Reliably friendly workers at this location. And always good coffee/prep. Rare exception, hence 4-stars. Tables can use a bit more wipe down from all the Frappucino-goo and kid-spillage.

I like this Starbucks because it tends to be a good place typically to stay for an extended period of time to study. The crowd seems to be more of an in and out one, rather than bringing lots of children or lots of middle school kids. The baristas are all very nice. Drinks are standard as to the other Starbucks I've been too. Lots of in and out so tables tend to be on the dirty side. Can't go wrong with the Starbucks pastries or the biscottis or the chocolate covered grahams. Really, I do love Starbucks, I am just not a fan of their over roasted beans - at all. They do great work as a company in giving back to the community and employ kind people. And they are everywhere. And in general, pretty standard. That's why I think they are A-OK!

The service is fast and the atmosphere is good overall. The only drawback is the tea is not the greatest compared to teavana. The cost of coffee is rising like the price in gas.

I used to live in Oakbrook (about 3 years ago) and would often frequent this Starbucks, as well as the connected Wild Oats. Well, a lot has changed since then! The Wild Oats was gobbled up by Whole Foods, and the Starbucks has been updated with additional communal seating in the center. Because this Starbucks has always been a happening 'scene and be seen' location, the improved seating really helps matters... for those of us actually trying to work and not take part in the meat market aspect! Though it's bustling, it's not too loud in here and I was able to successfully listen in on a conference call. Service was efficient and friendly just as you'd expect from a Starbucks. Plenty of parking, too!

In an effort to gain cool votes, I decided to review the coolest establishment in the world. Starbucks. Cool, right? Okay, so not only is Starbucks cool all on its own, the extra bonus here is that it's located in the coolest town in Illinois--Hinsdale. So I walk into Starbucks, and I immediately see tons of cool people. Imagine, cool people sipping on hot cool coffee while typing up something (probably way too cool for my comprehension) on their cool laptops. As soon as I was resuscitated back to reality, I thought that next time I should bring in my laptop. Then it dawned on me--sunshine yellow Dell is not cool. Who was I kidding anyway, trying to level this coolness with my own belongings? I am disposable, but Starbucks is not. Ordering is a pretty cool process at Starbucks. Now, I've only heard rumors of customized orders. You know, the really cool "hold this, add that, super low fat that, foam to the max, hold the coffee, add licorice, extra razor blades" deal, and I shamefully hadn't come prepared. My order was a totally UNcool white chocolate mocha. The cool barista caught my error and asked "any special instructions?" To my lack of cool thought, I gave a sheepish "no" and stuck my head in my uncool Target purse and began to cry. I tried to zip it up around my neck, my uncool zipper is broken. So after waiting about 3 minutes (my uncool sense of time may differ from cool Hinsdalians'), the cool barista sets a drink on the counter. I readily stood up and walked over towards the cool drink when one of Starbucks' awesomely cool customers swipes the drink from the counter. OMG How did I not read the cool barista's mind when he didn't say the name of the drink? This only instilled the belief that cool Starbucks customers and baristas are on the same cool wave length. It's completely understandable now why I foolishly thought that was my drink. Still, way uncool on my part. Sipping on my cool hot white chocolate mocha, sitting at a two-seat table, reading the Life of Pi (way uncool book), I noticed a lady walking around the table next to me in search of a chair. Her table was chairless! This could only mean that I was cooler than one person at Starbucks. I had a chair and she didn't. I bet she could feel the rooms' coolness and made a quick decision to get out. No one of her kind belongs here. This is Starbucks. It's really cool.

This is the quietest Starbucks in the suburbs. I had coffee here with a friend and it felt like a museum. However, the service was excellent. My buddy is using a knee scooter to get around after surgery and the staff was happy to accommodate us. Additionally, they brought out a fresh set of milk for our coffees, which was nice since it was late and I'm guessing they had to open a new package.

