I have eaten at this restaurant twice and both times felt that the food and service were both very good. Wait time for food was minimal and the staff was very pleasant. Both times I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box at lunch time and thought the food to be very good. A nice little surprise came at the end of both meals - a small but unexpected treat! (Spoiler alert - first time a tiny portion of banana pudding and second time a few slices of orange) I will definitely visit again. As far as stars go, if there were three and a half I would select that. I'm falling somewhere between A-OK and Yay! I'm a fan! I'd say definitely 3 1/2 stars.

Would have given it four stars but the last two times I had service issues. Once it took about 49 minutes to get my food, the other time it was wrong. Overall the food is OK. Nothing great but have not had anything bad either

We found this place on yelp because we were in the area and we wanted some sushi. The ambiance is decent. However, service was a little slow so I definitely wouldn't suggest to eat here if you're in a rush. The food was just okay as well as the service. What bothered us the most was that their menu descriptions were not what we received when our meals came out. My friend ordered a house salad. The first salad was just lettuce and ranch. When she notified the waitress, she stated that it didn't come with cucumbers & tomatoes. She had to show her on the menu that it did before she brought out the correct salad. The second salad was fine. Then came the sushi. We ordered the Saints, LSU & Vegas rolls. The Saints roll is described to have crabmeat, not snow crab. I guess snow crab & crabmeat are used interchangeably here because it was definitely snow crab. The Saints roll was still good. The others were nothing to rave about as we only ate one piece and the rest remained on the plate. Price wise, it's a good deal but you might not get what's described on the menu. Just pay attention to what you order & what you actually receive.

The food here is always pretty good. Plus when you're getting a take out order you can always get 10% off with the coupon on the menu. I really like their squid salad. I like their sushi a lot and they also offer ice green tea. The bathrooms are always fairly clean as well. I've been here several times and never had a bad experience.

I am so happy to finally find a restaurant in Gonzales or near home with good sushi and great servers! Very satisfied!

Since this is less than 1 mile from my house, I usually call in to-go orders 2-3 times a month. I always get the Vegas roll and the Spicy Crawfish roll and it has consistently been good. Their prices are pretty cheap for sushi and the food quality has always been good for me.

I thought the Philadelphia Roll was very surprisingly good. It was the best thing I eat there. The service was good, although when we eat there, there really wasn't very many people at the restaurant.

Love their online ordering system. Very easy to use. Sushi is always fresh. Service is good bidder groupons from time to time.

It was my birthday, so decided to go to Kaminari's for my birthday dinner. We had the Chicken spring rolls and those were extremely fresh, crispy, and well seasoned, certainly worth a repeat. The Miso soup and Wonton soups were extremely flavorful and this is what I want on those sick days! I had the Amazing Chicken, which is fried chicken with a burnt orange sauce....a bit of sweet, sour, & spicy. It was good, but not as spicy and seasoned as some of the other dishes I have tried. My wife had the chicken hibachi entree and she found it to be lacking seasoning too, so maybe they were just having an off night in the kitchen. It was good, just not exceptional like previous visits. When I am craving Asian food, I want those balanced flavors to really hit my palate....sweet, sour, spicy, umami....

One of the better Asian restaurants in Ascension. The staff is kind and the food, while bordering on the bland side at times, is delicious. The place is clean and has a nice ambience to it.

By far some of the best sushi I've had. Having relocated from a metropolitan city labeled one of the food capitals, this restaurant's atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, and delicious cuisine ranks high. The Snow Mountain Roll is the best and compares to Hanabi Rolls I've had.

Very friendly service, clean modern decor, and fresh sushi. Glad to have good sushi so close to home. The Chinese dishes are also very good.

The staff always greets me with a smile and by name. The manager remembers that I was the first customer the first time they opened. The food is excellent. They are always happy to meet my ingredient demands (I am a diabetic so I need really low carb). The Thai dishes are good and the sushi chef is talented.

I was craving sushi and stopped by around 8pm one weekday evening. A Japanese restaurant in a strip-mall off of I-10. The service was good. The ambiance is good. However, the food was just okay, not great. I had miso soup, cucumber salad and a tuna dish. I have had much better, hence my 3-star rating.

Everything we tried was delicious. We were highly impressed with the sushi, fried rice, dumplings, and Yaki udon.

This place was great. We were the only group for most of the time we were there, on a Thursday night. It's BYO, but they serve sake as well. Prices are good and service is even better. Great location as well, will definitely come again. However, please do not be misled, especially if you are a sushi-fanatic. I wouldn't consider this place among my top experiences with sushi. I liked their unique spice combinations, but the fish isn't mind-blowingly fresh. Note: To the people reviewing the Philly roll here because they came to Philly and thought they should eat it, personally I don't like the Philly roll at all. It's gross anywhere you eat it, not only at this restaurant.
