Great food! I recommend the wings with Garlic Parmesan sauce. Option to sit outside on the patio. Restaurant has a large patio but usually many smokers. We sat outside where there weren't any fans so there were many flies. However, good view located right on Illinois river. This restaurant has a stage for live music outside.

The food here is good and they have an amazing beer selection. I love the choices of sides (their mac & cheese is a nice alternative to fries). One recurring problem for us is the service. Waitresses sometimes treat you like you're invisible, and getting a 2nd drink always seems to take forever. The menu says there are 10 varieties of wings - great. What are they? We asked our server and she could name only 4. There are tons of great beers in those coolers. Again, how are we supposed to know what's in there? For value, the beer is priced right. A burger & fries will cost you $10 though.

I was driving around the twin small towns of La salle and Peru. On the peru side this looked like the only decent place. it is along the river and can fit in any town. I t has great food and the owner seems to collect alot of interesting displays and decorations. There are more than enough seating and televisions and the beer selection here is huge. not much more you can ask for a bar and in this town they are lucky to have anything like this.

So we took an overnight trip to go to Matthiessen State Park and we stayed in Peru for the evening. After dinner, we looked for a bar nearby and Waterstreet Pub stood out the most, with good reviews for sitting outside. I love to sit outside as much as possible during Illinois' short summer, especially since I live in Chicago. So we walk in and I ask a server if we can sit outside, she asks if we are ordering food, I respond no and she says "Well, you can order your drink at the bar and then sit outside." What?? That's pretty odd. Last I checked a server makes more money off people ordering drinks...No? So we decided to stay inside and sit at the bar instead. The bartender seemed nice enough, but clearly enjoyed his friends or regulars or whatever they were. He even let one of them pour his own tequila into his glass. So anyway, all seems fine, a couple guys play some music on the juke box, including Led Zeppelin and Live. I think, good tunes, the hubby and I should play some music too. We play a little Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sister Hazel (sorry they are my favorite) and Black Sabbath. Things are ok, we are having drinks and enjoying ourselves...all of a sudden a group of guys walks in and the bartender yells something using the actual word for the female body part very loud. Ok, so maybe non regulars aren't made to feel welcome here, I was a little grossed out. Then the bartender turns on some sort of loud house/electronic music...after hearing the songs the two separate groups of people (the only two groups of people inside the bar) were playing at this seemingly chill bar. We paid our tab and left. Just a weird experience.

Went recently to listen to a good friend sing and play in their outside patio. Our waitress ( can't remember her name) kept our glasses full of soda and iced tea. We ordered lunch, and our food came out quick and hot. Mountains of fries with our sandwiches. Prices very reasonable, $23.00 for our lunches and drinks. I would imagine if you're a beer drinker your tabs gonna be a little more. All in all, good food and drinks, good music, fresh air, they all add up to a nice afternoon.

Waited for an hour for two burgers on a Saturday night. The wait staff was very understanding but could not help. They paid for our drinks but we had to leave because it took so long. Great atmosphere but the kitchen gets backed up when it's busy so be prepared to wait. I here the food is good...

Oh I am full! In town for work and wanted something local, not chain. The evenings special was Chicken Oscar (chicken breast on a bed of wild rice with a sauce, asparagus, and crab meat topping). It was flavorful and filling. The chicken was cooked just right, juicy and tender. The sauce was not to salty, the asparagus fresh, the crab tender and not "fishy", and the wild rice was cooked perfect. Everyone was friendly and inviting, would not hesitate to go back. The reason for a deduction of a star is because the sitting was not the best, next to a door that lead to an outdoor smoking area so from time to time we would get blasted with cold smoky air.

Looking for a job? No? Well that's what you can expect coming here.You will be basically training your waitress.Hey,wheres the manager/owner at?!?Oh,there he is, playing the slot machines.Great! This is my third time coming here.I'm sitting here waiting for my corrected sandwich,which originally came out wrong and waitress blamed cook.Hey tell it to the judge! If you knew,why did you bring it out!? Oh,.... i know,..you don't care.We can see you having great time in back of kitchen,by the way.While waiting for cole slaw and some ranch sauce for my friends to have a complete meal. Still waiting......waitress obviously forgot,walking from the front of establishment to kitchen. About 80' .You can see the laughter through the kitchen window.Whats happening to my sandwich.I was thinking to myself.Cancel that order!!! My friends meals are Pulled pork topped with slaw ,hmmm no slaw.Chicken bacon "RANCH" UMMMM no ranch....Do you have to be genius to get these simple tasks completed?There were absolutely NO customers on the dining side by the way.My first experience here was great ,it was lunch on a weekday.Great service too.Second time was ok,My Philly "STEAK" was Italian beef with peppers onion and cheese,i lived with it and had to correct waitress on pulled pork which it topped with slaw.Third time....ridiculous!!!! I would have start coming here regularly, cause the food IS good and i like the location.And if the waitress's are reading, we tip 20% or more for good service.My lesson for today is to learn your menu and know what your serving,its not that hard.

Very unimpressed. Tasteless mashed potatoes. Side salad was a few leaves of iceberg lettuce and one cherry tomato. Ordered delivery and no napkin or cutlery. Disappointed.

2nd time I ordered delivery from here and it sucked...the first time the pizza was burnt and the order was wrong...food is tasteless and overpriced. 2 thumbs down!!!

Food is really good.. it's a little pricey. I like how they have most beer on hand that you can think of. Service was ok... When getting our change for our meal, I was supposed to get $12.18 back... I got $12.00, where's my .18 cents. So that's what they get for a tip then I guess. There was 5 people in our group and they did this to all of us. I will not be going back because of this, not that .18 cents is going to break me, but it's the whole point. Either get waitresses that can do math or start giving correct change...Wtf...

The previous reviews are correct. Poor service but good food. Their macaroni and cheese is very good, burgers ok. The beer selection was ok, but not anything amazing. One of the cooks was wearing a sleeveless shirt, gross! Just passing through so I can't compare to anything else in the area.

They just started serving breakfast on the weekends and the omlets are great along with the hashbrowns.

Terrible all around. Appetizers were obviously frozen and just refried, and still cold when they arrived . Ordered the Ribeye medium rare, what I got was well done. Service was horrendous and inattentive. The server forgot to bring out the cole saw, forgot to get me a beer I ordered, and charged us for several drinks that we did not order, and it's not like the place was very busy. I had two after dinner drinks. The first one was fine, asked for another and the second one wasn't even close to what I ordered. Do yourself a favor and stay away!
