Don't go for the buffet. Thats not saying the buffet is bad, the choices are great on the buffet, but for the money order off the menu. Maybe its just me but I don't like eating food thats been sitting out all afternoon or all day under heat lamps. In fact I usually send food back when its dry or cold. I digress. The General Gao's Chicken ( which is on the menu as Schezuan Spicy Chicken) is the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Its a perfect example of how Quincy Dynasty uses their sesame oil and chili oils the right way and lets you still taste the food you are eating and not high fructose duck syrup like some other places. Its a great choice for even the pickiest of eaters, but watch out for the red peppers in the dishes, they really aren't intended to be eaten but they give the overall dish a great flavor. ( they wont kill you but they will clear your sinuses). I can speak highly of almost all the choices on the menu. I don't typically eat pork or beef dishes ( excluding fried rice) but I can say that all the food I've had was fresh and made to order. Waitstaff could be a little more cheerful but no issues there. That speaks for itself when you want to hit the buffet. Good drink menu, bring a friend!

I love their Dim Sum Sunday Brunch, They don't skimp on the seafood. If you like more authentic Chinese food then you should try Quincy Dynasty. The service could be a bit better, The hostess at the front looks like she chronic jaw pain and can be very rude. Still the food is worth her attitude issues The ofter the standard Tiki drinks(Suffering Bastard, Love Potion#9, and Scorpion Bowl) which are done well and has more than the textbook amount of liquor. Their Peking duck is wonderful, crispy skin and succulent meat. Their crab rangoons are really just cream cheese withe crab juice. There boneless spareribs are more for the health conscience, they have no fat on them are are too crispy for my liking. But i do love the Dim Sum. Their Sponge Cake and Peach cake is really good. I also like their Shrimp Shomai, and cream buns. They also serve Pad thai, crispy shrimp, Fried cod with lemon sauce. their Dynasty wings(really good), White and brown rice, and won ton soup. If you want some where to go for a great Sunday brunch this is the perfect place.

Best menu items are the steak teriyaki appetizer (very flavorful), General Gau's chicken, Vegetarian Delight and Egg Drop soup If you order the beef/broccoli, be sure to ask for the sauce to be made "strong" - otherwise it doesn't have a lot of flavor. Fried shrimp appetizer is disappointing - little-bitty shrimp.

This is my favorite chinese food place by me. The general tso's chicken is great and the scallion pancakes are awesome as well. The bar area is small but great if you are waiting to pickup an order.

Best Crab Rangoon so far and their love their Yee Noodle dish. I always ask them to add meat in it and they do it right each time..of course it comes with a price. I wish it was a little cheaper but its the only place that makes it the way I want it. Delivery service is fast and I've eaten in as well. Their staff is friendly.

My favorite for Chinese delivery. I have never actually seen the place but since the day I moved to Quincy 2 years ago this is the place. Always friendly on the phone, keeps the cc on file(which I love!), and delivery time almost always half what they tell me. On top of all that the food is DELICIOUS!

This place is nothing special. Somethings were good and some were meh. The general gau's chicken wasn't bad and the crab rangoon was tasty, but the szechwan spicy chicken was tasteless. The egg rolls were blah too. The hot and sour soup was good; a lot tastier than everything else I ordered. I probably won't order from here again..

my go-to chinese take out in quincy. everything is tasty, and i've never had a bad experience. not the best chinese food i've ever had, but it won't disappoint either. i'd recommend it!

This is just for Take out I have never eaten in the restaurant Their take out is great, I love the Sauteed Rice stick. I love that they have a great menu selection so if you want a healthy meal or comfort food they have it. The food is always delivered quick and hot! I love that the dishes come loaded with meat and vegetables and you don't just feel like you are eating greasy noodles.

Great takeout. 5 compared to all others in the area, 4 for everywhere I've ever been. Can't wait to try the Dim Sum. Also a nice dining area, I'd go there and sit.

I've been here twice and the two times I've been there I've been satisfied. The food is so delicious. It doesn't taste like the Chinese food you would get from anywhere else. The people that work there are always friendly and willing to make you happy with anything you want. The atmosphere is great. It's big enough for a lot of people to go and chow down on their yummy food. I'd definitely go back again and again!

Had a craving for chinese food so we decided to hit them up tonight. Service was friendly. Delivery was prompt and hot. The food is good, not a greasy mess like too many of the restaurants around here.

I've only been there for dinner and hoping to go back for buffet or dim sum which i heard is very good. We went there for a birthday party dinner, and the place had some people in it for a Friday night but was not packed to capacity. The waiter we had was very assisting in what we needed. I got the Egg Drop soup which is a must try at this place as most places make it crappy. We all got seperate dinner meals and splitted between each other. I got the General Gaus which was not overwhelmingly spicy, and had some of the beef and brocolli(in which the beef was extremely tender). I think the one thing that sets this place apart from the rest of them is their vast menu, and the fresh ingredients that they use in the kitchen.

Ok, I just finished eating my takeout and I am stuffed! The food is awesome and the prices are reasonable. I would really like to burp but I'm not there yet. I'll give it a few minutes while the food settles. Definately eat this food!

A good spot for American style Chinese food. The interior is comfy and unassuming. The wait staff is pleasant. The food is good with large portions and reasonable prices. Some of the highlights: dynasty signature chicken wings are excellent! I usually get a sampling of traditional Chinese fare under their Tidbit plate: chicken wings or chicken fingers, boneless ribs, chicken teriyaki, steamed peking ravioli and pork fried rice. Like most Chinese food restaurants, smaller dishes are not cooked to order so usually you have to order a full-sized portion and not a dinner plate combo to get fresh and piping hot but this again has been my experience at all Chinese food restaurants. A nice touch: if you go during the Chinese new year, they give patrons envelopes with $1 bill when they give you your bill, apparently to bring good fortune in the year ahead. A stand-out Chinese restaurant in Quincy. If you are not from the area, street parking can be difficult but there is a free public lot open to all customers on Vine Street, behind the restaurant.

I live almost next door, but I still claim without bias that Quincy's Asian neighborhood is superior to Boston's Chinatown, and this is one of the flagships. The standard lunch, dinner, and takeout fare is hot and deviates just enough from the cookie cutter Chinese menu to be interesting yet familiar. The appetizers are especially excellent. Also check out their Sunday dim sum, which has a nice mix of favorites and odd dumpling creations to explore.

My experience did not start good. Told me I could not get booth the place was empty on a Monday ! The guy grumply gave me the booth. The food came and was so so. Service with a growl. Will go back to cathey pacific

Awesome Chinese some of the best in Quincy. My favorite things here are the Gai Po Lo Mein, peking raviolis, steames shao mai, and their crab rangoons are awesome! Prices are ok, not the cheapest you can find in Quincy, but you get what you pay for.

