Good beer selection. Lots of TVs too.

My fiance and I went here for a quick lunch - we loved the spinach dip that was served in a lightly-fried taco bowl. The pork tenderloin sandwich was awesome - and the fries were so good! We tried their only pasta dish, blackened chicken pasta... the flavors were good, but it needed a bit more sauce (I know, ordering a pasta dish at a bar/restaurant is usually never a good idea, but it was better than expected). It seems as if they have toned down the noise in the restaurant because there were no issues with it at all. Overall, great value and good food for the price. We'll be back!

I was here this past week and was happy to see a healthier side on their menu for what visually seems like a sports bar. I ordered the Fu Fu salad and it was good. They had a good bit of outdoor seating, which was nice, and on the inside many TVs if you need a place to enjoy good food and beer while catching a game. I would return...

I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but I'm finished! I have only once had a decent mixed drink and I ordered the same thing every time. Then last week I was with a large group of people and when the horrid waitress asked if everyone had placed their drink order I raised my hand..... And she WALKeD away! I had to go to the bar to get a beer, figured at least that wouldn't get screwed up. After having to wait on myself, I finished my beer and went elsewhere! Not going back!

This is a general review as I've been away from Yelp for a bit. I've lost count of the number of times I've been to this pub/restaurant. It's a usual stop for me and my coworkers for lunch and happy hour. Overall it's a nice casual place to have lunch, dinner or just drinks. I've done all three. The food is pub food and priced just right. The servers are friendly and the food comes out hot, fresh, and tasting good. I have had good experiences here multiple times. Always a good day to visit "The Pickle."

What the heck am I missing? I cannot stand this place. The food, sucks. Sucks! Beers are good, and decently priced (3.05 happy hour) but the food...ugh. The first time, I had fish and chips. Terrible. I assumed it was my fault for getting fish at a joint like this. The second time, I had chicken nachos. Playing it safe. TERRIBLE! They used the kind of chicken that comes out of a bag, ready to eat, with the fake char marks...gawd. That's barely ok at my house, let alone when I'm out. The THIRD time, I had a burger. It was good! I felt like doing a happy dance! The fourth time, I had ribs. I got sick within 3 hours. Like, sick sick. I do believe I was food poisoned. Haven't been back since. Beyond the food, the beers are great. The place is really loud though, and conversation is difficult. The service, in my opinion, leaves a lot to be desired. The first 3 times we got the same waitress. Curly headed girl who looked like an aerobics instructor from 1980something. She was terrible. Twice she failed to enter my sons grilled cheese. Twice we were given it for free, because "the kitchen is slow". I'm no chef, but I think grilled cheese is quicker than just about anything else. I'd have preferred being told the truth..." The fries, and the beer are the only reason I'd ever come back to this place.

Good food and good drink specials make stacked pickle great as a regular hang out. The service is personable and will remember your regular, but the the acoustics prove to turn any attempt at conversation into a shouting match. Update: Looks like the put some foam on the ceiling, the acoustics are better now. Still a little noisy, but much improved. Staff has changed quite a bit and seems a little more professional. Bathrooms could be check on a little more often though.

The Stacked Pickle is a regular hangout whenever I'm in Carmel. They have a good selection of beers on tap, including Guiness, Fat Tire and Magic Hat. The deep fried pickles are a must try. They're crunchy and are served with a ranch dressing. The ribs are decent and the fish tacos and pull pork sandwiches are also pretty good. The outside patio is nice and even out here the service is quick and efficient. I'm definately a fan and will be back here soon.

I just went there for dinner with my fiancé....the food was okay (fries & margaritas were great!). Unfortunately the place was really noisy so we couldn't have a conversation at a reasonable volume. The staff was nice overall, but generally seemed disinterested.

