The Asia Grill Menu

Very good, I definitely got my Asian food fix satisfied. Moo Goo Go Gi Pan was fine because of the fresh veggies and rice which make it happen. I would echo the sentiments of S.T. that it tasted rather bland and boring. Unfortunately I don't carry sauce with me so the soy sauce on the table had to suffice. Service was very attentive and was reasonably priced.

Bland and boring food. Very clean and good service, however, if you are in the market for bland and boring. My spicy curry was neither nor. Bring your own rooster sauce if you want flavor. I can declare this now that I've been several times.

I like spicy Chinese food but this was not spicy, not very tasty just OK. When we got there staff was eating in the dining room, I thought they were customers. We were looking around for someone to seat us, they take another bit of food then come on over to greet us. But Hey 2 stars cause it's better than mall food.

Man, oh man. I hate writing bad reviews, but this place was SO bad, my boyfriend asked me to do so. And I have to say... I agree with him. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and ended up getting chewy chicken and celery (soooooooooo much celery). Yeah. Celery. In my Kung Pao chicken. I also asked for "medium spicy" and my food had no flavor. Well, besides celery. My boyfriend ordered General Tso's chicken and it was super bad. His food was so overcooked he couldn't eat it. It, too, did not have any flavor. We ordered minced chicken lettuce wraps. Eh. I couldn't eat it because the texture was so off-putting. The chicken is not minced - it looks like pate. LOL Pretty gross. Overall, unfortunately, this place was terrible and we will never eat here again and we really, really, really, really advise anyone and everyone not to eat here. Our search for good Chinese food in Ptown continues :D

LOVE this little treasure tucked over on the backside of Junction City! The ingredients are always extremely high quality and totally fresh. They will adjust the spiciness level of anything you order too which is great if you love everything hot, hot, hot! I stopped in for a to-go order for a night in front of the new fall shows and when I got home, I couldn't believe how stuffed the container was! I added a picture because even after I dished out my portion, the container looked completely full. Score for lunch the next day!! I did subtract a star because there didn't seem to be much flavor beyond the heat, I like a combo of a rich and spicy sauce and the rich part was missing. But the ingredients were still top-notch and almost enough for 3 meals!!!

Not too bad but it is Definitely not the best asian food in Peoria! This is your typical Americanized Chinese food. I have tried their shumai, tempura, and curry chicken. The shumai is mediocre.. I wont even call that shumai.. The curry chicken is pretty standard, pretty much the same as other chinese restaurant. However, I do like the tempura, it goes really well with the sauce that they provide. I would give this restaurant a 3 star if it's not because of the tempura. Oh they also did not give me fortune cookie! They gave us pineapple instead. I give them thumbs up for this. Verdict: this is your slightly above average typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. Don't get your hopes too high after reading good reviews in here.

I had Szechuan Chicken for lunch today. I believe that is the most vile szechuan I have ever... The rice somehow rubbery and doughy at the same time. The vegetable's a mixture of undercooked large hunks and inappropriate for Szechuan. (It seems like all their dishes I have has the same mixture broccoli or hunan style vegetables? Even the Mongolian Beef I had last time). The sauce a thin brown sauce without any flavor. No peppers. No garlic. No chili's. No Sichuan pepper. Yuck.

Been here twice. got the shrimp and cashew combination platter. its tasty. it was, like another reviewer said, very full of celery... but it was good though. the shrimp was real good. big shrimp too. i just wish it had another 3 or 4 shrimps in there. the combination platter is 8 bucks and comes with a big/decent portion of the entree you choose and a small eggroll, or crab ragoon. overall though i was full and satisfied. in addition up behind the counter is a little kitty cat statue that waves at you. thats a star right there.

This is easily the best Chinese restaurant in the City of Peoria. It is second only to Haylumoon out in Chillicothe. However, the pineapple chicken I had there was so good, I went back and had it again the next day. The crab rangoon is also pretty good.

