It's always a great experience when I come to this location! I usually place my order online before coming in, since it's a very busy location and even when the line is out the door they take care of me immediately. Big thanks to the cashier Carter for always taking care of me. Thank You!

There's not much I can comment on about Chipotle. Basically if you've eaten here you know it's great. It always bothers me when people say that Chipotle is not that healthy, it's high in calories, fat, carbs, etc. Let's face it, if you don't know that cheese and sour cream add a lot of fat, or that rice has a lot of carbs, you have no business commenting on diet. It's probably easier to eat healthier here than at almost any other fast food restaurant. Make good choices people. Parking downtown Elmhurst is not easy. This location has a limited, but a nice, outside seating area. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Yelp!

Elmhurst chipotle gets it right...like most chipotle's. They understand what it takes to be a champion. However, there are a few things that makes the Elmhurst location the best. Service. Quality. Speed. Efficiency. None of these are a big surprise. But the staff here makes it. Perfection in guest service sets them apart. As does the very eccentric Jamie. Paints herself up like the lady from the "Drew Carey" show but hustles as hard as anyone I have ever scene in the restaurant business. Jaime makes you feel like Family every day. I don't care if you are in the mood for sushi...or a burger and a beer...I recommend a taco for the lone reason you can meet the elmhurst staff that runs the local chiptle!!!

What can I say? It's chipotle and it's delicious. It's a busy location so be prepared to take it home.

Apprently "a little" salsa to their incompentent burrito-bowl fillers means dump an entire ladle on my food. Always order it on the side or they'll mess up your lunch..

Preparation of food is not up to Chipotle par level. Vegetables were way undercooked. Likewise the brown rice tonight. And allocation of guacamole was 1/2 spoonful, at most. Seating area is spacious at this location. Although the centrally located single doorway made for constant arctic blasts every couple minutes. Overall, not up to snuff.

It's the same food you'd get at any Chipotle, but left a sour taste in my mouth due to the staff. They got my order wrong IN FRONT OF ME and when I said "wait, no, I can't have sour cream, I'm lactose intolerant." They challenged me that I'd still have to pay for it. Seriously? I said NO CHEESE NO SOUR CREAM to their face. On a faxed order, I can see how things could get mixed up, but in person? Spend your money at Qdoba on St. Charles. Their staff is much more tuned in and friendlier.

Pretty tasty food and awesome guacamole; smooth and delicious. The hard shell tacos with chicken is my favorite with everything. Every time it tastes awesome. The Elmhurst location is amazing. I can't wait when the New location opens on rt 83 and st Charles rd. That location is gonna be extremely busy as many people pass by that spot on a daily basis.

Dog sitting for one of my best friends here in Elmhurst and felt like some Americana...enter Chipolte Mexican Grill. In high school I usually could put away 2 burritos stuffed with rice, beans, sour cream, corn salsa, and of course chicken because I was being healthy, right? Nowadays...I try to eat like a normal human being rather than someone who hasn't seen food in three weeks. I noticed two things (been a while since I have been to a Chipotle). They have salads which I was told differs from the burrito bowl because you get lettuce. You know what Jay Z said...more money more problems...more lettuce more roughage...right? So some slices of lettuce are the difference between a bowl and a salad here at Chipotle. I got my salad with fajita vegetables, guacamole pinto and black beans. I went with carnitas. The second thing I noticed is that they now have tofu called sofritas. SO COOL! Ha! I got my sour cream on the side. Portion control, America. This restaurant has really taken off ever since I was in high school in 2006-07. I don't eat there as much or even as much when I'm there... But it has always been a good option. You're in an airport or on the go... you can grab a nutritious meal at Chipotle. Doesn't mean you can get the flour tortilla, rice, guacamole, cheese and chips and salsa. Stick to the basics, friends.