After reading the other reviews, I have to wonder if these people ate at the same place I did??? My friends and I have visited the stacked pickle on many occasions for drinks, but a couple of weeks ago we decided to try their *lunch* menu. I used the word "lunch" vaguely here because my personal description of lunch is obviously no the same as the Stacked Pickle owners. Their menu was that of a typical Bar/Pub restaurant, just a whole lot worse. As per usual, all of the descriptions sounded edible, but when the food arrived, it was not even close. They had very few menu selections not consisting of something fried or ordered from GFS. You could just tell there were huge buckets of GFS food sitting in the back waiting to be scooped out, put on a plate and served as a $10 menu item. All of the food had that pre-made, plastic bucket taste. My husband ordered a chicken wrap with jalapenos and I had the tuna melt. I was extremely disappointed my side choices were fries, fries or chips. I begged and begged for veggies and finally the waiter said "I will see what I can do." Because of his lack of confidence, I decided to order a side salad to get my veggie fix. OK he was right....I should have just stayed with the fried stuff. My $3 side salad consisted of Grade F iceberg lettuce with maybe 2 carrots. Once the food was brought out, our entire table of friends just looked at each other before starting to eat. This IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. The waiter set the plates down and the food looked so unappealing, everyone just looked at each other to see if we were all on the same page. My husbands wrap had two extremely bite size pieces of chicken (similar to what you would feed a toddler) and about 45 jalapenos. (I probably don't need to say this but the jalapenos were obviously not fresh.) There were so many, they were falling out as he was eating the wrap. It almost seemed as though the kitchen staff was trying to make up for a lack of taste or ingredients in the wrap with extra jalapenos! lol Needless to say, I would stick to drinks only at this place. And fries if that's your thing!

I was a bit weary of eating here based on all of the mixed reviews. It was OK. My boyfriend and I were in Carmel doing a bit of apartment shopping and we decided to stop in for lunch. We were there at about 11:30 and there were only a few other guests dining inside. We were greeted by a server standing behind the bar and were told to take a seat anywhere. Our waitress greeted us promptly and gave us ample time to choose our entrees. I decided to go with the honey bbq chicken wrap and my BF decided to go with the smoked sausage. The food was OK. Definitely not the best wrap I have ever had. The honey bbg sauce was delicious but the rest of the ingredients weren't anything to write home about. The french fries are described as "beer-battered" and they were very crispy and had a lot of flavor. I had a bite of my BF's smoked sausage and I thought it had a weird flavor to it but he said he liked it. Overall, I am not sure I would dine here again. I would most likely walk next door to When Eddie Met Salad and get one of their delicious wraps. Employees were friendly, service was prompt, the restaurant appeared clean but the food was nothing to rave about. *UPDATE* My boyfriend and I decided to try this place again, but this time for dinner. We both got burgers and loved them. I got fries and Dan got onion rings. They messed up the order and brought fries for him instead but as soon as he pointed it out, our waitress was on it and fixed the problem right away. The atmosphere was a bit livelier during the dinner hours and they had a full house. Service was great! They earned themselves and extra star! I think we will keep this place on our list but just for dinner.

A new drinking buddy of mine suggested this location, since I'm new to the Indianapolis area. The establishment is located in Carmel, which is, I gather, a bit of a high-class neighborhood. My drinking buddy was hoping to meet some women, or possibly he had already arranged to meet a woman there, I never really got the story. In any event, I found the place and we met up at the bar. First impression: high-end sports bar. The bartender, Kelsey, was helpful and friendly (and naturally, easy on the eyes). She explained the drink specials, and I opted for the 32oz of domestic draft beer for some low price. I eventually switched over to Stella, but figured I'd do the drink special thing. From the bar, I had an excellent view of several televisions and various games. The actual physical location of the establishment is a bit weird, from my perspective. First of all, it almost feels like you are driving to an office park; it is off the main road, and sort of down this side street, which sits across from a shopping plaza anchored by a Meijer's grocery store and containing a gas station, a Panda Express, etc. It also sits below what look like fairly nice condo / townhome apartments. So, I'm sure it's a great spot for those that live above it, but I'm not sure if I would drive there every weekend. I was told by the locals that the Carmel police are particularly picky, so that also deters me from going there specifically to drink, even if I'm only having one or two. Overall, it was fine. The crowd seemed like a young, professional crowd. The drinks were fine, and the service was excellent. I did not eat while I was there, so I cannot comment on the food, but from what I'm reading on Yelp.com , I don't think I want to. I'll post an update, if I go back.