My wife and I went in here for lunch. They have lunch specials, which I think were like $7. The lunch specials come with an entree, rice, and your choice of 2 Egg Rolls or 2 Crab Cangoon. My wife ordered the Chicken Curry, but replaced the chicken with tofu. She was very impressed with her meal. She would give the place 5 stars. I ordered General Tso's Chicken (I know, adventurous) with the Crab Rangoon. I thought the chicken was good, but nothing to write home about. It was sweet and flavorful. The Crab Rangoon, however, was GREAT. It was good enough to bump me from 3 stars to 4. If you're over in Junction City, this isn't a bad place to stop, and while it is good, I don't really see myself venturing over real often.

This is probably the best quality Chinese food I have yet to eat in Peoria. The Chinese chicken curry was scrumptious and there were lots of fresh veggies on my plate - the food tasted fresh, had all white meat, and was presented very prettily. Hubby had the Szechuan shrimp and said it was delicious. The meat portion was probably enough for two meals, but the accompanying white rice was scant and left me wanting more. We also tried a fried tofu appetizer that was battered in what looked like a tempura batter and had an accompanying soy sauce. This was just okay, and not something we would order again. The inside decor looks nicer in photographs, but the place was certainly very clean and had a more modern vibe. I just expected it to be a nicer sit-down Chinese restaurant but found that it felt more like upscale Chinese take-out. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and pineapple was served at the end of meal to cleanse your palate :) We enjoyed this place a lot but felt it was a little pricey for dinner, especially compared to prices at similar restaurants in Peoria. Next time we would do lunch, and then they'd get 5 stars!

We just tried this tonight and I am hooked! No MSG added and not greasy at all. We had potstickers, which were the best around so far in my opinion and chicken pad thai, curry chicken, and pork friend rice. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were large. We have tried almost every Chinese food place in town and I think we have found a new favorite!

I was so excited to eat here because I had heard such good things and the reviews were all positive. But I was very disappointed and underwhelmed. The pot stickers tasted like fried cocktail meatballs. Orange chicken was meh, weird orangey. Mongolian beef better then airport, not anything to write home about. Probably wont be back.

They have great food, rather disappointed today though, got there for lunch at 3:05 and there lunch specials end at 3. they wanted that hard cut off time, felt like a jerk but I wasn't paying 10+ for a lunch. Not their fault, so I paid for my already ordered drink and left. Sadly they got close to no business for the deal.

Worst experience dining in: This was my first time going to Asia Grill as I heard from friends that the food was good. I went there with my colleagues for lunch today. We were a group of 12 and they got the table set up quick. Once we got seated, it took the waiter(a young guy) about 10-15 mins to come and ask what we wanted to drink. He took the orders 2 at a time instead of getting all the drink orders at once. After we got the drink, he disappeared for a while before we called him to come over to our table to take the order. No one ordered anything complicated from their menu; It was pretty much the lunch specials. After about 10 mins, the food started coming out 2 at a time. My friend and I didn't get our food and so we waited... and waited..for another 15 mins or so. We tried to get our waiter's attention to ask about the delay but we were ignored (too busy serving other tables). We finally got a waitress's attention and asked her about our order. She went to the kitchen to check on it and she said we should have received our food based on the order ticket they have. I told her it makes no sense as we are 12 people and they only served 10. What is unacceptable to me is that she didn't acknowledge that they messed up on the order and then the waitress came back to our table, while everyone else was still eating, and started sorting out the problem of where/how the order went wrong. She started asking each person what they had ordered(again) and started checking it off from the order receipt she had. Its like she was convinced they didn't mess up from their end. Now this to me is stupid. Couldn't she just have counted the number of plates on the table to understand that there are 12 people in the group and only 10 plates on the table. Also, sorting this should come after service, not when people are eating. Finally, when everyone got done eating, my friend and I still haven't gotten our food and we told them to pack it to go. After that terrible service, She had the audacity to say that she would still have to charge us both as we have to pay for food. But she gave us a discount (the discount was $1 off the regular price.. I'm not joking) I understand a restaurant gets really busy during lunch hours and sometimes mistakes happen on orders. But that is still not an excuse for a poor service. Overall, the food was good and that is the only reason I even gave a 2 star rating. This was by far the worst dining experience I had and sadly, I won't be dining there again.