Stopped at this Starbucks as an out of towner and immediately loved the atmosphere and decor. The windows were great, the long table in the middle of the cafe was perfect for socializing, and every customer there seemed satisfied. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. There was one customer who was in line ahead of me ordering. It took about 5 minutes to redeem her holiday sampler reward drink because the cashier didn't know how to ring it in or that the drink had to be a grande size. Two baristas stood to the side talking as the cashier struggled with this. Its possible that I am a little impatient, so I overlooked how long it took. When I got up to place my order, I got a tall dark roast, with one pump of the chestnut praline and less than an inch of steamed heavy whipping cream. The cashier had me repeat the order two times. She didn't ask for my name, but that seems to be the norm at a lot of Starbucks. I waited for my drink, and finally it came out. A grande, 4 pump chestnut praline coffee with steamed half and half. I looked at the barista because I wasn't sure if that was mine or not. I told her again what it was and she seemed annoyed. I ended up taking the grande drink she made the second time, which turned out to be a misto and not a coffee, and left. I don't have time to repeat myself and get drinks made and remade at 8 in the morning on my way to an appointment. Repeat the order to me, and then write it (and my name) on the cup!! Its not that hard!!

Completely outraged, I'm a vegan and have been ordering my coffee with soy milk for YEARS!!!!! Came to this pathetic Starbucks and they gave me regular skim milk! I'm not mad at their mistake but I am mad at the way they just looked at me. They looked at me like I was crazy when I realized that after 8 years i had tasted milk again! It's like they had no care in the world about what they had just done. I felt sick to my stomach and wanted to scream but i held my composure and told them "it's ok" well when they continued to look at my husband and I like we were crazy i realized "IT IS NOT OK" i have been a loyal customers for years and never have I had such a terrible experience! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STARBUCKS I rather quit drinking Starbucks before ever going back to that place. Had they been more empathetic about tbe mistake this review would have been totally different.

I went here to study after school. The barista was very nice, and did not get annoyed when I asked for the price of pretty much everything that I could not locate on the menu. And when my drink was missing the whipped cream that I requested, I let her know and she apologized and put it on, without getting annoyed. The environment is perfect for me to work,(not too loud, but not too quiet) and I was able to get most of it done.

A Starbuck's in an oasis...I don't even remember which one--they're all the same, and they are what they are. Lines are long, but the staff are friendly and patient. Just fine for getting a caffeine injection for the road, but I wouldn't want to hang out.

There are many Starbucks to choose from. This is not the one to choose. There is one manager here, who continuously, seems to go above and out of her way to provide terrible customer service. Even so, that every time I am back home in Hinsdale after 3 months, 1 yr, etc from being away, I get this feeling that if she is working, I'll immediately regret my decision because of her rude demeanor. So, just the other day, I went above my gut and decided to go to this Starbucks. I ordered my drink and before I could finish, she told me that my soy topper, "would require a lot of steamed soy to make"(repeatedly). Implying that my order was excessive, even though it is a common order menu item. Okay, I said. (Honestly, how does that affect me, how you make the drink). I order this drink every single day at my home-town Starbucks, amongst others in their proximity, and have never once been told that. After I received my coffee with a soy topper, she had the audacity to tell me to "next time, just order cold soy". NO, I will not order cold soy, thus why I ordered a "STEAMED SOY Topper". I replied with "IT WONT BE A HASSLE TO YOU ANY LONGER, I WONT BE COMING HERE". In a customer service industry, a simple smile and "have a great day" would have been a great unimpressionable way for a Starbucks manager to finish the sale of a drink. Instead, I was confronted with her bad attitude again. When I went to tell this story to some close friends from the neighborhood, they (not shocked) knew the manager I was talking about.

I will admit...I'm just not a fan of Starbucks. But when I'm in a pinch I will stop and get myself a doppio. What I really want is a macchiato (espresso with foam) but because they've f-ed with what coffee drinks are I'm liable to end up with some caramel freak show. It's really just easier to order the doppio and sometimes I ask for a little bit of milk which causes all sorts of issues. This location is interesting only because of the communal bar in the center of the room. It took a few minutes for someone to come over and take my order, that's fine I get people are busy- but is it so hard to acknowledge that- hey you'll be with me in a minute!?!?
