Yeah, WTF?! First of all I went through the drive through on the way home from a 5 cases of beer and 3 bottles of whiskey between 4 guys kind of night and I was hungry as hell! I had my son in the car with me (it was also a sleep over with alot of good friends and everybody's kids) so we were ready for lunch. Pulled up to the window after I ordered a simple 2 piece kids chicken fingers and a whopper with a coke. I handed my dough over, got my drinks with change back and sat there waiting for my food for 5-6 min. After that the4 young lady at the pull up window asked if I could pull up and wait, what? Its a 2 piece chicken finger kids meal and ONE WHOPPER! YOUR FRANCHISE SANDWICH! She says they have to cook the chicken, so I pull around into the parking lot around the corner and there's ANOTHER CAR WAITING! I sat there for a good 8 min before I told my son that we have to get out and get our money back because the people at Burger King can't make burgers. As I get out of the car some other dude in his car with his kid gets out and starts bitchin too!! 3 cars waiting for food!! When I walked in the "manager" was walking out with a bag of food, I stopped him dead in his tracks and told him to turn around and give me my money now. I shouldn't have to wait 14-15 min for a whopper and two pieces of chicken! WTF?! His hands trembled as he handed over the money, we got back in the car (with our now free drinks) and drove to Arby's. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!

Perhaps the most indifferent place (in all aspects) that I have ever eaten at. All the employees have grim faces - never have I got a "hello" or a "thank you" - or even a smile (seriously). Combined with the generic and dated decor and artwork, this is kind of a depressing experience in it's entireity. All I remember about the food is that the cooks are constantly opening and slamming the doors on microwaves - and the food tastes appropriately. The positive thing is that I invariably get one or two onion rings in my fries - and it always makes me wish I got onion rings instead.

OK, I usually don't gripe about bad fast food as my expectations are never high to begin with (Panda Express being the exception to my rule). I feel I just have to vent on this one. Now I have been there maybe 15 or 20 times in the last few years as I live very close to there. Every time I have gone in there I come out asking myself why do i keep going back? I have never had a simple smile, let alone a cheery employee greet me. The store almost has a depressing shroud over it. Recently my father and I stopped there for breakfast on the way to a job (we work construction together). Upon entering, there was literally one other customer in there during what I would think are "peak" breakfast hours. That alone should have tipped us off. The guy ahead of us literally waited 5-10 minutes for his coffee and breakfast sandwich. We then order and Our Crissantwich, double crissantwich, hashbrowns, coffee, and orange juice took 15 minutes. 15 MINUTES!!!! Seriously? We didn't even order anything special or different. After all of that, we didn't even get a "sorry for the delay.. are coffee machine is broke" or something like that. Just throw the food on the counter and walk back to the kitchen. Never Again. Yelp On, -Dan

The one positive thing you could say about eating at Burger King is that it's ... filling?! In terms of aesthetics, this Burger King is run down and there is absolutely nothing to see out of the windows. Oh, you can look at the back of Jiffy Lube, or you can watch the cars going by on North Avenue. I guess that's something. Actually, both of those options may be better than looking closely at anything inside the restaurant. In terms of the food, I had the Whopper. It tasted exactly like I expected. However, I was pleased that the fries were better than I remembered. I probably won't be back, but there are two other BK's in town to choose from. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Yelp!

A friend of mine was here recent and observed an employee dropping a a burger bun on the ground, and picking it up and placing it on the patty. Nasty fast food place.

Don't usually write reviews for fast food joints like this but I must. BK is a favorite and the food never fails for fast food especially if you're on the go, but this place did miserably with the staff on Saturday day shift. Bottom line... ordered via drive thru... waited 15min one car in front of me... got to the window was asked again what I ordered.... told to pull over into parking spot and waited another 10 minutes for order. Asked for receipt because didn't trust what they charged... went into restaurant where service rep ignored my request, had to ask mgr to retrieve one...opened my yumbo and they didn't add the cheese ##@$@#$.. really? Gave up and ate it anyway because was tired of waiting on this incompetence. How could you get this wrong. Was hoping yelp could add 0 star rating..

I like to have some coffee on my morning run to work here and there. Now, I'm not much of a fast food junkie and I don't expect fast food to be a five star experience but I do expect a decent quality experience and food. I have been to this BK location on a different occasion and it was also in the morning, awful experience with the food and not so much good customer service either; as if one doesn't feel welcomed. Anyway, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe that one time was a bad day, who knows, I said let's try again. Mind you, I would usually go to Dunkin donuts or Starbucks for a quick morning bite and coffee but this time (which I should have and I did right after DD saved my morning) , I said, let's just go and see. I make my order in the drive-thru and order a medium coffee with a sausage, egg, cheese muffin. I get to the window, friendly Hispanic lady, no problem, ok, I get my order in seconds and take off. I immediately cringed as I already had a bad experience once knew this was going to make another; the muffin bread was stiff like it had no life or desire to enter my system, it was just a sad sandwich, just cold and feel that whoever is making food back there doesn't care about quality. Then the coffee was just as terrible, I feel as if they don't clean that coffee machine because the taste unlike other BKs I've been to does not have the taste this coffee had; almost rancid or as if they headed to the microwave and heated it for me. To make matters worse I DID NOT EVEN GET A RECEIPT?!?! How can I reference this experience to a manager? Well, nonetheless, this experience ultimately steered me away from this BK location forever, I'll take my business elsewhere where they won't half ass my order to make dandy with a customer. My advice would be, if they plan on keeping this location good with the public they really need to take their quality of food to a respectable level, perhaps embellish the management and cooks or hire new ones. Regardless of how the fast food industry has been scrutinized by the public, I don't expect a lot and I get it, but it doesn't have to come to the price of a bad experience because customers will remember that and once you loose one you'll loose the entire public.

The Saga continues: I had spoken to a Manager at BK, about the little mishap. She apologized and said she would investigate it and that I would get 3 small Coke icys free when I came by. Ok, sounded great. Weds. My friend, her daughter and I where in the area so we went to the drive thru. Upon arrival the clerk was advised of the deal. She said to proceed to the drive-up window, which I did. A hispanic supervisor came to the window and asked if I still had the orignal receipt. I advised her I did not and she continued to question me as if I was trying to scam icys out of her. She too did not have a handle on English, the clerk acted as a translater for her. She then checked a white book to see if the Manager had left a note on this. There was no note, so she asked what day the mishap happened. I told her on Halloween. She then called the hispanic cook to the front to confirm the coke icy machine was not working. She then said the Coke icy machine was still not working and asked if we would accept Cherry Flavored, which I agreed to. She then prepared two Cherry icys and handled them to me. I then advised her I was supposed to get 3 icys free. The Supervisor and the clerk then conversed in Spanish. The clerk then advised me I could only get two because I did not have the receipt. I then left, once again F-----at the drive thru. Like I am the icy fraudster, conning BK out of icys. They still could not get things correct. Poor, Poor, Poor customer relations. I ask would you pass this on to their corporate office of just let it go. This is whats wrong now days no one is accountable for bad service. It funny, but really sad, or maybe I just have to much time on my hands. BK, still owes me one small coke icy.

What a sad little place. The service was bad, 3 of the 4 items we ordered were incorrect or not even rang up, and the guy at the window blamed us for not speaking clearly, while he spoke very broken English. Never again.
