Came years ago for small banquet. Wasn't very memorable then but was in the area and stopped in for breakfast. Very clean place with attentive staff. (Hated choice of music that was piped in...they can do without it or turn it to more appropriate choice). As I was only patron, food came out relatively fast. Good food at very reasonable prices with good portion size. Home fries were perfect. Finally, a place that makes home fries using good sized real pieces of potatoes cooked to the right tenderness and with that brown grilled crispness on the outside. Took a "to go" order as well. Pancakes were fluffy and the right golden brown color. Definitely coming back.

I stopped in a couple of times while camping in the area for a week. I did not eat here so I can't say anything for the food as I cooked over an open fire each night for meals. I liked the name of it and the location so I pulled into here for a beer "just to see". Well three beers later because Teisha (or as known by me now as Shaneaqua) our bartender was such a hot ticket and had us laughing so much we delayed leaving. I also stopped in while doing the bike rail trail as it it right on it. and was a great place for a break. The bartender this time was just as pleasant and personable (forgot her name but a redhead, sorry hon) and both times the owner chatted a bit with us and gave us some local advice. The restaurant is very clean as well. I will definitely be back here when I am in the area and will give the food a try too.

The food here is banquet/dennys quality grade B-C food. They serve ragu or prego for their spaghetti sauce. Everything is frozen then prepared. I have had better food on an airline. Not worth your time or their overpriced menu. You would expect more from a place called bass grill that is across from a lake filled with bass. But nope the food here is your run of the mill standard food

We went there on 4/24/15 and there was 6 of us and all 6 of us did not eat are food and we ha dc 5 didn't items. Baked schrod, about 3 in in size and about 1 in of topping , very small and dry. The steak tips looked like pot roast, never seen anything or tastesd anything like it. Hamburger was frozen and dry. Turkey sandwich, stuffing, turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes were all aweful, everything tasted boxed. Chicken marsala was aweful it was made with chicken fingers and dry. I have no idea how they got some 4 stars it must be someone they know. It was by far the worst place I have ever eaten. Close your doors you are screwing people with your cheap boxed and frozen food and charging regular prices. Stay away.

I love Bass Water Grille for so many reasons, the first being the super wonderful staff. They always go above and beyond to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience. The menu items offer a wide selection of everything from sandwiches to larger entrees. Everything is fresh and has a home cooked feel to it. You really can't go wrong with any of the selections, and I definitely recommend trying one of their specials that change nightly. If you are looking for more of a "pub" feel you can elect to eat in the bar area, which has a lot of TVs and a fun atmosphere but is set away from the main dining area as to not disrupt guests. If you are looking to book a large party, I definitely recommend Bass Water. They have an awesome banquet room that is the perfect space for a bridal shower, baby shower or a large meeting. They definitely hit the mark with their banquet food, it comes out fresh and hot. Last but not least, the prices are more than reasonable. You really can't go wrong stopping into this restaurant!

Went here on a yelp review. Was not disappointed. Food and service were great. Accommodated requests for slight changes. Inside was a little campy, but clean. Will stop by when in the area next.

The rest of my family was pretty content with the middlebrow fare. I sent back the doughy undercooked fish and chips, and it came back still doughy. The fish was fine, the batter close to inedible. Service was fine, and they were pretty kid friendly considering. Add another to the list of meh western mass food.

OMG. Am I the 1st to review this restaurant? We had our Class Reunion here on Saturday. They hosted us in a beautiful seperate room. The food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding and a good time was had by all! Growing up in New England, I am a little spoiled with seafood. There is nothing like fresh New England scrod. It is just not the same anywhere else, even in the best restaurants. The scrod at Bass Water Grill is the real deal...it does not disappoint. And, why bother eating dessert unless it is absolutely great? The chocolate cake was great-absolutely self-indulgent. I recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back again. It is a welcome addition to our quaint small town and is located across the street from the lake. Did I say go for the scrod?

I LOVE this place. A restaurant where you can actually get top quality, home cooked food for reasonable prices. The location is great and service is on par. It's a must if you are visiting the Berkshires.
