3 stars is generous. It would be 2 stars at most in a bigger city. The pasta dish I ordered came with loads of imitation crab... Some of the other dishes were OK and the rolls taste good but it's inexplicably busy at times and the servers rush you.

One of my favorite places to eat at in Ruston. Now, this isn't the most authentic Italian food you'll ever eat but for North Louisiana, it can't be beat! Good service, food, drinks and prices. Try the Green Dinosaur when you're there! It's like a Long Island iced tea but better.

Sad. Is the word to sum up our experience here. The decor? Sad. The service? Sad. The food? Sad. The dead roach in the women's restroom? Gross. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sub without cheese. The bread toasted almost to the point of breaking a tooth. The chicken was dry. The buffalo sauce was on par with a fast food restaurant. I ordered the spaghetti with mushrooms. I got spaghetti with meat sauce. I didn't want to waste my time waiting for a new dish, so I just ate it. We eat out because I hate to (and am not a good) cook. But the spaghetti I make is way better than this. Pass on this place. Yuck.

My family has eaten here several times over the years. The biggest complaint I have is not being consistent and service can often be poor due servers. They do have a pretty good pizza which would be what I would recommend if choosing to dine here.

Went here for lunch a couple times with co-workers while in Ruston. You get HUGE portions that are reasonably priced. The pasta and pizza is pretty good. Service was a little slow for a group of 6 but it looked like she may have been new so we gave her a break. Worth checking out if your in town

Roma is one of our best restaurant's in the area. I never went to 102 A Bistro, which is what this used to be, but in any case, I am certainly glad Roma's stopped by in Ruston and I hope they stay for the long haul. I've tried their lobster raviolis, super creamy in a pink sauce (it's either red mixed with alfredo or cream) and not that expensive - about the same as other pasta dishes. It comes with imitation crab pieces so beware in case you don't like them. I've also had their specialty cheese tortellini which also comes in this great pink sauce and multi-colored noodles. I've had their calzones which are huge enough for 2 meals or 2 people. I've had their stuffed mushrooms so good (again in the pink sauce), and there is enough sauce left over for the bread they give you to dip in. The pizza is really good too, probably the best in Ruston. They have many choices and you can ask to make your own with whatever toppings you'd like. I like the White Pizza and I like the traditional but...yeah... with pink sauce. When our best friend visited us this summer, he insisted we kept going back - 3x - here and deemed this his favorite food spot in town.

I come to Ruston a couple of times a year for business, always on a Sunday night. In years past I've always been stuck eating at the chains. Tried this place a few weeks back and can't wait to go back tonight! Delicious, authentic food, great prices and great service.

Best Italian place in town. Has a large variety of pasta dishes, pizza, etc. Servings can be small, if you're hungry. However they have great fresh bread they bring you. Usually crowded. There is a bar with tv's, but it's almost unnoticed.

Good enough- good salads, good prices, decent pasta. Don't expect it to be perfect, though. Their menu could really benefit from cutting about half the dishes- some of which are redundant or downright strange. A pasta/chicken dish with pickled jalapenos? I guess in a small town this passes for normal or reasonable. Upsetting that their meatballs are frozen- underseasoned and mushy- unless you're into that sort of thing. Some of the dishes tend to be watery. I'd recommend the Home Baked Pastas, filled pastas, pizza, or the Greek Salad (only place to get a Greek Salad in Ruston.) Perfectly decent place for a reasonably priced night out.

This restaurant is hand's down the best place to eat in the area. We've eaten here 3 times since it opened and always have had a great dining experience. The Chicken Murphy, Carciofi & Chicken Cacciatore are wonderful. The canoli's and tiramisu are delicous too! A amazing food and great service!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
