Super-friendly service and solid diner food. As good or better than you'd expect. We ate here after arriving on a late flight. The service was REALLY fast and we all got big servings of very satisfying diner food. Great burgers and chicken-fried steak. Don't expect much from the side salad, though. Kinda bland by West coast standards. Again, though. A+ on the speed and service--and the president of the chain contacted me shortly after my review was posted to inquire about deficits. Gotta love that!

Cheese fries. They put wax paper in a styrofoam to-go box, put fries on the paper, put cheese on the fries, and then stuck the whole thing in the microwave. You don't put fries in a microwave. 90% of the cheese was stuck to the paper, and I was peeling paper off of my rockhard food. Pathetic. I won't be returning. The chicken sandwich was ok.

We use to love to go to this location. I don't know what's happened but our last two visits have been horrible service and food left a lot to be desired! We didn't see any of the old employees so I'm not sure if they all left or if it's under new management or what but we will not return to this location again. We will try another dot's location.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! I honestly found the staff was out of control we had to.wait for a table once seated the table was dirty thier was no.sign of a manager as we sat in a booth next to.the kitchen. We could hear waitresses arguing with the cooks the female cook being very disrespectful.to waitress. Our food took forever to get to us the plates were hot the food was cold the employees do not wear hair nets or gloves while preparing our salad. It was just disgusting. I advise people to.stay away. This place should be checked out by code enforcement and the non existant manager which apparently was sitting.in .a booth across from.us with.her boyfriend the waitress said we could not believe she was there tje whole time this was happening. GO ANYWHERE ELSE, this place wont last. FOOD SUCKS, ITS DIRTY, AND MIS MANAGED

If you find yourself having to leave New Orleans and you're flying out... Treat yourself to one last taste and stop at Dots (convenient to the airport)! You'll catch them open round the clock so if you miss them its your fault. My suggestion is you have breakfast... You can't go wrong with the Big Dot!

Very clean place and friendly staff. Within 5 minutes of seating down, at least 3 waitresses have approached us to take our order..... Excellent service!

My favorite diner ever! I Love Dots! Brings me back to when I used to live here! Food is amazing and the service too. New Orleans omelet all the way!

From the exterior, the restaurant looked cute. I associated it with a diner that you would see off of an old American film. I pictured a sweet old waitress serving me apple pie a la mode. Btw they ran out of ice cream at Dots so... there goes my dream. Oh well. I guess I walked into the diner with too high of expectations. The interior looked, without a better way of putting it, dirty and old. The waitress that served us wasn't particularly rude, but she didn't give us a smile either. It seemed as though she was there to do her job, not to enjoy it. Now to the food. We ordered meat pies as appetizers. They came out fairly quickly with the wait was less than ten minutes. The meat pies were tiny, fun-sized. But it was an appetizer, so I wasn't expecting a huge portion. There were six of them and they were served on a bed of lettuce with containers of ranch sauce on the side. As far as the lettuce goes, it pathetic attempt as sprucing up the presentation. The filling of the meat pie reminded me of a cheeseburger. Wasn't good, but wasn't bad. I ordered the roast beef and gravy on a bun. The bun was grilled and the roast beef was great. It was extremely messy, but hey, I wasn't complaining. After struggling with my sandwich, I finally resorted to using a knife and fork. This just goes to show how packed the sandwich was; again, not complaining one bit. I really actually enjoyed my entree. For desert we ordered the strawberries and cream pancakes. The pancakes themselves were good. They had this eggy taste and this fluffiness to them that I found delightful. I do have a few complaints though. They did not let the pancakes cool down enough before putting the whipped cream on it, causing the cream to melt. Also, the strawberries were warm. They probably meant for the strawberries to be heated, but it didn't help with the melting whipped cream situation. As far as price goes, it was moderate. For a lunch that consisted of an appetizer, two entrees, and an order of pancakes, the total was around $25. I also gave $5 as a tip so lunch costed just about $30. Not that bad. Am I willing to return to this place? Hmm.... I don't think so. I didn't hate my experience there, but I didn't love it either. It was okay and because of that I am not willing to make the trip out to Kenner for an "okay" experience.

If you are expecting class and fine dining, this is not the place for you. It's a diner. You sit in a booth, at the counter, or at a table and you can watch the cook slinging hash and artfully assemble meals. You can see people from every walk of life, come in and do what we do best in New Orleans, EAT. The waitstaff knows the menu and rarely make mistakes. They are not the most refined bunch, but they are good people with a smile and a friendly word for you. The coffee is always hot and fresh and the food is made to order. You will leave smelling like food and with a full belly. My favorites are the club sandwich and the omelets and sliders.

Was not real impressed at all. Ordered chicken fried steak and a order of chili cheese fries. Fries came out obviously right out of a microwave. Steak was a frozen Pattie. Idk for $18 I expected better, will not be returning.