Here's to you, Ms. Chipotle Manager Lady. So I went to the Elmhurst Chipotle today and ordered the quesarito. This is one of those Internet sensation foods that you read about, but aren't technically on the menu. The girl at the tortilla station didn't know what I was talking about, but the one next to her knew and explained it to her. When it was all made I was at the cashier paying for it and they ended up charging me for a burrito and a quesadilla. I expected it to cost a bit more because it took more time and effort to prepare, but I mentioned that I was surprised that they rang it up that way since I was really only getting one food item. I wasn't upset at all, just surprised. The cashier said, "Yeah, I know it seems strange. But we got an e-mail about these from management and that's how they want us to ring them up." No big deal, it is what it is. So I paid for it and sat down with my friend who was joining me for lunch. A few minutes later the manager came out. "I'm really sorry we had to charge you so much for that. I told corporate I think we're overcharging, but since it's an off-menu item we have to do what they say." "No problem, I wasn't upset at all. I was just happy you were able to make it." Then she hands me this fancy foil-embossed holographic card and says, "This is good for a burrito next time you come in, on us." That was nice, wasn't it? Totally nice. So I ate my quesarito all happily. It was okay, a lot more fall-aparty than their burritos, but all-in-all not that impressive. I was happy I'd tried it, like when you see a weird specialty item at a burger place that you have to try, knowing you won't want to have it every time you go. And then, as I took my second-to-last bite, I pulled out a long, brown hair from my mouth. So there's that. I didn't mention it, still embarrassed by the manager's super-kind gesture, I wasn't about to complain about a hair in my food. But my friend insisted, so I promised that I'd call them later, which I did. Once again, the manager was super friendly and apologetic. I told her I just wanted her to know, I didn't want a replacement or anything. I also didn't mention that I was the one she already gave that Burrito Fast Pass card to. I just wanted to write this review to show people that I think she's doing an awesome job. Every time I visit she's out there helping clean up, or take orders, or prepare food. I appreciate that. Thank you, Ms. Chipotle Manager Lady. Today I salute you. Ms. Chipotle Manager, Ladaaay!

Everyone was so nice!!! Most pleasant staff I have ever seen. It was kinda dirty, though... Could've used some cleaning up a bit, but over all it was a good experience!!

Normally I don't care much for Chipotle, but my friends decided to go there to eat, and I had to tag along. I noticed right from the get go, as I was waiting in line, the girl who was taking the orders and preparing the food, was very sweet and kind. Her name is Kiarri, and I just wanted to point out that her customer service was just excellent. I went in with one attitude, and came out totally satisfied and happy that she was the one fulfilling my food order. I also work in the customer service industry and I know how difficult it can be to keep a smile on your face when you are just ready to go home. Thanks to Kiarri, I can now honestly say, when I come to Elmhurst to visit my friends, I won't hesitate to swing by this Chipotle and grab a bite to eat.

Everyone is super nice and depending on who is working, they load you up with food on the burrito bowl. I wish it was bigger because their is often no place to sit .... It's always, always packed! Very consistent but the only pain in the behind is that they get behind with rice and chicken so you have to wait ... But then you get the fresh stuff so I guess you win some and lose some.

This is the best Chipotle I have been too, and I go to quite a few! The service is fast and friendly. Jamie is great, she always checks me out with a smile and remembers my order! Love them there. And I know this is a chain, but the food is good there, never had a bad bowl, hard rice or beans. I have been to others and the friendliness of the staff is great. I have never had an issue, but I have seen them really willing to accommodate a customer with special issue or request! Thanks guys!

What that ANOTHER Kyle B Chipotle review? Yes I'm a Chipotle addict and no I have no intention of stopping and have no remorse for said addiction. Chipotle addict for life. Anyway this one is standard. Exactly what you expect exactly how you expect it. Only good or bad part that particularly stuck out was the cashier having to be tracked down for me to pay. Not a long delay but longer than I want when grabbing fast food. That said I don't dock them much for that as it seemed the cashier was simply attending to other responsibilities. If I'm ever in the area again when a burrito bowl itch strikes I'll surely return. Burrito on my friends!

Pleased with my visit and the staff was very friendly. The last two times I have stopped in (one month apart), the naturally raised beef have not been available. How long is the shortage going to persist? Is this going to be the norm?

This Chipotle has really great customer service. Every time I go in there everyone is friendly and takes my order promptly. There is one guy, who may be a manager, don't know, who is really nice and treats all the customers well. The food is good, I get the same thing everytime I go, a vegetarian burrito bowl and it's always tasty. The only thing I don't like about this place is the location, there's never any close parking unless you luck out and someone is leaving.

  • Charles S.

I love Chipotle and this one is pretty much like most of the others. Tasty, big portions served fast and hot. My only real complaint is that the management at this Chipotle does nothing about the crowds of kids that hang out here. Particularly on weekends, crowds of kids occupy the seating here and hang out yet almost never order anything except an occasional drink. They aren't here to eat, just socialize. I realize the restaurant is facing the town square where the kids hang out and skateboard but a lot of people walk here from nearby businesses and its always a gametime decision to eat in or carry out, based on whether or not the kids have left any free tables in the restaurant. I don't like carrying out my food on a cold day; how about keeping the teens to a minimum so the paying customers can sit down and eat?

