Great local hangout with something for everyone! Plenty of TV's for whichever sport you're into. Lotto and video gaming machines. Bands on the weekends. Friendly owner and staff! Excellent food and drinks with daily specials. Who could pass up $1 steak, chicken or beef tacos on a Wednesday? Pizza's are some of the best around!

This is a dive bar with live music and sports on TV (gee really?). The crowd covers a range of ages and is very casual. If you don't flash a tattoo you'll be easily identified as a non-regular. It was a friendly place though.

We stopped in for lunch while dropping off a guitar next door. About 1pm on a Saturday. Pretty busy parking lot full. (Small parking lot) They have lots of tables and several tvs. Food. We order the special large Hawaiian pizza 10.00 the crust is very thin and crispy. BBQ was alright not that much more like a thin layer but did the job. The cheese was there. Funny thing the pineapple was placed 1 on each slice and next to that the ham was placed. So topping were lacking. I also order the cobb wrap.. yum. It came with the best fries and we order a side of cheese that reminded me of my childhood. We also got the chili it was good and temperature hot. However my broccoli soup was cold. Nice service.

The other reviewers are right. Yeah, this place is a dive bar. Yeah, some of the patrons look a little douchy or sketchy...one guy in particular was loud and obnoxious and if anyone laughed at something he said he'd beat that joke until it begged for mercy. Yes, it looks like a place you go to long enough you'll see a bar fight, and no, you don't want to bring your kids there. But the place is also full of good, down to earth genuine people too. People you're not going to mind sitting next to. So far the food is ok, not great. I tried the nachos, which were fine, but the chili was weirdly sweet. The steak tacos were passable but that's it. The rice on the side was excellent though, and the beans were decent. I tried a chicken flatbread which was tasty, and their pasta salad is delicious. There's a little something for everyone in there. Lots of tv's, darts all kinds of gambling stuff, those trivia machines, and of course the people. I wish it had a bigger beer menu though....it's pretty small. I know I'll be back. I wouldn't say this is the place for dinner but if you live close and want to have some drinks and food, you'll be happy. The prices are very reasonable....we spent 54 bucks on 7-8 beers, 4 pops an appetizer and two dinners. Just because it's a three star place doesn't mean you won't have fun, it just means the place isn't the Ritz Carlton and that's fine by me.

They book a band and don't pay them. Can't really respect people like that regardless of the menu/specials/atmosphere

Trying to describe this place ;) sports bar / regular hangout / bands and events. Very casual place with daily drink and food specials. The food is good. Try the homemade cheese sticks. They have a good Bears 1/2 time free buffet (even though I am a Packers fan). Servers are great. Go....you'll have fun, the place has a good vibe.

First time in this place but I'll be back. It's a dive bar atmosphere and has some slots if you're into gambling. They have good specials EVERY day so you dont need to break the bank. The staff was friendly and attentive and the pizza was really good.

Nothing bad to say about this place. I love there dollar tacos on Wednesdays and the people there are nice. Only downside is the highschool talent level of bands that sometimes place there

This bar reminds me of my college bar. You walk in there and the customers look like they are stuck in the 90's too...some early 80's. They have the best tacos and hamburgers. I can't believe I am actually raving about bar food, but they have really good food and reasonably priced drinks. They actually make perfect Long Island's. Never a dull moment in this place.

If you're looking for an upscale, classy place to take the lady friend, this is NOT your place. If you are looking for a fun hangout where you can play darts and get scratch-off tickets, then this is the place for you :) We got here at about 9 on a Friday night, and it wasn't exactly hopping, but it wasn't dead either. We were able to play darts in peace and have a great time! Plus, I won $4 on scratchoffs! YAY FOR ME!

Thursdays are the day to go. They have 50 cent wings thursdays and they are big. They also have $2 16oz drafts which are extremely cold and refreshing. It is a dive bar but a good one.

I started going to The Loop about 2 years ago. It's close to home and they typically have great specials: Thursday's $2 for 2 Tacos (surprisingly good for a non-Mexican joint) and Friday: $3 You Call It Drinks... Walking in, the regulars are bellied up to the bar taking a load off after a long day. Everyone seems to know everyone. The atmosphere is super casual, the decor could use some serious updating but for the prices, it's totally fine. The staff is usually very nice but we have noticed that on certain days of the week the bartender seems to be running the whole floor which causes some delay in service. Overall, I like the place and it's a great trip to make when I need a quick cocktail or a quick bite to eat.

Dont come here if you don't want to get sexual harassed by the management. Waitresses are trashy and slow....didn't have a good experience. Most of the clientele are missing teeth, not quite the bar for me.

I go here for the Bacon Burger and fries. Beats the pants off Portillos in my opinion. Its a neighborhood bar people, it serves its purpose fully. Cold beer, games on like 30 tvs and food.

Was there on Wednesday for Trivia Comedy night and it was great. Cheap drinks and free comedy. It's hard to find that around here. Great for the game too. All new TVs.

They have decent breakfast specials on Sundays. The hubby & I both had food and drinks & only cost us $20! I have been here on the weekends and it's full of regulars, they don't get many good bands to play here often enough to keep me coming back.

The music is painfully loud, making conversation impossible unless you are there for breakfast or lunch. The clientele tend to look like rough bikers and spend most of their time swearing loudly. We left in the middle of a meal once because one large group of laborers were getting violent. Finally, everytime we've been there, there has been an old guy acting like a pimp with a bunch of young women around him who look and behave like hookers. I try hard to avoid this place, but for some reason various friends and neighbors like the Loop. I have no idea why.