Like the Brockway, the Stacked Pickle is above average given the location & limited amount of bars. Generally like the food (great salads & burgers, though there are a couple items on the menu I hate (fish tacos). Surprisingly the fish & chips were better than the Brockway, though both are very good. Have mostly drink beer here, but the few times I've ordered otherwise, the drinks have been average. Laid back atmosphere with a pretty diverse crowd. Tons of TVs for the game. Took one star away because there is a dining area that allows minors, but it's not too bad. If you come in the side door, there is restaurant seating to the right and left (band will also set up on the left if there is one). The bar is "U" shaped and on the restaurant side there chest high divider. Keep walking past the bar to get the to "bar" side. All high tables and bar stools on this side. If does get loud, but it's a bar..and the atmosphere is pretty good. HUGE BENEFIT....no smoking in this bar. As with the Brockway, the Pickle is close to home for me, but if you're not, watch out for the Carmel cops. Worth making this a regular stop if you live close or, if you don't, worth the drive to stop by here & the Brockway.

Nothing special about this place at all. Typical bar food. Nothing worth coming back for really. Their fried pickles weren't even that good.

Pleasantly surprised as the Stacked Pickle in Zionsville/W. Carmel isn't that great My husband and I were very pleased with our meal at this restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere (despite the TVs), friendly staff, and great food. We both ordered fish and chips, and both agreed that they were the best we've had in a very long time! We'll definitely order that again next time we go.

A girlfriend and I went here for lunch. We both had the tenderloin, it was very good. Not your typical beaten to heck and over breaded tenderloin. Nice hearty piece of pork and what seemed like a tempura like batter. SCRUM! The staff that was working that day were a little off. Yelling to one another from across the restaurant, taking a few smoke breaks while waiting on us. Is it me or does anyone else just totally grossed out when someone brings your food to the table and they reek of smoke? All in all just a little rough around the edges. The bar area was a nice set up and the general atmosphere of Stacked Pickle was warm and inviting.

Well, I was looking forward to this place....It was OK. Service was pretty good. Food was out quick enough but the waiter was quite odd. Guess you cant hold that against the place. I order the fried pickles for an appteizer. They were good although the sauce that came along with them (ranch like dipping sauce) was bland as all get out. I ordered the fish and chips for lunch. Not so good. I would have to respectfully disagree with the other couple reviews that raved on them. The breading was heavy and had this odd lemony flavor to it. I ended up removing the fish from the breading the best I could. I really am not a picky eater. It just tasted off. My dining companion enjoyed her black and blue burger. It was cooked just as she requested. I would go back to give this place a try. Wasnt terrible, just didnt wow me.

not cool. they said they called a taxi and then it never came. one hour later, they said it came but then told it nobody ordered it. the waitress said the manager would come take care of us but he never showed up.

Ordered a burger and a salad for delivery. They did something I've never seen done before and should never be done. They put my burger in the same box as my salad. Therefore, my salad was covered in hamburger grease. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I have gone here a few times b/c it is a central location between myself and friends. I went tonight and was pleasantly surprised that they had Sailor Jerry's on special with drink choices for only $3.50. They have some of the best french fries I have ever had. They don't have a whole lot of veterinarian choices which kind of bothers me. Overall, it is an okay place ... don't hate it but not on my "OH LETS GO THERE" list ...

We had excellent service on Saturday evening, the waitress was very attentive. Although the food only took about 10 total minutes to arrive at our table after ordering (excellent), I'm not entirely sure if that is a good or bad sign. However, the food was delicious! I enjoyed their homemade veggie burger with fries. The edges of the patty seemed a little burnt but I actually preferred it because the sandwich wasn't falling out all over my plate and making a mess. The fries were pretty standard, but they were perfectly crisp. My friend had the "Skinny" sandwich, which was some kind of turkey situation with an avocado-mayo. We also had Dreamsicles, which was one of the Saturday drink specials. Deeeelicious. Like the description said, it tasted like it was right out of Grandma's freezer! Prices are decent. My sandwich and two drinks was a mere $15. Food is pretty typical of a bar, but they have a decent selection.

This is a great place to catch the game or just have a cold one. The services is usually good, the food is usually good, and always enjoyable. In addition to what's been recommended already, I'd recommend the wings and their pizzas. Both are delicious. Overall would say an affordable and good place to eat out and have a beer. (Also check out their specials).

I love this place. The BBQ Burger and beer-battered fries are amazing. You MUST try it! The food prices are very reasonable and they have some really awesome daily specials. For those visiting the Indianapolis/Carmel area, go here!

