The time I walked in no customer service greeting then it took 10 minutes to have a service for a drink and I have to call someone if we have a server and the attitude of the server is bad so if you have a community breakfast restaurant to go then go there !!!

Food was very good. Had the bacon omelet. Service was fair. We had 8 people so it was crowded.

This is by far the worst IHOP I have been to.It took about 20 minutes just to get our order taken. Then 30 minutes go by and still no food.Usually by that time I'm all done eating.Food finally came out and it was cold all that time waiting and at least it could have been hot.Never going there ever again.

We came on a Friday night to celebrate my mother's birthday. My parents had warned me about how the service had degraded over the past year, but they wanted to go due to a coupon. We arrived between 5 pm - 5:30 pm to a totally empty restaurant. We were seated right away. Our server was a bit unpolished but pleasant. (What do you expect from IHOP?) I had the garden omelet with a side of pancakes. The omelet was gigantic and very filling. It had a lot of crisp vegetables and lots of cheese. The pancakes were good as well. They came out hot and were fluffy. My sister had a turkey sandwich. To be honest, it looked kind of pathetic, but who am I to judge? I come from the school of going to IHOP for breakfast food exclusively. No other customers arrived during our time there. We actually felt bad for the waitstaff since they had multiple people there but no customers. Hopefully, more people showed up during the night. We did agree that service has improved over time.

I visited IHOP on 2/15/15 around 9:30 am and when I walked in I noticed the restaurant had no heat. The server seated us without letting us know and there was no sign on the door. People were complaining and nobody seemed to care. I found out for sure the heat was broken when another family walked in and asked why it was so cold. The manager said the heat was out. I am stunned they would allow the restaurant to be open and put their customers and employees through this. DineEquity will be hearing about this.

not deserving of a 1 star review - deserved a ZERO star! awful experience as a mother on mother's day. AWFUL service or lack of service. waited 1 hour for food and while we wait we didn't see our waiter anywhere. Got told by their rude ignorant manager that they have a NO WATER POLICY - meaning we don't get served with water unless you asked for water (how can we ask for water when the server was nowhere to be found); but then we heard other waiters asking their clients if they need anything - they are rude and prejudice. DO NOT COME to this establishment.

This is my favorite IHOP in the Chicagoland area. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food is great and the area is surrounded with great shopping. Free refills on Iced Coffee! What more could you as ask for!

This is the best IHOP I have ever been to. Very clean, and professionally managed. By no means are they beating the door down with Walker Brothers, but they give you a good bang of the buck. Personally I like their side of pancakes better than Walker brothers. And the tri fold style of omelettes are more to my liking. Another thing I really like about this place, they will let you pick where you sit. I scan and look for the quite area. Which always makes me happy.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Waited 40 minutes for 2 meals and when I went to kitchen to check there were 10+ entrees sitting on the counter waiting to be taken out to customers?? Needless to say food was cold and not even remotely decent.

We came back this afternoon for lunch because I did not want to waste my two-fer that would self-destruct into a wisp of smoke like in some goofy sci-fi movies (like In Time, for instance). Unfortunately, something IS wrong at this IHOP. We arrived at about noon and the place was moderately busy (20% occupied), and we took a seat. We were provided menus but no water. Then fifteen minutes passed, and nobody came to take our order. I saw one waitress shooting the bull with people seated at a booth opposite of us, but she did not wait on us, nor acknowledge us. Finally, I got urinated off and showed my wife my wristwatch (mine is a Timex, sort of like a Rolex, but it is fancier), and declared that we would leave if nobody showed up at our table within a minute. After 52 seconds transpired, our server appeared: saved from a calamity with only 8 seconds to go. Do you remember the James Bond movie in which he stopped a nuclear detonation with only 007 seconds to go? The waiter said he was busy and was working on eight tables simultaneously. That still does not excuse him (or the other staff) from ignoring us. We ordered sandwiches: Mrs B asked for fries on the side and I asked for hash browns on the side. The waiter did address our request for beverages promptly - and then disappeared in the ether. While waiting for our orders, I noticed that many of the other diners were sitting patiently waiting for service, their checks, or something else; and the entire wait staff once again disappeared. About 15 minutes later, our guy came back with our entrees. Mrs. B pointed out to him that she ordered french fries, and he had given her onion rings. I also reported that I wanted hash browns, and I got french fries. He did come back with the correct side dishes. I am really not too picky, but I don't know what's going on there - or NOT going on there; but I can only speculate that they are experiencing management problems, staffing challenges, or they are trying to save money by cutting back on service personnel. (I noticed one busboy was taking orders at some of the tables.) This was once a very nice place, but something has gone haywire. I will report this issue to "M". From Glenview with Love, 008

