I visited this location on a Friday night around 6:30pm.. It was still pretty light in there so if you are one for easy and quiet going atmosphere before the rush, this the place to go. Around 7:15pm the crowd started coming in but nothing too crazy that you couldn't enjoy your experience. They normally have drink specials when you walk in. Normally I'm a whiskey drinker, but I was with one of my besties and they had all these Sex and the City style drinks so I said what the hell and tried a Cosmo for old times and she had an Appletini. They were beautiful, but I almost forgot how awful vodka was. If you are into the pretty and the vodka and such come here and free pretty for $5 if they have that special for the night, of course. For appetizers we went with the Buffalo wings. What I love is the fact that the buffalo sauce is on the side. Yess because I definitely don't like the spicy. These wings were delicious they satisfy my mild taste and my friends spicy taste buds, so you won't go wrong with this option.. For our pizza we went with "The Works" loaded with pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, tomatoes and mozzarella. The sauce was made in house and was very light, which I love because some places tend to overdo the sauce. The pizza was filled with goodies! The small pizza alone could fill up between 2-4 individuals depending on their appetite. Their pizzas are all 8 slices just the small pizza has smaller slices, but it was pretty amazing in size. No Complaints with the pizza or wings. Everything was awesome. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and attentive to all her tables. Parking was simple and right in front. Had no issues. This is a great place for a cute low-key date or friends outing. Also a very kid's friendly place. They also do the pizza toss thing which is very cutesy.

After I posted my review, one of the owners reached out to me and invited me to come taste a few new menu items which I thought was really nice. Even though it was awkward once I realized the tasting was just for me, it showed tenacity and passion. I learned that the oven is coal fired and not wood fired. Their analogy is New Orleans already has enough water in the air with humidity that we shouldnt add more water which a wood burning oven does vs coal. The result is a dryer, crispier crust. This is the owners first restaurant business venture with hopes to expand into franchising one day hence the corporate- easy to duplicate decor. I hope for their continued success as they experiment in the culinary world.

I stopped in here last weekend with a friend around 2:30 on a Saturday. It was pretty empty but It's hard to judge a place when you arrive between the typical rush times, so we didn't let that affect our decision to stay. We were in the mood for Italian and they had a much more varied menu than we were expecting for a place with pizza in the tittle, so that was impressive. I saw lots of options on the menu that appealed to me and asked the waitress for some input but she didn't seem very knowledgeable about the selections. I chalked it up to her possibly being new because we did have a few small overall service issues. So if she wasn't new, then management has a few things to iron out with the staff. We both ordered sweet tea and she brought unsweetened and then I had to go walk across the restaurant to find her to ask for straws, which were in her apron, she just forgot to give them to us. I asked a couple questions about one of the dishes and when the answers confused me, I realized she was describing a different dish. And when my friend asked if the spinach and artichoke pizza had red sauce or garlic sauce, she at first said both, when we asked her to clarify, she said you can get either but it comes with red sauce. When it arrived, there was no red sauce, but we didn't say anything. We split the stuffed mushroom appetizers which we both enjoyed tremendously. For my entree, I tried the Shrimp Parmesan. (I've never heard of shrimp parm except as a punchline on my favorite TV show The Goldbergs, so in honor of the Goldbergs, I got it). It's basically big fried shrimp smothered in cheese and red sauce with a side of spaghetti. The red sauce they use is on the sugary side which is different than I'm used to, so I wasn't sold at first bite. I'm not sure shellfish and sweet marinara pair well together. I wouldn't get it again, but after I got accustomed to the sauce, I ended up kind of enjoying this slightly different take on my usual favorite meal of chicken or veal parm. I liked it enough to not let it go to waste. I'd probably give the place another try in the future, but pick something different to eat.