I had the B3 without grits- wheat toast instead of white, and my eggs over medium + coffee and bacon as the meat. Everything was good- but I didn't care much for the bacon. They should use thicker cuts. My coworker had pancakes. She enjoyed them. Overall, good experience.

Sometimes places should remember the importance of customer service. The food was ok. I just have an issue with inattentive people. When you are sitting at the counter on your phone with customers like myself needing a refill, you just shake your head and hope someone else is paying attention.

Great diner. Service great. Nice folks. Down home! I had poached eggs with link sausage and rye toast, endless coffee that wasn't bad either.

The breakfast was delicious! It was southern goodness like my grandma used to make! The biscuits and gravy were amazing and the coffee is fantastic. The service is quick and friendly. It is pretty close to the airport which made it a good stop before our flight. I highly recommend a stop at Dot's!

We were very pleasantly surprised. The beignet sticks were very light and tasty. We had chicken fried chicken and Philly cheesesteak which was flavored just right. My 12 yr old son dug in and ate everything. We have a running family joke about bisque so we couldn't resist trying the tomato bisque. Again it was very tasty. I would recommend this diner to anyone.

This one is at Williams & W. Napoleon. Lunch counter & booths on one side, tables on the other. Less retro tin signs & more Dot's specific decorations than the Jeff highway location. Same good food.

Stopped here for breakfast while in Kenner. Love the down home diner look and feel of the place. Had the eggs and bacon. The bacon was thin and crunchy - not my favorite, but OK. eggs and pancakes were good as well. Nice spot to drop in early (very early - i was in before 6).

Came to Dot's on Sunday 12:30 pm. Huge bang for your buck! Enjoy a traditional southern breakfast will all the trimmings for under 9:00 dollars! The beignet sticks were awesome. Warm and hospitable, like mom's kitchen.

Great diner with daily specials you go there get breakfast a daily special or a burger not the type of place to order a appetizer. They have great desserts and fountain drinks, they actually use real shelled eggs and not powdered eggs like IHOP and Denny,s!I eat there on a regular basis and have never had a bad meal if you want the Houston's atmosphere then go there!

I was looking for a breakfast spot and decided to try this place. It was clean on the outside and clean and quaint on the inside. The food was very good. I had the lumberjack breakfast and my daughter had the build your own omelet. I'm have to start taking pictures cause it tasted as good as it looked. Service was fast and friendly. There was a nice size crowd for a Monday morning but we were seated and served promptly. The prices were reasonable too. I will definitely try them again the next time I'm in town.

The first time we came here, everything would have gotten a five star. This time I wish they had half star options. They have a total of 3 customers in here. 5 employees, 3 of which are sitting down too busy being social to be of assistance. As I said, the place is not very busy. I don't understand why it took 15 minutes for the waitress to ask us for our drink order. 10 more minutes to bring the drinks to us and get our order. The waitress wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. As always the food was really good. Really should try the lumberjack.

Food completely on point this morning for breakfast. Order came out quick, hot, and very tasty for the three of us. Server could stand to smile a little and this place would have received a 5. We will return again. Just act like you like customers coming in the door.

Great diner with a wide variety on the menu. Pancakes were as big as the plate and fluffy, the beignet sticks were good, a little greasy due to the deep frying. The seafood omelet was very tasty but a heavy dish, it had shrimp and crawfish Julie sauce plus cheese. Hashbrowns were average, I had to ask mine to be cooked extra crispy. Onion rings were much thinner but battered nicely and cooked properly. I think they deep-fried the bacon, it didn't appear to be cooked on a griddle or in a pan. The Shrimp Poboy was average, the shrimp were small in size and appeared to be frozen/pre-breaded. I'm giving it 3 stars because the breakfast items were great tasting, the lunch items weren't so good.

After hearing there commercial on the radio tons of times i always wanted to try this place out. It was late Sunday night so i wasn't in the mood for breakfast foods but i sure wished i got them. The inside looked like a typical dinner, everything was very clean, and everyone greeted us as we walked in and made us feel welcomed. My wife ordered mini burgers w/ fries and a short stack. She wanted me to try there pancakes said they would blow IHOP away. i ordered onion rings and country fried steak with mashed potatoes n veggies. Our food came out really fast, there wasn't anyone in there at that point. The onion rings were ok but tasted like they were store bought. I didn't get to try my wifes mini burgers but i didn't hear any complaints either. My food was great, well except for the brown gravy over my mashed potatoes. I didn't care for it, so i scraped it off, everything else was great, I asked for some butter for the pancakes and she gave me a squeeze bottle which i thought was awesome so i could add a little or a ton. My wife was right ( Don't tell her i said that ) the pancakes were really freaking good. The entire meal was reasonably priced, and we had a good experience i will go back next time i am around one i will probably update with better review once i had there breakfast.