Stacked Pickle is indeed a bar atmosphere. There is seating in the main dining area, filled with a range of ages. When I went in there I sat at the bar and noticed that a few of the waitresses were dressed provocatively. It would be okay if it just served 21 yrs old and up, but they were waiting on kids while showing A LOT of cleavage and skin. It is very unprofessional to be showing that in that type of setting. It made me even uncomfortable, and they weren't waiting on me. I have been there a few times and have tried a few different food items. Whatever you do, do not get anything with chicken there. Their chicken does not taste fresh or like it is good quality. There is a taste about it that is cheap. They definitely have good burgers and their tenderloin is excellent. There should be other side items available besides fries and chips. I do not like chips, but their fries are really good. It would be nice to switch it up every once and a while with a different side besides fries. They should consider a loaded potato salad, fruit, side salad, and some type of veggies. I have been there a lot and sit at the bar every time, and none of the bartenders (that wait on us all the time) have asked what our names are. I would consider us regulars that come in quite often (I work at a restaurant so I know what the definition of a regular is). They usually have good drink specials. And food is reasonably priced. The only other thing is that it is EXTREMELY loud in the restaurant. It is hard to carry on a conversation, even with a person sitting right next to you. Everyone else is yelling also, so all you hear is other people's conversations. Do not go in there to just talk, you will not be able to hear much.

Great specials, great newer clean bar! Wings were good and $3 off any order on weds nights. Service was great. French fries were supposedly beer battered. They were delicious but tasted like hot burger king fries.

Well tried this place again.I wanted to eat outside as I thought this would take care of the noise issue. There was a 25 minute wait for outside so, ok inside we go.We order two beers and a coke. Coke comes out and waitress says" the bar is busy.It will be awhile before your drinks arrive"Drinks finally arrive and we order. Order arrives and its not correct. It was fixed but, between the bad service and the echoes of all the conversations in the dining area,I am done with this place.

Okay I can see the people that eat here don't know good food. You could make better at home! I went April 1,2011 @ 5:30 pm and had a beer which you can't mess up and a FU FU salad. Big deal. I think O Charley"s has better food...they serve salmon! and much better salads.

Mm, I avoid Stacked Pickle when I can... I usually go for drinks, which isn't the best bar for it. I've consistently had servers and bartenders look at me doe-eyed when I've asked if they have a fairly standard cocktail or spirit (think, Buffalo Trace bourbon). One bartender even asked me what single malt scotch was. All of this is fine enough, because I don't expect anything more from this establishment. I have left before after waiting on the patio for well over ten minutes without ever seeing my server (or maybe I did, they just simply didn't acknowledge me). I have had to wait on service and go to the bar to get my drinks when I've been sitting at a table (that managed to get the server's attention). I have also had a bartender make my friend and myself a shot, then a third for herself, and put the shot on my bill. I asked her if it was a mistake and she told me that most guys like buying her shots. I had to inform her that no, honey, wrong team, and that she had just drank her tip. Overall, just avoid the place. There are so many chain bars in Carmel you can go to and Brockway House is right next door (much better pub). I'm really not sure why I've given this place even two stars.

This is a wonderful place. Always a good lunch spot for me. Great beer specials as well. This is very reasonably priced. For almost 2 years of coming here there is always a coupon of sorts somewhere to help one save a few bucks. The servers are typically female and very easy on the eyes. This would have got a full 5 stars if they served American cheese on their burgers. PLEASE OFFER AMERICAN CHEESE ON YOUR BURGERS.

This place is fun and inviting with terrific bands , & family can be comfortable while the other side has the adult Bar. the only drawback is space for accommodating the customer business !

Atmosphere. ..just way to loud....I had to shout to the person seated across from me. Their acoustics are terrible. Food....standard run of the mull bar type food...jotting exciting about to write home to mom about. Their due fried pickles personally were no thrill....better tasting at a Hooters. I drank ice tea and will say our waitress kept me filled ice tea. So just average place to eat....

Shared a meal with friends to watch the Colts game on Sunday. We all enjoyed the fried pickles and beer-battered fries alongside our respective entrees. I can't speak for anyone else, but I enjoyed my "Hot Ranch Burger." It was perfectly cooked atop a Kaiser bun. The ranch didn't taste "house-made," but nothing I'm going to fret over. I also appreciated the drink specials which included Miller Light, Coors Light, Pinnacle Vodka, Stoli Vodka, and Bloody Marys.

