Hours are nice, they close most nights at 10pm so I went with a buddy for some greasy food before going out. In short (I got a cheese quesadilla) Made well Inexpensive But not that greasy, great either way But the best part was the horchata...I don't know if it's made in house but it was amazing alone (even better with rum) also inexpensive.

Great little joint tucked away on Route 14 in Barrington. They had just run out of take out menus. Wish they had them. My son order 2 steak burritos. They were good. Lots of refried beans tho. The price was pretty good $12/2 burritos. I think this is a great teen hangout and more of a take out place. Nonetheless, we'll be back. Ps it would be nice if they post their menu on line (like the other restaurants in the area)

Bronco burrito just threw a wrench into the Barrington lunch game. My co-workers and I usually have a go-to spot for every type of cuisine for our lunch break, whether it's burgers, pizza, Asian, breakfast, etc. For cheap tacos, old reliable has been Paul's burrito express for the past few years. We always thought what could be better than Pauls? The tacos were good and cheap, and it was within minutes of the office. Well, the answer is an equally good taco joint even closer to the office: Bronco burrito. We tried going to Paul's on Cinco de Mayo and we were shocked to hear that they were so busy there was a 30 minute wait to get your food. Ain't nobody got time for that. Refusing to give up on our taco crave, we took a gamble and gave Bronco burrito a shot since we were always curious how good it was. It recently took over the old Kooker's location and we were pretty skeptical it could top Paul's. First off, I gotta say the parking lot was bigger and the inside was much nicer than Paul's. But the true test had to be the food. Just looking at the menu, everything looked really similar price-wise. Tacos were slightly more expensive, around the $2.50 mark, and burritos were hovering around the $5-6 range. I got the some of the same stuff I usually get at Paul's and it was pretty damn close in terms of quality. I'm convinced that Bronco either buys from the same distributor or they are somehow secretly affiliated with Paul's. The similarities are just so close. The chicken was just as moist and flavorful, the beef was almost as good, maybe just a tad less spiced. The tortillas had a similar freshness to it, and I swear even the salsa and their containers were identical. I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. Service was a little slow, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just the extra Cinco de Mayo traffic. Overall, a solid new addition to the Barrington lunch scene. I hate to say it, since I'm a loyal Paul's fan, but Bronco just might steal some of my business if I don't feel like dealing with the backed up traffic on Hough St.

Same owner as the Paul's Burrito Express in downtown Barrington. Really love the food here. I'm not sure why they opened a 2nd location under a completely different name which sorta confuses things but its in a location now that's easier for me to get to so that's good. I highly recommend the steak burrito. Actually, anything steak there is awesome. Whatever tender cuts they use and spices they use is some of the best I've ever had in terms of Mexican food. LOVE IT.

I went with the non-fish taco dinner with steak, chicken and pork (they do also have fish tacos). All were tasty, it's clear that the chicken and steak are grilled here and fresh. The pork is also tasty, it's sliced pieces like the steak rather than shredded/carnitas, and it's fairly spicy (but not too hot even for a non-hothead like me). It also appears to be grilled here. The tacos are on soft corn tortillas. Rice and beans are pretty standard. The restaurant is clean and well lit with mostly booths and a few tables; you order at the counter and someone brings it out to you. Total for the dinner plus a small horchata was just over $9. I'm hoping these folks do ok, I certainly expect to be back - possibly even to try their (small) breakfast menu. I don't believe they have public wifi of their own, but I picked up both Comcast/Xfinity and attwifi (from the McDonalds' across the street).

This is my 1st review, and an open letter to the new restaurant owner: First, no one really wants to wait and watch you train someone on the register while we order. Get in the restaurant a few hours early and practice, don't practice with the customers. And, be sure the person your training knows how to make change! This was a Sunday @ 11:30 for reference, no one there except one other couple. Food took over 10 minutes, don't mind waiting for good food, which this wasn't! My wife ordered 2 quesadilla's, and a side of refried beans, and my order was a steak burrito. Here is some good advice to you when you have a new business, and you want to be successful: Don't be cheap with the ingredients, if we like your food, we will come back and spend more money with you! The quesadilla's barely had any cheese, less than any typical Mexican restaurant. The refried beans were absolutely awful! First they were luke warm (hot is better). Second they still had the skin on them formed as they were refrigerated overnight (stir them). Third, they had zero taste, bland as could be to the point of why bother eating them (seasoning). The burrito was just okay, steak had nice favor to it, but where was the cheese, I looked I didn't see any? Overall this was very disappointing, and I will not go back, there are better choices in the area.

So I went here not too long ago to grab some food for the office and I. Like clockwork I tried the lengua ( tongue) burrito, horchata ( rice milk ) and I also got some tacos for a coworker. The meat in the burrito was not fresh at all and the horchata had a sour taste to it. I'm assuming most people in Barrington don't eat lengua let alone know what the hell it is, so I imagined that the meat was probably old and they didn't want to waste it. Understandable, but unfortunately when you're dealing with food, ESPECIALLY meat products, you need to keep it fresh all the time. No questions asked. I'm assuming the same scenario stood for the horchata as well. It sucks to have to leave such an awful review especially for a new business but hopefully this will make it to management and they will make the right choices in the future as far as food quality / food management is concerned. The staff was very friendly and the decor was comfortable. I look to give em another chance in the future and hopefully my next experience changes my tune.

Ordered the joker (beef). The joke was on me. $10.00 and was barely heavier than the king for $5.55. Worst part is it was lacking any flavor at all. Was doughy and bland. Best bet is to get 2 king size.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
