Brand spankin' new roadhouse right on the main drag to Galena caters to bikers and tourists alike. We went there for the first time today, although they have now been open for 9 weeks. This place has a lot of character and nostalgia. Came to try the burgers, which are juicy half pound tasty beef done to order with various trimmings. The prices are slightly higher than the menu online, and they do charge extra for fries/fried chips and coleslaw, which I can either take or leave. Actually the burger was huge enough to fill me up without additional sides. Full bar, game room (billiards), band stand and outdoor dining available. Lots of parking. Although the burgers are great, I would definitely be interested in coming back to try some of their other fare. They have appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Interesting drink menu though we just opted for a couple cold Leinies today.

Waitress was texting on her phone, instead of taking care of Tables. The Brisket dinner was pricey, had to little amount of Cole Slaw, and had to give $3.00 more for Onion Rings. Was NOT worth it. The Wife got a 1/2 of chicken, a Small Chicken, she joke about it as being a chick.. But the Chicken and Brisket did Taste Good. Will NOT go Back. There are Better places out there. Did Like the Inside and the Decor..

We love the atmosphere at Sharks, and the bartenders were always friendly and made for a great time (RIP Dave). However the food has been hit or miss--with more big misses lately than hits. The menu has changed to smokehouse BBQ--the ribs which used to be only a Saturday night special and the most delicious food item available are now on the menu every night and are terrible. They were salty and served cold. Sides were marginal--the corn tasted like the gas from the grill; the beans were fairly tasteless. The highly touted peach cobbler was a sweet soupy mess with a gummy crust. The place is so cool we really want to patronize it more but besides stopping in for a quick drink, there are few reasons to go. Sharks--you could have a good thing going if you would improve the food. Bar food is just fine provided that it's GOOD bar food......

We ALMOST missed this gem because it looked like a "biker bar" only kind of place from the outside. Drove into Elizabeth to a place right in the heart of downtown, took a look at the people coming and going and realized that wasn't the kind of place we were looking for, either and said, "let's turn around and go to that Shark's place a few minutes back". I'm SOOOO glad we did! It's a very rustic look and the lot was super muddy because it had rained all day, but we toughed it out and went inside with trepiation. Absolute pleasant surprise. I ordered the pulled pork and I'm usually not a pork fan because it gets so dry so quickly, but this was not the case at Shark's. Their BBQ sauce is like something I've never tasted before. Absolutely devine. Their homemade chips were fantastic with a lil BBQ sauce (they keep 3 different kinds on the table). We have driven out west so many times and passed this place so many times. Now, all I can do is daydream of the soonest time I can go back. The hubby agreed 100%. P.S - drinks were great, too. Very rarely can I get Absoute Citron AND REAL lemonade. They are the perfect balance of booze and juice. Prices were totally reasonable on food and drink.

Stopped by here on a Tuesday with the family. Had the 1/3 pound burger special for five bucks...... Not bad not great either. BUT what they do not tell you is that on the burgers they charge 75. For lettuce .75 for pickles 75 for tomato and 1.00 for cheese...what a rip off... I used to love to stop in here on the scooters when we were out cruising. Not anymore...place seems to have went down hill.

We decided to give Sharks another try. I was very disappointed when we went in July. But we thought let's try one more time - after all everyone has at least one bad day - even a Roadhouse. Well we were very happy that we gave Sharks another try. The food was great. My husand had the burger and it was juicy and cooked just right. The chips were tasty too. I had the special - Prime Rib sandwich and they prepared it as ordered. It was soooo good - I was stuffed but had to eat it all!! The service was great. I ordered Ice Tea and then I decided I also wanted some vodka, the waiter suggested sweet tea vodka which I never had before but it sure made for the best darn ice tea I have had. We are happy to have Sharks back in our lives!! Just one thing - please bring back the mini brats!!

A giant shark hanging like today's catch mixed with country theme has to intrigue anyone driving by this place. I have been a handful of times now, and am never disappointed. Is it typical 'bar' food? Yes. But its yummy sandwiches that don't disappoint, they have good sweet potato fries too. The outside looks like a newer well kept Morton Building but inside is like a woodsy, warm lodge, everything is clean, and not what you'd expect driving by. On nice days, you may see a ton of bikes out front but don't be intimidated by that. Sharks is no dive bar either. They do have a nice outdoor patio area weather permitting. Great place to grab a meal without having to go into Galena and deal with all the tourists and lack of parking.

The brisket was one of the best I've ever had! The meat was cut thick and was amazingly tender....I highly recommend this place.
