch a game, but It can occasionally be crowded with yuppies.

    (5)
  • Kristin Y.

I've been here quite a few times when I worke down the street. It was the go to place to welcome a new employee or to see one off. Beer selection is huge, the food is typical bar grub, and the place is always busy. Summer time is the best if you can get a table on the patio. The parking lot is tiny and can force you across the street. Just don't die playing frogger across Rt 53!

I moved back into Boston from the South Shore last year. What do I miss most? Union Brew House. Love the bartenders (what's up Dave Mac), the vibe during a Sox game, the outdoor patio, the pineapple and garlic pizza, the huge selection of beer ... sigh.

    (4)
  • Melissa L.

Amazing beer selection. My boyfriend is in the midst of trying to complete their "99 bottles of beer on the wall" challenge so we try something new every time and the bartenders are very knowledgeable in all the different beers. Staff is always very friendly. Food is standard bar food- not great but not bad...except the chicken. Went there with a group once, one friend got chicken fingers and I got a chicken wrap and neither of us could eat it. Pizza and burgers were good though from what I was told. Overall, great hang out to get some drinks.

    (4)
  • Justin M.

Food is nothing special at all, there is no parking the place makes you feel claustrophobic but the beer gave it 4 stars for me. If they didn't have the selection they do I would've given them 1 star but the beer is definitely a huge plus!!

  • Iron Fist Of Beer P.

A cool little bar that has good, rotating craft beer on tap and a good bottle selection. You know me...if a place respects and serves good beer, then I'm a fan. There are some townies of the light beer variety(gross), but I think lots of people come here to get a real beer. The food is good too and is open late. Typical pub/bar food. I went here to watch a Bruins game a few weeks back and got a seat right in front of one of the large screen TV's at the bar. The place isn't very big so it does get packed but if you catch it at the right time you can get a seat at the bar or one of the small tables.

  • Jarrod M.

This place is almost like a 2nd home. Love the staff, I come here with friends at least 2 times a week, the appetizers are great especially the union nachos with chicken and chili!! If you like alcohol, they have that too. Lol

  • Angela W.

We were very excited to see this bar so close to home and popped in for a quick dinner. NOT impressed. The service was seriously lacking and the food was unexceptional. I probably shouldn't have expected too much given that this is obviously best suited as a bar. We were really hoping to find a diamond in the rough where we could have a decent meal without having to think about where to go, and we were disappointed. That said, the atmosphere is ok and the beer selection is quite extensive. I would absolutely return just for drinks.

    (2)
  • Eric T.

I was impressed by this bar. Lots of HD TV's to watch a game on. The staff was quick, and knew a lot about the beers they serve. I only had the chicken casadia for an ap, but it hit the spot. The parking is a little tuff, but now I'm just picking at knits. Good place on the south shore to watch a game and try new beers.

    (4)
  • Corey G.

Typical townie bar, nothing fancy. One of the bartends is extremely rude. I like the fact that they have a beer club, if you drink 99 different beers on the list you get your name on a plaque on the wall. Its different & a fun challenge

    (3)
  • Charlie V.

Great place, best selection of beer they have hundreds of local craft beer. Drink 99 bottles of beer and they give you a plaque on the wall. Best of all I love the friendly staff. Same faces same great treatment. average 5.50 -6.00 dollars for a 16oz. I can drink quite a bit, but after a variety of craft beers you can catch a quick buzz.

