They put a creative spin on their pizza without it seeming contrived. The flavors and quality have been consistent each time I have eaten there. It is one of very few pizza places I look forward to going back to.

Pizza here is outstanding. Love the toppings choice and their willingness to work with my son's milk allergy. Like everyone else reviewing this place, the service can be bad at times. Not sure why but the women who work here are bad. The guys who have taken care of us in the past have always been much better. I will go every time my kids ask though because their pizza is great and spinach salad is outstanding.

This Bazbeaux location was really a disappointment. The downtown location, which I have been to maybe 6 times is one of my favorite. When we were staying north of the city and I realized there was another Bazbeaux, I had to try it. However, I found the garden pizza was absolutely horrible. Loaded with ricotta, it was hard to taste much of anything else. Titled as Garden pizza, i kind of expected the veggies to be the star. I tried one piece and could not eat any more. I had to order a different pizza. The waitress was very nice about it and brought out the second pizza reasonably fast knowing we had already been waiting a while. My boyfriend did not mind the garden pizza, but it was his first time at Bazbeaux and isn't as finicky as I probably am. Was very glad to have gotten there early and have no wait, but as we were there it got busier and noisier! Very noisy to the point of distraction. Also, lots of children running around. Thankfully, I'm usually downtown and will continue going to that location only.

I am always happy to eat here no matter the location. The pizza is delicious, the beer choice is great, and the service has always been good for us. This last experience I had in Carmel was one of the best I've had.

The service was almost comically impeccable. The pizza was ok. We got the bazbeaux special and something that started with a C that we all called nacho pizza. The sauce was good but the pizza had too much cheese. Their homemade salad dressings were great too. The water was icky though.

vs. the local competition, this is a winner. Has whole wheat crust as well!

The Carmel Bazbeaux doesn't quite have the edge of the dt location but the food is just as good. Love the hot cheese baguette sandwich and the Popeye. You can't go wrong with any of the pizzas, truly. I hated moving out of dt and having Bazbeaux nearby makes it a little better.

We went across the street to Bazbeaux's after finding that the wait at Bubs was going to be too long to allow us to make our movie. Had a terrific quattro formaggio pizza here with a couple of added toppings. It was quite tasty - the creamy ricotta cheese detracted from it a bit, but others might like this. It was just an odd texture for pizza. Service was quick and fairly attentive.

Good pizza! I had the chicken feta pizza and was very good. The crust was light but still a bit chewy. Good patio.

Bazbeaux is my favorite pizza, and Carmel is my favorite location. They pay attention to the smallest details, and the result is a great pizza and a great dining experience. My favorite pizza is the bot - bacon, onion, tomato, and basil. It might not sound exciting, but the combination of flavors is perfect. They're not skimpy on the toppings, but at the same time they don't overdo it. With a pizza like the b.o.t., too many toppings would ruin it easier than too few. The crust is thin, without being cracker-like. Their specialty pizzas are well thought out, and you wouldnt go wrong ordering any of them, but if you want to choose your own toppings they have every topping you could possibly want. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. I like to eat outside, but I am happy to eat indoors when it's full or the weather is too bad. If you want great pizza, go to Indianapolis' original independent pizza place. Oh yeah, they also deliver, and they have the best lunch deal in town.

Had a slice of the Bazbeaux Special and a side salad for lunch. Neither were memorable. The crust was stale and the pizza sauce was bland.

Pizzology is my favorite pizza place in Indy, by far, but last night they dissed us. We drove all the way up to 130st Street to feed our Pizzology craving, only to find a sign on the door saying they were closed for a staff appreciation night. Feeling slightly disgruntled, we headed over to Bazbeaux and found that Bazbeaux on Main Street has something that Pizzology doesn't: an outdoor patio overlooking the Monon Trail which is a lovely place to eat on a summer evening. The pizza is decent, although a little too salty, and the service can be harried, but it does the job.

If it weren't for Bazbeaux Pizza, my parents would probably lose 50% of their social life. In my opinion, this was one of the best things to ever happen to downtown Carmel. Bazbeaux offers awesome food and outdoor seating which is so nice when wanting a night downtown Carmel. I wish there were more places that allowed you to eat and enjoy the city in a non-uppity way. The pizza is good every time and the Greek salad is phenominal. Brings a small-town feel to such a big suburb.