Here's the situation: this year my birthday fell on a Monday, so I did my major celebrating the weekend before. I still wanted to have a nice Bday evening with my GF so we chose to check out a Dominican restaurant in our neighborhood and then head to Quincy to get a long anticipated fix at Dairy Queen. After a call to DQ to make sure they were open late we headed out only to find out that the Dominican place we chose closed early. So we headed into Quincy looking for another worthy birthday choice. After searching for about 30 minutes and striking out on 2 possible places we stumbled on Quincy Dynasty, and I must say I'm glad we did! We started with a scorpion bowl and from there had great dumplings and fresh and crispy general gaus chicken. With a classy, but typically Chinese Restaurant interior and above average food this is definitely a place to check. Thank you for saving my birthday Quincy Dynasty!

I love their food. But I gave it a 1 couple hours ago just because the woman whom I talked to on the phone for food delivery was SO RUDE! She NEEDS to learn about customer service! Or you risk losing customers! I still love their food tho! Their seafood (shrimps and scallops) are SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!! Try their "Shrimp with Asparagus" + "Fresh Sea Scallop in Garlic Sauce" You Seafood Lovers!!! ;)

The pineapple fried rice $7.95 was my favorite of what I ordered. It had plenty of pineapple chunks and the rice was light, but full of veggies. The Shanghai duck $14.95 would have been better if the sauce were more robust. The mix of vegetables and duck was well proportioned, I didn't feel I had too much of one and too less of the other. I felt like a bit of dim sum and ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings $4.45. They were cooked well and hit the spot for my dim sum craving. I felt the prices were reasonable and the service was nice.

This review is about my take out experience. The quality of food was strictly OK but I know I have had much better take out from other places in the area. And given they are slightly on the more expensive side, I was a little disappointed. Spring rolls were good. Not too heavy but definitely the kind worth having them right away and not let them sit as I left one to have it after my main dish and it was definitely more chewy when it was at room temperature. I was rather disappointed with the main dish itself. The Lake Tung Ting Shrimp. The description of the entree sounded really great: Jumbo shrimp sauteed with broccoli, straw mushrooms, baby corn & bamboo shoots in egg white sauce with the dash of wine. Not to be too critical but i know the difference between the jumbo and medium and small shrimp and how they end up when sauteed. That was definitely not jumbo shrimp. I could have still Let it Go , but (I was almost Frozen!) for the sauce with a dash of wine, it really lacked acidic burst of any kind. In my mind, I probably had a preconceived taste of the white wine with egg white combination. But it really lacked the flavors I have come to expect from real good Chinese food - it was very plateaued. To make it different, I was forced to add some hot Sriracha from my fridge. And I did heat it again and could finish it easily. I will have to give it another shot - maybe the lunch buffet that was advertised for certain weekdays - possibly if I have a weekday off and am in the area. And see how the rest of the food is. Else I don't like giving 1 or 2 stars for a place that could have more potential. Because it looked like a good place. And given Quincy has Chinese restaurants everywhere and of such great quality (so many even better than China Town), for now I will stick with my rating.

Used to be excellent for years yet the last time my family dined there, 3 out of 4 people had inedible food which is rare for chinese restaurants. They no longer have a buffet which was excellent. Now fairly empty while other chinese restaurants in north quincy are busy. Tells you something. Perhaps dynasty changed chefs. My mother lives this place so i will give it one more try. Tough street parking yet a free lot a block away off billings road away from hancock street. I am sad to taste the quality that has gone downhill. Used to be my go to chinese restaurant in quincy. Parking is just so terrible and expensive in boston's chinatown.

First the food was horrible, the boneless spare ribs were so dry they looked like tiny strips of beef jerky. I ordered the vegetable lo mein, there were pieces of wilted lettuce in it and not many more veggies other than that. The pork fried rice my bf ordered had more veggies in it than my dish. The chicken fingers were super doughy and greasy with dry chicken inside, the crab rangoons were probably the best part of this meal which isn't saying much. The service was less than stellar. The waitress was not friendly and non responsive to simple requests. We were never offered water or tea, never checked on during our meal. Needless to say I don't recommend Quincy Dynasty, I would not eat there again for free.

We ordered: -spicy chicken -beef and asparagus -tofu and broccoli Positives: No positives for us. (Marks the first time I haven't given positives) Negatives: -gas leak -no seasoning, everything was flavorless. -customer service Business suggestions: -go back to basics. Pick 10 dishes to learn and cook well. -season your dishes. Taste before they leave the kitchen to confirm flavors. -the customer is right 99% of the time. Don't make customers feel guilty especially when it's your fault. Will we return: Not a chance. This is the worst Chinese food we have ever had. No passion, no love no flavor. This place strikes out on the three most important components of a restaurant: the food, the customer service, the space. No brainer well go somewhere else.

Came here to use my groupon. The food was satisfying but not the best experience. The wonton soup was very fresh and quite tasty. We also ordered lemon chicken. I like that the lemon sauce was on the side. The chicken was very crispy and well cooked. We got sesame chicken too but it I like it better when it's not in the same style at the general gao's as this one was. The basil fried rice was the star dish. Quite yummy. Overall a bit pricey for the portion size, but you will leave full. I provided pics for a visual. Our waitress was not the nicest and was aggravated that we were taking our time chatting. She rushed us and seemed to be glad we were leaving :( It was a good use of a for our Groupon, but I wouldn't come rushing back. Probably a more worthwhile experience for the Buffett from what the other reviews mention.

There was a time when Quincy Dynasty offered a more authentic, quality alternative to some of the more popular (Read: Americanized) Chinese restaurants on the South Shore. That time has passed. It's amazing how you can ignore clear warning signs about how bad a meal is going to be. An off putting smell when you walk in the door. An empty restaurant for their "expanded Sunday Buffet." Oh, and the biggest, loudest and most obvious warning of all, one that should send any rational Yelper running away screaming in terror. It's running a Groupon. This alone should have been sufficient to steer me away from this once decent establishment. Groupon is the kiss of death for an existing restaurant. It is when the owners basically say, "Hey, we'll give you half price food, and you'll be so enthralled by our cooking that you'll come back and bring all of your fifteen thousand friends and save our dying restaurant." Sound like a great business plan, right? Not so much. Onto the horror show. We were there this sunday for the "expanded buffet." Which by "expanded" must mean having little or no food at the stations, and what food is offered has been heating since last tuesday. This was perhaps the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. I have serious doubts that ANYTHING in the buffet was produced that day. The chicken wings were practically fossilized to the point that they HAD to have come from yesterday's buffet at the earliest. Each of the "entrees" were so old that they were starting to caramelize, which was rather pathetic since there could not have been more that one or two spoonfuls left of them in each pan. The corn and egg drop soup was sitting in a large open vat, and had become so viscous as to be better used for paper mâche. Oh, let me take the time to mention warning number four. Above each station there was a sign warning customers, and I am NOT making this up, to not waste food or there could be an additional charge levied upon them. I am not joking, the sign is in red letters and Chinese characters. I would tell you to go and see for yourself, but I wouldn't wish that fate on anyone. Gee, Quincy Dynasty did you ever think that maybe people aren't wasting your food, maybe they HATE it? In the end, the only dynastic element of this business was the epic nature of its failure to produce decent cuisine. Quincy Die-NASTY.