Upon arriving in Weymouth (yes, if you live there - I'm now your neighbor. You're welcome), I made it my mission to start trying out local spots to find my new "regular". I do believe I've found it. 99 beers on the wall, literally, but a fantastic (and well-priced) rotating draft list as well. Sidled up to the bar on a Sunday night and found myself surrounded by an eclectic mix of clientele. Some regulars, some 20-somethings, some sports guys hitting up the Golden Tee in the corner, and a couple of the dudes that semi-creep you out while they nurse a single beer, by themselves, in the corner, while staring...seemingly at you, but perhaps also through you...somehow, at the same time. The menu features standard pub fare, but it is well done. The plain chicken wings are super crispy, cleanly fried, piping hot and delicious as is. We ordered BBQ sauce on the side for dipping (great, tangy BBQ sauce), but the wings hardly needed it. Tried the pizza...perfect size, not burned at all, great taste. The cheeseburger was flippin' awesome. I ordered it medium rare...it came out rare. So, if you aren't into your meal mooing, you should probably order up as they do tend to undercook a little. The burger meat had great flavor. So good...and so juicy...that I didn't actually use any condiments (no ketchup, no mustard, no mayo...NADA). I inquired about starting the 99 Club, but they are currently re-doing the list as a number of breweries are being removed as they cannot get the beers anymore (e.g., Bear Republic...sad face). So when I go back (and I will...), I'll officially begin my quest to become a member of the 99 Club and get that plaque on the wall!

Came in with a black DJ friend who's very popular down on the Cape. Nobody really seemed interested in seating us, found a table with some leftover coasters and some water on it. Asked if we could sit there, "Sure, go ahead" Sat there for a bit. Waitress ran a bill, walked past us, made eye contact with a table that clearly had just been seated, and walked past. Walked past again. Walked past a third time over to another table with some frat boy types and started chatting it up with them instead of acknowledging us. I've waited my share of tables from private catering to Red Lobster and it takes 5 seconds to say "Sorry folks, I'll be right with you" We weren't even granted that courtesy. She openly made eye contact with us and kept walking. And by the way, if you can't tell, I'm white. Maybe because he was the only black man in the place? I don't know. In fact, I almost never leave Yelp reviews, but we were starving and thirsty after a long day and this establishment could have taken advantage of that, and instead ignored us. Considering that this DJ is currently involved in a federal trial involving six white police officers beating the shit out of him, I found this behaviour to be quite suspicious. We just wanted some beer and some food and I planned on leaving a huge tip. Instead, we came in, were ignored for over 10 minutes, and went over to the Asian restaurant across the street where we were sat immediately, given a menu and asked what we want to drink. I left a $7 tip on a $20 bill. The bartender barely spoke English but spoke to us more than anyone at the Union Brew House. Your loss. The only thing brewing at the Brew House is #racism

Been coming here for years. Great local place for food and beer. Always a great selection on tap as well as bottles. The best wings on the South Shore bar none.

  • Steven H.

Will keep this one short because well not much to say. The people of Weymouth dont have many choices for beer bars so when I see reviews that say "best beer bar" and best beer list" I giggle. Its pretty run of the mill in terms of the modern day beer bar, head to Flynns Irish Pub, NOSH or Speedwell and get better food and just as good and in the case of Flynns a better beer selection. The bartender was about as knowledgeable about beer as my mother. I asked about his thoughts about an IPA and I got the cliche and cop-out response of "it's balanced"...WTF really? His personality sucked and he spent all his time talking with the lush downing vodka and soda waters than making sure his guests had been taken care of. If you're a budding business owner looking to open a beer bar on the South Shore then open it next door to Union Brewhouse and then in six months buy their land for more parking.

  • Matt D.

The best food and the best beer for sure. I've been to a lot of restaurants and bars and this beats all of them. The prices are very good also. The owner Tom is always around to make sure everything is good. Service is excellent too. I go at least once a week!

We wandered in before going to see a band down the street. The food was okay. I suspect that you really shouldn't go here just for the food. If you are a fan of draft beers, you will love this place. As I don't drink, I will keep my review to the food. We ordered some chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce. I found them a bit tough and had a bit of a hard time chewing them. They were just okay. We got the brewshetta, their take on bruschetta. it was large and more like a margarita pizza than bruschetta. It was the best thing we ordered, but I didn't love it. My guy got a pastrami sandwich with spicy fries. He liked it well enough. The service was friendly and attentive. If you are a big fan of fancy draft beers, this place will thrill you. It's a real local's place, pretty friendly, however.

  • Tom M.