Five of us went to Bazbeaux for Dinner.Very busy on a Thursday night. Ordered two of the large pizzas {16 inch Pizza Ala Quattro formaggio and the Greek. }which was perfect for five. Good variety of pizzas. Ordered the large house salad ..menu said all large salads served four...would say best described as serves three. Another in the party ordered the Nocise Salad which was larger than house, and he said was very good. The Basil cream dressing was excellent. Had a second server come up to us after seated 15 minutes and had already ordered drinks...and she said she was to take our drink order. She implied there was confusion over who was to serve who.Very good beer selection. Spent around $100 for 5.

Nice atmosphere, but a little loud. Tried a standard pepperoni and mushroom pizza that was decent, but not outstanding. I hear the specialty pizzas are better, so I need to give it another try.

I'll be back! The pizza is good, save your money on the award winning garlic bread ( I've never met a carb I didn't like and I'm saying this), order a carafe of wine, sit on the patio and let your troubles disappear as you people watch on the Monon.

Bazbeaux has delicious food, but the service was lacking a little. My table seldom saw our waitress, and it took her over a half hour to get us our drinks and take our orders. The bathrooms while clean were poorly stocked, no paper towels, and bath tissue just left everywhere. And first come first serve obviously doesn't apply here, since a table that came 20 minutes after us got their pizza first. The food was a huge saving grace, delicious pizza! I recommend the formaggio and mozzarella plate. In the end, I would come again, but only if I have the allotted time. Again good food, but very slow service.

When I'm in the mood for pizza, I won't go to Bazbeaux -- this pizza is good, but it's not pizza-pizza, if you know what I mean. The pizza we got was really crunchy, almost like a matzoh cracker with pizza toppings on it. It was a mighty tasty matzoh cracker, to be sure, but a matzoh nonetheless.

  • Gina M.

Waiting for 1:10 minutes for our pizza order after it was apparently forgotten was not a good showing on our first visit to this location. I might be more forgiving if they were busy, but they weren't. We won't be back.

Exactly the kind of high-qualoty pizza place you're looking for. My friends and I got the Greek pizza and it was absolutely loaded with toppings. The atmosphere is appropriately loud and can also be a bit more fancy if you visit in the evening for dinner. No complaints, and they actually had Kalamata olives instead of the tasteless old California black ones.

The outdoor patio is a great place to eat! The garlic bread and just the plain cheese pizza are excellent!!!

On my first day in Carmel/Indianapolis, I asked some locals, "Which restaurant is my gateway to restaurants in Indy," and I get a resounding chorus of recommendations for Bazbeaux Pizza. I followed these recommendations with extremely high hopes, but ultimately, it didn't live up to the hype. The crust was dry, the service was slow, the toppings were average, and I left Bazbeaux feeling deflated and unfulfilled. Fortunately, not all hope was lost and I didn't give up on the most hyped pizza in Indy. For the last three years, I have tried Bazbeaux on different occasions and I have been trying to author a review that encompasses all of my feeling towards this cornerstone of Indy Cuisine. If you've made it through my exposition, congrats, here's my review: The bottom line is Bazbeaux has decent pizza. Is it the best pizza in Indy? That's debatable. The crust has a tendency to be way too crispy and flavorless, but I have also had a good and tender crust there. The worst sin there is inconsistency. The toppings are good quality and the specialty pizzas are creatively tasty. Is it worth the hype? Probably not, but people do love the place. Ultimately, Is it worth a trip to some of the busiest streets in the city? Absolutely. The service might be slow if you catch them on a bad night, but its always worth it to go patronize a local business. Please just heed my warning, and leave your expectations at the door. If it doesn't live up to them, you won't require three years to figure out how to describe the place.