My first experience here was definitely a huge disappointment. Stopped in briefly with my buddy to enjoy a few drinks while we waiting on a ride to go to a haunted house in Anderson. We sat at the bar, and we each ordered a beer and a vegas bomb. The bartender was busy, and seemed annoyed to serve us. We downed our bombs, and sipped our beers until our ride arrived. We discussed how stiff, and delicious the bombs were. We were rudely interrupted by the bartender who asked us, "Are you complaining?". I assured her it was quite the contrary, they were pretty good bombs! Upon arrival of our ride, I asked the bartender for our checks. She asked me, "One or two checks?", only I didn't hear her. So I asked her, "Come again?" to which she responded, yelling at me, "ONE OR TWO CHECKS!?" I quickly told her one check, and turned to my buddy to see if I was crazy or if this lady really was that big of a bitch. So, she split our checks and I paid with a $100 bill, leaving her 50 cents. If you ask me, I shouldn't be so generous to such a miserable woman. On my second visit(believe me, I didn't want to go) my girlfriend and I took my father out to dinner. We were greeted promptly and sat in a booth in the corner. Our server was a nice young woman, she did a good job. I ordered the steak sandwich cooked medium, and it came out well done. I didn't complain because I didn't expect it to be fixed had I of asked them to remake it. The sandwich consisted of two tiny sirloins, so I understand why it might be a bit difficult to hit a solid medium. But to send it out well done is insulting, and shows lack of experience. I know first hand that in a kitchen you primarily learn from negative feedback, so it is important. However, I simply didn't care enough to help. All in all, if the steak was cooked properly it wouldn't have been a bad sandwich. It had a nice horseradish sauce. Far from impressive, but you get what you pay for. I may return at some point for drinks, and god willing there will be a different bartender. I doubt I'll ever order food again. I knew better than to do it the first time.

Service was okay, not great. Below average bar food, but not terrible. Not for the health conscious. Whatever you order will stick to your ribs. Beer selection was okay. Way more booze than most sports bars.

A place where u can good food and beer at 12 AM on a weekday in the sleepy town of Carmel?! Omg! I'm so happy I found this place. Their hot wings were so good and the fries that came with the burger were crispy good!

Positives: The food to order here is either the chicken tenders or the bbq chicken pizza. Very affordable, and a great place to watch a game with friends. Our son really likes the fried pickles, and my husband likes the tenderloin sandwiches. They are thicker and juicier than most "Indiana" tenderloins. I Love their chicken tenders with bbq and honey mustard dipping sauces. This comes as an appetizer (with a side of beer battered fries), but trust me, I can never eat it all. Negatives: The staff service is very hit and miss. On the weekends, it is a VERY loud place, so if you don't mind that, then it isn't a problem.

ALERT!! This is a child friendly environment! Not that there's anything wrong with that! Just making you aware of the fact. I went there with my godson and his family, so y'know, that's cool with me. Maybe just come later if you don't want to hang with a lot of kiddies. If you do go, definitely get the fried pickles! Yum!! That's fried pickles, people! You may also choose either spears or slices! They have a decent selection of draft beers, about 14-16 taps. Local and national micro brews. Not the biggest selection I have ever seen, but large enough to allow for a few local brews, which I like. I had the Black and Bleu burger, basically because I love bleu cheese and bacon. They have good bacon. The burger gets about 3.75 stars out of 5. Probably a solid 4 in Indianapolis, but this is Carmel, home of Bub's Burgers, so it is graded harder. Decent fries too. The table also had the sampler platter which featured wings (pretty decent), fried pickles (again, Yum!) onion rings (meh.) and Fried Mac n Cheese bites (sinfully yummy). All in all, check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

One man's local watering hole is not necessarily mine. To each his own. Not my cup if tea? However, I did enjoy myself. Great place to catch almost any game. The general manager is a great fun loving guy! Super hospitable! The live music is great specifically the Bishops. A place to have a good visit with friends? Probably not...typically very loud. But great place to enjoy the game or the music. Typical sports bar? Yes. Ill continue to search out a good place to unwind and visit with an old friend! Service? Meh-good for a sports bar.

