Another First to Yelp for Robert, but sadly, it was horrendous. 25 Copeland St. is the legendary location of several failed Chinese restaurants. Charlie NG's was there for years shoveling out inedible swill, and after they went under we were treated to a series of others, Dragon Something, Maple Garden, and most recently Hot Pot. Hot Pot I thought put out a decent plate ( I never tried the actual Hot Pot feature, we did entree's ), but it didn't align at all with what Grandma is looking for so it did not make our list. What killed them though was their price point, $ 25 lunch buffet does not work in Brewer's Corner, a neighborhood noted for folks sitting out on the steps in stained sweat pants. All the other places offered the same to me totally unacceptable junk chinese food. My expectations for this place were very very low, because they did not do a grand opening with wreathes, flowers, and Bhuddas, no fliers were mailed, they just did a slap dash remodel and turned on the neon "Open" sign one day. As I waited by the way I peeked behind the elegant sheet that hangs at what was the door to the dining room, and was shocked to see a crib and furniture. PORK FRIED RICE: 1 STAR Abysmal. SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN: ZERO STARS. Without question the worst sweet and sour chicken Grandma has ever been served. Usually when this dish is mangled, it is heavy dough chicken fingers and bright red sickly sweet sauce. This sauce had a strange off taste to it BEEF AND BROCCOLI: 1 STAR The usual chewy saddle leather. This place is going to wipe and and quickly. The local creature features who loiter outside the nearby 7-11 aren't even going to like this joint. It is a tough location with limited street parking; Hot Pot cut a deal with a lot across the street but the previous places did not, and it is gated. I would suggest that in order to succeed here, one might want to put out really good food at reasonable prices like Pan Asia in Braintree, or Great Chow did years ago before their long term and permanent sucking began. ADD COMMENT: The two high reviews that popped up after mine should be filtered as they are obviously false responses. What we were served was epic bad, not just a little off, not just an off night. All four went into the trash barely touched, something I can recall happening since pre Yelp. The authors of these reviews ought to hang their heads in shame. I hate bogus Helpers. Scroll through my 350 reviews and one might notice a certain air of authenticity. I may have a favorite Chinese place, but I was hoping greatly that this one closer to my house would be halfway decent and would have been happy to report such. Instead it was shockingly bad, as it will be for you should you give it a shot. EDIT / ADD: The ridiculously Fake Yelps do not change the way the food tastes. I invite you to dine in this Dumpster, and then, if you are Legit, msg me about your experience.

Had lunch at this place. It was the worst food I have ever had. All the bugs Roaches crawling around this dirty restaurant made me so sick. Will never go back again. The little man that owns and runs this place looked like he had not showered in many days, weeks All in all very bad experience

Over all a good experience. I'd do a 3.5 if I could, it wasn't amazing but it was good and I would order from them again. We ordered and they were prompt. The portions were good, especially the pad thai, it was huge, we ate that for days. The fried rice is good, pretty flavorful but not over the top with too much flavor, just what I was looking for. The crab rangoon were ok. I really like when the corners are crunchy, theirs weren't. But it was still good crab rangoon. I was surprised the reviews here are so bad, I had a good experience.

Got take out last night. Food was completely under seasoned and unremarkable. Soon after eating my stomach became very uncomfortable and was nauseous. It's been 24 hours, I can't sleep and can't stop being nauseous. I recommend that you stay as far as you can away from this place. Horrific.

I've ordered here before and thought it was decent enough for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, nothing too spectacular, overall good. I would have rated my previous experience a 3 1/2 stars. The following was from that previous experience. I ordered hot & sour soup, a favorite of mine, but this one wasn't. It wasn't cooked enough for that thicker broth consistency, it was and tasted too watery. Orange flavor chicken was good, but there were bits of orange peel mixed in & I had to continuously pick them out. The dough on the chicken was different, not a solid chunk of chicken, but little pieces fried together in the batter. There were a few bites that had too much batter & not enough chicken in them. The batter isn't the typical doughy batter either. Some of the combo meals come with a small lomein. The noodles were good. Since I had eaten here before, I knew what to expect, so I wanted to try again and ordered delivery this time. It arrived at about the expected time and the food seemed better hence my increased rating. This time around I ordered: General Gau's Tofu. Usually tofu has a not too flavorful custard quality, but when it's fried it has the taste and texture of fried egg (w/o the yolky center). I liked the crispy, chewy texture and the spicy General Gau's seasoning was tasty. There was a good portion of steamed broccoli too. Sautéed pea pods were yummy, not overly cooked in a heavy brown sauce. I don't know why, but I was pleasantly surprised with the added mix of sliced celery and carrots. The sauce was a little on the salty side. Peking ravioli was your typical tasty dumpling. Not too doughy, nice crispy outside, not soggy. The appetizer combo was good too. The pork fried rice was really good, lots of pork chunks & chopped onions, good flavor, not dried out or overly cooked. Total w/delivery was~$40