Four stars for the food, two stars for the management: average three stars. We love 1. the house salad with vinaigrette or creamy basil dressing (a bit too much shaved parmesan for me but that's personal taste. ) 2. their pizza crust, thin and crispy but not too much, 3. several of their pizzas.. We dislike (and this goes for their downtown location as well) 1. Almost no staff smiles at you. Is it that painful to work here? 2. Perfunctory delivery of the food. There's a general feeling that the staff isn't pleased to see you here. Now, having torn them up let me say there are exceptions. We had a very nice waiter tonight. I think that was a hiring error. We've seen this for years at different locations which leads me to place the blame squarely at the door of the owners. Guess we'll stay away until our memories fade again. ..

The high ratings on this place and positive reviews I was reading definitely set the expectations high. Then add in the fact that its in Carmel's Art and Design District (which is one of the coolest spots in indy) and I was sold. I called in for carry out (which was supposed to be ready in 20-25 minutes), got there 30 minutes later and walkeand Unfortunately, I left my dinner feeling extremely underwhelmed. I got their collosus pizza and an order of their "award-winning" garlic bread (if its award winning you've got to try it right?). Unfortunately the garlic bread was too soft and spongy and lacking the crispy, buttery, garlicy taste you're looking for in a classic garlic bread.

Pizza was good. Service was good. We had a large group and they handled us without trouble. Nice outside patio right on the Monon trail

Bazbeaux has won me over since moving to Indianapolis. Located along the Monon trail, this pizzeria has branded itself as a true local establishment. The interior is bright and airy along with an outdoor patio that houses more than a dozen four tops so you can take in the sights and sounds of Main St.. The fresh mozzarella plate should be a must order for anyone dining-in. After all, it's not available for take-out. I like to walk or bike to the restaurant, order the mozzarella plate and then take the pizza to go. I know riding a bike with a pizza box is hard to imagine, but I've got it down. Of course, walking is better because then you can order a bottle of wine and not worry about taking anyone out on the trail on the way home. The pizza is on the top of the list with Crust being neck and neck as my number one preference. I think Food Network's Food Wars needs to come to town and pose a challenge to the two top restaurants. But, I'll stop because this review is all about Bazbeaux. A nice blend of crispy and chewy, the crust serves as a delicious base to an array of toppings. Make your own or even ask your server to choose for you. I've done both and they are out of this world good. Service has always been excellent. So why four stars and not five? During the lunch hours Monday-Friday they don't have table service. It's all about ordering at the counter and grab an open spot. It reminded me of Sbarro's. I understand that the preference of the workforce wants a quick and suitable option for lunch, but at least make it an option to have a server. Overall, the best restaurant thus far on Main St.. Consistent and all about quality, Bazbeaux has me going back to an empty pizza box wanting more.

Had been to the downtown Bazbeaux on many occasions but never to the Carmel spot prior to our visit on April 3, 2015. The pizza at Bazbeaux is excellent. High quality ingredients, consistently well prepared; what you get here is akin to Chicago style thin crust (think Rosati's). The pizza here is excellent in all facets. I docked a rating point because the beer situation at this Bazbeaux is lacking relative to the downtown location. 4-5 taps of mediocre local craft was disappointing in comparison to what I'd experienced downtown in the past where they had many more taps and more diverse offerings.

While I've been to Bazbeaux's Pizza in Broad Ripple on several occasions, I've only paid one visit to this Carmel location. The hubs and I strolled in during the evening to an almost empty restaurant, and we were seated immediately while we waited on two friends to merry us. During our wait, my hubs ordered the fresh mozzarella plate, larger size. It arrived about when our friends did, which was shortly after. Or friends and hubs shared it and all liked it. It looked pretty tasty, but I was saving room for my personal quattro formaggio pizza! We each ordered a personal pizza. They arrived within a normal wait time - meaning I felt the wait appropriate for prepping and cooking. No issues there! We all enjoyed our pizzas, but we noticed our server never checked back on us for refills our to see if or food was ok. It's not a total deal-breaker for me, but getting checked on and getting refills are always something that factor into my overall impression on service. My friends were also a little put off. Overall, food was delicious, but the service waned as the dinner went on. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