Sometimes my husband and I decide to go to the movies extremely spur of the moment. As we headed to the Clearview theater on Veterans recently, I realized that we needed to eat first and once I thought of pizza, nothing else would do. I popped the quickest u-turn towards the 1st place I saw which happened to be Rocketfire. WE were seated in a spacious booth and were greeted quite promptly by one of the sweetest servers we've ever had. Not to mention, it was super exciting to discover we showed up on their Mondays half price pizza night! So we split a large Caesar while trying to decide on a small pizza for each of us. A lot of people came and went, picking up to go orders while the restaurant was about half full. I enjoyed watching the cooks throw the dough but became quickly bored by the view of the TV's above the open prep area. On 3 large screens above them are constant pictures of menu items and social link info. We waited 45 minutes for our pizza which made me feel kind of bad for the server who kept nervously assuring us they should be done soon. While I did like the cheese to sauce ratio but I thought the sauce lacked depth. I also thought that my pizza could have used a few more toppings. I do like a crispy, slightly chewy crust but my pizza had a few burnt spots on the bottom that I had to pick off. I know it wasn't supposed to be like that because my husband's pizza had none. Once I got tired of picking I helped myself to a slice of his Works pizza which was very good, albeit also a bit on the bland side. The service was top notch and I do think that half price pizza on Mondays is a reason to return as their prices are more than decent. On the other hand, I feel like the quality of my pizza definitely matched the low price so I'd take that into future consideration as well.

The owner messaged me after my last review and asked if I would give him a second chance. Of course, I am always happy to give second chances especially where I have eaten at a place only once. So a friend and I ventured out for a Friday lunch to re-check this place out. I must say, the food this time was much better. We ordered two appetizers- the Oysters RocketFire and the Meatball Smasher. The Oysters were not meant to be authentic Rockefeller but a take on the classic dish and so were not judged accordingly. They were good -sized oysters covered with just the right amount of cheese and sitting on a bed of what could be described as creamed spinach. The combo was quite tasty. The Meatball Smasher was really good as well. It is a meatball "smashed" into a patty, topped with mozzarella, then wrapped in a very thin dough and fried. It was served alongside very good marinara. I would definitely order both of those apps again. Then the pizza. My last experience was not so great. This one was much much better. In my view, the best way to judge a pizza is to order a traditional pie with lots of meat. So my dining companion and I ordered the Meteor which has about every meat imaginable. I really loved it - great sauce, appropriately portioned, lots of meat and cheese, and a great thin crust. As I have said before, the pizza bar in NOLA is now very high. RocketFire is right up there with the best of them.

I went to RocketFire last night and had an interesting experience. First off, there was no one greeting customers. We stood at the door for about 5 minutes with others waiting for someone. Finally, a man showed up and came to help us but was then distracted and gave one of the servers a play by play on their tables. When we were finally seated, the waitress came up and and said something to the effect of "what do you want to drink". Clearly, she was not in the business of greeting people. We asked her what type of beer they had and she was fairly clueless and produced a list from inside of her shirt (weird)... We moved beyond the waitress and ordered some craft beer - it was cold and it took about 7 minutes to get it to the table... We ordered a pizza and it was very good. Why three starts? On a Friday at 7:30 p.m., the place was really really unorganized. The server clearly was not into customer service. The atmosphere is lacking - weird cartoon pictures framed on the walls and a bunch of tvs placed high up on the walls. Several screens showing food options. The interior lighting is way too bright. We didn't venture beyond the pizza but I really wonder if a pizza restaurant can support a menu as large... I will go back and try it again, maybe it was just an off night.

This place is pretty fantastic. They have an amazing menu!! We've been there twice now and can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu. The first time we got a pizza and the second time I got a pasta dish. The first visit our server was fantastic (I think her name was Denise?), but the second time our server was just OK. She seemed new and a little nervous, but didn't do anything wrong--her demeaner was just very different from our first server experience. There seems to be pretty mixed reviews on yelp, but I'd definitely recommend checking it out yourself. Do yourself a favor and ask for Denise :) As for me and my house, we will certainly be back!

Pizza was really good. Have to say that. Was a little burnt on the bottom but I guess that's standard for wood fire ovens. Service and hospitality...disappointing. We walked in with a party of 10 and there was a lot of eye rolling by the manager. BLAH. We had 2 unexpected guests show up and there was more eye rolling. We also asked for the fan to be turned on because it was extremely hot and it never got turned on. Indifferent on if I'll be back or not. Pizza was good.

