Where to start. We stopped into Francois Cafe for an afternoon bite first we were greeted warmly by both the waitstaff as well as the Chef. Our drink order was taken quickly I had a beer and my wife had a really great Pino. We started with the eggplant dish that was rich and so good and seasoned perfectly. Next we moved on to the entrees I had hands down the best blackened tuna and my wife had the salmon with creamed spinach all I can say was awesome the sautéed vegetables were to die for all in all it's truly a great find

The Food was Great there. We will be going back. I had Eggplant w/Crawfish and Lasagna, my husband had shrimp. Both Very Good.

My wife and split a quick lunch, best food in area by far, haven't had a bad meal yet. Francois grills his vegetables in salads and great.

We were going to the chili cookoff and car show but since that was a bust, we decided to have lunch with my fiance's dad and his friends at this establishment. There were 6 of us and we had to share 2 menu so we can see what to order. When we asked about the specials that was written on the board, the waitress was like "it's in the menu". I found that to be rude. The food for the most part was good. We had egg plant appetizer that came out good and had a lot of sauce. When we asked if we could get bread to sop up the sauce we were told no it only comes with entrees. Well sorry we asked. The vegetable chicken soup was horrible!!! We cannot put our hands on it but my fiance took a sip and immediately rejected! She normally we will just eat it and just not order it again but she couldn't even stomach trough this soup. I tasted it and it had a sour taste to me. My thought is that is could have been older soup but I am not a expert. I can say I would not even eat it and I have a iron stomach. None the less.. When asked if we liked it we told the waitress no it that there was a bad taste to it. It was only $4.50 but every other restaurant I been too, if you did not eat the meal because it horrible they didn't charge and asked if you like to try something different. If we are ever back in Zachary, LA again we will not be eating at Francois again.