I am a fan! As long as I can remember, my favorite food has been pizza. Because of this, I am a bit picky when it comes to pizza. I think I would eat just about any pizza, but for a pizza to get a "love it" from me, it has to be good. This one gets a Love It! We ordered a small cheese and a large cajun chicken. They brought us a large cheese and a small cajun chicken. The waitress knew it was a mistake and said to make up for it, she had a large cajun chicken being made for us. That was great! Many leftovers. I had pizza for lunch everyday for a week and at the end, I was sad to see it go. Someone on this post complained about the "cracker crust". This pizza is not thick crusts. The crunchy thin crust gives this pizza a bit of uniqueness. I like it! I wouldn't call it cracker, but I would say it is crispy. The pizza had good flavor and "reheatability!" I'd go here again (and hope they messed up) We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread. It was great. My only complaint is that we ordered this as a quick appetizer to get some food on the table. I expected the pizza to take some time, but thought the appetizer would be quick. It was about 20 minutes for the garlic bread to come out and another 10 for the pizza. I don't know if that is always the case, but you may ask on the appetizer if you want it quick (it was 5:00 on a Saturday - not very busy). I wouldn't let this stop anyone from going here. Just something to keep in mind. Beer - if you are a craft beer fan, they have many to choose from! I marked it as good for kids - I mean pizza? Has to be good for kids. They don't have the standard crayons / things to do for young kids. But, our waitress brought our paper and crayons for them the draw on - very much appreciated. It is lunch time now... I miss my left over pizza!

Delicious pizza. Gluten free options available. Great beer list. Good selection of specialty pizzas, but good old pepperoni is good as well. I got four cheese with mushroom and bacon.

I was soo excited about having bazbeaux pizza bt when I finally had it I was really disappointed!! I had Quattro formaggio which was okay but the crust was kinda dry cracker like..My husband had Bayou chicken pizza and it was not good.. Really bazbeaux pizza s not d best pizza place in Indy! I have no idea what the hype is about... There are so many other pizza places better than this.. I am not going back!!

What more can be said about this place that other reviewers haven't said already. I loved it. We had four different pizzas, the Get Fresh, as an app (a bit sweet, but a bit of parm put it in perfect balance), the B.O.T (a nice, safe, altogether good pie), the Bayou Chicken (great flavors, but seemed to want one more bit of something), and the Mediterranean, which was one of the best pizzas I've eaten...service was great, food exceptional, I highly recommend!

I lived in New Jersey for several years, so to me an excellent pizza is a NY style margherita pizza; unfortunately, such a pizza can't be found in this area of the country. But IMO Bazbeaux has some of the best pizza in the Indy area. I'm especially found of the Bazbeaux Special. Sometimes service can be hit or miss, but when it's good it's an overall great dining experience.

Fantastic pizza. Absolutely horrible service. Bazbeaux Pizza is one of the best (maybe THE best) non-boutique pizza restaurants in the Carmel/northern Indy area. The pizza is consistently high quality, and the thin crust really brings out the flavor of the toppings. HOWEVER, my last three visits to the Carmel location have also been consistent in one other respect: Positively crappy service. I've said this on Yelp before, but I truly believe that restaurants trying to save a few bucks by hiring teenage servers are hurting themselves in the long run. Our server, a male of maybe 18 years, let our drinks run dry several times, and we waited at least 20 minutes after we finished before he came back to bring us the bill. That's a major irritation - when I'm ready to leave, I'm ready to leave. But, once again, the quality of the pizza keeps us coming back. I just wish that the owners, for the love of God, would do something about the service. I'll make a deal with them, right here and now: I'll pay an additional 15% if you promise to require 10 years of serving experience for each new-hire, from this point forward. Who else wants to go in with me?!?!? Are you in? :)

Coming from a pizza skeptic - I can actually eat Bazbeaux. My skepticism comes from having trouble tasting anything covered by vast amounts of greasy cheese. Luckily, this time I could distinctly taste artichokes, olives, spinach and a dollop of ricotta cheese on Garden pizza and follow with a sip of a truly local microbrew. The kids laughed at foot-long strings of cheese when we were separating the slices, but did not care for thin crispy crust, so I got to happily finish the flaky browned edges. That is after I got over the pleasant surprise that pickles, tiny shrimp, prosciutto and kalamata olives go fabulously together on an antipasto salad.

Sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of Main Street and the Monon at this location. As for the food, I am in love with the Mediterranean pizza. With the hot pepper flakes, you have a spicy pizza that is delicious. My friends love "The Luke", which is a combination of buffalo chicken, bleu cheese, celery, and their cheese blend. They also have some good looking salads, but I've never ordered one--mostly because this is a PIZZA place :)

  • Lauren D.

So I ordered the large antipasto salad and a margherita pizza. I had it delivered and was underwhelmed by all of it. I ordered a large salad but a small showed up instead. Ok I will get over that but I added mozzarella and it was shredded out of the bag mozzarella not even fresh slices. The pizza was bland as well again suppose to have fresh mozzarella but seemed like just shredded cheese out of a bag. Won't be ordering again :( And the shrimp in the salad are like little canned shrimp. So disappointed...

Bazbeaux is my favorite pizza place in Indianapolis. Went with family last night and had a delicious combo of Sun King beer, rocket salad (arugula, parmesan and kalamata olives with the house vinaigrette), and the garden pizza. The rocket salad is fantastic, so flavorful. The garden pizza is wonderful comfort food, with the addition of avocado (put avocado on anything and you've won me over) and ricotta to a traditional veggie pizza. I've tried the thin and thick crust, and both are great. My mom's margherita pizza was really good as well. Our server wasn't too knowledgeable about the drink options (it sounded like maybe they had just gotten some new options for spring?) but was friendly and fast. I'll be back for sure!

This is one of my top picks when going out for pizza. The don't offer the crazy selection of different pizzas that you find at Jockamo, but the quality of Bazbeaux's is probably a slight bit better. 4.5 stars for Bazbeaux's. Great crust and great sauce.

  • Nancy C.

Our favorite pizza is the Quattro formaggio - absolutely LOVE it. Can be a long wait particularly on the weekends or when the weather is nice. Outside seating during the summer is great for people watching on the Monon Trail. Beer assortment has grown over time which is a plus as well.

  • Lauren L.

Bazbeaux's is very delicious pizza. All sorts of different pies and toppings. Love the location on the Monon and their outdoor seating. While I have only eaten there a handful of times, I have a hard time setting them apart from other pizza places. Can't quite figure out their signature style.

Had a Hawaiian pizza for lunch. It was delicious. Made with very fresh ingredients and the crust was thin and crispy. We stopped during our Monon trail ride and practically has the place to ourselves.

I have never had a bad pizza here. The spinach salad is great. The house balsamic vinaigrette is wonderful. The service, the decor, the view of the Monon trail, all fabulous. I highly recommend the quarto fromagio.

Ever since moving to Carmel, I've been told several times I need to visit Bazbeaux, particularly by one of my co-workers. I don't go out of my way to eat pizza in restaurants because pizza is pizza - it tastes good, but is so easy and cheap to make delicious pizza at home that it would have to do a dance or something to impress me in a restaurant. Or the ambiance/decor has to be highly entertaining. So I finally came here with said co-worker and another one for a work lunch two years later, and it's not bad. The pizza was good and there were classy Christmas decorations (this was December 2012). They had a lunch special for a slice of pizza and a salad, but there weren't many kinds of pizzas to choose from - I can live with that. I got the tomato basil. We also split a piece of cake, which was a bit weird because it seemed to still be half-frozen and dry. But oh well. Don't be surprised if I don't come back, but I won't avoid it. If you like pizza restaurants, you'll probably like Bazbeaux.

Man I miss Bazbeaux. Being an Indy native recently transplanted to Southern California where nobody knows how to make a good pie, I had to visit my local Bazbeaux while I was back in town for business. I had not been to this location in Carmel before, but met a friend here for lunch and they didn't disappoint. I ordered my old favorite, the Colussus and man it hit the spot. I like the outdoor patio seating at this location. This was an $11 lunch which is a bit pricey for your everyday lunch, but I had to do it while I was in town.

I mean for christ sake when you order a pizza the least you should expect is a pizza made on like actual pizza dough. The thin pizza is made on some kind of cracker crust absolutely disgusting and so were the ingredients. It tasted just like a frozen pizza from walmart. Being that this place is kind of nice you would expect something nice but honestly even dominos is better than this place. Its sad that places like this are highly rated even though they actually suck. They should be lucky that people around here have no clue what good food is because if they did this place would be deservingly empty. Waste my money and my appetite.