This is not the IHOP of my middle school memories. This is delicious IHOP. This is IHOP with a brand new menu. And also IHOP devoid of the nice old ladies that used to staff the one that I visited, and replaced with waiters who apparently couldn't care less about how much you want a refill...

So warm in here!! It was so hot out so why they did not turn up the air and just few tables!! It was about 2 in the afternoon! Turn on the fan so no air condition on? Why? Table is so sticky!! The waiter has no smile at all!! Pancake is hard!!

I cringed when my rep asked me to meet him at IHOP for breakfast. He said, "Don't worry dude. No one can mess up breakfast. You'll be ok." IHOP can, which is why I avoid this place, always. While the service wasn't bad, the bacon was limp, poorly microwaved, and looked nasty. The hash browns should be called grease tators and the eggs were edible. Still, this is about as low grade of a breakfast as you can get. It looked poor and tasted worse.

Came in on a Sunday night. About 25 people in the restaurant with ONE person working the entire floor (host, waiting, bussing, cashier). I sat for 30 minutes with no food or water and then left...without service

Worst service I have ever had! A group of us just finished eatinghere. Tiffany was our waitress. 4 out of the 8 orders were wrong and we waited 30 minutes for coffee and then 45 more for the food. Management nneds to do something fast. Lots of angry customers and management should be ashamed for not handling this

IHOP is typically IHOP, you are really not going to get much variation in the food. No complaints about the food it was standard IHOP fare, great eggs, great hashbrowns, great pancakes! Where they do vary is in the service, let me start by saying it is my pet peeve when going to a chain restaurant and they are running a special and no one knows what you are talking about when you ask them about it! My hubby really wanted the Hashbrown stackers but when we were seated we noticed we didnt get a specials menu so he was thinking maybe it hadn't started yet but we thought that would be odd since we just saw the commercial for it. So we asked the waitress and she just looked dumbfounded like we were asking for something crazy, but then she went and asked someone else, perhaps the manager, who just brought the specials menu from the last Christmas specials and said this is what you want and walked away. I wasn't sure if it was a question or a statement since he didn't wait for an answer. I know that not all restaurants participate in the promo specials but they should at least be aware of them so that they can let customers know they are not participating. It was fairly busy but not so much that our waitress could get away with ignoring us as she did. She dropped off our food, checked with us right away and never stopped by again until she brought the check, which was quite annoying considering I bought an almost $4 refillable drink that never got refilled! Overall, we would come back because food was good and the place is nicely decorated and clean, they just need to work on their service.

Every time we go there, the managers hold the door open for me and my wheelchair!! They are so nice there! And the service is excellent. I love to go there for their specials. And their 7 for $7 dollar specials. They know us, just like at the other IHOP we go to. The waitstaff is very helpful and works very hard to make you feel special. It is a little out of the way for where we live, but the food is always fresh and lots of it! They have a WEDNESDAY special for Seniors and it's never overly crowded when we go. I like that. The only thing I miss is that they have no WIFI available.

Worst I HOP I have ever been to! I went on the 4th of July before meeting up with my family and they were super understaffed and the waitress took forever to bring us our food.My poor kids waited 45 minutes to get their food and I had to ask the waitress 2 times for our food. The manager never once came.over to apologize for.the bad service that was given to us or anything.Never go here!!