Went in and got a steak burrito with the rice, lettuce, pinto beans, sour cream, cheese, corn salsa, and hot salsa. It was very good and my hubby and I enjoyed it. I am in the area sometimes on the weekend so I will most likely be back. The staff was also really nice.

I just love chipotle! I've been to a few questionable ones but this one is usually on point! Staff is friendly and I love sitting outside. Chips have been stale a few times but other than that the chips and guac are usually amazing. Im a huge chipotle fan.

Anthony M - sweet review - coolest jokes ever. Problem with this Chipotle is no one knows how to roll a big burrito..If you get extra anything, they rip the burrito and won't double wrap it, so you lose out on a lot of ingredients. Lame.

  • Sarah B.

I did not have the same experience as the other reviewer, at least not at Chipotle ;-). They have delicious food, very filling and at a reasonable price. The location is also good, right downtown across from the theater. Much better than Taco Bell but still won't beat a real Mexican restaurant.

our food order was good and the order was correct as we ate in. the attitude of the staff was poor. against policy to cut a burrito in half? is there anything else you need?? it was more the tone than the content, the manager made a point of not making eye contact w any of the customers

It's Chipotle, what do you expect? Fresh, delicious, fast, easy, and tasty? Check. Friendly, efficient service? Check. Not very expensive? Check. Now if they can just add horchata to their beverage selections...

They were very quick, but my burrito was a little sloppy and the rice was slighty undercooked compared to usual Chipoltes.

Hold everything...Someone call the people at the Noble Peace Prize offices...because I just discovered the cure for constipation...It's called Chipotle`Mexican Grill..or as the locals like to call it, "Colon Blow" It's incredible colon flushing action is so powerful and so fast...you may just want to eat your meal sitting on the toilet. Makes no difference what you order everything on the menu has the same magical effect on your bowels. Call it an educated guess..but I would say that Chipotle is definitely using a flavor enhancer (sometimes known as MSG) that gives their flavorful food the ability to stop you in your tracks...momentarily ..then high tail it to the nearest toilet. Today with the internet consumers are smarter and will avoid foods with MSG...But the food industry is one step ahead of you so they changed the name of MSG to other names that slip under your radar...Butt in the end (literally) ..it does not matter what they call it...the effects are the same and quite obvious...The food moves through you faster than a Chinese bullet train....faster than a Paris Hilton movie at the theaters..(now that's fast.) Basically every meal on the menu comes with a free side of Montezuma's Revenge, and if your are not looking for a pain in the ass...I would avoid this establishment. But there still may be hope for this intestinal enemy...Downtown all the cool folks love to go for colonics. Colonics is a process in which your colon is flushed with warm water. The idea is that it helps you to detoxify and keeps you young and full of vitality. But why go lie in a clinic somewhere and get flushed out for 100.00 per session when you can just go eat a 3.50 burrito and have fun while doing something good for your body. I guarantee the burrito will flush more than just some warm water would.. Doctors could prescribe burrito's to any of their patients suffering with constipation. And old folks could just get a chimi changa instead of drinking prune juice each day just to get pumpin'. The people at Chipotle` really need to cash in on this marketing opportunity. They could do a joint ad campaign and promotional giveaway with Charmin...Each customer gets a free roll of toilet paper with each order....since an entire roll is what you will need to mop up with after your dinner at this intestinal gauntlet. Next to the cash register instead of a bowl of mints they should have a bowl of the anti diarrhea medication; Imodium AD; so customers can grab a handful for the road...And for those who have a long car ride; they should sell Depends; adult diapers..they would make a killing! That is 3 product endorsement/crossovers alone! I'm not even going to mention Preparation H or Tucks medicated pads....well...actually I just did. What are you waiting for? Head down to Chipotle for a Chulupa enema....your poop pipes will thank you. And in the mean time you may want to install metal handrails on both sides of your toilet so you have something to hang on to. Como este` frijole` Translation: "How've you bean?" Chipotle~: Home of intestinal fortitiude and destruction conveniently wrapped in a healthy airy tortilla....Actually that tortilla should probably be made of toilet paper....

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
