Burger was outstanding however the appetizer plate left a lot to be desired and the chicken strips were fried in catfish batter. Yuk. I might have ranked 5 stars if we had only ordered burgers. the food was priced fair for the quality and quantity.

When I saw the description of the Galley burger I knew I had to do it. It was amazing! A great burger, a hot sausage patty, a huge buffalo chicken breast, three slices of cheese, grilled ham, and bacon. Others in my group got the regular burgers and they said they were terrific. But the Galley burger was great that day and the next for lunch! Service was a little slow but they are a small place with a small staff. Totally worth it!

Found this place based on some reviews while we were looking for somewhere to grab a quick lunch before we headed home from a quick weekend trip. Hands down some of the best burgers we've ever eaten. Huge portions for the price, and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend stopping in, and we will be coming back the next time we make it back.

I got home late from a wedding gig and was hungry. My neighbor, who was outside, suggested this place. I got the Galley. The hugest burger I've had in a while. I had to share it. I had to, you don't understand...unless you do, of course.

This is a neat little neighborhood bar. It's 21+ only unless you want to sit on the patio with your family, this is an adults only joint. There are a couple pool tables and a modern day "jukebox" to jam to some tunes while you eat, drink & play. My husband and I split the burger after reading about its size. We are grateful we did. The burger, however, was a disappointment. It was unseasoned and bland. We had high hopes but were let down in this regard. The drinks poured were decent and the place had a nice pop in business after the sun went down. It is super dark inside which added a more club-like atmosphere than a bar & grill. Overall, we will go back for a drink every once in awhile but we aren't chomping at the bits to get back ASAP.

Reasonable food for a reasonable price. I personally got the grilled chicken po boy which was delicious. I suppose my only complaint would be that there was almost more bread than meat.

Came in with my gf and ordered 2 entrees and 2 bottles of water. I was extremely thirsty and i politely asked the cashier if we can have the waters now after i paid for it. He said "oh man its gonna take me a while its all the way in the back. So i sat there thirsty as hell and watched him drink out of his bottle of water. He even made eye contact with me as he was chugging his ice cold water. Place is cool tho. Good burgers

Great food great drinks great people! This place is really good you can get food at just about time. Open early and late. The "Gally" is great huge with great flavor! Most people are regulars where when they walk in the bartenders start their drink with out them even speaking. And to top it off some of the nicest bartenders and the hottest Ms. Lacie! Lol

This place has delicious burgers. My burger was cooked perfectly to medium and my dad's burger was cooked perfectly to well. It seems little but I've been to so mNy places that can't cook a burger. I like the angry orchard on tap and the other beers on tap seem good too. The food took a little long but i can't be too upset since the chef was doing every job (he welcomed us, got drinks, took our order, made all the food, ran the cash register, and bussed tables). So I don't think it's a big deal. It was tasty and pleasant. All around a chill place to be. Will be back for craft beer night!

Wrapping up a quick visit, I hit the Yelp app and searched for something local that would have a quick lunch available. Up came The Harbor Bar & Grill and only a couple blocks away! Sweet! Boasting the best hamburgers loudly from the menu, I decided to give that a go and test their mettle. Standard cheeseburger cooked medium and fries. I grabbed a seat and waited. $11 seemed pretty steep for a burger and fries, so my expectations were high. Now, let me say in my defense that I did not notice that it said "12 oz." next to the burger. That's a massive hamburger and when it arrived, it made me feel like a child to pick it up. CRIMENY, this was a big hamburger! It was, after biting into it, perfectly cooked to medium and covered in (almost too much) cheddar cheese. I practically forgot that the fries were there. I am ashamed to say this, but that cheeseburger beat me. Yep. I couldn't finish it. I suppose I could have forced the issue, but then I would have left regretting it for the rest of the day. Good burger, maybe even the best. Certainly some of the largest.

Well since I'm the Duke, I guess I should review it. This is a dive bar in Metairie that I never would have gone to except it is close to work and has been on the regular rotation where I work. It's a great place to go espeically on a nice day when you can sit on the patio. Inside is a little ... well divey, and the smoke can get in your eyes. But it is what it is. The drinks are very well priced and are generous pours. Finally the food is way above average. From burgers to gumbo, Jason, the owner and head chef, knows his way around the kitchen.