I really enjoyed the place! They made room for our large crowd and service was good. I have to admit though the bar-b-que sandwich was not as good as the one I had in Fishers; the sauce was very different. I won't hate on them for it but the food was not as good as the other lacation which is suprising to me. However I have had some no-so-decent food there as I referred to in my previous review. I will def go again!

OK place to have a beer and watch a game provided you sit in the bar area. The food is typical bar food and is average at best. Little effort seems to be put into producing any dishes that are different or better than any other bar or pub.

Food is good. Service is terrible!! I am literally sitting here waitin forever for food and drinks while my waitress tacks with another waitress! The manager is sitting in the corner playing on his phone!!! I hate that the food is decent but service is so terrible!!!!

Kept calling it the crusty pickle but thats not really what it is. They got good food and a dozen or so beers on tap. I want to really like the place but.......its loud as Giants game during the world series. Terrible acoustics in there. Couldnt hear myself think straight. Service is absolutely impeccable though. Kudos to the waiters and waitresses there. They are super attentive. I recommend the place if its got fewer people in or perhaps go outside if weather permits.

First time at Stacked Pickle. Gotta say not impressed. We ordered cheese curd. They were actually really good. Our entrees were Chicken Club Wrap and Chicken Melt both with fries. Chicken Club had more lettuce then anything else. Basic, nothing unique. Chicken melt was ok again uninspired and had tomato on it. We had asked for no tomato. Frys were beer battered. Beer batter absolutely ruins everything you use it on. Had I known I would have got another side. Keeping drinks filled. A big big deal to me. Our server was sitting at a table with three other servers rolling silverware while our drinks sat empty. Had the host not noticed the stack of dirty dishes on the table we would still be sitting with empty coke. I asked her for a refill and soon after our server brought them. Really see no reason to return.

A group of coworkers and I went to Stacked Pickle for lunch on a weekday. It was mostly full, but we had a nice table separated from the fray by the door. College basketball games were on, and we had three tvs within viewing range. I found the table service to be fine, wasn't bad at all. I had a Cuban sandwich. The flavor and the pulled pork were very good, hot and fresh. As others have stated, the French fries are awesome - are they lightly beer battered? The serving size of my sandwich and my fries were a little bit smaller than I would have liked for the money, but I guess that helps with portion control. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and chat with friends. Not a place to go to on a date.

So me and my family stopped in here after another place was extremely busy, so we decided to try it out. Even better there was a special for $5 pitchers and burgers! Amazing I thought. The food was decent and the bartender was great. She been kept giving me a new frosted mug. Kudos to young lady. And if anyone reads this she was the bartender on Labor Day evening around 7pm. Thank you for Doing a great job and working the holiday. Our experience was almost perfect until me and my uncle called out an apparent Trivia answer??? Our mistake. The Dj moved on, then out of nowhere some sloppy drunk dude with flip flops cargo shorts and a tight tee and a BAD COMBOVER comes behind the bar and starts yelling at my party. He was berating us and talking to us like we were two. So we got up and left. Who knows who this crazy guy is? Well come to find out his name is JEFF AND HES THE GM. Well Jeff the gm, I'll tell you that you really screwed the pooch on This one. It was my first experience with you guys and it will be the last. Especially if they all have clowns like you running them. I really hope someone from corporate reads these.

We frequent this bar for cold drinks and good bar food! The service is always great. Servers are entertaining and attentive. The fried mac and cheese is my favorite appetizer! I highly recommend trying it! I am a huge fan of buffalo chicken sandwiches.. Great place to visit if you feel like falling off the healthy eating wagon. The Pickle has a lot of TVs. There is not a bad seat in the house. You can usually find us at this bar when the Butler Bulldogs are playing! I recommend everyone try this little dive bar!

This place is gem... Upscale yet not fussy. I'm particular about french fries; these french fries are superior to most. They serve Tin Man Beer here too which is something you have to try.