This place is good. Went here for dinner and we were seated as we entered so it didn't seem busy at all. We ordered the tofu teriyaki and kung pao shrimp. The tofu wasn't fried so it was a soft tofu teriyak, and it cane with a miso soup. Both dishes were good; pretty much your standard American Chinese food. The pricing was a little high, but it's fine. I don't know if I would come back though. I mean it's good, but I would much rather go to Golden Kitchen. Anyway, I would say sure, if you come across this Asia Grill give them a try.

This is one of the only places I eat when I'm home in Peoria. Everything is always good. I've never been disappointed in the slightest. I typically come here AT LEAST once every couple weeks. Usually it's a weekly affair, however. They have an online ordering system for takeout that makes it extremely convenient to order and pick your food up in about 15 minutes. There have been a few occasions when it's been a few minutes late, but there was always a clear reason. This place gets packed out with people ordering takeout on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff is always very attentive, and you can tell that they take pride in what they do. I've had quite a few things on the menu and they've all been good. There are the typical combination platters, awesome appetizers like crab rangoons and dumplings, and some really awesome bento box-style dishes as well (I think they're called something else though...grill combo boxes or something like that). However, I'm going to let you in on probably the best kept secret in Peoria: Nabeyaki Udon. Having worked in an Asian fusion restaurant for a summer, I fell head over heels in love with udon. These thick, chewy noodles are good enough to eat on their own. But Asia Grill really kicks it up a notch. These noodles swim amongst a number of fresh veggies, chicken, and even a soft-boiled egg (I'm such a sucker for egg yolks). It's all tied together by the best broth you're going to find anywhere near this city. It's smokey, it's got tons of umami, and, best of all, it doesn't taste like it was poured out of a can! On top of all that, it comes with a goodie bag filled with tempura veggies and shrimp. What else could you ask for?! This destroys any bowl of chicken noodle soup you've ever had, grandmother's secret recipe included. Pro tip: ask for it extra spicy if you: A. Enjoy spicy things like I do, or B. Want to clear out your sinuses. This soup is my go-to when I'm sick. Seriously, stop reading this review and order already. If you're looking for any type of Asian food in Peoria, this is the place to get it.

Today was my first visit to The Asia Grill. We received our order quickly, but there it was wrong, so we had to send it back. The correct order came out a short time later and mine wasn't very hot. The crab Rangoon was sweet and tasty. I also had the curry chicken. It was flavorful, but didn't have the heat I was expecting and hoping for. The portion size was large and enough for me to take home. They were busy, as it was lunch hour and I think our waitress was new. I m willing to go back and give it another try, at a less busy hour.

Consistently delicious food! My husband gets the Kung pow chicken, and he says it is spicy & very flavorful. I have ordered the Thai red curry with chicken 4 times now and it is amazing. This is our go-to restaurant when we don't know what we feel like eating!

Excellent food. But horrible waitress! She dumped our food on the table. Gave us our check when we were still in the middle of eating ( there was no waiting ), and then did not even care to say thank you. Ridiculous. If I were the owner I would fire her.

My wife and I came to live in Peoria from Florida. Once we settled in, we started looking for good places to eat. Being Asian food one of our favorite foods, we tried a few places around town and we were totally discouraged until we found Asia Grill. We love it. We've tried a lot of their dishes and love them all. I like, in particular, the Ramune marble sodas. We order to take home very often, but when we dine there the service and attention is great. We highly recommend it.