The beer is amazing and the pizza is just as good. Great beer drinking vibe, as they have over a hundred beers available. Decent patio, which is great in the summer. Service is generally pretty awesome too. Best beer bar around. Check it out. Jump on the 99 club to get a plaque on the wall

  • Erin L.

Nice place to go in the summer time with the outdoor back patio. Good food and drink!

  • Johanna G.

As mentioned terrible parking. Beer is good food is okay. Staff is terrific, especially the manager. Clientele, we redneck the nights we went and one gentlemen , word used loosely made a racist comment to my boyfriend and was promptly tossed. Due to that I will not frequent this place again,

    (1)
  • Paul P.

The real reason to walk in the door is the extensive beer selection at an insanely reasonable price. I've yet to find a better price for a fresh craft pint. Fresh is the word for sure, I've been lucky enough to have a pint of Be Hoppy here that was less than a week old. This place is homey, and you should expect everything that comes with it. Casual and relaxed, which is what craft beer is all about. Don't come in here thinking you'll get Ruth's Chris service, especially when it's busy or there is a sporting event on TV. The food is great. I look for a healthier solution that isn't just a salad at a bar. I get the chicken caesar wrap, ordered with blackened chicken and no dressing, and substitute fries for roasted carrots (which are my favorite part of the meal). The steak tip salad is also very good. Lastly, they have a 99 beer challenge. A beer from each one of their selected 99 breweries, finishing will get you a plaque on the wall with whatever message you like and a t-shirt.

For the neat freak beer nut who wants to run with the locals, staple yourself to a stool at Union Brewhouse. Upon entry: "Oh man, are you kidding? It's just a Weymouth pub. Great." Upon peeping the extensive brew list, including 20 taps and 99 brands bottled: "Um, what? This is, like, a micro citra hopped in the seedy underbelly of Bowling Green, Kentucky. How are they carrying it here? I bet they charge $10 for a pint... Upon seeing the prices: "... it's only $6? A ROUND ON ME, MY BROTHERS!" Upon drunkenly reviewing the menu: "Deez hannles aren't gunna love themselfs away, yknow? I would like a salad. A Caesar salad. With steak tips annuhnuther beer peez." Upon being rejected: "Okay an oranje jooz peez." Upon sobering up following a montage of folic acid: "Holy shit, this salad is big, fresh and crisp, with tender Romaine and a lemon-heavy dressing that works well with the 6oz of sirloin, seasoned and seared atop the bed. (Editors note: the kitchen sends out slightly under temp. Order up a level.) And it's only $12? That's a meal. May I have one more pint, my good sir?" Upon backsliding in to a lightning fast inebriation: "Somemuddy call me a cab. I'm gunna go to Cennuhfolds!" Upon receiving a backhand from your fiancee: "More oranje jooz peez." Just a really outstanding brewhouse with well above-average fare and a dynamite tap rotation, earns them an easy 4.5 stahhh. Ask about the plaques on the wall!

I absolutely love the Brewhouse! They have great beer selections that is always changing and great staff. My favorite waitress is Tarcilla. She gets our food out piping hot and is attentive no matter how busy she is. It amazes me how she can literally tend to 5 tables , take orders without writing it down and get it right! - Best bar in Weymouth. Great bar food-great people- Highly recommend it. Just don't expect to get a seat at 8p.m. during any big sports broadcasting event. You might want to come a tad early.

"After party pleasure" After our annual wine tasting each November & April, our wine group flocks to the Brew House. Although this is NOT a place for wine lovers, it IS a place for camaraderie and nachos, not to mention great cheese burgers & beer. As I am not a beer drinker,I get by on gin & tonic but the beer lovers in my group swear by the multiple varieties of local & imported beer. The service here is top notch, bar staff (Artie) extremely attentive and the food, albeit the bar variety, makes this wine lover want to keep coming back despite the lack of drinkable wine.

