Healthy Meal suggestions for Cracker Barrel

good food, great service. On a road trip, I left my daughters winter coat at this indiana Cracker Barrel. I only realized it was at cracker barrel when we where back home in northern vermont. I asked if I could somehow pay them to ship the coat back to me. They sent the coat back to me on the house. Not only that, I think this is more than one nice manager. The manager said she had to call someone at corporate to see what to do about shipping the coat. For thier great service they have one me over as a customer. unfortunately, I think the nearest cracker barrel is in Boston four hours away.

This is the most inefficiently operated Cracker Barrel we've ever frequented. We've eaten here 5 times in the last 4 weeks--always for lunch. They do not take names and give you an approximate wait time. I guess that is because they have tables available. There is a line that you stand in, and eventually the hostess seats you. They would sell more merchandise in their store" if patrons didn't have to hold onto their places in the line! Once seated, a server appears fairly quickly to take drink orders. We are loyal Cracker Barrel customers and this is not (thankfully) our"home" location. Husband is in town for business, and we like the lunch specials; however, I will NOT visit this particular location again. In addition to the unusually long time it takes to be seated (again, there have always been available tables on our visits), it takes an inordinate amount of time to receive food and pay at the cashier station(s) at this location. I would NEVER suggest this location for a road trip meal stop. Frankly, we frequent Cracker Barrel quite often on road trips because it is normally a fairly quick stop. That is most certainly not the case here!

My boyfriend and I were seated and sat for fifteen minutes without anyone coming to greet us. All the tables around us were being served...even three waitresses walked by. No one stopped to take our drink orders or anything. We walked out and no one stopped or said anything to us. We took our money else where. Very disappointed.

Very disappointing! Dry meat and cold food. Our waitress was a doll but not very fast. Overall experience...I would never go back! I could also tell that my food was stuck underneath a warmer. My mashed potatoes were very dry and cold as well as the gravy. U got the pork tenderloin and it was so dry I couldn't even eat the rest. A waste of 10 dollars!

If you need a filling, home style meal this is your place. The food is consistent, and plentiful. The staff at this Cracker Barrel are attentive. I had a plate of sides for my lunch and it was very good. Also it's amusing to shop in the little store. Where else can you find everything you ever needed that has an IU or Purdue logo!

The mash potatoes were not "real" potatoes - the meat loaf was bland and looked more like it was pieced together rather than a slice - the corn muffins were bitter. I can't believe the "chef" (person who reheats the frozen meal) would allow a plate that bad come out of the kitchen but when the waitress puts it down and looks for an appreciative smile. But it wasn't MY choice to eat here, and I do respect elderly relatives without taste buds who can gum their food.

Come sit on the rocking chairs and play oversized checkers with the families and the buses arriving from the nursing homes. This is old people heaven but let's be real- it's pretty tasty too to most anyone. I tend to manage to burn my palette every single time I come here so I'm almost afraid to come anymore but I couldn't peel my parents or grandparents away from here if I tried. I love their gift shop with all of the vintage games and candies. Fish fry's on Fridays are a great deal.

Cracker Barrel is not what it once was, food quality has gone down and pricing has gone up. They were once the place to go but not any more. Suggest you find another place to eat!

My dear aunt and uncle live in Canada, but whenever they come to the States they always rave about this place. So when we met up for a wedding they took us here. WOW!!! Awesome menu and great prices. Very filling meal and plenty of leftovers. I had the Coca-Cola cake, which doesnt taste like you think it would, and it was great. On other trips east we have made it a point to stop at any Cracker Barrel close.