This place is good for dining in, as there are plenty of seats, great for larger groups, and decent decor. The trickier thing on a week day is that there seems to be only 2 servers, so the poor people seem frantic covering such a sizeable restaurant. The food itself was only so-so, depending on what we ordered, FYI, it definitely caters more to the Americanized Chinese food style. Their general tso's chicken was very sweet and not crispy, though the chicken itself was moist. Their chowfun noodles were all stuck together, and was quite a let down, as it typically is one of my favorite dishes to order. Calamari rings were decent, others in my group seemed to enjoy them. I found my favorite dish to be their greenbeans. Another time we ordered the crispy rice chicken soup, that was tasty though the rice was no longer crispy, but it was a good flavor and not too salty. I also liked their salt and pepper pork tenderloin, however, the meat was not as tender as I'd like, but decently done.

Lunch Buffet $8.50 Wed-Sat $11.95 Sunday This particular venue offers an AYCE lunch buffet from Wednesday through Sunday. The venue itself was much nicer than I expected. It was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. There was ample seating and even a nice TV showing off ESPN to contrast the classic Chinese decor. The buffet was situated in the corner of the restaurant. -Appetizers included: fried bean curd wraps, shumai (pork and shrimp dumplings), wings, crab rangoons, spring rolls, scallion pancakes, teriyaki chicken skewers, dumplings. -Entrées included: general tso's chicken, shredded pork, beef and broccoli, crispy fried fish, buddha's delight, curry chicken. -Desserts included: mini cakes, cantaloupe, jello and chinese donuts -Sodas are $1.50 and unfortunately refills are not free. The food had a fast turnover rate. That is, the kitchen kept pumping out fresh food to refill the buffet. Taste-wise, most dishes were quite good, although nothing was particularly mind-blowing. I tend to stay away from shumai, but the ones here were not only large but delicious. The staple general tso's was actually excellent in terms of appearance, taste and quality. The crispy fried fish was saltier than usual, but I still enjoyed my half-plate's worth. The fried bean curd wrap was not quite as good as I had hoped, but then again, it never is when compared to its steamed version. As for desserts, all you can eat chinese donuts is an automatic +1. Behind the scenes there were at least 5 cooks/staff who were coming in and out of the kitchen bringing in freshly prepared food. There was a single server who manned the restaurant, and there was something special about him. I suspect he is skilled in some discipline or other of martial arts. Though not necessarily a master in his field, there was distinction about him, evident in his perfect posture, purposeful movements, and ability to simultaneously balance tea, clear tables and push in chairs. Though not flawless, he was certainly professional and courteous. Not amazing, but a solid option for those in the area. (^_^) Venue (^_-) Food (T_T) No free refills (^_^) Chinese Donuts (^_^) Bang for buck Glad I came. Would like to see their Sunday brunch, which apparently includes dim sum.

It is a bit pricey, but other than that I love it. Positives include great food (except the shrimp in lobster sauce is waaaay disappointing) try the curry chicken or ginger onion beef. Nice service, delivery a plus, also there's a groupon usually that's a good deal.

Howdy. I used to order from this restaurant ages ago when I lived in North Quincy. It wasn't bad then. They've definitely changed a bit when it comes to price vs portion size. I ordered two dinner specials: sauteed chicken and vegetables with pork fried rice for me, and vegetable delight for my husband. Our entrees were ok. The sauce that my chicken came in was very gingery and almost tasteless (except for bursts of ginger in each bite). I did enjoy the crab rangoons, rice and scallion pancakes, but the actual entree did disappoint me a bit. My husband was okay with his veggies, but shared my sentiments about price and portion size ratios. I was also surprised at the portion size for the price...it was about $30 for 2 really small dinner specials and scallion pancakes. The containers were tiny, and the portions were obviously tiny. I would order from here again, but maybe something different from the dinner specials.

If you like to be treated badly and being lied to, this is the restaurant you want to go! The one big thing this restaurant lacks is CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I know that Chinese restaurants don't have the best service, but this one is by far the worst one I have ever experienced. And believe me, I have been to many many Asian and non Asian restaurants and I am not picky. I can even tolerate bad service if there is good food. But this restaurant doesn't have neither quality. We ordered food by phone and wanted to use the coupon that they mailed to my house ($10 off $35 order). My bad that I forgot to mention that I am using a coupon, did not really read the fine prints. This is total my assumption and might not be true that I think if you mention that you have a coupon, they will give you less food, or trick you in some way. We ordered a full Peking duck and fried squid and the lady on the phone wasn't very friendly. She either is out right rude or she doesn't understand Cantonese well. But either way, she shouldn't be working at the front desk and taking orders and deal with customers. She will eventually drive everyone away. When we went to pick up the food, they only gave us half of a duck and the friend squid, so did not accept the coupon since it was less than $35, that was how we realized that the order was wrong. We asked about it, and the lady said "YOU ordered half of the duck" and "YOU didn't mention the coupon". Very blaming first of all! But we insisted that we ordered a full duck (which we really did), they reluctantly gave us another half of the duck and charged us $30 something dollar after taking off the $10 discount. When we got home and realized that they didn't give us the cucumbers, peking duck sauce nor the pancakes that should have come with the duck and also realized that the duck was not boneless, so they definitely gave us the wrong thing and charged me the cost of a full peking duck! I then called the restaurant and they said "YOU ordered the regular roasted duck, and NOT the peking duck so that is what YOU get" However, they do not have roasted duck on their menu, so no way I could order roasted duck and a roasted duck shouldn't not be the same price as a peking duck, there is no way! I am not going to go through the entire conversation but basically they said it is all my fault, there is no refund, no exchanges, no nothing. I can buy the pancakes if I want to. Overall, this restaurant is very dishonest, has the worst customer service, not so good food. Quincy has so many other great restaurants with cheaper cost and much better food and service! Quincy doesn't deserve a restaurant like this.

I only order take out from here. I don't know how big the dishes they serve there but the take out plates are small. The rice is the same about as a small bowl and their pricey too.

Had their buffet twice. Cannot comment on their menu items. But the buffet seems to be very less in variety and not that tasty. Its Ok-Ok type.