My recommendation, "Go somewhere else". Warren Place is a good one. I am writing this review 13 mins after I have departed from this bar. The service that I have received here was that terrible that I had to go straight to my laptop as soon as I got home. Today is a TUESDAY NIGHT. It was not packed; there were 13 or 15 people in the entire place. After 10 mins sitting at the bar, tell me why I had to tell a server, NOT the bartender, that I wanted something to drink. Her first question to me was "Did you want something to go?" Was I NOT allowed to drink there because I wasn't a regular?? The only reason why I'm giving this place a 2 stars is because the bartender refilled my water, (which I had to flagged down the server to get me the 1st glass of water). I've always wanted to try this place, but after tonight, I'll pass. All I wanted was someone to come up to me and ask, "What can I get for you?" and ""is there anything else you need?" That is certainly not something that I got from here.

Great atmosphere, AMAZING craft beer selection, and you can spend hours reading the plaques on the wall of everyone who's finished the 100-beer list. Seriously, where else are you going to get Bourbon County for $7? We like to come in and watch the Pats games on the multiple TVs with our friends, and the food is always great and quick to come out of the kitchen. Try their pizzas; you won't regret it!

  • Shannon S.

Food was to be expected -- standard bar fare, i.e., greasy, cheesy and devoid of any nutritional value. With that said, it is exactly what I crave when I'm coming in for a few afternoon beers and appetizers. We went with the nachos which were decent. They had LOTS of cheese on them, which isn't a complaint, but under the pile of cheese, there was little else. Some jalapenos (which I dig) and I think some tomatoes? We had chili on the side and I found that to be A-OK.. perfect for dipping chips but probably wouldn't order up a bowl by itself. So these stars are really for the atmosphere and the beer selection. Yes, they have 99 bottles of beer available as many reviewers have mentioned but they also have a pretty great (rotating they say) draft list. And the atmosphere? Divey/sports bar/townie place yes but still cozy and comfortable at the same time. I'm sure the "scene" is different in the evening but at 2 in the afternoon on a holiday Friday, it was pretty much a mixed bag -- 20 somethings, 30 somethings and on up from there. Looking forward to going back, ordering up another brew and trying the buffalo chicken nachos.

The way amazing beer selection (no where in the south shore has a better beer list), awesome jukebox and amount of tvs around the bar make this neighborhood "dive" stand out among others. Bartenders are quick and efficient no matter how busy. Great place to grab a few beers and apps to watch a game. That being said... The food is just ok. The pizza is often undercooked and under a pile of cheese which makes it soggy and doughy. Ask for it "well done". The fried apps are pretty standard - salty, greasy goodness. Parking can be a huge pain and may result in a game of human Frogger with you trying to cross Rt 18. With the Bruins game on, The Gaslight Anthem on the jukebox and a "well-done" pizza, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

This is one of my favorite bars on the South Shore! Amazing, AMAZING, selection of brews! If you go and enjoy it make sure you ask for a 99bear card for your next visit! So many options and just an amazing array of new things to try. Also they have the WORLDS GREATEST quesadillas! I can't help but get one when I'm there. I've also told many friends about them and they agree! The food in general is good but the quesadillas are THE best! Friendly staff, great patrons, indoor and outdoor seating, all the sports! Parking at the bar itself is minimal but you can park right across the street at BSC, or Advanced auto. @Johanna G. I don't know how you can compliment the place itself and then rate with 1 star because of a patron, who you stated the bar removed because of his/her comment. "Beer is good food is okay. Staff is terrific, especially the manager." - Johanna G.

Stay away from this place when it's crowded, they Screwed up my order and made me wait a long time for A replacement, took it to go and tossed it it was greasy And I really got no apology and was charged full price after Waiting 40 minutes and being told it was my fault Because I was In a hurry ?? What a disappointment... They made no effort to replace their mistake in a timely Manner....