Meh. I've had much, much better, and unfortunately, I have had worse. Nothing special...something funny about the crust. Almost reminded me of the crust on school lunch pizza. Ordered delivery. Dude was polite and prompt, but, I doubt I will order from here again when in the area.

Favorite spot in the summer. Love sitting on the patio relaxing with the antipasto salad and a chilled white wine. Had a fantastic Riesling last year. People watching on the Monon is a nice way to pass the time. I've also visited with children and the servers were great. Even with a hungry 2 yr old. Lots of patience and quick service. When we visit there is usually a larger party in the back celebrating. Definitely on my list of places for our next family get together. The pizza is good. We didn't get too adventurous pepperoni and margherita. Definitely want to try Napoli with next adventurous soul willing to brave anchovies.

This place is one of my favorite pizza places in Indy. The service is always amazing and the pizza is awesome. Typically I visit the location in Downtown Indy, but found myself in Carmel today. This location was great, especially the outdoor seating area. Normally when I sit outside I feel that the service isn't up to par compared to inside , but here that is not the case at all. Our waitress came out immediately and took our drink & appetizer order. She came back shortly and took our main course order; and what I loved the best is the fact that she actually had a cool personality. You could tell that she really loved her job. Our food came out fairly quickly and was hot and delicious. Our drinks never went empty and she checked on us regularly. I will definetely be back to this location.

Great lunch - fast and reasonable. Lots of seating inside or outside, this place always has been one of my favorite lunch spots in Carmel. Everyone here is super nice and always has a smile, the pizza is excellent and you always have time to socialize before heading back to the office. Park around back if no street parking is available.

I must have forgotten to log this one away this past fall! I recommend that everyone try Bazbeaux's at least once! It is incredible to me how quickly Bazbeaux has become an Indianapolis staple! If you like craft beer and fresh ingredient pizza, then may I suggest the next time you think Pizza you think Bazbeauxs? Love the decor and how uniquely they fit into Carmel's Art and design district just off the Monon. The only downside is that they do not a huge amount of seating. If you are looking for a group setting, you are best to order to go.

Best Pizza in Indy? You bet! I finally tried it and can't agree more! Half Quattro Formaggio without mushrooms and half Hawaiian was our pizza of choice. Lots of quality ham on the Hawaiian, but might try it without the red onions and green peppers next time. Excellent service!

Stopped in with the family a while back during a road trip. We were seated quick, the service was friendly and prompt. Pizza arrived at our table in a very timely fashion. Ordered a Margherita and one I can't really remember (had cheddar, bacon, ham...I posted a pic of them). Cooked thoroughly, seasoned well, crust was very good. I do remember the bathrooms being a bit unkempt... All in all, a very enjoyable lunch at Bazbeaux Pizza. If we make it back to Carmel, it's definitely worth another shot.

They have pretty extensive choices for specialty pizza. The garlic bread and pesto was good. They even offer you an option if you want to do half and half on a pizza for a $2 surcharge. The location is convenient. I just wished that they allow strollers in the patio.

I love Bazbeaux Pizza! All of their pizzas are great, but I also really love their salads; try the creamy cucumber or basil for something different. Note: this would be a 5-star review if the Carmel location were as good as the downtown or Broad Ripple location.

  • Leslie S.

Pizza was tasty, lots of specialty choices. We had a barbecue chicken and a pepperoni pizza. Both were very good and had many toppings and a just right crust thickness. The restaurant was accommodating for a table of 8, including 4 kids. We got right in at 6 pm on a Saturday night, but when we left after 7pm there was a long wait.

Zzzz... boring pizza, boring atmosphere, forgettable service. I'll take Pucchini's over Bazbeaux's any day.

We were a little disappointed, the pizzas were very average American style pies. The service was friendly, but S L O W, and the place was nearly empty. All in all, we've had better (Jan's Village Pizza in Westfield beats this place!)