It's a dinner. Not much really to say about it except we only stopped here b/c it was the only place near the HWY where we could get breakfast in the afternoon after being on the road for the last 10+ hours. I got the Country breakfast and did not like the gravy or the hash browns. Denny's has better hash browns. I did however scrapped off the gravy of the biscuit and those biscuits are to die for. I wish I would've just ordered an order of biscuit w/some bacon and called it a day. Other than that the dinner is just old and not updated and the bathroom is tiny. The server wasn't nice or rude. She was just blah. Not a place I would ever go back to except to grab some biscuits on the go ;-)

Wow! They have expanded! And it's still "Standing room only"! You just gotta love this place. The food is always great and the service is always outstanding. Don't come if you are in a hurry, every thing is made to order so you have to have patience..I stop at Diots Diner here in Kenner every time I come to New Orleans.

So my ladyfriend and I went to dot's after a fun night of drinking and darts (thank god no one lost an eye). One thing I noticed is that I believe it's a requirement that all Dot's need at least one lady with a raspy voice. Anywho, the service was great, the food was pretty good, and the staff has that charm and love that you expect with a place like this. I also got a chance to meet Lord Chaz, who heads up the vampire tours in town. He even showed us a neat trick where he stops and starts his pulse. Creepy? Yes, but I like it. If you're looking for some late night eats and fun, then try this place out.

A great local (regional chain) diner with friendly staff, serving up tasty comfort food in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers a wide selection of breakfast and sandwich items, all reasonably priced. On a quest for a good meal from a non-chain restaurant, I searched Yelp and found Dot's. I'd driven past Dot's several times and thought about trying it, and now I'm glad I did. I found easy parking right on the corner, and was encouraged when I saw local law enforcement and taxi drivers dining here. Greeted when I entered, I decided to sit at the classic diner counter. The interior is nicely done in a semi-50's diner motif, with a fair amount of seating including booths and tables. Flat-panel TVs with CNN and ESPN gave you something to watch if the local color didn't somehow maintain your interest. The waitress promptly provided me with a menu and asked for my drink order, all the while greeting other diners as they came in, many by their first names (obviously a local favorite.) After reading about the Crawfish Julie (thanks Meli E.), I decided to have the seafood omelet with hash browns. Watching the cool looking cook whip up my omelet (she sure knew her way around the kitchen!), it was ready within a few minutes, and served with a buttermilk biscuit that was halved and then browned on the grill, a nice touch! My omelet was delicious, as were the hash browns. Despite my best efforts to limit how much I was going to eat, everything was so tasty I wound up eating it all. I checked out using a major credit card for under $10, and left with a satisfied smile on my face. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area!

So we are media folks in town for the Superbowl and hadn't heard anything about this place, but saw it on our way to the game and decided to have a pre-game breakfast. This place is great. Service is fast and the food (breakfast is all I can speak for) is just what you would expect from a good diner. The eggs were cooked well, the grits were tasty and overall it was just a nice experience. You can't go wrong if you want a good home cooked breakfast.

Dot's diner, shame on you! How dare you call yourself a diner and not offer milkshakes? We went here after getting the urge for brinner and a milkshake. It looked charming on the outside but after being seated we realized it seemed dirty and despite the typical swag on the walls there is nothing charming about this place. The waitresses and cooks clearly did not want to be there and simply looked miserable. Our waitress barely looked at us and although I ordered simple chocolate chip pancakes my husband's sandwich and waffle was out a good ten minutes before my two measly pancakes got to the table. It's redeeming qualities were the fact that the food is actually really cheap and my pancakes were pretty tasty. We'll be sticking with Camellia Grill.

Dots is for the most part what you expect to get out of a diner experience. The food is classic American lunch and breakfast options with a few local options thrown in. I have had breakfast and burgers here and all the times have been good with fast, attentive service. This location can get a bit cramped and loud on a busy weekend so get there early but as in many diner type establishments they turn the tables pretty quick so you won't be waiting too long.

Great location. A really local restaurant with great breakfasts. If that is what you want, you've found it here. Right off the Interstate and the Crowne Plaza. We took a shuttle from the Plaza every morning.

it wasn't busy at all & yet it took forever to get our smokehouse burgers.. 1 was ordered with out onions & sure enough there they were.. waitress tried to say they were part of the sauce..NOT!! also 1/3lb burger was paper thin & cooked to a crisp.. after cooking a 2nd burger without onions it was del to the table without the fries that had been ordered & del w 1st burger.. after a couple of bites each we had to get the ck & leave.. it was horrible.. never going there again.. similar experience at diff location yrs ago but figured it had gotten better with time.. I was wrong..