Always great friendly service. The Chinese food is the best in the area. The spicy jalapeño chicken, fried rice, and egg rolls are my personal favs.

Ordered shrimp lo mein, very good. Thick noodles which is rare. My gf ordered pepper steak which we assumed would be black pepper on steak, like at sushi ko. Not the case because they meant bell peppers. Which would be fine if the pepper to steak ratio wasn't 95 to 5. They earned a four star however with the lo mein (shrimp) and some absolutely phenomenal crab Rangoon. A must order. C

Best in Peoria! Chicken Pad Thai & Kung Po chicken are great (and spicy!). Their crab rangoons are excellent too. Good prices and portions! The staff is very nice and my carry out is always ready on time.

Perhaps they have lost their chef, but our experience did not match that of previous reviewers. The food was really bland and tasteless. I ordered the chicken pad thai, and the noodles were a gummy blob. The chicken was fatty and rubbery. Also, I don't think they had any heat on in the restaurant, most diners ate wearing their coats. A miserable experience.

My lunch order arrived at my table super-quickly. I like that they offer brown rice as an option, and with the lunch specials you can also choose egg roll or rangoon. Their crab rangoon is the sweet variety, with lots of crabby pieces. The restaurant is pretty new, which helps, but I do like the decor. The music can be a little fluffy, but it's not too loud so I can let it pass.

Great food and very reasonably priced! The Pad Thai is very good, the basil Thai dishes, too. The tempura appetizer is very large and melt in your mouth crispy, just like tempura should be. And the Tom Yum soup was also very good, with lots of seafood and veggies. All the vegetables are crisp and brightly colored and fresh. So nice to have Chinese food in Peoria that isn't swimming in gravy! We recommend ordering an appetizer, a Tom Yum soup and one entree for two people. Portions come out just about right to have you leaving full, but not groaning over a superextended stomach. We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. You won't be either.

Got the spicy Korean pork. Lunch price was great. I enjoyed the food. 1 star off for poor service.

We get carry-out from Asia Grill all the time. The food is top notch compared to most alternatives in town. We love to start with the Crab Ragoon or the Lettuce Wraps. Pad Thai noodles are nice and light. Unlike others in town, they use high quality ingredients. You pay a bit more, but it's definitely worth it. You can't go wrong here. Great draw for Junction City as well !!!

This is the best Asian food in Peoria! I have been searching for a good Asian restaurant and finally one has arrived. The food is diverse, prompt, & full of flavor. We tried a few different appetizers, soup, & main dishes.

Wow! After the nice reviews here we decided to try this place. We ordered Korean spicy pork and mango shrimp. The first dish was oily and failed in taste. First of all, I shouldn't have expected the Korean dish to be authentic. If a place wants to name a dish Korean they should at least do their homework. Suggestion to owner, name it Chinese pork. Don't insult the Korean spicy pork which uses a hot pepper paste marinate and the pork doesn't ever come in strips. In the end after two bites we discarded the Korean pork. Mango shrimp was good but oily! Not coming back. Epic fail.

We moved to Peoria a few years ago and have had a hard time finding a good Chinese restaurant. I've finally found a place that serves great Chinese food. The portions are great. I also love that the food isn't greasy or swimming in an overly salty sauce. I will definitely return. This place will be my go-to restaurant for Chinese in the future.

Big city Asian wanna-be. The pad thai is bland. The second time we ordered the Kung Pow shrimp...they should call it "Kung Pow Celery". It was not yummy. I couldn't even finish it. And, the soup tastes like dirty dish water. Bleck. We won't go back.

Great food, I would highly recommend the pad thai.

  • Natalie K.

This place is a favorite of mine. Tastes way fresher than most Asian places. Service is generally pretty good and they have a long list of lunch specials that leave you full..almost too full if you tend to consume the whole thing like I do! The pad Thai is one of my faves..tastes different than your standard pad Thai..has a spicy kick to it. So good.