At IHOP you get what you get; comfort food and pancakes at its best. Mi really enjoy this location. Clean, fast with a hard working staff and engaged managers. Tip well.

Ugh. IHOP is one of my guilty pleasures. But it's a franchise chain that really leaves it up to each owner to do things right or not. I've lived up and down the east coast and always found one or two in each area that were bright, friendly, and clean. Unfortunately this one missed all those marks for me. All the furnishes and surfaces had an age to them that wasn't pleasant, with wear and chips. The design of the dining room felt catastrophic. There was clutter in the corners, like cleaning supplies and rolled up carpet, as well as all over the cashier counter. When the manager took my check he wasn't unpleasant, but I don't remember him asking me about my meal or smiling and if he did I only remember him starting out talking on his cell phone. To be fair no one was rude or mean, but my meal and experience felt like the cliche grimy IHOP that most people imagine, which I know from experience doesn't have to be the case.

Ok, it's an IHOP. What's so great about that? Well, this is the only IHOP I'd give 5 stars to. I've been going here for seven years now, ever since we moved to Northfield. from the city. For about a month when we first moved, we ate dinner at this place almost every night. I've always loved IHOP in general, but others pale in comparison to this place. Used to live in the city, been to three IHOPs out there, and the best of those three doesn't even compare. I love the waitstaff, they are courteous, down to earth, and always have a smile on their faces. I really like how the management will do what I think every manager should (but often doesn't) do - help out where needed. Be it at the register, seating people, or during particularly busy times, assisting the waitstaff. I can't begin to say how much I respect a place with management that doesn't just stand there watching everyone else work. And one of them ALWAYS is going around asking people how things are, is their food good, hot enough, etc. I've rarely had complaints about the food or its temperature, but the few times I did, it's been taken back without balking or charging extra. Can't say that about every place I've been at. I don't go here nearly as much as I used to. But we do go occasionally. I took my mom there for her Mother's Day present (since that's what she wanted). Had a great time as always, the food was great, and we left very happy.

When I come here I honestly feel like I'm family. I've been coming here every Sunday with my grandparents for the last few years and every member of the staff treats us great. The food is no different than your average IHOP food, but the workers are one of a kind. They are so genuine and gracious to both myself and my grandparents. If only every restaurant had such kind employees. On a side note if you're a meat fan and you love omelets you have to try the Colorado omelet! It is loaded with steak, bacon, green peppers, cheese, and onions. It's definitely not healthy, but it hits the spot every time!

The problem I have with this IHOP is probably the same problem I have with all IHOPs. They are terribly outdated. If you want to go for an older look, own it. Go vintage. If not, replace your tables, chairs, and counters. Clean your floors and your windows. Turnover your staff. Otherwise, you cannot save yourself from my criticisms of being dirty and drab. What makes it worse for this particular establishment is that you can TASTE the smoke in the air, despite being smoke free for a year. Yuck. I have been to their other establishments and never have I been served biscuits and gravy that consisted of two sausage links ON TOP (not mixed into) watery gravy on a stale biscuit. Eek!

This IHOP location is one of the newer built. We all decided to go with the combo 2eggs,2 bacon,2 sausuges, hash brown + apple crepes with whip cream, for a cost of about $7. Everything tasted well expecially the crepes.... Only problem i had was the bacons ware a bit too dry for my tasting. only problem we had was one plate was given 4 strips of bacon, ratther than 2 bacon & 2 saugages. Sure the cook was overworked, but waitress should have seen it. Our waitress forgot the straws she initially indicated she would bring for the juice glasses. One thing I noticed would have grossed out most people. With us sitting near the entrance area, I noticed a huge bug, about 1 1/2 inches long, crawling along the floor, which was brought to the attention of the front desk. My guess it came from the front door area. Pricine total including taxes for three ran about $35.00, which is a bit pricy for breakfast. It it werent' for the minor problems, noted above, I would have given this place 4 star.
