Although it's just a greasy spoon and destination for drunks or college kids suffering from hangovers, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the good ol' "awful" house. The food is out in minutes, it's hot and greasy, and reminds you of your chain smoking grandma's kitchen. Oh and did I mention it's open 24 hours? When all your friends abandon you, who is there for you? Waffle House. When it's 4am and you can't fall back asleep who do you go to? Waffle House. When you need to pull an all nighter and study with unlimited coffee who calls your name? Waffle House. It has a siren call for all of us. It has our back.

I have to admit, I was quite skeptical, especially when our 4 year old wanted to sit up to the bar. But in the end, we left satisfied. We enjoyed watching our food be prepared too. My 14 year old had the PB waffle and it was awesome. I had the fiesta omelette (two thumbs up), my husband had the bacon, egg, text toast thing and my sons had waffles (one chocolate). We all really enjoyed our dinner. Glad we stopped.

You just can't go wrong with a waffle house, I have eaten at more than 40-50 restaurants nationwide over the years and this one here in Franklin, close to my home, is one of the best operated ones that I have visited. Good food, good service, always...

Well you really can't go wrong with Waffle House. The food is home cooked, the waitresses are wonderful seasoned hard working women who call you sweetie and tell it like it is. The food is a bit oily (because of the single flat grill that everything gets cooked on) but that's what your getting here...traditional home cooked diner food. As long as you know what to expect you'll be happy. With that said I would not recommend this to any vegans!!

There is a reason Waffle House is on Lovers Lane in Franklin. Simply put, because Waffle House is for lovers. Lovers of mind melting waffles and staples such as the All Star Special. In the world of late night binge food, i can think of no higer calling. Plus, in realtion to a home for lovers, ladies will melt when you use your charm and promise them the lovely allure of the house they call waffle.