Having just moved to Quincy I am still in search of some great Chinese food. I have found Yelp a very helpful way to know what to try and what to stay away from. After trying this place I can honestly say I think that I need a new system. I can not imagine how this place is rated so highly unless it is primarily based on the dine in experience and not the take out. The food was completely cold when it arrived - despite being in a bag that is supposed to keep the heat in - which indicates how long it was probably sitting in the car or on the counter at the restaurant. The food was overall tasteless and disappointing. The wonton soup had lettuce in it - yes I said lettuce - not cabbage or other veggies but soggy, brown lettuce. The chicken and vegetables were undercooked and the sauce they were sitting in was disgusting. The fried rice was ok but seemed to me like it would be something you would buy pre made in the freezer section of the grocery store. In addition to all of this the cost was outrageous! Overall not a good take out experience at all. Seek other Chinese Food restaurants in the Quincy area if your looking for take out.

Many times I eat here. Go crab rangoon better service. To many Scorpion Bowls I dance on table give a show

Garbage restaurant. Don't go here. Service is terrible, dirty tables, ill manner waiter, and cold old food. I took a bite off of my girlfriend's "buffet" dish then was told off rudely to not touch the plate ever again or I'll be charged the buffet fee. Shittiest Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in my life! STAY AWAY even McDonald is much better. At least they offer fresh food and friendly service.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now for lunch and dinner, and it has always been good. Now, I've had some mixed experiences with Chinese food in North Quincy. Chinese restaurants range from very authentic Chinese food with flavors that my pallet doesn't understand, to super greasy and saucy American-style Chinese food. Quincy Dynasty rests perfectly in the middle. They are not too greasy, the fried foods are not over-breaded or over-sauced, and yet is has the good, salty, somewhat spicy flavors I've come to enjoy from American-style Chinese food. I've had scallion pancakes, steam and pan-fried dumplings, general gao's chicken, and chicken lo mein - all of which have been tasty. The scorpion bowls also pack a nice punch and are so good. The service has been pretty good there, too. No complaints!

Pretty standard old school looking Chinese restaurant. The food was fairly good. I'd go back, but, I think you may be able to find better options.

Ordered take-out twice in the last few weeks. We were satisfied the first time with our meal, even if I did get dry mouth afterwards (you know what I mean.) But the second time, my General Gau's was so sour, it was uneatable. Too expensive for bad food. Too many other places to eat in the area, won't be back.

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great while other times it is low class quality. Although, I did give it a try a few times and as a result, I am just not a fan of this place due to the inconsistency in food quality... An example - I ordered the fried calamari and expected it to come out the chinese style. Usually it does when I order during the day. Unfortunately, I experienced first hand when ordering at 10 PM. The squid was deep fried, it tasted so bland and nasty, I threw it out. It was not the good quality that I tasted when I ordered during the day. Either the chef is getting lazy at night to make it the correct way or they got some inexperience chef working now. Quincy Dynasty - you are now on my "not to go" list. I will never go here again and will defintely not recommend. If anyone wants quality Chinese food - I recommend South Garden in Quincy. Their quality of food is definitely much better.

We ordered take-out from here, and was generally disappointed. For the price (much higher then many chinese take out restaurants in the area), the food tasted no better, and in my opinion worse. I'll start off with a positive, their portion sizes are very very large. But, my beef and broccoli had two bites taken from it before I had to pass on it. The beef tasted off and I wasn't going to risk being sick! I was not a fan of the crab rangoons as many yelpers before me had praised them.. too sweet in my opinion! I will say the egg drop soup was good.. a little too much salt, but tasty. However, I don't think we'll be trying Quincy Dynasty again.

The food here is good. Every time I have gone I have enjoyed it. I have eaten in and taken food to go. I find the food to be fresh. The vegetables have a good crunch and their is just the right amount of sauce. However, I give Quincy Dynasty only 2 stars because I think the prices are too high for the portion sizes. Rice also does not come with most dishes, you have to get a combination for that. I do like this place but I'm not willing to be a frequent customer because of the pricing.

**IF YOU GO TO A CHINESE RESTRAUNT FORGOOD DUCK SAUCE THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! I went here for dinner the other night, the menu was overpriced and the dinners didn't come with rice, I ordered tofu with vegetables and specifically asked for only a little sauce my boyfriend ordered the sampler for one. The food came and the tofu was loaded with sauce and cold and when I asked to reduce the sauce I was given a dirty look by a miserable waiter. The sampler was delicious and the eggrolls were amazing, overallthe service temperature and taste of the duck sauce ruined my meal .

Good chinese food in Quincy. Albeit it's Americanized and very stereo typical, I still enjoyed myself eating here with my friends. We were all starving and just wanted to grab a bite to eat at a place that wouldn't give us food poisoning. After a hit and miss try at another restaurant down the road, we tried this place and it was perfect. The chicken wings are hot and fresh, and the string beans were very good with rice. I felt the portions were a bit small and wish there was more food per serving. My friends had a huge drink to share with another friend. It was an atomic something or rather. I don't think they liked it that much. Other than the drink, the food is good. This place is a good joint to go to.

I love Quincy Dynasty. We found this place through Yelp after we moved to Milton, where there are not a ton of good delivery options. This place has never let me down. They are super efficient with taking the order, and the food has come insanely quickly before. The quality is consistent and the portions are large (though it is definitely not the cheapest chinese restaurant around). Recently I bought a Groupon for Quincy Dynasty without realizing that I could not use it for delivery. Decided to use it for a date night with my husband and wasn't disappointed. There was no one else inside on a Thursday night, but the service was very friendly and it was interesting to see where our Chinese food always comes from. We got the Peking duck, which he prepared for us table side. It was delicious and super crispy. I hate when Chinese restaurants around here use tortillas as the pancakes, but these were pretty good. Best Chinese near Milton.

I ordered takeout with the boyfriend. The woman who answered the phone was nice. I placed an order of Tidbit #1 Egg Roll, Boneless Spareribs, Teriyaki Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and a dinner plate of General Gau's Chicken with a side of pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. The egg roll, rice, and spare ribs were really good, but the Teriyaki Chicken and General Gau's liver (I mean chicken) were gross. Please don't even try to tell me that was chicken. Maybe a chicken liver, but to be honest I don't ever want to know. The color looked identical to that of a liver. It was just pure gross. This is Quincy. Why is it so hard to find good Chinese food? I travel to Whitman for mine. That's shameful.

I've been a regular here for the past 5 years. They have their good days and their bad with service, I think it depends on how busy they are, but the food is always great. I always get the dynasty sampler (equivalent of a pupu platter) and all the apps are great. My favorite ribs and spring rolls anywhere I've eaten Chinese food. Good rice, lo mein, and the best yoo don noodles.

