We had the thin crust with pepperoni, it was very good nothing spectacular. It's a cute place with friendly service and decent food. Next time we'll definitely try the stuffed.

We visited 18th Street Brewing last night and ordered a pizza from here. It only took 45 minutes for them to deliver it right to the pub, which is across the RR Tracks. We also ordered appetizers of Fried Pickles and Cheesy Garlic Bread. Both were very good, there were a lot of pickles but the bread was a little small, I thought. Our Deep dish sausage and pepperoni had a lot of cheese on it, and a lot of sauce. My wife didn't care for so much sauce but I liked it. The pizza had really good flavor and was a good size. I had not had pizza from this place before and was very satisfied with the overall taste and cost. They delivered to the Brew Pub, so that says a lot in itself about them going the extra mile. I'll order from here again. (Probably when we visit the pub again) But, this is worth driving a little out if our way to get, even if the pub wasn't next door.

I live in lake station where the only pizza deliveries are JJs Verona and Papa Johns...all Chains that have gross pizza at high prices. Miller Pizza is a bit pricey but we ordered the large thick crust cheese and it was AWESOME. Cant wait to try their deep dish..would def. pay higher price because this is such higher quality than anything near me. Good Caesar salad too!!

So since we couldn't go all the way to Chicago to get a deep dish we went to the closest place to it. Long story short, my very simple specific order came out the opposite of a deep dish which was a thin crust! :-/ Besides the fact that I'm pregnant, I'm already very picky about satisfying my palate and this place had good reviews so I thought I was in for a treat but boy was I wrong! They're excuse was maybe since I ordered it on the cell that they didn't hear it very well?!?! Yea right! That was the first thing I said when I called! The word "thin" never even came near to coming out of my mouth...I'm soooooo DISAPPOINTED that I waited nearly 45min and drove outta my way for nothing and now my hungry little family has to wait till we figure out something else! I should've known from the attitude the waitress had on the phone that my order probably wasn't going to be right not cause of the phone but cause of the attitude!

Some friends and I had spent a long day in Gary working outside on a warm day. We were looking for some good food in a low key atmosphere. Yelp pointed us to Millers and we couldn't have been happier. The dining room is a local history museum of sorts (not in a cheesy potbelly way but real vintage photos and such). The food was great, Great pizza, fantastic atmosphere and the friendliest of service. Thanks much for the great time!

SImply put, this is the best pizza in the region no matter what type of crust you select! Top Notch! It hits the trifecta of delicious food, great service, and a great dine-in atmosphere. (delivery also works well if that's your thing).

Excellent pizza, a little on the expensive side.

The owner served us. We asked him to tell us what to have, we weren't disappointed! The Italian roast beef sandwich is absolutely amazing. the Chicago style pizza was everything we hoped for. The owner told us he opened up several restaurants in CA, where we are from. We'll definitely go try them out, they're called, "Fresh Bros" Definitely a gem. The restaurant is on the site of the old train depot...a nice historic add!

I loved their pizza! That was one of the great things about growing up in Miller. Deep dish crust with tons of cheese, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and olives! YUM, YUM, YUM!!! Every time I go back to Gary, I make it a point to eat their pizza. Certainly the best place to eat on Lake st.!

Just had am AMAZING lunch here. The owner is pleasant and accommodating, and the pizza (stuffed with pepperoni and mushrooms). Then he brought out an Italian beef and sausage combo sandwich for us to try, just because I mentioned them. Great experience, and we didn't have to go all the way to Chicago for it.

My childhood summer vacations were spent enjoying this Deep Dish pizza. The delivery guy was at our house so much he was practically considered family! Yeah, those were good times! Oh, the fond memories I have of that pizza. Huge slices to keep you in leftovers for days! The flaky buttery deep dish crust and extra thick & gooey layer of cheese. But now I live in LA and can't get a decent slice. Nothing compares...you hear me? Nothing. I pity those that have never tried this pizza.

Not the best deep dish I've had (being a Chicago girl) but staying in Miller with the SO, this is the best pizza you can get. I always opt for the thin crust, and it's loaded with cheese and very good. Yea, a tad pricy (compared to Pizza Hut ten buck specials these days) but trust me, it's pretty much the ONLY decent thing in the area. And it's very loaded with toppings and filling, so you will get your money's worth!

