Steamers has a sign on the door which says, "the best lobster roll" and it is very true. It doesn't look like it would be true, but don't be skeptical, go in there and get one. I refuse to get these anywhere else after I had an absolutely decadent and fresh lobster roll here. Get it with fries too, they are perfect!

Food was awesome!! Crab cakes and the clam chowder were awesome. It's basically a fish market with a few tables, so dont take a girl there on a first date, but if youre looking for a solid meal without taking a serious hit in the wallet, steamers is a great place to grab a quick lunch. I'll definitely be going back.

My girlfriend and I frequent Steamers and the food is amazing. We had a pound of steamers today and WOW they were huge and so good. Steamers has been around for 15 years, I hope they will be around for another 15. I recommend Steamers over any other seafood joint in Boston. The owner is a great guy.

I been at Steamers twice for mussels and they are so fresh! I'm so glad I found this place, the customer service is excellent as well.

The food here is fantastic! I've also purchased fresh fish that my family enjoyed. Can't decide which is better the clam chowder or the haddock chowder.

I helped to waitstaff a rehearsal dinner that Steamers catered. Caroline, the wife of the owner, was the sweetest! She was so friendly and she was glowing about the homemade crab cakes they were serving - and it was justified. I've never been to the location itself but judging by the attitude, service, and quality of the seafood they served, I'd say Steamers is a winner!

Been in the area for 6 years before I found this gem on Yelp! Take everyone's advice and try the lobster roll...it is pricey at $16, especially since chicken lobster is just 3.99/lb down the street at Stop&Shop....but so worth it! It'll definitely be back for more, regardless of the price of lobster ;)

Good, Fresh, local New England seafood at a reasonable price. Granted, the prices are higher than the pre-frozen garbage you buy at your local supermarket's seafood section, but you get what you pay for. I bought some flounder there recently, and it was almost as fresh as the flounder that I catch myself on my father's boat.

Not the best, not the worst. Just meh.. The prices and quality are comparable to the average seafood store. The people that work there are nice enough. The lobsters were okay for June. The steamers were really tasty. I wish I had bought more. The place could use some sprucing up... maybe brighter light bulbs. On a cloudy day, the store is a bit dark. This place is just meh...

After having a major lobster craving and reading the reviews on yelp, I went to this place due to it's proximity to my home for a fancy pants lunch. I got: Lobster bisque- don't bother- I think it is reheated from frozen and it tastes that way-- overly fishy and not fresh-- I ate it anyway. Lobster roll -surprisingly satisfying. I say "surprisingly" because it came out on an unbuttered, ungrilled bulky roll...pretty untraditional in these parts. The guy at the counter actually took the basket of lobster meat they had for sale at the counter and brought it in back to make the lobster salad fresh for me and boy, was it awesome. The roll was filled but not overfilled with sweet, tasty, fresh lobster. I didn't miss the grilling one bit. The service was friendly and personal. This store is clearly a small local shop and the owner was also my sandwich maker. It is always nice to find a gem like this close to home. Next time, I will have to try some of their grilled dinners.

Been driving by this place for a few years now and always noticed the advertisement in the window saying they have the best lobster roll ever. It is pretty close to it. For 15 dollars you will not get better. What is great here are the fried clams. Everthing here seems incredibly fresh. It is not really a restaurant but a fish market with a couple of tables so I would recommend take out.

Everything i've had here has been delicious. I've tried the steamers, mussels, and salmon from the fish market part and they are top quality. The fried clams are phenomenal--and they give you so much! If you went to get a platter of that size in Boston, it would probably be over 25 dollars. At Steamers I think I only payed like 15 or 16 for a whole takeout container full of fried goodness. I like how they keep it real, and don't try to decorate it to be something they're not. Just like other fish markets, they sell fresh seafood, and are awesome enough to cook it for you to take home as well, all in a no frills, but clean environment. If you know good seafood, you will like it here.

Stopped in for a lobster roll after work, after seeing the reviews, and it was great. Huge amounts of lobster and not overly "mayo-ed." Definitely different - -not the normal NE buttered and toasted hotdog roll but a larger, soft challah-type roll. The owner is super friendly and helpful. I also recently bought oysters here (a buck a piece, which is a great price) and they were very tasty and fresh.

Dominic, the owner, is a terrific guy and his seafood is always the freshest. His prices are more than at the supermarket, but you can't fairly compare the two products. Dominic has fresh fish. Stop & Shop and Trader Joe's have, well, I don't know what you'd call it, maybe "stuff that was once in the sea." His lobster rolls actually contain lots of lobster and the rolls are freshly baked by the bakery across the street.