Best pizza in town, they have many different exotic toppings to choose from. The staff is usually pretty friendly. The sauce they use is not like any other. This is by far my favorite pizza place in Indy. It can get a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

While the food was great, the service and accommodation for a small group with a baby was something less than desirable. Thumbs up: #1 The food was delicious hot and mostly correct #2 Love that they are serving up local brews #3 Outdoor patio area is a nice addition Here are a list of complaints #1 Don't bother to call ahead; not only do they not take reservations, they can't/won't tell you how long the wait is. #2 Our 20 minute wait turned into an hour and 20 minutes. #3 Our server got our drink order in right away, then disappeared for another 20+ minutes before she bothered to take our order #4 After we finally were served we never saw our waitress again until the bills came. #5 Some of us who ordered only water got charged for sodas which might not be such a huge deal if we didn't have a never before seen a forced 20% gratuity (usually 18%) on such shotty service. #6 They have an unspoken "no stroller" rule, so be prepared to lug your diaper bag through the place. This could be particularly irritating if your baby has fallen asleep. Just a tip: Street parking can be kind of tricky on a busy Friday or Saturday night so be prepared for a little bit of a walk. A+ food D- customer service

Very friendly staff and delicious food. We started with the garlic bread which was ok. We ordered without the cheese and next time I think we'd order with it on. I had the house salad with the homemade creamy basil which was delicious. Then the Quattro frommagio with bacon and mushrooms - so good! I didn't want to stop eating because it was so yummy :). Will definitely be back!

Higher-end tasting pizza and a cheapo price. WIN! The ingredients all tasted fresh, the pie was hot, and I even ate the crust (I hate crust). It was ordered for takeout and it was ready on time. After that, it's all a pizza-devouring blur. The bbq pizza was delightful and so was the meat-filled monstrosity. It was worth the few extra bucks paid to avoid having a national-chain pizza (sorry, Dominos. I know you've updated your pizza but you don't have anything on this dough).

Love,Love,Love Bazbeaux's Quattro Fromage...that's french for "Four Cheese". I visited the Carmel location. The service was great!, The atmosphere was pleasant. The price was okay. Their selection of beers, hard cider and other beverages compliments the style of pizza they sell. I will visit again!!

I'm not new to Bazbeaux Pizza, but I was new to the Carmel location last Saturday evening. Sat outside and listened to a live jazz band, enjoyed a couple of Sun King Cream Ales and mushroom and fresh basil (try it, it's good!) pizza. Also had a house salad that was pretty decent...nothing to write home about (the salad, that is), but nothing to complain about either. 30 minute estimated wait for outdoor seating, it actually was *maybe* a 20 minute wait. On a Saturday night around 7:30 PM. I know you (yes...YOU) have been waiting for another Yelp! review of Bazbeaux, so feel free to show some love, compliment this outstanding review and make it Review of the Day. Go ahead. Seriously. I double-dog dare you.

I went here with a few coworkers for lunch and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is great and it's in a really nice location in the arts district of Carmel. We went for lunch and there weren't a lot of people there, which made it a really great experience. We each got a ten inch pizza. I ordered the bayou chicken pizza and was completely pleased with my order. Another coworker got the pizza alla quattro formaggio and another ordered the Greek pizza. Everyone was very pleased with what they ordered. The service was friendly and for a sit-down pizza restaurant, we didn't have to wait very long for our order. The only downside to this restaurant is that it's a little on the expensive side. It was over $40 for the four of us. But I suppose if you want larger, cheaper pizzas you could always go to Pizza Hut.

Excellent pizza! The ingredients fresh and high quality. The flavorful crust baked to perfection. Relaxed and inviting space to sit and chat. Too early for a beer, but great selection. Highly recommended!

I recently switched to a vegan diet and Bazbeaux is very vegan friendly. I had the veggie pizza without cheese. It was piled high with fresh toppings and the crust was tasty as well. Great location on the Monon in Carmel. Nice outdoor seating area as well. Will definitely be back. There are so many different pizzas I want to try.

Pizza was okay, I've been here several times. What really gets me is that I had a large group when it came time for the check they told us they wouldn't give us individual checks. The wait staff made us figure out our bill including the tax and tip individually, never ever have I heard of this. Even the one in Broad Ripple doesn't make you do this.