My boyfriend thought it was okay. However, for the price we paid the food was terrible. I had crab rangoons and they were the worst I've ever ordered (and I order them every time I go out to Chinese). The portions are small, the scorpion bowls are weak, and the place was dead. I am updating the post bc the restaurant has improved since my first visit. My boyfriend got a Groupon not realizing it was for the same Chinese restaurant. The food was much better this time around and the restaurant was busier. Or waitress wasn't the best, but I was pleased with the improvement in the taste of the food.

  • Gisele M.

My friend had a groupon so of course, we had to go. We got the house fried rice, which was delicious with plenty of fresh vegetables and large shrimp. We also got the salt and pepper shrimp - not greasy just lightly battered and pretty fresh. We also got the moo shi pork. The waitress prepared the moo shi pork for us, which was a nice bonus! Service was good, place is pretty clean. The only gripe for us is that this place is a little on the expensive side. Good food though!

This place sucks. They strategically place dead fish throughout the buffet as "centerpieces" in the hopes that it will kill your appetite. It worked on my wife, but DIDN'T with me. My hunger was too strong. Their duck sauce isn't even the right color. Who even knows how it tastes? I don't even care. I'll just never go here again. Place is garbage. End of story. Why would you even open a restaurant if you're not going to try?

This is the first time we try this restaurant. We got delivery. The curry wontons & crab rangoons were delicious! Hunan beef was spicy just how I like it & they use quality meats not the chewy stuff.

I love Quincy Dynasty, it's my go-to restaurant. The prices are a bit expensive if you're not eating at the buffet though. But the good thing about the buffet is that its about $10 and you can pack your plate as much as you want because they don't weigh it. Downside with the buffet is that they're a bit stingy with the food, they will put the smallest amount of rice or noodles in the pan so sometimes you have to wait until they put out more.

  • Alexa R.

Huge restaurant. Nice, subdued atmosphere. They have a lunch buffet that's apparently good, but I was in for dinner. The waitstaff was very cordial and accommodating. They made me a pineapple fried rice with tofu instead of egg because I'm Vegan. I thought it was delicious.

Quincy Dynasty is going down the toilet China would not be proud Unfortunately Quincy Dynasty is going down the toilet! When they first opened up it was fresh delicious good quality food. Now the skimp on the portions and reheat the lunches for dinner.I have gone there almost a hundred times but no more ,I don't like being ripped off and Shafted! The last time I was there,I asked if there was extra duck sauce, the Mgr looked me in the eye and said oh yes its in the bag. When I got home,I saw the2 tiny containers of the precious sauce.PuPu platter wasn't enough either. 3 tiny Chix fingers 2 wings,I was still hungry and the thing that gets to me is they knew I was a regular customer and they still shafted me!

Being your average American in Quincy can be confusing with what seems like 8,000 asian restaurants. As an average American wanting less than authentic, "fast food" style Chinese this place is great. I always get the General Gau's which is great. It has orange peels and red chiles in it, which should let you know that it's a little more upscale and flavorful than what's at the food court. The rice is the variety with peas and carrots if you're into that. I'm not picky, I just like my fried rice to be moist and flavorful, which it is, and which is why I'm a fan. Some of the appetizers such as the crab rangoons are a little bland, but the boneless spareribs are some of the best I've had, always juicy and tender. Good egg rolls too. While it's not the best I've ever had, it was my regular place when I lived in Quincy.

I had the Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab and Mongolian Lamb. The soft shell crab was decent, but the lamb was just OK and was probably made from frozen lamb, not very tender. Good decor, average service.

I love this place. I used to go to the Cathay Pathetic.. I mean Cathay Pacific, till I found this place. The food is excellent, much more a taste than other places. You can tell the cooks in the kitchen know what they're doing and make sure everything comes out right. The pork fried rice is great it's nice and light unlike some other places I've been. My favorite item on the menu is pot stickers followed in a close second by the boneless spare ribs. My orders have always been ready with time to spare, the staff has always been friendly and helpful.

This was my first time ordering from Quincy Dynasty and I was pleased with what I ordered! I had the shrimp dumplings and the mo shu veggie! the pancakes were fantastic, good texture, good size...the veggies had great sauce. The dumplings were ok, but the wrappers fell off of the shrimp...sad.

I usually get the General Gau's Tofu, Crab Rangoons and Hot and Sour Soup - which are all great; the best of all the area places I've tried. I prefer take out / delivery but have also dined-in with positive experience. I can confirm the other reviews that delivery is always fast and the food hot/fresh. For pick up or dine in, I haven't had a problem finding on- street parking and there is a public parking lot located in the back of the building. Service is always friendly. I hear the scorpion bowls are good, but have not tried them (yet!).

It's everything you ever wanted in a Chinese dinner. I'm usually a fan of the spicy items, but I tried their mango chicken dish and it was very good. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the mango adds great flavor to the dish. They also have TVs which are usually tuned to ESPN, NESN, etc... so you can keep an eye on your favorite Boston sports team.

My Hubby and I have ordered take out from here and it's been a miss. We were craving for some Chinese food and we just kept reading great reviews from this place. I couldn't understand it... so we decided to give it a try..But this time we decided to stop in and eat in the restaurant. What a difference!!! The food tasted fresh, yummy and it was a very quick service. We were so pleased with our dinner we came back the next week for their lunch buffet. Only $8.50 and everything is fresh. You see the cooks coming out and changing the food frequently so it doesn't sit out very long. The eggs rolls and crab rangoons are awesome!! They even had some sushi rolls that were not bad. I'm so happy we dropped in..

Considering Quincy is Little China Town, you would think there would be a ton of excellent Chinese food places to decide between at 10:30 on a weekend night. Not a true story. Quincy Dynasty is one in a hundred (quite literally). Their food never disappoints, delivery doesn't take an eternity and the wait staff is attentive. Their portions aren't overwhelming...*Great Chow*...and you never have that "what the hell is that?" moment...*about half the places in town*. General Gau's Chicken, Pad Thai and Foo Young are all great. We actually made this our Christmas Eve scene last year and there's something about flowing mai tias and a looped video of It's a Wonderful Life that makes me think Quincy Dynasty will be getting a Christmas card from us next year.

My wife and I visited this restaurant based on the reviews we read here on Yelp. The menu had almost anything you could want. The Chow Foon was especially good. As others have said, with such a large number of Chinese restaurants in the area, Quincy Dynasty stands out as being one of the better ones. We will definitely return.

