Small, quaint locally owned and operated establishment that offers good ice cream, finger foods, and even some hot items as well. Decent burrito too. My favorite is the caramel and butterscotch malt! WOW! So good! The youthful feel of the place is nice, as the staff usually consists of high school aged kids. They have never gotten my order wrong and I have been here dozens of times. They are hard working and that is something you don't see out of the youth of today!

We loved this place. Until today. I got an itemized receipt because it seems that although I order the same thing for my kids all the time, it seem to pay different prices. This happened a lot last year as well... I figure 'teens behind the counter' kind of thing. Today I saw that this place actually charges .75 cents ... for sprinkles!! Like 50 sprinkles could fit on a medium cone, right!? That's .75 cents worth?? Talk about a rip off. I think we'll stick to buying ice cream and a JAR of sprinkles ourselves if that's the price I'm paying.

Along with Marvins, the only other place in town you simply cannot miss. To say that I adore the 'castle, its grease, fat, sugar and stickiness is an understatement. You just simply have to make a stop.

I live in Indy, but my sweetie & I go to Greencastle several times a year and always stop here. Both hard and softserve ice cream available, plus a decent selection of drive-in food fare. Their ice cream specialties are superb; we've tried the banana split, the turtle sundae, the brownie sundae--all huge (we share one) and all yummy. The people are friendly and courteous.

Nothing like a walk to the Dairy Castle for some greasy fare and a butterscotch sundae after a night of boozin' it up in some silly frat house. Of course, the sugar/carb induced coma doesn't make that walk home very easy... Or was that from the roofies?

Still the best soft serve I've ever had - the chocolate and vanilla swirl dipped in chocolate is my favorite. Worth the ice cream headache. Slushes are good, too. The tacos are good, but just keep in mind these are tacos in the middle of Indiana...the same place where potato chip casseroles are popular.
