Sesame chicken and General Tsao chicken combo meals from here are great, but this place has by far the BEST crab rangoons! I advise calling ahead because they make everything fresh and waiting in their dull dining area gets old. This place is definitely for take-out, although you can stay and eat if you want.

There is nothing really 'Hong Kong' about this place, so don't come here expecting dim sum, ho-fen and the likes. Ran by mandarin-speaking owners, the food is very typical of any other take-out place, unfortunately... Recently we've noticed their beef entrees consist of less and less beef and more fillers. Some items were overly greasy/salty, but what would one expect from a take-out place anyways...? :\

Food is OK, but the cook needs to be mindful of foreign objects in the food. My spareribs had a long, thin piece of wire in them.

On the northside it is rare to find places like these which are cheap are hole in the wall sort of places. That being said this place has a very big menu with so many options refereeing all the meats and veggies options. I have ordered take out before from here couple of times and the portions are always big and more than sufficient for 2 meals for me. considering that i think this place is a steal and definitely worth the money as the taste is pretty good too. I would only go here if i am looking for a quick cheap fix for dinner or lunch and need decent Chinese take out. if you do decide to eat here however, remember service will be above average at best. however, the prices and the convenience of living just a mile away will make me return to this place

My family and I have been eating at HKC for easily the last 9 or 10 years or so. It's by far the most common place we go for Chinese take out. The food is always made fresh and in a timely manner, (I can call in my usually fairly big order, and it will be done by the time I arrive to pick it up). The lady who runs the place is friendly and always on the go. It's American Chinese takeout done right. Big fan of their Mu Shu Pork and Orange Flavoured Chicken, as well as their steamed dumplings. We've tried other takeout places in the area, but we've kept coming back to Hong Kong Cuisine, time and again for a reason. They're just that good.

Disappointing. I "cheated" on my usual Chinese take out spot because this one was closer to my house. I was pretty bummed. We ordered sesame chicken, General Taos, and orange chicken. I put all three on my plate over rice and if I had my eyes closed, I probably couldn't have been able to tell a difference. The orange lacked orange, the Taos lacked spice, and the sesame lacked, well, sesame? The chicken was heavily breaded and it was one of those where you cut into it and wondered if there was actually any chicken inside. The one redeeming quality was the crab rangoon. The insides had a sweeter flavor which I liked although my husband didn't. Back to my old take out spot I go...

This is our go to take out Chinese food. Everything always tastes fresh even the fried rice. Not like the neon yellow fried rice some other places serve. The steamed dumplings are the best around also.

My husband and I go here often for take out. Love the wonton soup! Also get the steamed chicken and veggies. For the amount we get it is very reasonable. Service is very quick and efficient.

Brought home take-out about an hour before closing. Big mistake. Fried chicken wings were overcooked to the point of being inedible. Cardboard is more tender. Orange Beef was neither orange flavored nor beefy. It was slivers of meat surrounded by a 1/2 inch of breading in a watery sauce. The only thing my husband and I were willing to eat was the mu-shu pork, but the duck sauce was so thick it was more of a paste than a sauce. I'm going to stick with Peking Garden from now on.

I created a account just to review this place. My Girlfriend and I ordered dinner from here tonight. we threw out 90% of it. The Pork fried rice smelled and tasted awful. I had the General Tso's Chicken, which I just finished puking up 20 min after eating. My Girlfriend had Chicken and Broccoli, it had a terrible flavor and tasted like oil. I have ordered from here in the past and recall it being good. However, after that meal I will never order from here again. They need a new cook and like another Yelper said, Don't go near closing.

Ordered takeout here a few weeks ago. Hubby got the General's Chicken and I got the Sweet and Sour Chicken combo. Also ordered the crab rangoon. All were delicious! The fried rice here was very good and my sweet and sour chicken was breaded well and not greasy at all. The place looks like a dive but the food was delicious and reasonable. We'll be back.

Okay so you know those nights when you are just craving Chinese, and to top it all off you have to watch a good movie too? That's what recently happened to me. I've had failures though searching for a good Chinese place around Fishers. Most hole-in-the-wall Chinese places here haven't been so pleasant. Bummer! But I was more than satisfied with Hong Kong Cuisine.

So, we gave this Chinese carry out another try....We got Orange chicken. It left something to be desired...just was not very spicy and would not want to have it again. We find the pot stickers strange--very thick and doughy with strange dark colored meat in the middle. I don't understand why their white rice is so oily????I thought Chinese white rice was to be sticky, not oily. Maybe it is just me, but we don't like the oily white rice. The Egg Drop soup was average. Anyway, I don't think we will be giving them another try unless it is just for some egg drop soup and egg rolls for lunch....

This place is pretty decent! It's not the best Chinese food you are ever going to eat but it is definitely not the worst and when it comes to the other Chinese places in Fishers it is by far the best for takeout! The meat actually tastes like something you can recognize, they don't use MSG and the service is pretty fast and courteous! If you are wanting some Chinese takeout and you're close, definitely check this place out!

Steamed dumplings are perfection. I also like the tso's chicken, beef and broccoli. Slow roasted pork fried rice is really good.

They have new owners (or new operators) since the last time I ate here a few years ago. The present people are from the China mainland (not Hong Kong), so the food no longer has that South China/Cantonese flair, and is more like the standard Mandarin Chinese restaurants. The menu and preparation are pretty much standard, with the common red-and-black menu, and back-lit pictures above the cashier counter. I had my standard Moo Goo Gai Pan, and noticed the freshness of the vegetables, and just the right amount of seasoning, no excess salt, chicken was good, the egg roll was great, and the pork-fried-rice was superb, with lean and succulent pork chunks, not the usual dried out pieces that normally come in pork-fried-rice. Noticeable differences from standard Chinese walk-up-and-order restaurants are the self-serve soda fountain (Pepsi products), disposable chopsticks available alongside the self-serve plastic utensils, larger than average dining area, and a rack of kids' toys and puzzles, placed out near the magazine rack, so they were probably as much for customers' children as the owners' children. The cashier brought the food out to my table instead of just calling me to get it. Location is on the North side of 126th Street, just East of SR 37, just East of the Shell gas station.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