Union Brewhouse is a wonderful, though I feel, relatively unknown to most. . . pub, right off Route 3 in Weymouth, MA. Easy to miss! I accidentally drove by without ever seeing the outdoor sign, whoops! Let me tell you. The outside of this bar is ridiculously deceiving. From the somewhat limited parking lot the pub looks tiny, leaving the first-timer unsure of if there will be any room at the bar for anyone but the regulars. Open up the front door and you are transported into the warm atmosphere of an updated bar. Very spacious! Advertised as 99 bottled beers and 17 drafts to choose from, Union Brewhouse is not lacking in their selection. Click here for a sample of their beer list: unionbrewhouse.com/beerc… Sat at a small table near a fireplace (of all things) and enjoyed some of the most delectable bar food I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in. Shared a "Union Pizza" (topped with cheddar, bacon, hamburger, and bbq sauce drizzled in a spiral formation) and a "Brewhouse Burger" (topped with ham, salami, and American cheese) with a friend. Delicious! Younger crowd than I expected, chatter filled the room just under the sounds of classic and hard rock filtering out the speakers. Outdoor patio area for those warm summer nights. Televisions out there to watch the games! Really opens the place up. I would like to return here on a busier, later night. . . got here kinda early due to starvation.

Nothing out of the ordinary here, except for being one of the only South Shore bars to feature my favorite summer brew on draft-- Wachusett Blueberry Ale. And yes, they throw in about 20 fresh blueberries before pouring. A smidgen tart, crisp and only slightly sweet, the trip here is worth it just to give this ale a go. Plenty of other beers to choose from as well (100 bottled, 17 on draft). Food is your basic bar food-- burgers, sandwiches, etc. If you've picked up a case of the late-night munchies, Union Brew House has a special 'midnight menu'. There's a nice patio in the back for warmer months, and a fireplace inside for the cold ones. Service is always fast and friendly. Just a terrific cozy pub!

Horrible place, I used to go here when I was working on the South Shore before the nights Shenanigans. Great Exterior, nice Interior. But don't be fooled this place is a black hole. Some real shady characters come in here along with a good share of lesbians. It's more of a local hangout after 4pm. The food is sub-par microwave. And the 99 club is a bust. I drank all 99 beers on the card (some really good and some made me want to hurl) and when I redeemed my card to get my plaque they "lost my card", talked to the owner and he was like whatever guy. Are you kidding me? Are you (verb) kidding me? Unacceptable. The owner is a (adjective) (noun). I will never set foot back in here. Words that come to mind about this place...High School, Douch Baggery...From the staff to the bouncer to the customers.

My food was delicious ( I ordered buffalo chicken nachos as a meal) and the beer selection was good. There were a few things listed that were out but the two guys behind the bar were friendly and knowledgable so the trip was worth the 4 stars!

The best beer bar south of Boston hands down. Top notch draft selection and over a hundred different bottles. They also have a solid burger, nachos and pizza. In the Summer time they have a little patio out back where you can watch the games and relax. If you like craft beer this is your spot.

From the outside, "The Brewhouse" as it's known by the locals looks exactly like you think it would inside. Small with limited seating, a few flat screens, a digital jukebox and your standard peices of Boston Sports flair. That is until you get the beer list. A few reviews mention the beer selection was "decent". If you consider 99 different beers decent, than it's exactly that. The next you notice is the very attentive staff that have a great knowledge of the beers and an even better memory. Then menu is extensive and very good... for pub food. You can't go wrong with the Union or Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the burgers are always a big hit. Great after work, weekend night pre-game, or Big Game sports watching. Tends to get busy so personal space is a premium but if you can snag a spot at the bar, settle in for the night.

I am the last person that will ever enjoy a townie bar... In Weymouth none the less, but the first time I came here, I remember being nicely impressed. It's relaxed - no one is there to impress anyone, just meeting up with friends for some beers. No fads, no drama, no snootyness. This is the kind of place I would totally go wearing my 6yr old ripped jeans, sneakers, and no make-up. And I would have a blast because I am there to enjoy my friends along with some beer. They have a large selection of beers, thankfully, as I really am not a Miller/Bud/Coors Lite kinda girl. I'd much prefer the heavy stuff, along with the flavor and the calories. They have a patio out back with tables and chairs which is great to just sit outside on a warm night, smoke a butt and drink my beer. No frills, no shenanigans, just meet your friends for a drink and call it at that.