"The original one stop Chicago style deep dish pizza stop in Gary, I remember going here as a kid, not only is the inside interesting as hell (the train that went from outside, back inside, around the perimiter of the place, and back outside again was my favorite when younger), the pizza is great. If you want a great pizza with ultra thick delicious crust smothered in copious amounts of cheese, check this place out, you won't regret it. Be sure to bring plenty of money though, it can get expensive."

I worked in Gary for a bit over the summer with the Obama campaign, and Miller Pizza Station was quite possibly the best restaurant I've found in the area. Ordering a deep dish spinach pizza for the office (or just myself) was always a treat, and eating-in had its charms as well. The flat-panel television in the sit-down portion of the restaurant was tuned to the Olympics when I was there last, and everyone had a great time watching. The friendly atmosphere and excellent pizza have won me over - next time I'm in the area I'll make sure to stop in!

Bland, greasy, boring. Pretty generic if you ask me, unless you're going to the actual restaurant for the toy train atmosphere. Of course, it's the only other EDIBLE pizza in Gary/Miller that I'm aware of that isn't Flamingo (which is easily much better). It's plain 'ol pizza. Meh. It's edible and it doesn't taste like crap, it's just uninspired to me. Oh well. Try it and maybe it's your thing, but this isn't mine. I get my Chicago pizza in Chicago and the thin crust here is, well, it's just okay.

Excellent pizza! The Region has its fair share of fantastic pizza places and Miller Pizza Station is one of them. The only bad part is they're a little on the expensive side... but with the generous toppings, you'll soon forget about the tab. Thumbs up!

The best pizza and sides in town. Even the delivery people know your name. If a mistake is made, it's fixed Johnny on the spot. Nice eat in atmosphere too. You get it like it's ordered. GREAT!

I found out about Millers when some ladies talked about a lunch special. For a little over $5.50 (I think it might be $5.61) you get 2 huge slices of filling pizza and a soda. The pizza is deep dish, choice of sausage, pepperoni or cheese. The pizza is good and super filling but it makes me happy that this is not a chain and it makes a difference in the community. It's a bonus that across the street 18th St. Brewery opened, you can grab a pie and beer to go. Yum!! This last visit I waited in the restaurant area. It was very clean and super cute. Staff is very friendly. I love this place

First time at Miller's. We all loved the pizza. We ate at Giordano's in Chicago yesterday, and all four of us agreed that Miller's was better Chicago style pizza. (We loved Giordano's too). The wings were not spicy at all- that was a bit disappointing. Kind of just fried chicken. Good, but not buffalo tasting at all. Super friendly staff. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday night. I thought that was weird, but then someone told us in a text that Gary, IN is dangerous or something? We are from out of town. Maybe Gary is sketchy at night. Great pizza! Great experience.

Good Chicago style pizza. I've been eating here since high school, and now I stop by here when I make it back to town. The sandwiches are also good!!

Got the Chicago stuffed pie, with black olives, sausage, ground beef and pepperoni. Holy crap this is the best pie I've had in a long while. I would recommend this place to everyone. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is awesome and the food is even better. The wait though leaves something to be desired but if you call ahead it wouldn't be as bad, I will be returning here for sure.

Good deep dish pizza but by no means legendary. If you are in the neighborhood stop by. This weary traveler enjoyed the deep dish with plenty of sausage. The epic carb loading, right before hitting the road again at 10pm, ensured a bright eyed journey...until the insulin crash.

The Chicago stuffed was excellent! Unexpected delicious pizza from a local Chicagoan, I was very impressed by their food. Service wasn't the greatest but the food was amazing. Definitely world recommended to a friend.

Awesome thin crust pizza. Really good stuffed pizza. Take note that the deep dish pizza is not true Chicago-style deep dish, but a pizza with a thicker crust. This is our favorite place for pizza!

  • Paul C.

Ok I never thought this place was good to begin with but today is the last straw...I placed an order that they never did....went in to get it and I was berated by the employees as well as the owner. accused me of calling Michigan City location when I tried to give him my number. so after I was humiliated and made to feel like a fool I went out to my car and re dialed the number and it was the correct number. ....my previous gripe with this place was that the pizza was always under cooked. The kitchen. and building is extremely dirty I wouldn't be surprised to find out they had bugs or other pests......The delivery also takes an hour and 30 minutes for no reason whatsoever

I'm originally from the region and used to stop in here often back in the early 90's. On a visit to see family we got a couple of deep dish pizzas and they were awesome. I'm a Chicago-style pizza snob so the bar is high!