LUNCH BUFFET!!!! OK, I'll preface it that for what I tried, it only deserved 3.5 stars: I came here to try the lunch buffet. I came towards the tail end, so there wasn't much food left. However, for what food there was, I thoroughly enjoyed. Upon request, they brought out anything we wished to replenish the buffet. I'll have to come here towards the early part next time. Don't come around 1:30! I got soup, tea, and they had about a dozen dishes to choose from at the buffet. They also had about 1/2 dozen deserts. I sampled: General Gao (good), chicken terriyaki (gross), chicken wings (good), lo mein (good), scallion pancake (yuck), beef and broccoli (not impressed), veggie dish (not impressed), jello (mm good), hot n sour soup (average), tea (good), and I think that's it. So, I'll be back to try the earlier buffet and perhaps on a weekend or evening, the actual dishes. My coworkers are quite fond of this place. The wait staff kept bringing us new dishes whenever we were done with them and refilling water. Upon request, they refilled the buffet and asked if we wanted anything more before they closed it. It isn't the largest buffet for sure, but better than the others I've had in Quincy. How to get there? It's in Wollaston, not far from the T stop. Lots of street parking that's FREE.

So it's americanized chinese food I know I know but what's wrong with that? Because they do it better than everybody I use to get takeout from this place even when I didn't live in Quincy. such great quality and now I just moved to wolaston and I plan on getting a lot of deliveries from here. I've had the general gaus chicken the chicken fingers but my favorite is the pork egg foo young its perfect the salted crispy pork loin is great too. Ordered here in september and they delivery was fast they told me 45 min but got to my place in a half and hour on a fri night so they definitely get my seal of approval . I'm kind of heavy on the complements here but I think you give credit when it's deserved by far the best place in Quincy . And Ive really wanted to try the dim sum here so if your looking for someone to go with give me a holla

I can't really review on the experience in the restaurant because I've always ordered take-out, but I will review on their food. I ordered some of their noodles before and all I can say is that it is pretty bland. I haven't been back since last summer because of the experience I've had with their takeout. I've tasted better Chinese food before and theirs' just taste like a fast food joint. I can say this because I am Asian myself and I can taste some of the difference between the foods, like if they actually cooked it with care or just dumped a whole lot of msg to get the flavor. I also feel that some of these dishes are overpriced since you can get them a lot cheaper in Chinatown, Boston, and better as well. Service is friendly but that's about it.

After moving right down the street and trying several Chinese restaurants, I finally found the one that I want to be a regular at. I had the Hot & Sour soup and the Chicken & Chinese Eggplant. Everything was beautiful. It actually wasn't greasy at all and felt very "light". And best yet, I didn't feel bloated afterwards. :) From everyone else's reviews, I can't wait to try their Crab Rangoons and their General Gau's next time!

I've only gotten take out from Quincy Dynasty since I live in the area, but it has been delicious! I've gotten their chicken and broccoli, but also I get their tofu with hot garlic sauce with broccoli as well. They give you a nice decent size portion for a fair price. Usually it's about $8 for an entree and then plus rice, so it's usually about $10. They have dinner specials around $10 that also includes an appetizer. It's very tasty, and they do a good job with Asian food. They are also very fast!!

The last few times I've ordered the same dish "Pan fried Udon" the quality just started going downhill...extra greasy and skimping on veggies or shrimp (shrimp quality has also diminished!). The service is not very willing to accommodate either: You can choose "Shrimp/chicken/ OR vegetable"...the OR is very key here in the dishes. Once they sprung and let me order both shrimp and veggie ...and it was perfect. Never again! If you ask for both you just get one or the other, a handful of chewy shrimp in a sea of noodles, and no veggies or skimpy veggies. I would be so happy getting both together and paying more for this, but they do not let this occur for some odd reason. So many times, I've asked for a side of mixed veggies to add in. They say "we don't do sides sorry" and I would have to order a giant Vegetarian Delight just to add vegetables into this dish... A little strange! The other fried dishes seem to be their specialty. I don't think we'll be back for a while.

Third try is a charm! I moved to the Wollaston neighborhood last fall and have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant that didn't make me cringe when I walked in. First, I fell for a coupon deal and tried the new Dragon Palace with was terrible (see other reviews for it). Next, I tried East Chinatown, which was not bad, but nothing to write home about. Finally, I tried this place for takeout on a Saturday evening. It has a very nice atmosphere and they have tvs if there is a sporting event going on. We tried the egg rolls (can't go wrong, even had a shrimp in the middle!). The pork lo mein was great, very flavorful without being too greasy. The other people with me weren't big fans of the beef broccoli, they said it tasted "slow cooked" but it was still flavorful. The general tsos was definitely the best part of the meal. The chicken seemed to be a mix of light and dark meat, and had a nice ratio of breading to chicken and the sauce had a little heat to it. I have found my Chinese restaurant of choice in Quincy, and I will be eating in next time (because I actually don't cringe when I walk in).

I've gone back here a few times for the lunch buffets. Each time has been really enjoyable. Everything I've eaten has been very good, though not great (four stars out of five). Everything is freshly prepared and they use good ingredients to make the food. One of my favorite features (that makes the buffet stand out from others) is that they often serve some time of delicious, fresh vegetable dishes. On my last trip, they served a "Vegetarian Delight," which was deep fried tofu puffs with several veggies in a light sauce. It was really good and not heavy and balanced out the buffet. They also served a "Two Delights," which was pork and shrimp in a light curry sauce. It had these giant pieces of red pepper, green pepper, and onion that made up most of the dish. They were cooked really well and were crunchy but not raw. Yum. I've also seen stir fried yu choy with garlic at the buffet. that was delicious. The meat dishes are very good as well. The chicken teriyaki skewers are the best. I enjoyed everything but the peking raviolis and the shu mai. The shu mai were very strange and dense. I had no idea what was in them; it was like eating a Swedish meatball without sauce, not a shu mai. The ambiance and music is really nice. There's always the same older man who waits the tables (weekends, nights, lunch, whenever). He's stone faced and not that friendly (he makes me feel like I'm imposing) but he's a good waiter. You can find things at the buffet for everyone. It's a great balance of meat and veggie, different flavors, and healthy and deep fried. It's pretty rare when you can find a buffet where 90% of the food is really good (and is only $8.50- really, really, really good deal). Make sure to get a donut for desert. I've gone here for dinner a few times. I wouldn't recommend eating seafood here (salt and pepper squid was deep fried frozen squid without the hot pepper flakes. It turned me off for years to this place for years). I would recommend everything else, especially the moo shi.

Just moved into the neighborhood and when it comes to Chinese there is a lot to choose from!! I've eaten here twice and so far have really liked it. You MUST try the "peking raviolo" they are pretty fantastic- by far my favorite item, but they are definitely greasy if you get them pan-fried. I am a huge lover of chow fun (or foon) and there's does not disappoint. Also, the House Fried Rice is probably the best fried rice I've ever had! Other menu I've tried have all lived up to expectations. I've also had positive experiences with the dining service, trying out the delivery tonight- we'll see how it goes!