Not a bad place to go if you're stuck on the south shore. The beer list is large but not very adventurous. Still, i usually see one thing i haven't tried before. Decent TVs at the bar itself. It gets very crowded, so you might be stuck standing for a while. The food is okay. I had a pretty basic grilled chicken sandwich that was nothing special. My boyfriend has teryaki wings here that he really liked, I opted not to try them because the dark brown color of them is a little unsettling. For a beer it's a good option because there aren't a lot of beer bars around here, but i would probably eat dinner elsewhere.

I just moved to Weymouth and was happy to find this little diamond in the rough. They have a good selection of beers, a nice patio area and a relaxed environment. The place is well kept and the prices are reasonable. The only complaint is that it is a bit small and can get rather crowded at times. If you live in Weymouth and don't want to drive into town, you could do much worse than the Union. Don't confuse it for a nice bar in Boston... but considering some of the horrible bars around that they compete with is why they get four stars.

I've been a here a few times with friends, and we find it to be extremely relaxing to just chill out on the patio. This place has 99 bottled beers, and about 15 beers on draft. I love the watermelon beer here! I've had a few appetizers, including their original nachos with chili and their chicken nachos-- both quite tasty. Their pizza was also really good...a little greasy, but decent for bar food. :) Average beer prices ($5-6), but I like to treat myself once in a while. I'll be back here, for sure. For my "Nacho Average Reviews" list: 4.5 stars

Good place to go once in a while. I'd rather not relive the "good ole high school days" every weekend. The parking lot is tiny, but the beer selection makes up for it! And I love how sarcastic the bartenders are :-)

I only went here for my friends birthday on a Friday night. Upon arrival my boyfriend and I noticed there was absolutely no parking, so we figured this must be a good place. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience mostly because of the crowd. We were greeted by a 'bouncer' who asked for our ID's which is fine but we had to squeeze through people just to find our friends. It was unbelievably packed and small. Almost immediately a waitress rushed over and served us which was nice and unexpected considering the crowd. The crowd itself was mostly older and the music was awful. Bottom line: I wouldn't have gone here if it wasn't for my friend but if you love beer and don't mind rubbing elbows with people then check it out.

If your looking for a terrific beer bar with some fantastic micro brews with a great view of the big screen tv's whilst noshing on some terrific upscale pub food then this is the place for you! Ask for Tom the owner, he's a beer geek (affectionate term!)

Best Dive Ever. Great beer. Cheap, tasty, bar food. Really friendly staff. What more could you want?

Food is below average to average pub fare but man do they have a ton of beers for suburbia!

I love the selection of beer here and the woman bartender is great! It is hands down the best beer bar on the South Shore. The food is good pub style food and everything is reasonably priced. The only shortfall of this place is that is rather loud when crowded. And it is crowded most of the time. If you like good beer and can withstand some noise you will love this place!

Alrighty. I was drawn to Union because of its ambitious beer selection. I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur, and appreciate the venue that chooses such an undertaking. However, any beer lover knows that a critical component to beer dispensing is having clean beer lines so that the quality and taste of the beer can be appropriately appreciated. Yeah, well, Union. You need to clean your lines. And shame on you for not having done so apparently, ever. Of the several beers we tasted, each one tasted like Bud freakin heavy! What's the purpose, then, of having dozens of beers when they all taste the same? I will duly note our server, a young lad apparently named "Danielle" (according to our check) was lovely and enthusiastic. Cheers. But sadly, unless I hear that Sam Adams has come to lay the smackdown on the dirty beer lines, we won't be back.