Bazbeaux definitely hit the spot when I was craving pizza over the weekend. We were told the wait would be twenty minutes for three people but it was more like ten minutes. Bonus points. We feasted on the Bazbeaux Special, the Luke, and the Colossus. At first I was disappointed that it appeared the Colossus didn't have much on it until my boyfriend took a big bite and was delighted to find most everything was under the cheese. Whew. He devoured that ten inch in record speed (so he was either really hungry or anxious to get to a tv showing the Reds game!). Our friend had The Luke which features bleu cheese and celery among other things. He liked the first few slices but even smothering the pizza in ranch dressing didn't help the overpowering taste of bleu chesse after awhile. Nonetheless, all but one piece was eaten. Now, the best pizza in my opinion, is the awesome Bazbeaux Special chock full of garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil. Does it get any better? No, no it does not. When I hear the words "pizza pie" I immediately think of the Bazbeaux Special and drool on my chin a little. Good stuff. The only downfall is that the service was a little slow and it wasn't overly busy by the time we ordered. That really isn't enough to stop me from coming here again and again.

Let me start by saying that I love Bazbeaux pizza, I really do. My 3-star only rating for this location, however, comes from my two most recent experiences, one in-house and one delivery. The in-house visit found us sitting on the terrace on a not-too-busy weeknight, yet we had to ask several times for our server to bring more water, our cheesbread took forever to arrive and worst of all, when we were ready to pay...we waited, and waited, and waited. Our server was not unfriendly at all, but we were not impressed, especially given that this was not a busy Friday evening. Cut to our delivery experience a few weeks down the road: terrible! We always and I mean, always, order an antipasto salad with whatever pizza we choose. When we get our order, what do we find but a large regular tossed salad. Sure enough, we were charged for the large antipasto, but that's not what we received. To add insult to injury, we were put on hold by the person answering the phone when we called to ask for our correct salad...it seems that only a manager can make such a "command" decision, please!! After at least a five minute wait, the manager came on the phone and said something like, "these things happen, man....what would you like me to do for you?" Excuse me???? Suffice it to say we finally did get our salad - about 40 minutes later, after our pizza had been eaten and there was no refund, gift certificate or any such enticement to overlook this incident. Bottom line: no problems with the food, but service seems to be a little less than stellar of late at this location. Downtown location is still my favorite. One more thing: the tartufo dessert is fantastic!

Pizza is good, but goodness is the service slow. Count on 90-120 minutes to order, wait, and eat. Since I do not often have two hours of time to waste for lunch my wife and I visit there maybe once every 2-3 months.

Waiting for 1:10 minutes for our pizza order after it was apparently forgotten was not a good showing on our first visit to this location. I might be more forgiving if they were busy, but they weren't. We won't be back.

Our favorite pizza is the Quattro formaggio - absolutely LOVE it. Can be a long wait particularly on the weekends or when the weather is nice. Outside seating during the summer is great for people watching on the Monon Trail. Beer assortment has grown over time which is a plus as well.

Bazbeaux's is very delicious pizza. All sorts of different pies and toppings. Love the location on the Monon and their outdoor seating. While I have only eaten there a handful of times, I have a hard time setting them apart from other pizza places. Can't quite figure out their signature style.

  • Marcel R.

Spectacular. Love pizza, and the Quattro is what my family and I always get. The bread is great too!

If we make it back to Carmel, it's definitely worth another shot.

nice crunchy crust. didn't quite like the melted cheddar as topping. mozz or feta would've been better but still a decent slice.

Best pizza in town, they have many different exotic toppings to choose from. The staff is usually pretty friendly. The sauce they use is not like any other. This is by far my favorite pizza place in Indy. It can get a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Always great service and people at bazbeaux pizza. Creamy basil on spinach salad is great and your pick of pie for great indoor or outdoor meal.

They put a creative spin on their pizza without it seeming contrived. The flavors and quality have been consistent each time I have eaten there. It is one of very few pizza places I look forward to going back to.

Pizza is good, but goodness is the service slow. Count on 90-120 minutes to order, wait, and eat. Since I do not often have two hours of time to waste for lunch my wife and I visit there maybe once every 2-3 months.