Love this place. The food is really good for bar food and the bartenders are all awesome. Especially LaCie and Vito. Your always sure to have a great time with them behind the bar. The only place I go for late night food. The daily specials are pretty good too.

The burgers were outstanding... Good flavor, moist, buns were fresh. Perfect amount of grease. Fries were fresh out of the oil. Sat out on the patio and was served by a cute and sweet waitress. Would definitely come back!

This place is a good Metry dive bar & restaurant. They have a pretty good sized menu but they have a sign outside proclaiming "World's Greatest 12oz Burger" so that is what they specialize in. The burger was very large and I had a few bites that were difficult to get into my mouth as the burger was so thick. The burgers start at $8 and go up from there based on the toppings you get BUT they don't come with any sides (plain fries will set you back another $3). This isn't the best quality burger I've ever had but it was pretty good considering the large size and I would probably get another one (I just couldn't handle doing it often as big, juicy, and greasy as they are). They only have fountain drinks, beer, booze and wine and don't make their own iced tea (only pre-made fountain iced tea).

I came here with a couple of friends one night after we heard they served the best burger in town. The restaurant part is very small only a handful of tables. The bartender/cook was friendly. The burgers are huge, but not the best. The medium-rare burger we ordered was bloody as hell and the both medium burgers we ordered were well done and tasted a bit dry. I'm willing to give it a second shot because: 1. The burgers were cheap. With fries the total was less than ten bucks. 2. If they were cooked better, I could see them being pretty awesome. They also have decent sweet potato fries. If you are in the area it's worth a stop.

It was approaching 11 PM.as I am driving near Cauesway and Veterans near construction Hell. and the thought of a steak sandwich crosses my mind so...I turn down Ridgelake and head for The Harbor in hopes they have what I want. I know they have a pretty decent menu for a bar restaurant so it's worth a shot. I get there and the parking lot is fairly crowded with cars but I manage to snag a spot close enough so I can leave my smart phone plugged in and I can run my Energy Gobbling Wi Fi Hot Spot and write this review from my laptop. I walk straight in to the restaurant portion of the establishment. It is dark but strangely serene despite music and noise of patrons coming through the door joining it to the bar. There are 7 stools at the bar along with the 4 tables. There are cops in and out ordering food and hanging out. I take a few minutes to boot my laptop and begin to peruse the menu. I decide on the Harbor Fries right away. After a while of looking I notice they have a Filet Sandwich..BINGO!..Not the rib eye I was specifically craving but certainly close enough. I order it dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. I sit back down to my laptop and make a post in the notorious "Ancient Thead"..(It's the longest running active thread in New Orleans for Yelp..Titled "Yelp is Hiring in NOLA"). I post my response on the AT and it's been maybe 10 minutes and the cook is holding my sandwich and fries at the bar for me as I look up. My first impression is the sandwich is not Very Big I sit down and take my first bite, my next impression is the French bread is toasted very well. I pay closer attention to the bread on my next bite and decide that THIS particular sandwich is THE most perfectly toasted French bread sandwich I have ever eaten. The bread is toasted so well that the crust is very delicate and does not cut my mouth like French bread so often does. The filet is cooked medium rare like I ordered it and it is very tender as filet should be. I take a few more bites as I savor the natural flavor of the meat but decide I want a little steak sauce on it and find a bottle of Pickapeppa on another table which suits my want. I finish the sandwich quickly and wonder if the perfection that was this loaf can be duplicated or was it dumb luck that I got the best toast of the cook's career. I then begin to eat the fries.. The Harbor Fries are topped with roast beef gravy, cheese and onions. They are ok but I personally prefer the fries at the Bottom Line smothered with gravy..and I think the onions need to be grilled a bit more as they were a tad strong. Despite a few minor criticisms, I rated The Harbor 5 stars strictly on the strength of my bread. I just absolutely loved how it was toasted. I don't recall ever eating bread that was toasted so crisp it was delicate like this one before. I suspect my normal rating would be in the 3 range..but..it's about the bread..if it's this good again..then the rating will be higher..but for this one..it was perfect.

The Harbor has pretty decent burgers and some of the other items have looked pretty good. There is not much seating...like maybe only 6 tables or so and some counter space. Everyone there has always seemed pretty friendly. They also have video poker machines in the grill space. The grill and the bar are separate spaces. I have only walked into the bar once and it seemed pretty dark. I think they might have a pool table or two as well. If you are looking for bar type food around Lakeside Mall it's pretty good.