What a gem! This pizza kicks @$$. Hard to describe it any other way. Had a Chicago style pie with ham, pineapple and garlic--perfect 10. The owner, and "oldest and most original Fresh Brother" came out to chat to us. When we told him about our road trip from LA to DC he made us an incredible Italian beef sandwich as a special treat. He wanted us to have something we couldn't get in LA. Once again, home run. My wife said it's the best beef she's had in America. Wow. If you're passing through you will be cheating your own taste buds if you don't stop here!

We LOVE Miller Pizza! I prefer it even to Gino's East in Chicago. I have friends who come to Miller from Chicago to eat it!! Good good good.

That was a disaster. We sat down at 8:30, ordered drinks, an app, a Stromboli and a large pizza all at the same time. We got the drinks in a decent amount of time but after that things just fell apart. The appetizer and Stromboli came out at the same time. We never got the pizza. At first the server said it would be 15 more minutes. More than 20 minutes go by and we check in again, still another 15 minutes. At this point at least 3 other tables have pizza that arrived more than a half an hour after us. We ended up just leaving without getting the pizza because the server didn't seem to be able to give us an accurate estimate on if we would ever get it. Very frustrating! The pizza that others had looked and smelled amazing, wish we had been able to try some.

Not a fan. Greasy Pizza with black specks on the crust. I absolutely hate that. It is a sure sign that the oven is dirty, if not the surface the pizza was made on. Sure, it prolly isn't dirt, but it is not a sign of a clean kitchen.

Went into Miller's on a Saturday night, 9oclock. It has a really cool feel, mix of historical photos, Americana decor, trains, and notably very clean. Another plus- they tell us to just find seats, very inviting. The server was initially amusing, clearly someone's son or something since when we asked about what beers are on tap "I'm not sure, I'll be back since I'm not old enough to serve"; he took a while to get back to us but that was OK since it gave us time to look through the menu. We ordered a pizza, zucchini sticks and drinks, and one of our party ordered a sandwich. After 5 minutes the waiter came out and informed us the deep dish would take 50 minutes. While usually this wouldn't be a problem, we were really hungry, we were in Miller for a race, so we decided to switch to thin crust. After a noticeable amount of time, our zucchini sticks came out, but also the sandwich that was ordered came out. All the food was very good but it was odd how the sandwich came out with the appetizers. After another 5 minutes, the waiter came out and apologized for the wait but our pizza should be out in about 15 minutes. 20 minutes went by. We've been in this restaurant for almost an hour and keep seeing other people getting their food while we wait hungry. Our waiter is also avoiding us. We flag him down, he says "oh sorry, I don't decide when pizzas go in, but it should be another 15 minutes." He didn't say this with any attitude, but still, last straw. We were just promised pizza in 15 minutes 20 minutes ago. We decided to pay our bill and order pizza from somewhere local that we could grab it from when we got home. It's a shame too since the people who were eating looked like it was really good. Had the waiter not asked us to, essentially, change our order to save time, then fucked up, then not owned up to the fuck up and avoided us, this could have still been saved. I think I'll just continue drinking at 18th street brewery next year after the race.

Pizza was just ok. Had a small Works deep disk. Didn't care for the texture and seasoning of their sausage. Their sauce and crust lacked flavor. Once I picked out the sausage I realized there was barely any mushrooms, green pepper and onion. . I likely would not go back .

I have been wanting to try Miller Pizza for the longest time based on the reviews and for the most part I would say it lived up to the hype. I tried the thin crust and the deep dish. They were both pretty good. However, I was told by staff that the deep dish was preferred by customers over the Chicago stuffed but the stuffed looked better and I wish I would have tried it instead. The appetizers were also pretty good, especially the chicken fingers w/blue cheese. Also tried the turkey & bacon sub. It was decent, but I found it kind of strange that they put the toppings on the side(which I didn't know about until I already ate the sandwich). Glad to find a place that still has anchovies available for a pizza topping. Many places don't have them anymore due to the fact that not many people request them. So overall Miller Pizza was good and I would go back.

Decent pizza in a fun atmosphere. I would not go out of my way to eat here. I didn't really like ingredients in the pizza.