Like Great Chow, Quincy Dynasty also has a wonderful menu, exceptional staff, of which the three waitresses, owner and Vivian and wonderful and caring people. The difference betwen this and Great Chow, is you have Authentic Chinese vs regular Chinese at Great Chow, You will also have a more "private" setting where you will have fewer noises from patrons; Great Chow has there tables in the open. You will find Quincy Dynasty to be more private when you have to have privacy in your meal; Verdict Great Chow; regular Chinese, Quincy Dynasty; Authentic Chinese food; it will boil down to preference, and the fact that Quincy Dynsty has Authrntic Chinese may appeal to more if they are picky!

This place is a great go-to place for American Chinese food, or what I call cheapy Chinese. I tend to order their takeout which is fantastic. I like the lunch and dinner plates which come with rice, meal and appetizer ranging in price from 7-11 bucks. I'm especially impressed with their delivery time. I've ordered from here dozens of times and they've never taken more than 30 minutes and it's always hot and very fresh. An added bonus is the dinner containers are sturdy Tupperware, which I reuse and reuse - dishwasher and all! I've been to the restaurant a few times, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the buffet and I'm not sure why they are listed as only Dim Sum, because they have some, but it's not their specialty. However, if you go with a group and order off the menu, it's awesome! And don't be too surprised if it's a little empty, I think a lot of their business is delivery.

I love this restaurant. It is one of the few Chinese restaurants where i'm pretty much guaranteed to enjoy everything that I've ordered. I've only eaten in the restaurant once. It was at a weird eating time, the service was good and so was the food. I think the best way to describe the food is as a compromise between americanized chinese and traditional chinese. meaning they serve the standard dishes we westerners have come to expect from a chinese restaurant. At the same time, the food is high quality with flavors that speak more strongly of traditional flavors than is normal. Generally Geni and I order take -our from here. probably about once every three weeks. Geni LOVES the dumplings and will often eat an order of them as his meal. Other favorites from the appetizers are the meat-on-a-stick (chicken and beef teriyaki) and crab rangoon. My favorite part of their entrees is that the meat is always meat and not a bit of meat attached to a glob of fat or surrounded by an inch of batter. Crispy Sesame Beef or Chicken, General Tsao's, Sweet and Sour pork, salt and pepper shrimp, and tofu an black mushroom are my favorite dishes. the only thing i would warn away from is the sweet and sour chicken. The sauce tastes exactly like maraschino cherries. I don't understand how this happens at a place that is SO good on everything else. and in case you're wondering, the sweet and sour pork has a different sauce, which is fantastic. so i really don't know why the chicken version is so unfortunate. I'm also willing to bet that everything else is just as tasty as my favorites.

5 - for taste 4 - for price We had the sesame chicken and general tao's chicken.... OMG good good food. We also had crab rangoon and eggrolls. The crab rangoon were really good and the eggrolls as well. Nothing came with rice though and cost extra, which seemed odd to me. The service was very fast. The thing that made this stand out to me was how different it was from other restraunts offering similar things. The deep fried food wasn't completely caked in batter. And it arrived hot hot hot!

Although this place was completely empty when I went to pick up my food, and parking definitely seems like a hassle, this is a solid place for Chinese take out/delivery. Their portions are pretty big, not too expensive and very tasty! We tried cashew chicken, and it would have been super good if it didn't have waaay too much celery in it. The celery outnumbered the chicken and the cashews at least 2 to 1 (or so it felt). Quincy Dynasty has terrific pork fried rice and spring rolls. This is one of the only places in the Boston area I know that has a decent wonton noodle soup. This has become my new go-to Chinese take out place.

Although American...very good. Excellent service. Hot and sour soup, although a bit thick for me has excellent flavor. Garnished with fresh scallions. Peking ravioli are very good. All on all I am a fan!

I have only ordered take-out from here so I cannot comment on the service. However, they are VERY quick. I live about a mile away and all my orders have arrived within 20-30 minutes of placing them. If you go in to order, it takes about 10-15 minutes. The food is typical Chinese food, nothing special, but it's good.

I've had some pretty OK meals here, but the this time...NOT!! Why is it that the duck is always dark and greasy? Where does the breast go....to Chinatown? I was hungry and had to eat, but left behind all the pieces of mushy skin, on the plate!

This is the Chinese food by which I measure all other Chinese food. When I'm craving Chinese, I go here. The salt and pepper pork is SO good. The buffet is small and the cooks come out frequently to refill the pans. I like this, because it means that the food is not sitting under heat lamps for hours. I've only ever gone for the buffet, I've never ordered off the menu, but if the buffet is any indication, I'd say that the rest of their food must be great. My only gripe is that I never really see lo mein on the buffet.

Better than average Chinese buffet (3.5 stars). Decent food, not too greasy. Pleasant, clean dining area. Efficient service. Good value for what you get. Besides the quality of the food there are a couple of benchmarks I use to rate a buffet: - Food Replenishment - did they keep the trays full? - Dirty dish removal - On your second visit to the buffet do they clear off your first dirty plate? Quincy Dynasty staff was quick to remove dirty dishes. They did ok with keeping the buffet table supplied but there were still empty trays on each of my two visits (oink). The General Gao's chicken was a particular standout with the chicken remaining crispy outside and moist inside. Did you ever wonder who exactly is this General Gao (or is it General Tso)? Was he really a general? What's his relationship to this chicken dish?

Their Mushi is so delicious I could eat it all day everyday. I have never had a bad experience with Quincy Dynasty. Their food has always arrived quickly and it's always fresh. I have never been to the buffet, so i cannot tell you how that is like. But we order from them probably at most twice a week. I really enjoy their food and their service!

Overall not too bad. Any Chinese food place that has a decent General Tau Chicken is good enough for me. Among the items that I can attest to were the General, Brown and White Rice, Crab Rangoon, Spiced Beef and Veggies, etc. I can't say I had the same experience as Tom X as far as the staleness of the lunch buffet. What I can say is that he did point out accurately that the selections are rather slim for the buffet. I'm sure an expansion of selection would be welcome by the people who frequent Quincy Dynasty.

Used to work in Quincy, best lunch deal in town. DELICIOUS Chinese food, buffet for $7.50 (? or thereabouts), including soup if you want, and it's actually first-rate food, not the crap they're trying to clean out of the kitchen. General Gau's is the barometer of good Chinese, and theirs is fuckin top-notch. Go here!

Dynasty has the best Dumplings and Crab Rangoon outside of Chinatown. The buffet's reasonably priced. For clarification, it is coded on Yelp as a Dim Sum, however, it is actually a Dim Sum brunch buffet on Sunday (11:30-2:30). So, don't expect the food to come to you on carts. That being said, that particular buffet is excellent.

