Went to eat there for dinner tonight. My son was home visiting and left saying this is the best Chinese food he had had and he eat it all over loving it. We had the Mongolian shrimp it was to be spicy and it was not and I was ok wtih that... I know my son said most place if you want it spicy even if it says that most places you have to tell them you want it (must get alot of complains) My husband has the sweet and sour pork and loved it. Son had the SMALL refried chicken rice (bigger than he excepted it to be) and he also got the general chicken asking to more spicy and than normal and it was more than I could eat. It was early dinner time 4:30 and by time i we got done it was half full.... I was more than happy with our visit tonight. Not our first time we had been there since we live in the area and always had good food. The waitress was good ... she kept the table clean from dirty dishes and my tea filled and my son water filled. GOOD Visit OVER ALL

Well, we drove to Bolingbrook to go to Golden Corral, cuz our kids love it, but it was packed. So I saw the Grand Opening sign above Golden Chopsticks and figured we'd go there instead. And we were not disappointed. We ordered eggrolls and crab rangoon for an appetizer, neither of which was greasy. The crab rangoon was good, and the eggrolls were fantastic! My kids had the chicken kids meal, which came with fries and fried rice........the fried rice was a little greasy, but the chicken was very good. The amount of food they got was crazy! My husband and I got pork fried rice and cashew chicken. The fried rice was good--a lot of meat in it, lots of bean sprouts, just the way we like it. The cashew chicken had white sauce instead of brown sauce, but it was really good. Everything we had tasted freshly made, and we really enjoyed it. With the Grand Opening sign and the number of employees hovering around the restaurant, I think that possibly it is under new management, so maybe previous reviews no longer apply.....I don't know, give it a try. We would go there again, definitely!

This was my favorite Chinese place for years, they have changed since moving to the new location. The last take out order I placed, they made us wait almost an hour after the pick up time with no explanation. The waiting area was packed with people and they wouldn't say what the hold up was. When I finally got my food, there was no veggies and no meat - all bean sprouts! I was so frustrated at this point - I went back in and they added a few beans. I will never go there again - food has gone downhill and they are not respectful of their customers.

If we are basing this review on food. I have only had a problem once with the taste of the food being off. Other than that, I have gone here since I was a kid, over 20 years and there food has always been the same and hasn't changed its authenticity. I am a huge Chinese food fan and critic, and I can promise you, you will not find a Mongolian beef better than this place. I have tried everywhere and usually other places pile it on with a crap load of onions and a few pieces of beef with a watery sauce. but here is nice and spicy, BBQ like sauce with huge portion of just marinated beef( unless you get the lunch special which will have a few nasty onions, id just request no onions or skip the lunch special portion all together and get the regular size) SO good. There fried rice is good. Egg foo young has a unique orange colored gravy i haven't seen anywhere. and their sweet and sour chicken is pretty damn good too. egg rolls, thick and stuffed. and again there sauces are like no other place i have seen or tasted. their chicken teriyaki sticks have a BBQ sauce drenched on them that is killer. NOW if you are picky about service, and how your treated, you can leave that shit at the door. They are usually pretty rude, ignorant and you can barely understand the lady that works there. The man who is the owner, is nice, but they don't do a lot of free bees. so if your food came out right, be happy cus your not getting much else from them.

I know before they moved we never liked the food when we lived in the area since the move we tried the pork fried rice only and loved it not sure about the other items but at night it looks like a cool place to dine only gave 3 stars because i know the food use to be bad but recently i had the fried rice twice to go and it was really good We went here over the weekend - the food is greatly improved but i found the service to be really slow I was happy to see they offered a kids menu but not happy they did not offer anything for kids to drink, no milk, no juice only Orange juice. Sorry but my daughter drinks Hi C or milk. the way I see it if you want to see families come out more - you need to offere things for the little people in the group. Lucky for me i had a cup of milk in a cooler in my car and brought it in. otherwise their food is greatly improved from 15 yrs ago, i will return in the future or do more takeouts but if you go with little people remember to bring a drink for them

If I lived closer, this would be my first choice for Chinese food. The facilities are nice, service is efficient, and the food is good.

This place has the best lunch specials it is worth it.. I have been going here for the past 10 years or so... The only thing i don't like is the older woman that works the register she is never nice and just has an attitude. Other than that i love the food and carry out and eat in there.. They moved to a bigger nicer location and it is all the more better.. I really enjoy the drinks try the Mai Thai's.. YUM!

This place must have changed owners because it went from really good food and great drinks to, Run Forest run. I had the Wonton soup and it looked just like wrong. There were huge slices of dryed pork roast, a couple of w/t's and a 1/4 of a hard boiled egg? Where the hell did that come from. My friend had the sweet and sour and he said it was just o.k. I had the Mongolian beef. It has a red pepper next to it on the menu. But it was wasn't spicy or hot? It had nothing in common with mongolia. We also had the beef Lo Mein. It came in a frickin pie dish? Did they run out of Lo Mein noodles? It looked like spagetti. The drinks were pretty bad also. I have never seen a Chinese restaurant that had fruit smoothies. But I should have known by the french fries on the menu that this was more of a strap on the feed bag and get out, then a serious restaurant. I would have given it 1/2 a star but I don't know how to do that. I am done. The only thing that this place has to offer is that it's in Bolingbrook. Bring your wife.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