Mmmmm fish n' chips. I have some obsession with that meal right now, I think it's because of all the Gordon Ramsey I've been watching lately... thanks Netflix. Regardless, the fish n' chips at midnight were the best part of the night. To me they were super scrumptious but I am sure I will need to try again... in the daylight... if you catch my drift... I know it was late but our server was a little off and the service was slow considering there was no one else in there really. We've been in the summer and sat on the patio which is an enjoyable experience. The sampler appetizer has a nice mix of all the offerings. But for the price, nothing is really that exceptional, just convenient. And we live close by so we keep coming back.

First time visiting this location with others. Parked in the back lot. There is a side entrance to this corner business. It was really loud inside with lots of TV and young people. I had a buy one get one meal 50% off coupon. So I got the steak sandwich (strip steak topped with fried onion straws on a hoagie roll - hold your A1-horseradish sauce) with the fried pickles and a spear pickle. This time I had the best fried pickles. Sandwich was good but the hoagie roll could have been a different type of bread. I took home for the next day's lunch a Hawaiian chicken sandwich (chicken breast basted with teriyaki sauce then topped with a grilled pineapple and Swiss cheese) with more fried pickles. It was not as good as I had hoped probably because it was not fresh and I had to microwave the sandwich. The breading of the pickles were soggy. So I'm a fan because of the stacked pickles, which goes with the business name. Yeah!

I visit two Stacked Pickle locations regularly - this one is by far my favorite. The servers and managers are all super friendly and very visible. I come here with co-workers or my kids, and either way, we're all usually quite happy. Good drink specials, good food, and large portions. It gets busy on game nights, so if you want to watch the Colts with a crowd, this is your place.

Great sangria pitcher. We get the shrimp pasta & it's always incredible! They have outside seating in the summer so we really enjoy that if we are not in the mood for a louder atmosphere.

Update. I went for the beer special. Had the tenderloin, and my friends had the burgers. Five thumbs up for the burgers... at least from my viewpoint. Manager came over and asked how were things and told us about the $5 burger special on Monday. Okay I am coming back. So we have moved up "The Pickle" from a three to a four. Value 4 Service 4 Atmosphere 3 Food 4 Funny thing is I like the Brockway Pub next door, but the Pickle is stealing the business bc of the food. Hmmm odd.

Met a couple friends who were in town for dinner tonight... we had settled on Stacked Pickle earlier. I moved to Carmel from Chicago about six monhs ago and this place had always been on my must-try list. There's a regular dining area in addition to the bar... my friends and I ended up siting at a table in the bar area. Plenty of TVs around.... I wouldn't mind spending a Saturday or Sunday afternoon here watching football. Ambience was typical sports bar noisy even for 8:00 on a Sunday evening. Service was attentive and prompt. Food was OK.... I myself had the club sandwich and a cup of potato soup which was disappointingly watery. The menu is pretty extensive and features the full range of sports bar food -- wings, burgers, pizza, about dozen different types of sandwiches and wraps, and even tacos. I'm glad that I finally got around to eating at Stacked Pickle and based on the experience tonight, I'll definitely be back.

A coworker flew in from out of town, and we had two meetings in Carmel so we decided to stop at the Stacked Pickle after a recommendation from a teller at a local bank..... Hmm, the teller should definitely keep his day job and not become a food critic.... I ordered the fish tacos, they were served with a mango sauce. I honestly didn't taste the mango sauce until I bit into the second taco (after eating only half of the first one - I figured the next one has to taste better). It was okay - nothing to sing home about. She ordered the fajitas and liked the fact they came with shredded chicken. We had the spinach dip for the appetizer and it was good. The presentation was even better!! In reading the other reviews, I wondered if our food would have tasted better if we had a drink from their vast selection of beer! Our server was polite and professional. Not worth stopping again, but it was fun to enjoy the weather with the outdoor seating.

Yes, this is standard sports bar food, so why do I keep going back? It's more than the tasty fried pickles... it's the crowd and the casual atmosphere. The manager and staff at the Stacked Pickle (Fishers location, too, so pardon much of the repeat) are always nice and never make me feel like "The Worst Parent on the Planet" because I've brought my kids into a sports bar for their favorite chicken tenders. The Carmel location is very clean and a there's a variety of sports on the many tvs. We like the Burgers and Wings plus our choosy kids love the Chicken Tenders. The fries are just fine and so are the Fish & Chips. Don't despair if you dog these fried favorites: there are just over 10 salads on the menu. We haven't tried the ribs or the two pasta dishes but other tables order them every time we visit. The Firecracker Shrimp is ok, too. Now, we've had "better" burgers, etc. elsewhere, yes. But if we drag the family here or meet up with friends, we know that everyone can order what's expected and none of it will be "bad." Nothing will be undercooked, burnt, overpeppered, or (godforbid) stretch any palates. And, sometimes, that's just what we're looking for.

