Above average for a chain restaurant. I ordered a NY strip, cooked medium. It came out seasoned well and cooked medium. The baked potato that came with it felt a little old, like it had been sitting in the warmer for a while because it was not hot, but the steak outweighed the poor potato. I would return.

We stopped in Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch today. Our appetizer came quickly. We tried the chicken tortilla wraps, and they were pretty tasty. My entree was a cheeseburger and fries. My boyfriend had a steak and mac n' cheese. Our entrees took some time to come out, but the order was accurate. My burger was pretty bland, but the fixin's on the burger were fresh and tasty. The fries were warm and tasty. My boyfriend's steak was pretty lackluster - just no flavor. The mac n' cheese was also decidedly meh. Our check was slow-coming. They were busy, and our server, Amanda, had 5 tables AND the bar. She was hustlin'. Nobody provided her any help. She was truly doing the best she could given her load. But I waited 10-15 minutes for tea to finish brewing and come to the table. We also had to wait for the check to come. We won't be back. We certainly empathized with our server - she totally held it together - but this location could stand to have folks checking drinks and bussing food and dishes for the peak hours.

This was my first visit to Longhorn. I showed up in work out attire and I must say that I felt very underdressed. It is definitely a classier decorated steakhouse. It fills the void between an Outback and some of the higher end steakhouses. I was very pleased with the speed and level of service we received during the entire visit. I ordered a 6 oz Sirloin cooked Med/Rare. I expected the steak to be a tad bit more tender than what was presented. Nonetheless, the steak had a great char on the outside and the flavor was good. I did have a big ole tendon running through my steak so part of my 6oz stayed on my plate. The manager did come over to check on us and I did express my concerns to him. He provided us with a free dessert. That was really nice. I would give this place a another go again simply because the service was so great. We shall see what happens on the revisit.

I arrive in Lafayette from Texas and the logical first stop is a steakhouse?! My client wanted to eat here and he was paying for it. Flavor and value was five star. I had the lunch portion filet and my only complaint was the cut. This restaurant cut the filet in half the wrong way. It looked like a hamburger patty, and my medium filet was medium throughout. I like my medium to be well done on the outside gradually working it's way to rare on the inside. This could be accomplished if the filet was cut in half the other direction (retaining it's full height). The sweet potatoes deserve a mention as well! five star

After my first visit to Longhorn, I'm tempted to rate it with 5 stars, but I think a second visit will be needed to confirm accuracy. I think I had a small sirloin, medium rare, with the baked potato. The steak was absolutely perfect! Cooked just right. Great texture. Just the right seasoning or whatever it was. Absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back again and try something else!

Alright so this is a chain steak house and the expectation is you go here to pay under $30 for a decent steak.. NAILED IT! Got lunch New York strip with baked potato side, and it was awesome! Steak was FULL of flavor, cooked to a perfect Medium rare, just great. Potato was a good potato, not over cooked or anything off about it. Went for the Spinach dip appetizer and it was really, really good to be honest! Had Iced Tea, was great as expected. Waitress was great, very fast and got my order perfect. Floor and tables very clean, atmosphere was great "steak restaurant" decor like you'd expect. So I paid about $35 (after 20% tip) to get a REALLY GOOD steak lunch, with drink, side and appetizer, and great service / atmosphere. Just a really great experience overall. .

Stopped here on our way through town for a quick lunch. This is the nicest Longhorn I've ever been to. Friendly staff and quick service. My husband enjoyed his steak, and the kids were happy with their mac & cheese kids meals. Changing table for the tots in the ladies room - score!

First of all, I have never been a big meat eater much less a steak lover. Well, my husband is a carnivore so we decided to try Longhorns. I am now a steak lover!! The Renegade Sirloin is the best steak I've ever tasted. It's always cooked perfect and seasoned well. The bread is so good and every appetizer we've had was delicious. This is pretty much the only steak house we eat at now.

Ate there today for lunch and was very pleased with the staff and the food. The broccoli cheese and potato soup was amazing. Also my wife had the Bacon Cheddar burger and truly loved it. They also give small children teddy Graham's which is a great treat. Thumbs up Longhorn!!

Typical chain steakhouse... everything was good, nothing was spectacular. We were there for a business lunch, so I was more concerned with the topic of discussion than with the food. Nonetheless, I did very much enjoy my French onion soup... it was unique in that it had a well utilized and distinct taste of garlic. For entree, I had a BBQ/ cheeseburger and baked potato, both average in taste. My only real gripe was with what I call "undue conversation" from the server. We had eight people at the table and were very clearly having a business lunch. Three times, the server blatantly interrupted the table when someone was either in the middle of a story or important business related discussion, and then held our attention with unnecessary discussion just long enough to throw us completely off topic. I was a server when I was younger and I would NEVER interrupt someone in the middle of saying something, especially when it was clearly directed to the entire table. It just annoys the hell out of me when I have a server do that. BOTTOM LINE: Your usual national chain steakhouse... medium food, hit or miss service.

Hey! What happen to my old review??!! Anyhow, this place is so darn inconsistent, sometimes there good people, and then theres times where its such horrible people.. Most of the time, I have horrible service.. The same goes for food, there are times its good then there are times its horrible.. I normally get the Outlaw ribeye, which is normally good all the time, but this time I decided to try their Hawaiian ribeye, which is very, very not good at all! I will come back because their Outlaw Ribeye is pretty good.. just gotta pray for good service..

I ordered the 6 oz filet, ordered medium rare. The waitress kept asking little pink, very pink, warm center cold center. I ordered red center warm. My steak came to me medium. I didn't say anything. But it was just ok. I doubt I'll go back. Just not my choice of eat place.

Credentials first: from NY, have eaten at at least 100 steak joints over the years in more than 15 states, and am the author of the first ever Jewish-Cajun cookbook ever written. I went to LH last night on the recommendation of a friend who said that the porterhouse here trumped the pretty fine porterhouse I had at Logan's Roadhouse a few months ago. Well without further ado, I can say that it not only trumped the Logan's steak it was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten... really. It was thick, tender, delicious and perfectly cooked... Truly sensational. And at $25 or so, a bargain, and big enough so that two people could share. Lets give a rundown on the other menu items I ate there: - Kale salad with watermelon - very good, and the watermelon is an excellent palate cleanser. - Fried green tomatoes - these were excellent. Served with blue cheese and a drizzle of remoulade, these tomatoes were amazing. LH took a pretty mundane side dish and made it into something special - Baked mac & Cheese - This was very good, and while I am not a bacon fan, the bacon added a unique flavor to this basic noodle dish. - And did I mention the steak? Oh yea, I did.. wow. LH is several cuts above Logan's (pun intended) as well as all the other steak joints I've eaten at in Lafayette. The food, decor, service, cleanliness all speaks to a restaurant that knows what they're doing... and now I've got to try another LH to see if i measures up to the standards of this one. I am not frivolous in giving out five star reviews, but I am giving LH five big ones.. All the way.

Favorite steak house in Lafayette. The steaks are very well done, along with great desserts. I was a big fan of Texas Roadhouse before trying LongHorn, now, I only go to LongHorn.

Steaks and sweet potatoes are always on point. I can't really say the same for service. It's really a hit or mis with service. They have great food for a decent price. That's always a plus.

Service was good. Great bread and they have a very good fruit salad. Beyond that - one steak was under cooked and the other was overcook. Way too much salt was used on both steaks. The grilled shrimp was also over cooked. Management did try by adjusting the bill with a discount. This is not a place that I will return to.
