Great food, amazing service. Our waitress, Gwen, was an absolute angel. Prompt service, great with the munchkins, and all around pleasant to be near! Giant rigatoni was the bomb, the braised beef and tortellini was excellent! Thanks again for a great meal!

We had to ask for breadsticks after she promised to bring us breadsticks. It felt like we were stranded in a desert of soup and salad with no breadsticks to quench our thirsts. I don't ask for much but when we ask for unlimited breadsticks I at least expect to not ask for breadsticks.

This place is awful! The food & service are terrible! Won't be back! If you really want a great experience at an Olive Garden, go to Topeka! Haven't had a bad experience there yet!

Pleasantly surprised & pleased with our dining experience at this Italian chain restaurant in Manhattan, KS. I had the Braised Beef Tortelloni w/ House Salad, and Robert Mondavi Cabernet wine. Good wait staff, reasonable prices, and too much food to eat! Will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow :)

This visit took exactly a year ago. My friend had a birthday and he lives literally across the street from the Olive Garden. We walked over to check it out. This was my first visit, and watching those OG commercials made me want to experience the family style environment, with the quirky, yet witty banter with a few of my close friends. I wanted that laughter where the son makes a joke, and everyone laughs. That's what I was expecting. The place looks huge on the outside, but inside it's spread out but it feels crowded to me. I believe it's their attempt to maximize their space by squeezing as many tables as possible. The tables outside of the booth are put together too close, so if there's an over weight person sitting on the table next over, it may be a tight squeeze for you to sit down. Their menu is fairly huge, so there is a lot to choose from. I stuck with the unlimited salad, soup, and bread sticks for I believe 7-8 dollars. The salad was simple and good, and the bread sticks... I swear I would work one hour there a week just to get free bread sticks. They are that good, and will fill you up if you have too many. Soup was good, and they do let you change soups if you want to try something different. Drinks - They let you sample I believe up to 4-5 wines for 50-75 cents I believe. Which is a hell of a deal, considering the guy who served us, gave us a little bit more than the sample. So if you like trying out different wines, you can get it cheap. Service wise they are fairly timely with checking your drinks and making sure you have enough bread sticks or anything. Our waitress was very nice, even though we teased her a bit. What I did not like: That every 1 out of 3 tables/booths there was a baby. When there is a baby, they are loud and annoying. I know this is a family style restaurant, but they consistently crying and screaming made it not so pleasant. I didn't see anyone act like they did in the commercial, so we had to fake our laughs and pretend we were living it up! So if you want to fill up on food, you will not leave hungry at all.

Not a huge fan of Olive Garden in general. Breadsticks are good. Salad is hit or miss with the amount of ingredients in it. Service is also inconsistent and can be slow. $14 for chicken fettucine alfredo that in my opinion is just as good as the frozen kind you can get across the way at hyvee for like $2. Not my go to place to eat.

My husband and I just moved to the area and this was actually his first time trying Olive Garden. Our experience was outstanding from the second we walked in to the second we walked out. Our waiter was Ryan and he was the best waiter I've ever had. Not only was a very polite, attentive, and knowledgeable; he even stopped to chat with us about other great places to visit! Of course its Olive Garden, so the food was wonderful and the restaurant was clean but Ryan definitely made the classic Olive Garden experience, over the top and something to rave about!

I love this Olive Garden. I've been here too many times to count and I have never been disappointed. We even went here the night of our wedding, with our bridal party and not only did we get a discount ;) but the service was great and we received our food quickly!! *The only disadvantage is that sometimes there is a wait, but hey the food's worth it :D

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! To begin, our Bruschetta appitizer was GROSS. the tomato relish was soured and the tomatoes were CLEARLY not fresh. My husband ordered the "Tour Of Italy". Not only was the alfredo sauce SEPARATED.. (which is what occurs after someone has placed alfredo in the fridge and then MICROWAVES) they clearly had plated the food and stuck in the fridge... and threw it in the microwave when ordered. The Lasagna noodles were crunchy.. from being microwaved.. and the parmigiana chicken's breading was super soft and the chicken was rubbery... to top it off my grilled chicken had no browning and was very rubbery like a cheap TV dinner. We are very dissapointed. i wish there was a johnny carino's here! another sign of our whole meal being microwaved was how piping hot it was when it came out.. VERY POOR. we will never go again. We requested more alfredo for my husband and the waittress acted like she already knew they reheated it! she didnt even ask for an explanation! PLUS my sons kids pizza WAS GUMMY and just gross. Just because my son is a child does not mean he should have TERRIBLE food. BTW NEEDS A DEEP CLEANING too. yuk I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS.

Salad and bread sticks excellent as usual. Most of the entrees are acceptable. Would like to see them add some antipasto dishes. Lines are bad on the weekends though but this is a college town, so that is expected.

Paste-a. Overcooked pasta with wallpaper paste every time. Yes, I hate chains in general, but I hate this one more than most. Edible, but not memorable in the least.

So far the service and food is great. However, the bread sticks seem to always be a bit bland and stale.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