I feel very good when I sat there and enjoyed a cup of wine, and chatted with friends together. Good locator, close to my place, and close to meijer. I would like to go more if possible. I had fish taco there, very good.

Waited over ten minutes on the patio (i did go inside first to let them know i was outside) and didn't get acknowledged once by the staff...got up and walked down to The Brockway. Had a beer in under two minutes. Bad service Pickle....

Drink specials are good thus the 3. So is atmosphere. The food, however, is very marginal. Very. Wings are ok.

Gotta agree with the folks who said the Stacked Pickle is (A) loud and (B) in need of better service. My friend and I were sitting across from each other and we had to yell in order to be heard. Things quieted down after a while, but holy cow. Our waitress was nice, but obviously frazzled. She had to come back after 10 minutes to have me remind her of my drink order (the house Pinot Grigio, on special Thursdays for $3.05) and then forgot my wine twice. I think she may have been the afore-mentioned aerobics instructor lookalike. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, and I almost went with the fish tacos, but changed my mind at the last minute and decided to satisfy my wing craving. I ordered the Medium wings and they were pretty decent - not too greasy , but could have used a little more sauce. My bill ended up being right around $11 - not too bad. This seems like a fun place to go after work - there were a bunch of junior executives enjoying a rowdy game of Cornhole on the patio when I arrived.

THE best fish tacos I have ever had. I would go there just for that. Inexpensive, good/filling food and decent bar.

  • Dave C.

This was our first time here. It was a nice evening so we sat outside which was nice. The noise from the cars going buy was a bit loud but still enjoyable. The food is typical bar food. I had the Pork Tenderloin and was a bit disappointed. My wife had the Cuban and really liked it. Each of our girls had Chicken tenders and liked them. The fries were also very good. I'd go back again but wouldn't get the Tenderloin. Probably should have gone with my first instinct which was the fish and chips. Oh well.

  • Denise L.

I came here expecting too much & was quickly disappointed. I called in a carryout order of fried pickles. I was told 5-10 minutes which was no problem. I left probably about 10 minutes after I called. FIRST PROBLEM I went at lunch time & I lost track of the number of times I had to circle to find a parking spot. Finally I made my own by closing the door to the dumpster. When I got inside I had to wait for my order which is so odd because I called it in *sarcasm*. So I get the food after waiting another 5-10 minutes, & it was hot, however it was greasy & the fried part coating was not sticking to the pickle. All in all it was a waste of my money, time & fried pickle craving.

Pretty good food and I love their coastal vines wines. Staff is really friendly and usually asks you your name and tells your theirs. Mondays are $5 burger nights and the burgers are pretty tasty. I had the Hot Ranch burger and really enjoyed it. Wine pours are generous ;)

    (2)
  • Ryan E.

I just went there for dinner with my fiancé....the food was okay (fries & margaritas were great!). Unfortunately the place was really noisy so we couldn't have a conversation at a reasonable volume. The staff was nice overall, but generally seemed disinterested.

Rambunctious sports bar but as good as the fries are today (with Caesar dressing for dip), the hamburger is sooooooo salty.

    (3)
  • Raquel R.

    (3)
  • Jackie T.

  • Chris C.

  • Andrew C.

And fries if that's your thing!

not cool. they said they called a taxi and then it never came. one hour later, they said it came but then told it nobody ordered it. the waitress said the manager would come take care of us but he never showed up.

Rambunctious sports bar but as good as the fries are today (with Caesar dressing for dip), the hamburger is sooooooo salty.

Waited over ten minutes on the patio (i did go inside first to let them know i was outside) and didn't get acknowledged once by the staff...got up and walked down to The Brockway. Had a beer in under two minutes. Bad service Pickle....

Hmmm odd.

I feel very good when I sat there and enjoyed a cup of wine, and chatted with friends together. Good locator, close to my place, and close to meijer. I would like to go more if possible. I had fish taco there, very good.

Oh well.