NOTE: This is NOT a Pizza joint. It's a restaurant who's main shtick is pizza. I say that because the menu is large and has a ton of other things besides the pizza. They even have a version of Oyster's Rockefeller on the menu. The also have pasta, sandwhiches, salads and quite a few appetizers. The interior of the place is really nice and gives off a fun vibe. The 2 times that I went the service was spot on with extremely friendly servers. There is a really cool bar and another room that can open to hold additional dinners or for I'm guessing private parties. The location has been hard pressed for restaurants as it's previous 2 owners went out of business rather quickly. However judging by the line of cars in the parking lot every night, this place will be sticking around. On the 1st occassion that I went I got the Rocketfire pizza while my kids got their standard cheese pizza. I believe any real pizza place has to stand on it's cheese pizza and this one was just ok. The cheese wasn't very stringy, the sauce was somewhat bland and the crust wasn't the crispy on the outside and slightly doughy in the middle like I want. The Rocketfire pizza messed with my taste buds. It tastes like lasagna but looks like a pizza. The 2nd time I came here I got the hurricane shrimp pizza. It was pretty good. The sugarcane glaze and basil really stood out. Eat it hot though, this pizza does not translate well as a leftover. They make a big deal about the coal fire but I'm not sure it makes a difference to other brick oven pizzas that I have had. It's a gourmet pizza place so if you find the right combination of craziness flavors, this place is great but if you want the basics, I'm not sure it stacks up to other pizzerias.

In praise of Ice Tea. That's all this review will be in praise of. I've only been to RocketFire Pizza Co. once, and that was enough. Let's say I'm in no hurry to venture back for seconds. The pizza was just so-so and although pizza is like sex... when it's good... it's REALLY Good and when it's bad... it's still PRETTY GOOD! Anyway I digress. The pizza wasn't anything to write home about, but I would eat it again. The service was sloooow, but I wasn't in any rush especially as there was live entertainment. Oh wait, was the cougar attacking the young Vin Diesel in the booth next to us not actually entertainment (well it was certainly entertaining us. I may even have giggled like a school girl. I know I picked up some pointers!) Ahhh... but the ice tea. The ice tea was a tall, cold, unending glass of refreshment. As a true southern girl I love me some ice tea, and as this was the best part of my Rocketfire experience I felt it deserved a nod. So if you find yourself near Rocketfire during the long hot dog days of summer stop in for a tall glass of cold heaven. And maybe even try the pizza ...it's still PRETTY GOOD!

This place really does have the irritating aura of a chain restaurant but I do like the old school sci-fi posters on the wall. The loud and horrible rap music they blare really detracts from the experience here and I was having to restrain myself from my strong desire to rip the speakers out of the wall and bash them to kill the horrible noises they polluted my environment with. During my last lunch visit this establishment was nearly deserted so they certainly need to make some serious adjustments to what they are offering here. The pizza here is rather bland and leaves me with thinking it is a fairly close match to a DiGiorno frozen pizza in flavor and consistency. Just like DiGiorno the pizza here isn't exactly bad pizza but there are many better pizza joints in the area. One of the biggest pizza shortcomings is their red sauce which seems to just be plain tomato paste which could REALLY use some herbs and spices added to it along with being more generously applied to the pie. The other food options available here bump their rating up higher as they do have a decent selection of other choices on the menu. The small pizza is also quite filling as generally I can polish off a small size easily all on my own but I was left with two slices remaining with a full belly at my last pizza encounter here. I think I will probably stick with with the sandwiches and entrees on any future visits unless they do some serious reformulating.

I'm going to go ahead and give this restaurant four stars based off of my one time experience back in July. The menu had a lot of appetizers that sounded very appetizing to me, but we decided to go with the cheesy garlic bread. I liked it and ate most of it. My boyfriend, who loves cheese, actually thought it was a little too cheesy. We ordered the Pork with Attitude pizza. We love pork and this pizza hit the spot! The amount of toppings was perfect, and we really enjoyed the pepper glaze. If you have ever eaten the infamous Boudreaux Pizza at Katie's in Midcity, this pizza is very close to that! My boyfriend may have actually enjoyed this one more. I didn't love the atmosphere, but I would really like to go back. Next time maybe we can hit up the happy hour!

Went to RocketFire for the 2nd time. My wife and I like different toppings, so we usually get 1/2 & 1/2. We were very surprised to learn that they no longer doing 1/2 & 1/2. We were going to leave but the manager Ryan said it would be okay for us to do this, so we stayed. Our waiter Amanda was very good as well. As far as future visits go, if this is the policy we will no longer come to RocketFire pizza. I'll be surprised if this place stays in business with the policy like that...

I love pizza. For me the pizza was bland. I love red sauce. This one had very little flavor. I wanted a person size they stop selling them after 3:pm. It was after four bit just for me I would like a personal size The restaurant looks amazing. I love the decor. The wait staff was amazing. Sauce wasn't good enough to return.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