I go here almost every Tuesday and love it. The beer on tap is great and so is the food. The waitstaff and bartenders are great too. Has been in Weymouth for as long as I can remember and hope it always stays

From the outside it doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. The small bar hosts about 10 tables and a bar that sits 20. There's a patio in the back that has another 10 tables with umbrellas and a couple more TVs. Several flat screen TV's join beer/brewery paraphernalia on the walls as well as presumably hundreds of plaques from members of the 99 Beer Club (drink 99 beers on a list and get your name and quote on a plaque). Normal varieties of pub food: Burgers, pizzas, nachos, etc. They're all quote good, especially the pizzas and buffalo chicken nachos. And now the reason I drive 40 minutes every weekend to this bar: the beer. Arguably one of the best bottle and draft lists on the South Shore. They stock about 100 varieties of craft and import bottles and boast 17 taps all dedicated to craft beer. Bud, miller, coors, etc is also available in bottle form and the bar also has a fully stocked bar including wine. As far as what kinds of beers, expect to find a handful of New England locals: Sam Adams, Harpoon, Berkshire, Long Trail, Smuttynose, Allagash, Mayflower, Blue HIlls, Ithaca and Southern Tier. Also expect to see beers from Sierra Nevada, 21st Amendment, Boulder, Heavy Seas, Dogfish Head, Stone, Rogue, Left Hand, Ballast Point, Oscar Blues and many others..

They have the best beer list on the south shore. Over 100 varieties. Althought they only carry one smuttynose brew (brown ale) it does not effect their perfect rating.

I only like going to this bar in the summer because there's a patio. The food is cheap and looks pretty good. But the bar is way to small and get's very crowded. They don't have any cheap or light beer on tap and if you ask for it the bar tender is likely to make fun of you. Don't go unless you're prepared to run into everyone from high school. I don't hate the place but I would rather go someplace else.

Food is typical pub grub, but watch out as service is usually very slow.

Love this place. Great pub food and beer beer beer!!! Staff is friendly, from what I've experienced. The outdoor patio-NOT facing traffic!- makes it just about perfect in nice weather.

as a semi-regular here, i take exception to the reviewer that says the locals kind of "blow". I think this place is extremely friendly and not a "BEER AND A BEATING" bar. that being said if you are a bud or Coors light ,lite drinker this place is still great. however if your thing is craft beer this place is a mecca. Tom the owner knows craft beer and serves it well. 17 taps and a cask pump, along with 99 bottle club, you have something new to try every time you walk in. the staff is the best and nicest people i have ever met.while the place seems small from the outside, there is more room than it looks. It does get crowded some nights. standard pub food that is good and cooked to your liking. try the pastrami sandwich, its always on special.

Where is Gordon Ramsey? This place needs a good swift kick in the arse. They have one of the better beer lists in the area, but suffer greatly on the culinary side. If you are serving fine, hand crafted ales, porters, lambics, and the like, you should expect a more sophisticated palate than the typical budweiser crowd. The menu shows no diversity. There are a lot of dishes all based on the same few ingredients i.e. chicken, burgers, pizza. Only 2 hot entrees? Are you kidding me? As for the quality, it appears, they back up an Agar truck, unload it into the freezer, dump it in a fryolator, then onto a plate. There are no real choices for vegetarians, and certainly nothing healthy or fresh( fresh being the key word here). To be constructive, I would suggest hiring a real chef or consultant to turn a great idea into a great restaurant. I really want to like this place. I Love real beer, but it takes more than good beer to make a good experience. This is so close to being a good restaurant, but the owners rest on the Laurels of a decent beer list. Perhaps the owners should visit the Sunset Grille and see how it's really done. And, to all of you people who keep calling this place great, STOP ENABLING! Please demand more!

99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer... if you tackle all 99 (not at once!) a plaque will be put up on their wall in your honor. Great little bar in Weymouth. They have an outside patio which is open during nice weather, complete with TVs to watch the big games. Their pizza, steak tips and buffalo tenders are great!

Fun place, many beers, good food, nice staff. We had the wings which were juicy, nachos were fresh and tasty, and sweet potatoe fries which we gobbled up. I am definately going to be back very soon!

Decent food and beer. I'd give it 4 stars if it weren't for the clientele being (mostly) total meatheads.