I have been going here for years and but in the last month or two, they have dramatically reduced their portion sizes and it is obvious. The prices haven't gone down, however... They got new serving plates so it enabled them to downsize the portions....and I think they figured no one would notice. We ordered string beans and pork tonight and the order was mostly string beans...very little ground pork in the dish. The skimping is so noticable that I might have to give Great Chow down the street another try instead. Too bad as this was my go to restaurant every week.

When I have a Friday night all to myself I usually hit the gym then Quincy Dynasty (I'm a lame cat lady, I know, whatever). Quincy Dynasty has such yummy peking ravioli, I just can't resist. This place is located in North Quincy and is about a 15 minute drive from my place in Quincy Center but it's worth it. By the time I get there my food is always ready. The staff is super friendly, service is great, takeout is really fast, and the food is delish.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in Quincy, as well as the nicest eating environment. The ambiance is wonderful. It's a nice, large restaurant, with haunting Chinese instrumental background music playing, never too loud at dinnertime. The waitstaff is very attentive yet not too hovering. They are always nice when you want your meal "paced" like I do. I hate the way Chinese food always comes out fast-food style (i.e., all at once and too quickly). At the Dynasty, if you request some "down time" to enjoy your cocktails and appetizers before dinner comes racing out, they are happy to do that and tell you to just tell them when you're ready for your meal. Conversely, if you're in a hurry to eat, this is the place, they are really fast! The food is absolutely glorious. No greasy gross stuff here. Plenty of the "American" favorites, yet they almost seem healthy, LOL. The tea is delicious and the wine/beer/cocktails are very reasonably priced. The cocktails are kind of weak, though, IMHO. My picks for food: Crab rangoon (amazingly cheesy and not too crabby tasting) Scallion pancakes (you'll be ruined for life eating them anywhere else/gorgeous, light and flakey, to die for, with a heavenly sauce) Crispy lemon rolls - amazing lemony sauce, very different Spinach fried rice and fruit fried rice are both awesome and a good change of pace from normal fried rice with pork Vegetarian delight is great if you want something low in calories, not dead, or both General Gau's chicken - spicy but not too over the top Lemon chicken - delicious and lemony The combo dinners are an absolutely great value and just the right amount of food. The Dynasty is within short walking distance of North Quincy T station and also has ample parking in the municipal lot. Quincy is the capitol of Chinese food! EDIT: to my earlier review - updated 10/09 - the food is still awesome - I can't vouch for the meat, though, haven't eaten chicken for over a year. One and only one complaint - flat screen TVs. I do not go to a nice restaurant to watch the boob tube. That's more like frozen Mystic Pizza night with the hubby watching Dancing With the Stars - that's fine - or Murphy's Irish Pub watching the game and watching the drunks - this place is too nice for TV! I have noticed every restaurant in Wollaston is getting the tube - spend some time with your date, people, TV is for sports bars!

Yelp lead me to this place and I was not disappointed. The Peking Ravioli and Crab Rangoons were particularly good, and nothing was too greasy or heavy. It was by no means exceptional but it was reasonably priced, well portioned and of high quality. I would definitely recommend Quincy Dynasty for a small or large group.

The best Chinese food in Quincy, hands down. Wonderful appetizers - we always order crab rangoon, peking ravoli, egg and spring rolls. Plus their won ton soup hits the spot on cold snowy days - the broth is delicious but not too salty or overseasoned. Their delivery is timely and prices decent.

I'm not into the typical greasy American/ Cantonese style Chinese food though you can get that here too, I prefer the more gourmet selections they have available. The Chardonnay Chicken, Mango Chicken, Mongolian and Szechuan Beef and Lamb dishes are all very good, amongst the best I've ever had. Also try the Sizzling Beef with Fresh Scallops and the Scallion & Ginger Lobster. The service is courteous and attentive something which many Chinese restaurants lack.

i believe i have only eaten in the actual restaurant once, so the **** rating is strictly for the food and delivery service. i am, as some may know, from nyc. this makes me somewhat picky about 2 food items: pizza and chinese. everything, and i mean everything, is compared to the 2 places i ate growing up. for pizza, that means sal & carmine's (used to be on 94th, now is up around 101st); for chinese that means the hunan balcony (which has been closed about 20 years). nothing is ever as good as your memories but, among the large selection of local chinese restaurants, q.d. is the best i've experienced in the q. located very conveniently with fast delivery service and great food, it's definitely worth a shot if you're in the area. decent rangoons, but a little heavy on the cream cheese and short on the crab. the boneless spareribs are excellent - sticky, sweet, and (relatively) lean. a small order is definitely enough to split. the peking ravioli (fried, not steamed) is excellent as are the scallion pancakes. i have yet to figure out why the dish i have always known as "general tso's chicken" is known in some massachusetts establishments as "general gau's chicken" but they could call it "general shitzinyo chicken" and i'd still order it. the beef or chicken in black bean sauce, the chow foon, the u-don (sauteed or in satay sauce). . . . you could say i've ordered from here a few times, been adventurous, and have never been disappointed. the delivery service is prompt and the prices are reasonable. appies will run anywhere from $2 - $8 and can be ordered in small or large; the entrees will set you back anywhere from $7 for the lo-mein to $30 for the full-on balls-to-the-wall peking duck.

Quincy Dynasty Restaurant situated in North Quincy at the corner of Billings and Hancock Street is one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the Boston area. Our dinner began with baked Peking Ravioli which was simply delicious. Our three entrees, the sizzling Chicken with vegetables, spicy Schezwan Chicken and the Curry Shrimp and vegetables were among the best Chinese dishes we've had. The last one was unbelievably outstanding It was spicy, with the shrimp marinated to perfection and the rich flavor of turmeric. The Dynasty has an impressive decor with decorative Chinese vases and figurines on corner stands and traditional Chinese paintings on its walls. The service was satisfactory and the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back for another dinner soon.

Perfect crab rangoon! Crispy on the outside, creamy (not too thin, not too thick) and filled on the inside. We ordered the Dynasty for 2 Platter, and although it was kind of pricey, it was pretty good. Shrimp is tempura style, beef sticks were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, boneless spareribs were really small and stuffed at the bottom, egg rolls were yummy, chicken wings were kind of fatty, and chicken fingers were more batter than chicken. Next time, I'm just ordering tons of the crab rangoon...anything else suffers by comparison and they were the best I've ever had!

It wasn't bad; it just didn't seem that authentic. We usually go to Chinatown for real Chinese food, but decided to try this out. We ordered a few dishes that we usually get, to see how they compared. The food tasted fine, but it just wasn't as good as it is at other restaurants. Service was good and the restaurant was clean, but if you're looking for authentic Chinese, head to Chinatown.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
